Pros: Lovely room with all you need for great stay, very filling breakfast with some wonderful home cooked items.
Pros: Great room, superb location. Fascinating village. Easy for the WW1 battlefield sites for us in the car.
Pros: Very hospitable host and the homemade breakfast was delicious, above and beyond our expectations.
Pros: A very helpful, friendly host (who put up with my pidgin French), a pool which is unusual for a small place, and a very nice restaurant close by. Our host made the restaurant reservation several days ahead, which was good as it was a Saturday night and the restaurant outdoor eating area was packed. Great breakfast of fresh, local and homemade produce.
Cons: Not a big issue, but something UK travelers should be aware of. This place only takes cash and requires an advance deposit. If you do this by international transfer there will probably be a charge from your bank (Ours would have charged close to £10) We got around it by calling in a week in advance on the outbound journey to Germany and paying cash, but if you can't do that then you need to allow for this in the price. HOWEVER, even with this charge the place is still very good value for money.
Pros: Very handy location for Dunkerque arrivals and departures, and for visits to Flanders area. Excellent breakfast with local farm produce and home made items - eggs, fresh fruit, waffles, etc. Comfortable room and modern bathroom.
Pros: The breakfast was delicious - all homemade including jam, yogurt etc
Cons: Took a long time to find it as out in the country. A better description would help
Pros: Friendly owner and the probably the best breakfast we've had in France with local produce. The room was spacious enough for the family with toddler
Cons: Payment was applied incorrectly ( not as per booking confirmation) which was rather disappointing as this was one of the key reasons we chose to stay in this place. We didn't speak the same language so didn't try to argue
Pros: Newly decorated room. Superbly modern bathroom fittings. An efficient heating system in room bedroom and bathroom - it was cold outside! For breakfast we were offered a number of delicious homemade items. The owner was hospitable and helpful.
Cons: Perhaps two normal size pillows rather than a bolster and a pillow. However, a very minor point.
Located in Godewaersvelde, Monts et Merveilles is within a 10-minute drive of Mont des Cats Abbey and Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and a library.
Pros: The host was friendly and helpful. The facilities were perfect.

Pros: The host was fantastic really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nearly all home made of locally sourced. It was home from home excellent.
Pros: The oldie worldly feeling back in time with the furniture , a beautiful garden and a hot tub to die for and Virginie’s kindness and helpfulness. The local food prepared for breakfast by Virginie.
Cons: Every thing was ok
Pros: Friendly and helpful. The kids loved the jacuzzi! Fantastic breakfast:-) Beautiful old house.
Cons: The village is quiet - esp. on Mondays and Tuesdays when the local restaurant is closed.
Pros: The location was excellent for visiting First World War Sites. The rooms and the breakfast were both fantastic. There was a superb restaurant within 200 metres of the property. Our host was charming, helpful and very hospitable.
Pros: Good meet good intro excelsnt hot tub great breakfast
Pros: The host was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. She worked really hard to have a big, welcoming house, well decorated. Lovely fresh breakfast, with some delicious local produce. Home-made jams and home-made yoghurts.
Pros: Personable, knowledgeable host who was kind enough to unlock my bike and store it in the garage. Large, comfortable room. Great breakfast, too. A lovely experience overall.
Pros: We were welcomed by the very friendly owner. Room was very beautifull and clean. It was realy hot when we visited but the owner placed a mobile fan in the room. Breakfast consisted of local products. Neighbourhood was quiet but their wasn't much to do nearby. We saw a hedgehog and some cats in the garden, realy cute to watch. Had a realy relaxed trip!
Located in Merris, Le Relais de la Dentelle is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Saint Eloi Church and Public Garden. Featured amenities include luggage storage, microwave in a common area, and refrigerator in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Was very impressed with the facilities. Plenty of crockery and a well equipped kitchen are if you wanted to feed yourself in an evening.
Cons: There was nothing that I didn't like. Except the time short time we had there.
Pros: Breakfast all locally sourced produce. Friendly hosts.
Pros: cleanliness ... environment ... breakfast all homemade .... perfect.
Cons: Everything is perfect..
Pros: The accommodation was exceptional offering extremely well equipped kitchen, dining and sitting area with tv and games, The en suite bedroom was comfortable for a one night stop en route to Dunkirque. The hosts offered a friendly welcome, speaking english and there was an exceptional breakfast.
Cons: Small issue of no window opening in the room however there is a ventilation system.
Pros: Beautifully presented, very clean. Friendly owners. Breakfast all homemade bread, cake and jams. Some may find this limited as no cereals were on offer.
Cons: The bedrooms are small and in a converted cowshed and have a separate communal seating area/ kitchen. The occupants of the other 2 rooms already there and taken over the communal area . Made it feel like a flatshare where you did not know the other occupants. Property is outside the village and quite isolated. Owner hovered whilst we were having breakfast which is in main house and was a little off putting. Bed felt small as only 4ft 6 ins whereas we are used to king size.
Pros: The location was lovely and peaceful. Regarding the breakfast, the food was beautifully presented.
Cons: The breakfast was designed for a very specialist taste - home made bread, mixed fruit jams, cake with cranberries and specialist cheeses. From our point of view we would have preferred a selection of breads/croissants as the bread wasn't to our taste; neither was the other food. The coffee and juice were delicious.
Located in Bailleul, Hôtel Fleur de Lys - Bailleul is within a 15-minute drive of Mont des Cats Abbey and Saint Eloi Church. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Good accommodation quirky in style, good basic breakfast, staff very helpful. We have stayed here many times it suits our needs, right besides Le Clerk Super Market , Cheval Blanc Restaurant is very good and only a short distance from the accommodation.
Cons: Nothing, happy with accommodation it suits our needs.
Pros: The room /bed very comfortable
Cons: No kettle in room. Unable to make a drink after the breckfast over. No shower hook or curtain
Pros: Classic little motel, I liked and would stay again
Cons: Nothing to dislike, it served its purpose
Pros: All good, have stayed there many times.
Cons: The room we were allocated was all ready occupied! We had an issue with the bed in the second room the leg fell off. The young lady who was in charge got us sorted out into another room, all was good in the end problems happen.
Pros: Big bed, easy to find and park, excellent continental breakfast. All perfectly adequate, nothing special just perfectly adequate.
Cons: Please, please, please put a kettle, some mugs and some tea/coffee facilities in the room, then it would be a very good little hotel. Maybe a few flowers in the garden!
Pros: There were only 3rooms booked in the whole hotel so we felt alone
Cons: Unhelpful and very unfriendly staff. Hotel is located near the highway so it's very loud. It's nearly impossible to sleep and beds are not comfy at all
Cons: Room was unclean, food wrappers, rubbish and dirty towel under bed, cobwebs and dirt behind all furniture, massive spider in the bed. Security was non existent, room doors left open with keys inside except key wasn’t inside our room so had to barricade door to make sure no one could get in, especially when 3 men were trying to climb over the gate to get into complex! No staff on site during day/evening, only the cleaner who was also the breakfast chef and receptionist there first thing in the morning. Took money off credit card without my permission before we checked out, turns out they actually took money on day we arrived, so much for credit card only used to confirm booking and pay at hotel on checkout!

Pros: The owners where welcoming and sweet, they made you feel like you were a know friend to them that is back on holiday. The facility itself was perfect, from the wood finishes to the high room beam. They went the extra mile with creating a home away from home for travelers and wow did they succeed. The breakfast the next morning, which was included, was the cherry on top, home made breads and jams, wood fire in the background. It was like something you always see in magazines and at such a great price.
Pros: Very up top date facilities
Pros: Bed large and extremely comfortable, shower and bathroom fabulously clean with everything you need. Separate toilet again spotlessly clean. Bedroom large and beautifully decorated. Breakfast with fresh bread and croissants, homemade jams. Honey, cheese and butter all locally produced. Homemade fresh fruit cocktail delicious. Location very quiet and surroundings beautiful. Restaurant and bar 750 metres, other restaurants about 25 mins walk. Take torch as no street lights. Stephane couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. Poperinge railway station 20 mins drive. Rail ticket prices extremely good value
Cons: Nothing it was perfect
Pros: Warm welcome by the owners Beautiful house and surroundings
Cons: Rooms not so soundproof; but our fellow guest were very attentive
Pros: A very well run and stylish guest house. Lovely area, great for walking and biking. Convenient for Lille and Ypres.
Pros: The welcome was unsurpassed - the owners couldn't have been more pleasant and we felt instantly at home. They even phoned a local restaurant for us and booked us a local estaminet where we had an excellent meal. Breakfast was amazing - local produce, cheese, home made jams, fresh bread, croissants, fruit salad and a log fire burning on a relatively cool morning. Lovely neighbourhood and very relaxing ambience. We loved it and fully intend to come back.
Cons: Only negative is that it is not easy to walk to the local eating places if you want to eat out for an evening meal. That would not put us off though!
Pros: Prachtigz locatie, wonderful spot close to the Abbey - wonderful panorama and wildlife to spot. Top comfortable rooms, outstanding breakfast. Simplement magnifique!
