Pros: Outstanding accommodations! The owner was was charming and informative. Will definitely recommend to our family and friends
Pros: We were grateful for the warm welcome on arrival. The children loved the swimming pool and the traditional French breakfast. The owner was very hospitable and friendly, giving us lots of ideas for places to eat nearby. 5 mins away is Le Bec Hellouin which is just stunning, didn't want to leave! All wonderful!
Pros: Clean comfortable friendly homely pool to relax great homemade original food
Cons: No issues at all
Pros: Luz and Denis are excellent hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed the superb evening meal with them and the other guests, Florence and Marcel. The rooms are spotless and we left after a good breakfast. We would love to return to this area as there is plenty of local history in this rural part of Upper Normandy but we were passing through on our way to Calais and didn't leave enough time for this. Next time we will take more time!
Pros: Lovely old house - fine room with a huge bathroom. Nice pool and garden and a very friendly dog. All homemade breakfast with pancakes and delicious jams.
Cons: Hard to find something we didn't like ...
Pros: Great location, really lovely village and surrounding area. The host was very welcoming and explained in detail all the facilities and was eager for us to use the pool. The kids loved the pool after a long drive and it was chilly but plenty warm enough to enjoy! We had the extra dinner which was excellent, lots of food and all was delicious....all 4 courses! The shared dining experience was also good fun and we got chatting with another family. Good rooms, lots of space with the kids in a completely separate room.
Cons: watch out for chlorine levels in the pool.....the ends of my daughters hair turned a green colour and so did inside of costumes! Was OK but something to watch. The meal time was quite rigid with places to sit being dictated......I can see why, to ensure the families mixed and chatted but some might not welcome this.
Pros: Beautiful surroundings. The home-cooked, locally sourced dinner was amazing. The whole family love it.
Cons: Caution for small children on the staircase bit then I guess for a very old house what do you expect?
Pros: Lovely hosts. Beautiful surroundings with lots to do (Honfleur, Le Bec-Hellouin,Château du Champ de Bataille etc). Perfect to be able to take a dip in the pool and relax in the garden after a busy day. We recommend to eat Luz's nice dinner if you have the chance.
Pros: A very clean, comfortable place to stay, with very helpful hosts (Pascal & Lucy who are also very good cooks!)
Cons: No UK tv, but you don't go to watch tv so this is a moot point.
Pros: The food and The hospitality.
Located in Brionne, Le Logis de Brionne is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Bec-Hellouin Abbey and Chateau du Champ de Bataille. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and an elevator. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We liked everything about this hotel. Good location close to motorways. Lovely room. Spotless clean. Fabulous dinner. Charming and friendly service from Joelle the owner.
Cons: Only a very small thing - the wifi dropped in and out which was a bit annoying!
Pros: Room was good, food exceptional, friendliness and helpfulness of staff
Cons: Front entrance was not step free and stepfree entrance was not obvious. Shower tray was not nonslip
Pros: Arrived on time but Hotel closed due to the excessive heat. However the manager showed us where to park and opened the bar for a very welcome drink. We were then showed to our room which was rather large and a very good bathroom. The manager was very helpful and the dinner was very good . We avoided the €90 per person menu.
Cons: Hotel was located on a very busy roundabout and with all windows open, the traffic noise was disturbing. Otherwise, the hotel was adequate for our overnight stay.
Pros: Easily accessible from the motorway. Warm welcome, excellent room, restaurant excellent. Breakfast home made croissants, yogurt and local meats and cheeses
Pros: Very nice room and bathroom
Cons: You need to book for the restaurant in advance , it is written in the booking.com but I did not read it so I missed I think a nice dinner and the other restaurants in the village are not great
Pros: A most comfortable and beautifully furnished room. Superb food with excellent friendly service, but slightly expensive in comparison to our experience of similar restaurants elsewhere in France.
Cons: No additional comments
Pros: Room, shower. Restaurant excellent. Near Michelin star. Staff great
Cons: All good
Pros: Comfortable room. Helpful staff. Lovely food (very lovely food). Stayed over until Sunday and had chance to visit the Sunday market - very pretty centre to the town and well worth the visit.
Pros: The property and owners were very welcoming. Well appointed for an old building. Lots of original features. We had 2 dogs and that was easy also. The hotel food was exceptional although a bit expensive for a family of 5
Pros: Very friendly staff providing good service. Excellent cooking with breads and patisserie made on site. Really can't fault it!
Cons: Tout était très bien!
When you stay at Logis Hôtel La Corne d'Abondance in Grand Bourgtheroulde, you'll be 14 minutes by car from Rouen Expo Park. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: Hole in pillowcase. Bathroom was overlooked by window in house opposite. No other residents staying! Too noisy outside to open the windows. Upset tummy the following day after eating in hotel restaurant. We were the only people eating in there, even though it was also open to the public.
Pros: Really friendly and a great large double floored space for our family to stay in, cot for baby and bedding supplied.
Cons: There was a lot of noise in the evening when we all went to bed until about 3am. Prob because Bastille day next day and football but still very noisy with cars and bikes. Great supper and staff very nice - might just be the timing that was against us
Pros: Outstanding welcome and excellent food
Cons: Nothing. Everything was great.
Pros: Very helpful and friendly owners Very dark room for sleeping
Cons: Poor view from room.
Pros: Our room was convenient. Christmas decorations are everywhere. Tiny chairs in breakfast room and breakfast was basic!
Cons: little choice at dinner and my chicken was tasteless. Unbelievable decor!!!
Pros: Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Secure car park and space to sort/clean cycling kit.
Cons: Road noise might bother some
When you stay at Auberge de l'Abbaye in Le Bec-Hellouin, you'll be 3 minutes by foot from Bec-Hellouin Abbey. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
Pros: Very thoughtful staff
Pros: Lovely Auberge in a beautiful village. Restaurant expensive but good food and a lovely waitress.
Pros: A hotel with character in a beautiful village. Our room was newly decorated, but in keeping with the hotel character and perfectly comfortable. The hotel is right in the centre of the small village, but a peaceful location. Definitely worth visiting Bec Abbey, the grounds and buildings are stunning and I was lucky to catch Vespers at 5pm on a Sunday evening, sung by the Benedictine monks, joined by about 20 nuns from Lisieux, a wonderful experience.
Pros: Quaint hotel in a beautiful Normandy village. It is very old and quirky and access to bedrooms is by narrow windy stairs but atmospheric as is the village. Staff were pleasant.
Cons: Dinner was disappointing- with some strange combinations on the plate. Veal which was delicious was served with fresh broad beans (also delicious) in a razor clam shell with cashew nuts! Breakfast was very over priced at €12.50. We have paid this amount in other hotels but have enjoyed beautifully home made and prepared food which merited the cost.
Pros: Most everything.
Cons: Did not think the dinner in the restaurant was very good.
Pros: Bed firm so good for us
Cons: Nothing really except paintwork a bit “tired” here and there
Pros: Location very good, but breakfast poor -
Cons: Better variety of fresh fruit for breakfast. Coffee acrid. only long life milk.
Pros: Beautiful & special place – we only booked as an overnight stay as travelling further south but it ended up as one of the highlights of our holiday Hosts are delightful and food wonderful – it was an unexpected and marvellous experience.
Cons: The house and facilities are somewhat 'quirky' - but that suits it - there; is nothing not to like !
Pros: Excellent location and food. Really friendly staff.
Pros: This location is fantastic and the village well worth a visit! Our room and double bed was a little small but all in all very good!
Cons: Room and bed were a little small
