Friendly staff. Perfect location. Nothing we do not like, but the comprehensive brochure explaining all of the facilities/treatments is only available in German. It would be good to have an English version of it.
Friendly, helpful staff, beautiful setting, peaceful location Hotel brochures in English would be good.
Friendly staff, good location
The beer and wine en the staff was very polite
The location is absolutely idylic There could be better facilities for the disabled, ie ramps, wider doors, etc
The breakfast was good. The jacuzzi tub in the room was nice. I also enjoyed sitting on the balcony over looking the walk-way (it did not over look the garden as stated). The hotel advertised itself as a spa, not the case. There were maybe 2 choices for free spa services, everything else had to paid for and booked in advance (this was not disclosed on the website). The suite was also advertised to be equipped with a shower, it was not a shower it was the spray nozzle in the jaccuzzi tub.
Web indicated Braodband available free of charge in betrooms, but it was not available
breakfast surroundings image noise at night in de street radio did not function too little shampoo we did not stay in the hotel but in an annex
Excellent wellness centre - more types of Sauna than you would believe existed - very good indeed. Evening meal in restaurant gave the slowest service that I have ever experienced, we ordered food at 19:50 which arrived at 21:50 during which time neighbouring tables had 3 courses and had already gone! Hotel was very apologetic and gave full refund for meal with no quibble.
as an american traveler, it was nice to see the location is not full with "tourists". very quiet and located "off the beaten path". i enjoyed it.
Service was first class and staff so well trained and so helpful, breakfast the best anywhere. The Proprietor was charming and was everywhere ensuring guest satisfaction. A family run hotel that the large groups would do well to visit amd copy nothing to complain about
The staff was superb. I've rarely stayed in a hotel where the staff was more attentive and pleasant. The staff always remembered who we were. We never had to tell them our room number. These excellent young people will always be fondly remembered by us.We were thoroughly impressed! Breakfasts were excellent with a lot of variety. The sauna and swimming facilities were very good and rank with the best in Europe. Despite requesting a valley view we were assigned a room on the (mainly pedestrian) street in the center of the Bad Bertritch village. Occasionally noisy traffic early in the morning kept us awake. In retrospect, we should have requested a change in rooms, but were tired from the journey. There is too little light in the rooms for reading. Bedside lamps are inadequate. There is no lighting in the area of the closets and clothes storage--a major oversight. This forces people to stumble around looking for clothing.
Good spa, good food My room was very noisy from the street and from the maids
Nice neghbourhood, good fitness, friendly staff, confortable room Maybe it is not on its prime.
The hospitality of the staff. The bath facilities in the leisure area Need a better lift and a gym that has a free training area. Only 2 machine rooms
Nice atmosphere and good attitude only the size of the room we stayed find too small for 5 star hotel and the blankets are too thick or not of good quality - impossible to sleep, maybe you have an alternative decision
Parking space and restaurant closed very early. It is good for eldery persons but not for mid aged ones.
The staff was fantastic. Very accomidating and helpful. Made me feel like family. Monday we checked out at 5:30 am and they provided breakfast and sandwiches for us without even asking. Very nice and thoughtful. The hotel and the city were absolutly beutiful. TV selected channels/only in German.
Very friendly staff (speak good english, also french), great breakfast, beautiful rooms, perfect surroundingseverything was better than expected nothing
The mountainous countryside was very picturesque. Driving there was the only good part of the stay at this hotel. Staff was very negative and not helpful. Front desk was not staffed so you had to find or wait for someone to help with check-in. Tried to order cocktails in afternoon and wait staff was slow and ill equipped to accommodate those guests who did not speak German, even shaking their heads and just walking away when not understanding the order - which was just white wine??
the spa in the town of bad bertrich no one speaks english
The breakfast was ok, but nothing special. (Breads, scrambled eggs, yoghurts, cereals, etc.). This hotel was dark and dismal. Rooms and hallways were very poorly lit, furnishings and furniture very old and worn, hallways cluttered with rollaway beds, cleaning supplies, etc. Not that I was expecting some luxury hotel, but this place was pretty depressing. I feel like I wasted 145 Euros staying here the one night, and was very glad to leave.
The location is fantastic. Without Booking.com I would have never known the location existed. Needs updating.
The size of the room; coffee/tea facilities in the public area on the second floor; breakfast room; cheap parking facilities. Empty minibar in the room.
The staff were very friendly. The rooms were very comfortable and well presented. Food was excellent.
A very clean and well run hotel with friendly and attentive staff. It has a good outlook over the wooded hills, it's quiet and peaceful.
Very comfotable room, good-humoured and helpful staff. Like other reviews testify: the toilet/shower is not spacious, but there is room enough to move around if you're average-sized. There was one thing, not especially about this hotel, but about restaurants in the region: they almost always serve salads with their meals. It is close to impossible to have a meal with grilled or cooked vegetables. And five days of eating lettuce and carrots did make me long for spinach, broccoli and the like.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were a mother and son and had requested two single rooms. Both rooms were quite spacious and comfortable, with lovely bathrooms. My room had a duel aspect with views over the lake and front of the hotel. The food was very good and breakfast was more than adequate. Although, there wasn't any buffet, we were served the breakfast and it was excellent, and very filling. Nothing really! A word of warning - shower can be very slippery, when wet. Use either the face cloth (flanel) provided or the bath mat to stand on while using the shower. My mother slipped and bruised her arm badly. Though this is not an excuse for not using this hotel as other hotel showers were found to be slippery. Beware! bottled water in some hotels in Germany can be quite expensive with a 0.75 ltr bottle costing €5.20, during our stay at Bertricher Hof.
Exellent cosy hotel for reasonable pris. Every thing was so good that I could think that is a 4* hotel. Comfortable, delicious, friendly.
Spacious and clean rooms and friendly staff. No complaints
The staff was very helpful and friendly and the wine was fabulous.
Nice place to stay.
Friendly and hlpful staff (family business), English spoken, and saw staff trying to help French visitors too. Excellent breakfast. Lovely little town. The Hotel is on the main square and is opposite a very good Eis Cafe (Icecream Palour/coffee shop) No obvious reception desk, not really a problem though.
Friendly staff. Nice room. Clean. Noisy on the square, in hall, next door neighbor, etc if you're a light sleeper.
very nice place to stay , would happily re vist great area to be in for walking / mountain biking etc
Accomodations were more than ok. Staff is very friendly, accurate and helpfull. Exellent location from which to explore the environment by motorbike. Very near to start of i.e. Eiffel motor routes.
It was a nice simple hotel. The name fitted the hotel perfectly. The staff was excellent and very friendly.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent quality and value for money evening meal.
Small, family run
nice people, real good beds en nothing went wrong! -
Excellent hotel staff, very friendly.
It was a charming little hotel. Our room was on the top floor and very pretty. Staff was very nice and the food (especially evening meal) was excellent value for money. Bathroom was a little small. Shower head did not work properly.
Fantastic hotel- we did not expect the hotel to be as lovely as it looked in the picture but it was actually better!!!! The town was delightful, the sound of the river across the road was soothing and our rooms looked directly over it. The sorrounding mountains all made for a perfect stay and we would love to come again soon and will definately tell our friends what a jewel this is!!!!
It was in a beautiful surrounding and the owners of the hotel very kind and a very good service. We had our 4th wedding anniversary there and they took the trouble to order a cake and even gave us a complimentary Mosel wine. We are sure to return there when we go again! It was a perfect stay for us!
Very nice clean comfortable room ( single room no. 4 )
Very cosy, attractive small hotel, nice views from room, excellent conservatory on the front for dining and drinking. Owners very friendly, can speak English.
This was a really nice small family run hotel right in the centre of town/village? With a warm welcome for us when we arrived quite tired after a days travel from the south of Germany. The rooms were spotless with nice beds. The food was very good and would definately recommend this hotel. The small Spa town was also worth a longer stay . No bad points all good.
Nice place Restaurant is closed at 21.00
