Pros: Great location especially if like us you are travelling further South. We were made very welcome. Spotlessly clean room and great en suite facilities. Very good breakfast.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful spacious bedroom with delightful fittings/shower and an enormous comfy bed.
Cons: Not really a complaint but the location of the premises is in a small village with no services for a meal, the nearest town was 4.5 miles away and the restaurants are located in a really busy shopping centre/industrial estate, O.K. for a meal but not the most enjoyable of locations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Monica is the best! Very engaging and a delight. Apricot jam; especially the apricot jam!!!!
10.0 Excellent

The people were very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was delightful, everything was a high quality, fresh and delicious. We couldn't fault the place or the people, thus place gets a very rare (I've never said this before) 10 out of 10!

7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast, warm and friendly welcome from angelina
Cons: Room too warm.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owners of this break and breakfast (momentarily one room) did an amazing job restoring and decorating not only the room but also their own living space downstairs. The old house (I believe >100 years) is still partly visible in the room and downstairs but the restoration is done very professional with a modern touch, very impressive! The room we stayed in is modern, light and with an excellent bed and an open (see trough) shower compartment, all very comfortable! We enjoyed staying just one night, we should have stayed here somewhat longer. The owners (we spoke with Angelina most of the time) are very friendly and love to tell you more about there great hobby, the breeding of Alaskan Malamuts. Amazingly beautiful dogs which will cause you no harm at all, you don’t hear them. Only if you are interested she will confront you with all the dogs in their kennel (6 at the moment) and it’s great fun to play with the dogs. There’s also a large garden with fruit trees of which you can enjoy the home made marmalade during the delicious breakfast. It is all very much worth visiting this bed and breakfast, we recommend it heartily! Wifi is good. You can park your car on the street in front of the mansion. To have some dinner you’ll need to go to Meung sur Loire, which is a nice little village.
Cons: It’s just for the recommendations to the owners: please hand over some soap and shampoo and during our stay it was very warm in the room ( there’s no airco), but opening the windows meant mosquitos et all, so installing some kind of mosquito net in front of the windows would be excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The guest room is beautifully done with a good shower, very comfortable bed and modern tv. The room is calm with a simple stylish elegance and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent and beautifully presented with fresh orange juice, crusty fresh bread and croissants/pain au chocolat, yoghurts, cereals and homemade jams. Friendly and helpful owners round off this lovely place. There is a small town a couple of kilometres from the property with a Loire chateau and a very good restaurant recommended. A charming small city. Altogether an address to keep in mind and book again!
Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully decorated and furnished, in very good clean condition. Very friendly owners and keen to please.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room. Very clean. Lovely host
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Franck and Angelina have done an amazing job of transforming this house into a home for their family and their beautiful and excellently behaved, wonderful Alaskan Malamutes. The bedroom is spotlessly clean with a fully opening double window which allows airflow through the day, and a large fan in the room keeps you cool at night. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room is tastefully decorated and presented Angelina provides a filling breakfast - so that afternoon coffee and an evening meal is all the food that we required for the rest of the day. Visits to the Chateau Chombard and the city of Blois are easily achievable from this property.
Cons: There is nothing we didn't like about this property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a beutifully renovated old house with the room done with moden design in good quality. Angelina is a very kind host with friendly five (!) malamut dogs welcomed us. The room was maybe not too big but clean and comfortable.
Cons: A bit outside but for tourists with car no problem.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The house is gorgeous and absolutely well taken care of - very clean, very warm and welcoming! It is done and decorated with a lot of style and looks awesome! The breakfast was 100% French, fresh and tasty - totally great, the hosts really outdid themselves! We really loved our stay and their beautiful dogs too!
Cons: The place is a bit difficult to find. May be an extra sign or bigger indication might be helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was SO MUCH BETTER THAN I ANTICIPATED. The room was gorgeous (pictures do not do it justice) and the family that own the property were welcoming and endearing. I could not recommend this more.
Cons: Nothing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendly welcome, Olga is charming and Francois is quite a funny and interesting character. The breakfast was superb (including eggs from his very own chickens!) as was the evening meal. The mattress was the best we slept on during all of our seven week holiday. The whole property, our bedroom included, contained many quality antiques, interesting items and collections. Truly fascinating.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Olga and Francois are fantastic hosts. We could not have been any better looked after. Large comfortable room. Francois has a very varied collection of trinkets.
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Cons: Advice to any bikers: the driveway is made up of large pebbles - you may have to 'paddle' a little - take care
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and interesting property. The owners are friendly and helpful. We had a welcome drink, interesting conversation, a relaxing nights sleep and an excellent breakfast. Hopefully we will return next year.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Francois and Olga are very welcoming and took so good care of us. It was fascinating to see the collection of ancient objects in the house and hear about their description. The dinner and breakfast were exquisite, prepared mostly with local produce and eggs from the hens in the garden !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed overnight in the studio with the 5 of us (4 adults and a 2 year old child) and it was perfect. The studio has 2 rooms with a shared bathroom, super comfortable beds and pillows, everything extremly clean and full of the charmful items from Francois's vintage collection. Olga and Francois gave us a very warm welcome. We chose to have dinner and it was amazing! Probably the hit of our holiday. Everything freshly prepared with ingredients from their own garden or from the locals: perfectly soft-boiled eggs from their chickens, each egg having a name written on it (the chicken's name ha ha), freshly aspergers with 3 sauces (the garlic one was delicious), salmon with an amazing gin sauce, cheese platter with salad and a yummy dessert with small pancakes drawn in vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Francois says he is an amateur, but the food quality and taste was top class. The breakfast, which is in the accommodation price, was a perfect start for a long driving day: croissants, banana bread, homemade vegan nutella, green tomato jam (among the classical peach and cherry jams), apple pudding, fresh fruit salad. And as it is said: we eat with our eyes first, the atmosphere was perfect for a lovely dinner and breakfast: candles, classic music, beautiful old style cutlery, fresh flowers
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Olga and Francois were wonderfully helpful hosts. We loved the ambience and amazing home-made breakfasts, especially the eggs with the hens names and date laid inscribed on them. We’ll be back as soon as we can. Viva La belle France.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting in the midst of fruit-growing region of Orleans. Great rural stay. Spacious family suite. Wonderful breakfast.
Cons: The house is full of curiosities and antiques which is great to see...but it also takes up space in the room. So, in my view, not so practical inside the rooms. The rooms could be aerated more before the arrival of guests for improved air circulation.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It is much more then just a hotel, it's a chance to immerse into the real French lifestyle and great French cuisine. Hospitality at this Chambre d'Hotes is overhelming. Nothing seems to be a burden for the hosts. Exellent food, interesting house with a museum of antic home devices on site. Kids were absolutely happy! Good bathroom, discent bedding. Shocking breakfast! As a younger guest of 12 said - "The best breakfast in my life"
Cons: You need a car to enjoy this place.

Pros: Continental breakfast was very good, including lovely fresh croissants and pastries from the local bakery. What we didn't eat was packed for us "for the journey". Hosts were helpful and attentive without being intrusive. Village looked lovely and there was a restaurant within 5 minutes walk of the property. Will certainly consider this B&B on future trips, maybe even spend an extra night to explore locally
Cons: This overnight stay on our way south made a pleasant change from autoroute hotels and there was nothing to fault it. Certainly worth the 5-6 mile drive from the motorway.

Pros: Nice very small house for 3 families max. Parking is difficult. The host is very friendly. Couldn't pay by card as the house has no terminal. Only issue is every sound is heart by all the house. So if noisy or just "different schedule" guest is there, his schedule becomes yours...

Pros: We have stayed several times and always good - breakfast is a treat!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: A chic small hotel with an attractive atmosphere, helpful staff, and very nice offerings at breakfast. The location is ideal for proximity to the train station and touring the city on foot.
Cons: The day of our arrival happened to be record-breaking heat (107F), so the lack of air conditioning was evident, but the staff knew how to keep things comfortable under the circumstances.
7.0 Good
Pros: the room was very good.
Cons: the breakfast was very poor and just one person serving and doing reception.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Nice French breakfast. Nice location.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was a choice between regular and organic food. Typically French, the bread was the best we have tasted anywhere in France or elsewhere and the choice was wide. Little touches were added to make the experience wonderful such as the honey on the tables. (Arbeille in French means 'bee' in Engish). The bedroom was comfortable and classical with period furniture all appealing to the ambiance and senses. The lounge, too, boasted antiques and, naturally, references to Joan of Arc.
Cons: The building is old and there is no lift. It is difficult to imagine where a lift could be situated so it is difficult to cater for those with disabilities. Our room was on the third floor so we only took a minimum of luggage with us but this is the only downside of the family owned hotel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was perfectly positioned just outside the old town in a quiet street with on street parking. The staff were friendly and helpful and the decor had real old-world french charm. They happily stored our bikes in the cellar over night.
Cons: The hotel has quite steep stairs and no lift which would be a problem for people with mobility issues or heavy suitcases. We had no air conditioning and it was very hot but there were fans and large windows with shutters.

7.0 Good
Pros: The nice personality of the manager. Kettle and instant coffee stick. Overall cleanliness.
Cons: The showers were complicated to use. The bed was too hard (personal taste) Too much noise late at night outside (not the hotel's fault, but the environment can get rowdy.) No staff actually in the hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful owner and amazing location, close to everything we wanted to see

Pros: Location superb, 8 min. walk to Loire, 8 min. walk to statue of Joan d'Arc & central square, 8 min. walk to train station. All in different directions! Also near tram.
Cons: Orleans is a sweet treat not far from Paris! Manager at Charles Sanglier EXTREMELY helpful & knows history!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the recently renovated Paris room. Small but well decorated. Lovely shower. Host welcoming, carrying bags up to our 2nd floor room. We purchased his breakfast delivered fresh to our room the next morning. An assortment of bread, buns, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice, jams, butter. It is a perfect location to all the sites. A 2 min walk to the trams and 10 min walk to the Gare de Orleans. Our host was very helpful with suggestions and speaks English very well.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owner was extremely friendly and accommodating and the room was very clean.
Cons: The street noise continued until 3.30 am as it seemed to be a thoroughfare. We were there on a Friday and Saturday night so probably the two busiest nights of the week. The toilet was right beside the bed and it was very small. The shower was also very small and difficult to get in and out of but my husband does have a bad leg which made it more difficult.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel in a fantastic location. The owner was very helpful and friendly.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, location is excellent. Highly recommended.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has been refurbished since we came 2 years ago and it is really nice. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast is very good quality food. We don’t eat here in the evening as we find the food and drinks are too expensive.
Cons: Service at the bar was very slow and the drinks are far too expensive for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect for children
Cons: Expensive beer at the terrace. Few snaks posibilities.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: great Pool and Decor was nice
Cons: Food in the restaurant left a lot to be desired. We also booked a double room explicitly stated to be ‘with bath’ and when we arrived discovered we only had a shower. It wouldn’t matter except we were traveling with our 9 month old who we need to bath. When I asked reception to move us.... they seemed quite irritated (apparently the hotel was full and therefore our request was difficult). I was informed next time I should explicitly state that I want my double room with bath.. to actually have a bath!! Implying that the fault lay with me. Eventually an alternative was found (substantially smaller room) which we took due to the need for a bath.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Both dinner and breakfast options were excellent good options for children too.

5.8 Okay
Pros: We had the feeling that the room has been used on the same day. We found a note for the previous clients, which hasn't been taken away.
Cons: We missed appropriate toiletries, or the ones we found were not full.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location and atmospere is great, beautiful and with history, along the Loiret. Great food in the evening, along the river, with very professional staff.
Cons: Good to know that the restaurant is closed on sunday and monday evening.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Restaurant was closed - it was Monday evening! Shame
5.5 Okay
Pros: Ok only
Cons: Hotel was closed when we arrived - we weren’t informed of this until we rang ahead. Room was very tired - lights not working, fitments hanging off the wall, headboard marked. Not really what we were expecting
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The quiet, riverside location. The food is even better!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This was a lovely little hotel in a beautiful location. The evening food was outstanding
Cons: It was very hot when we went and there was not air conditioning. We recommend the hotel providing fans in the future. If you have a river side room it is very load at night with the wild life.
7.5 Good
Pros: Food was good, though no salt on main dish.
Cons: Frogs croaking all night.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious bedroom and comfortable bed. The food on the restaurant was very good.
Cons: The rooms lack attention to detail. Our room (Room 4) had: - a socket under the table for the kettle that didn’t work - the door inside the room to the bathroom could not be closed and had to be left ajar - the door inside the room to the bedroom was so warped you had to pull it with all your strength to get it to fit into the locking mechanism - the lamp on the one side had loose wiring so when you tried to switch it on you had to carefully place the cabling so that the light stayed on - no mirror in the bedroom for a woman to do hair/makeup/etc. You very much get the impression this is a restaurant establishment that happens to have some spare rooms so are making the most of them.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel on the river, room was basic but comfortable. Food in the restaurant excellent. A little pricey on the drinks three courses with drinks €160 for two. Breakfast was pretty average. Staff were hardworking and friendly.
Cons: Nothing to really dislike other than booking.com advertised the rooms with balcony but we couldn’t see any rooms with a balcony.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, romantic villa, great food

7.5 Good
Pros: it was a good hotel all clen friendly staff nice to our dog
Cons: search engine booking had this offered with air condition which it disn‘t have. As it was very hot it made the stay for us unfortunately unpleasant, so we recommend this place only during times when it is not so hot
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location, close to city center. Parking near hotel possible in parking garage or on street, relatively inexpensive. Nice that they have family rooms.
Cons: No complaints really. Nice place for a short stay.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was great (near the markets, river and town centre) and there was plenty of parking nearby in underground car parks. Discount to the Cheval Rouge car park was provided by the hotel Check in was very easy and the room had a nice quiet inner courtyard window. Breakfast was also very nice with fresh juice and fresh breads with yoghurt.
Cons: There was no ventilation in the bathroom/toilet area - we had to leave the door open to let some air in to circulate after using the facilities. There was no airconditioning but as it was not too hot we could open the window to the courtyard and run the fan during the evening. It would have been nice to know which parking facility we could use in advance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and friendliness of staff, parking discount was a great bonus.
Cons: No air conditioning on the evening of France’s record breaking temperatures, however none was advertised and a very effective fan was provided so can’t really complain.
7.5 Good
Pros: The reception on arrival was good and informative. Changed our room when we explained we did not like the room booked without issue. Location was great and central.
Cons: Room booked initially was not acceptable to us, very small and, while not dirty, felt unclean with lots of marks and stained carpet.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Large, clean room and helpful, friendly staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Immaculately clean. Lovely staff. Gated parking.comfortable bed. 4 restaurants within walking distance. Enjoyed mussels at LEON.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: On site parking. Kitchenette suitable for cooking simple meals. Good value.
Cons: Not a huge room but that's reflected in the price. Some way out of town so you'll need a car - about a 15 min drive.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is probably one of the best places we have stayed in on our frequent travels to France. Well appointed clean and modern self catering suites similar to a "luxury student bed-sit". Not pretentiously furnished but not dog-eared either, and quite spacious with the bonus of a balcony for most rooms. (I had a 'prestige suite' but also viewed a 'superior suite'.) Wifi works fine, and you even have a DVD/CD player (in addition to the TV) to use -- but no instructions. Pleasant staff and a relaxed feel. We would happily come again. Gated car park. Just one minus - see below.
Cons: Only drawback on our stay was the VERY VERY NOISY circus/funfair in the Stadium opposite up to 2am. This is not the hotel's fault, but worth checking whether there are any events ongoing for your booked dates!
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff helpful
Cons: First room felt like a cheap motel
