10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s a big. Beautiful old house. Our room was at the back of the house so a little dark and a little musty however a fabulous room with high ceilings and huge windows. The lady that met us was very friendly. The breakfast in the morning was fabulous I got to try their own wild boar sausages Devine, and a venison one too. It was my sons first time staying in a b&b and he wasn’t sure what to expect but he loved it and had great fun exploring the gardens
Cons: Just the little musty smell but it’s an old house so to be expected

I would definitely recommend this property and would definitely return.

I had in writing he would not charge us but did anyway, this is not the way of doing business if you ask me.

Cons: Shower facility was just ok but worked well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I made a solo visit to Grove house for 2 nights. My reason for staying is simply because I needed a little break from life. The house firstly is a beautifully kept simple but elegant country home. I was met with a big smile from Ian who showed me around all the nooks and crannies of the house! On the first night I brought my book and glass of wine into the garden room where I looked out at the rolling hills of Shanballymore. 3 blissful hours of peace I didn't see a soul all evening. I stayed in the roof top room. The bed was so comfortable I slept for 8 hours straight through. The following morning I helped myself to a wonderful breakfast spread out in the guests conservatory which is separate to the house. I then hopped in my car and visited all the wonderful sights nearby. That evening I decided to be a little braver and came out to the conservatory where other guests were chilling and enjoying a glass of wine. Jacqueline has a wonderful way of introducing guests to each other with great thought and then it's up to us after that if we wish to talk further. Jacqueline and Ian are great to check in and ask how you are but also give you plenty of space to just relax and explore. They also offer (for free) a relaxing form of meditation therapy (I didn't try it but lots of guests did who loved it) . Jacqueline also gave me a big bowl of beautiful veg curry that she had left over from her own family's dinner that night. She is very caring. I can not tell you how much I enjoyed my stay. I left Sunday morning feeling ready to face the world again! Thank you Ian and Jacqueline for your great welcome and letting me stay in your home. Trish

5.8 Okay
Pros: Staff friendly, bed was big and comfartable
Cons: Faeces all over toilet bowl, was not a pleasant sight when I walked in the ensuite. TV was crooked. Food exspensive
5.0 Okay
Pros: It’s location in the country and the quality of the food in the bar when we arrived late in the evening.
Cons: Pervasive smell of dampness in the room. Very dated furniture and room fittings. Not period as one might expect in a Georgian house but the worst of 1980’s mass produced furniture which had seen better days. The view onto a high stone wall was a particular irritant!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms, very comfortable, bathroom big with nice shower. The Breakfast was excellent, great selection and friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is set on beautiful grounds with horses in paddock, trees too numerous to mention and very well kept gardens by a gardener whom I saw working. My breakfast was tasty and supervised by a very nice lady who was most helpful. A very pleasant experience overall.

Overview Reviews
A stay at Hibernian Hotel & Leisure Centre places you in the heart of Mallow, within a 10-minute walk of The Clock House and Mallow Castle. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and a library. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The workout room.
Cons: The smelly or musty hallways. The receptionist was very cool and uninterested.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The staff were friendly
Cons: The room was very dated, unlike the pictures. The carpet was not clean, the tv was inside of a closet that you could not see on the bed. One lampshade was missing. The hairdryer was a 70s device that was attached to the wall. Bathroom was dated with cracked tiles and a shower that was unpredictable in temperature
7.0 Good
Pros: Place is right in the middle of town so really handy to explore. Room was neat and tidy with a good shower in the bathroom. The bar downstairs was a nice bonus and had some great music on the night we were there. Breakfast selection was also good.
Cons: Car park is behind the hotel and a short walk. A bit awkward but fine if its a clear day. Perhaps not the best if you are disabled or have young kids. Room was stuffy and only a small window to help get fresh air in
5.8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was delicious. Pints in the bar were lovely. Food in bar was delicious.
Cons: Pillows were hard. Bed was snug. Room was very warm.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Food was excellent, Patrick the bar man was great as was the young food waitress
Cons: Water taps in bathroom hanging off, room view, dirty grouting around shower/bath, had to flush someone else's toilet deposit when we arrived, bath water came up through the sink when draining
5.8 Okay
Pros: The food in the bar for the evening menu was excellent and the bar/restaurant staff were very friendly. The gym and pool are a great bonus to the hotel and were much appreciated at the end of a long day.
Cons: Wifi was not available for the duration of the stay. We were told that they were working on it. We were told after that some people could access it and others couldn't so therefore they decided not to grant us the password. This was all delivered in a very matter-of-fact manner that was annoying. Being a business trip, I would definitely not have chosen this hotel if we had been given prior warning - and it appeared to us that this was an issue that had been going on for some time. The rooms are separated by partition walls. We could clearly listen to a conversation being had by a couple in the next room and could hear the TV programme they were watching - as though it was in our own room. There was no possibility of a room transfer because the hotel was fully booked on the evenings in question.
7.5 Good
Pros: Centre of town
Cons: Noise from the timber floors at night time No direct access from the rear carpark
7.5 Good
Cons: Shower and bathroom could do with modernising but room clean.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room. Fabulous view.

Cons: The room
7.0 Good
Pros: Fermoy is one of Ireland's many charming former garrison towns, its slightly faded Victorian Grandeur nestled in the heart of the Blackwater Valley. It is steeped in history, as is the Grand Hotel. Formed in part from the garrison officers' mess it is right in the heart of the town, on the quays and only minutes walk from anywhere in town you might want to be. The staff were superb.
Cons: The Grand has seen better days and could do with a lick of paint here and there, but for the lonesome traveller it is perfectly comfortable and good value for money.
5.0 Okay

Cons: Smell of bleach in room
6.3 Good

Cons: Bed and pillows not comfortable. Had to run the water for awhile before it got hot.

4.2 Okay
Pros: no breakfast.
Cons: AS soon as we walked in, we saw broken furniture, stained carpet and an odor. No elevator. We had to go look in the bar to find someone to check in with?? Don't stay here if you want to sleep. The room"s are above a Pub. The drunks started rollin out at 11:30 up to 3:30 am. Hooting and hollering. Tried to call front desk, no one there. Worst night in Ireland!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff, ambience and food make this a great place. I had the best steak I have eaten in a long time. Portions are generous. Staff very friendly. Hotel Employee is a character. This hotel attracts folks from the village to gather for a pint, a bite to e
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was fabulous as was the young lady who served us
Cons: Rooms floors are weak and creaky - felt like wood could break thru.
6.7 Good
Pros: The bathroom was clean
Cons: The lower window makes a lot of noise when it is closed, so I didn't have a comfortable sleep. I could also hear the next room's conversation which went on until midnight. And another annoying neighbour knocked several times on a door at 4am. Shower was cold for several minutes into the bath, not great for an autumn morning.
