Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
Pros: Beds were very comfortable. All the waiting staff was impeccable and delightful. Food and service at Kanusan restaurant were great. Beach and Crab Shack really nice.
Cons: Reception/concierge staff not really up to the task. They made a mistake on both our connecting flights, which resulted in us waiting in Male for 5 hours. The Snorkelling trip was very low standard, and it was thankfully refunded. Aquatic sports were only available in a small restricted area. Marine life was not amazing and the reef quite bleached. Complimentary yoga was only on offer 3 consecutive days of the week so we missed it. Bahha Grill restaurant was below standard both for food and service. Nadia the manager even got to question my taste in food! Disgraceful.
Pros: grade up our room to the ocean pool villa.
Cons: not so good about cooperation of staffs. No busses for a long time, more than 30 minutes!
Pros: Amazing food and drinks
Pros: Friendly staff, pool , food , perfect beaches Full moon party at the fish and crab shack FABULOUS!
Cons: Nothing !!!
Featuring free WiFi and a barbecue, 3 Hearts offers pet-friendly accommodation in Fulhadhoo, 25 km from Baa Atoll. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. The rooms come with a private bathroom. A flat-screen TV is offered. There is a 24-hour front desk and gift shop at the property. Guests can enjoy various activities in the surroundings, including snorkelling, windsurfing and fishing. The guest house also offers free use of bicycles.
Pros: There is nothing good in this hotel because they are simply haraam and they have stolen any guest and they exploit their location. They are an island far from the city and there is no police on the island. They steal, loot and insult the guest with disrespect. I advise everyone not to go to this hotel forever.
Cons: The owner of the hotel and his wife run the hotel and they are the worst people on the whole island because they are haraam and nuns and scammers and do not have an atom of morality or respect.
Pros: The island is beautiful with long sandy beaches on one side – good living coral reefs with lots of fish, rays, even turtles etc. on the other – and nice jungle in the middle. Simbe the owner and his wife Elvira (from KZ) arranged transfer from and to Male and organized pleasant birthday surprises. Local staff conducting excursions is friendly (thank you for the present!). Chef Roman (from KZ) is a nice and professional guy. We stayed in the standard room. The room is bright and of comfortable size. The air conditioner was good, the bed big and comfy, the bathroom and towels ok. The room is cleaned everyday and towels are changed regularly. All common places (tables, etc.) are cleaned several times a day, and the guesthouse puts effort in maintaining beaches in good condition. We highly appreciated the drinking water given everyday (1.5 liters). The room (with tasty breakfast included) is good value for money.
Cons: Minor comments/suggestions not reducing overall positive impression. 1) To reach the island from Male you have to take two boats in series: public (40$ per person) + local from the guesthouse. Keep in mind that public speedboat is not available on Fridays – and the local boat doesn’t have a roof to hide from sea splashes or rain. 2) Mind that the water in the bathroom is salty! 3) Our _double_ room for some reason had only _one_ chair and no shelf to put the suitcase on. 4) The most inconvenient – the dryer ropes are hung right under a hole in the bathroom ceiling, which means you are not able to dry your things if it rains. We had to get up several nights to save out staff from rain! There is also not much space to dry things that can’t be hung (like snorkeling masks). When we asked the owners, they didn’t allow us to bring an extra chair inside and suggested we put our staff to dry outside in common places, which still wouldn’t solve the rain problem (and in general is rather uncomfortable). 5) WiFi: you can connect only two devices per room. We don’t know whether it is the problem of the island or of the guesthouse, but the Internet was very, very slow (during the day) and sometimes even absent (in the evening). Only in the early morning you can freely send emails or read news. 6) The island is small so there are not many places to eat in and the choice of cooking ingredients is very limited, but it is not the problem of guesthouse. There are two options for a meal in 3 Hearts: to order a "set" (different for each day of the week), or dishes from menu. However, based on our experience, prices are a little bit high compared to prices for a dinner on some other Maldivian islands. 7) During snorkeling mind the morays, they may suddenly pop out!
Pros: The food was great, and staff most helpful. I loved my stay here.
Pros: It was wonderful island. Very calm and beautiful. Guest hous is small, in a best place of island. All staff was kind and friendly. The choice of food is not large, but always fresh and tasty. If you catche fish, they will bake it for you if you want. The guest hous can offer a lot of fun - fishing, octopus hunting, snorkeling with Manta, dolphin safari... If you want to dive, it is a diving center on the island as well. It is a small village and long beach you can reach through the jungle. Pay attention it is wet climate. Wet clothes is very hard to dry. Perfect vacation. Thanks to Elvyra, Manu and all others I havet asked the name :).
Cons: A few recommendations for a guest haus. Even if the room was tidy daily, there should be a broom in each room. Freestanding / portable dryer would allow to hang up wet clothes. It would be good to have a shampoo in the bathroom.
Pros: The owners were lovely . Simbe met us at Guidhoo and transferred us to his boat to take us the rest of the way to Fulladhoo. We were were welcomed with a frangipani necklace, which again was so thoughtful . Then we were taken to the guest house where we meet Elvira and she gave us a cold drink and explained the rules of the Island ( as it is a private island not a resort) . The meals were quite large do you ate never hungry . There is a special beach where we can swim and lots of other spots around the island. The room were very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Just the water in the shower was really only a very small stream but this may have to do with the island water supply. You can still shower it just takes a little longer .
Pros: The room is cosy and spacious. Hotel facilities are well decorated.
Cons: The bathroom smelt really bad. The staff was quite unpolite, we travelled with our daugther (18 months) and she needs time to have dinner, they wanted us to go to our room to finish her dinner, even it was only 8pm!
Pros: Simbe and his wife Elvira were gracious hosts. Looked after all our needs and made us feel at home. The staff were great as well tending to our needs. Fishing was a fantastic experience.
Pros: Thank you for wonderful Time in Fulhadhoo. Everything was Perfect. Staff makes Our Dreams come True. The most beatiful place in the World.
Pros: Very helpful staff, friendly hosts! Free snorkeling gear. Hosts are actively participating in cleaning the public beach.
Pros: Amazing staff, location and rooms. The area is very peaceful and the beach is for sure one of the most beautiful ones you will every see. Most times there are very little people on the beach so it feels like you rented your own private island. The owners of the guesthouse are very friendly and made us feel at home. We loved everything!!
With a stay at Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu in Dhunikolhu, you'll be by the ocean and close to Thulhaadho Harbor. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge at scheduled times.
Pros: Very beautiful hotel and location, very friendly and helpful staff, very good cuisine, an amazing stay for honeymoon We had water villa, wonderful view on other islands and on the lagoon with fish
Cons: It is not possible to get more than 2 complimentary bottles of water in room even with all inclusive package. We were obliged to go to the bar to drink a glass of water despite having paid for all inclusive package. The hotel pays attention to environment protection (less plastic). I will suggest to pay also more attention to the carbon foot print. For instance, on menu, were evian or San Pellegrino waters, Australian beef, etc. Such products imported from far countries are not absolutely needed. I will encourage the hotel to substitute by regional products as much as possible.
Pros: 1- food was good and tasty and also several choices of food 2- helpful, supportive and friendly staff especially kareem 3- clean beach
Cons: 1- in the beach villa the bathroom is outside the villa which is not comfortable 2- the toilet doesn't have a shower beside it for cleaning. However when we asked them to provide they have provided us with it and thanks to them for that especially Kareem who was very kind and helpful 3- at night there is no enough lights for walking which seems scary to some people 4- there is no gulf cars that transfer you from the villa to the restaurant which was a bit far from our villa 5- it is difficult to swim in the sea because there is no wave breakers as the sea was not stable 6- it is a bit far from the airport in male in which you need a seaplane which was a nice experience but tiring at the same time. 30 min far by seaplane
Pros: Best hospitality Best place for a hide away vacation Amazing and super friendly staff Stunning rooms Absolutely loveable experience
Cons: Nothing everything was absolutely superb , the staff are very kind to all the guests, super friendly and make u feel home :D We loved this place.
Pros: Lovely resort, great good, fantastic accommodation. Blissful.
Cons: My wife didn't like the fruit bats but I thought they were great!!!
Pros: quite ,and very nice stuff,.
Cons: a lot of geico in the bathroom and the shower to
Pros: I like the services provided by employees especially Zain and Shaiju
You'll be on the beach with a stay at Tropical Village in Fehendhoo. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
Pros: - the staff was amazing, doing everything in their power to make our vacation perfect; - the room was spacious and the outdoor bath made it look unique and tropical; - the bikini beach on the other end of the island is amazing, resembling to a huge swimming pool; - the guesthouse has its own private beach for the guests (palm trees on the beach and sun beds) - the daily trips were really fun (we recommend Boudhafushi, swimming with manta, fishing & sandbank) - the room was cleaned every single day and bed linings were changed every few days; - they can provide the airport tickets transfer for you on request; - the island is very peaceful and most of the times we had the beach all to ourselves;
Pros: Such a beautiful getaway. I am more then pleased with everything. Hope to come back some day.
Pros: Staff is very good.
Cons: The island's beach is not good
Pros: They were waiting when i arrived at the island. They have lei and golf car. Nice staff. Welcoming drink. Little bit worn out room but still nice. Big. Terrace. Water hose at the terrace. Outdoor toilet and shower, little bit hot. Fridge, tea, water maker, two water jugs per day. Bath ropes. Mini bar. Safety. Nice restaurant. Okey breakfast and food. Coffee and tea would be nice at the breakfast. It didnt served at the first day but then next day they asked if you like coffee or tea. Bikini beach nearby. There were one electricy power cut. Nice place to stay
Pros: Beautiful small island with several great beaches and crystal clear water. If you're looking for a quiet island hidden away from tourists, this is the place to go! The village is home to about 100 locals and has 1 shop and 1 hotel. At the top end of the island, you'll find a beautiful bikini beach after walking through the jungle for 20 mins. The beach outside the hotel is just as nice though, and is even better for snorkelling. The excursions to the lagoons and uninhabited island were world class (I'll never forget swimming alongside all those turtles!!). Service at the hotel was excellent - all the staff are extremely helpful and will go out of their way to help you. The rooms are very clean and spacious and the bed is comfortable. Overall, fantastic value for money and a real secluded paradise experience. I had a really wonderful stay... now I'm in Male and I really miss tropical (paradise) village!!
Cons: The food was pretty basic and overpriced. Would have liked to have more fresh fruit and fresh fish (the ocean is on your doorstep after all!!).
Pros: Extremely friendly staff going an extra mile to please the guests. Nicely designed spacious rooms. Very close to the beach and reasonably priced excursions.
Cons: No in-room internet. Food choice is not too big, too much chicken and no fish taking into account sea location
Pros: The private (hotel-owned) beach right next to the hotel was perfect. It got high tide in the evening so it's better to visit there in the morning or afternoon. You can walk around the island in 20-30 mins. Only 90 people living in the island Fuhendhoo.
Cons: Initially went with only breakfast option but it turned out that I need to go full-board anyway as we didn't have any restaurant available on the island. Just keep it in mind when making reservation ;)
Pros: Island is beautiful but a bit dirty.
Cons: The manager there, Shary will try to con you with the trips. Because they will not tell you everything about the prices for the trips we had an argument and on leaving he even threatened to not take us back to Male after we paid.
Pros: If you're looking for luxury, there are plenty of (overpriced) resorts in the Maldives. Tropical Village is not a resort — is a home away from home, in an absolute paradise! The rooms are very clean and the bed is enormous. We spent 6 nights on the island and we had a wonderful time. There is a lot of activities to chose from — we, for instances, went on a turtle trip, had half a day on an uninhabited island and we also went on the catamaran to see the mantas (that unfortunately we missed, but we've heard they gave quite a show on the day before!). The staff, from the manager to the boat crew, without exception (and also the guys from the Diving Center, which has its own excursions) is amazing, always with a smile and always available for anything we might need! We made dear friends there, and we wouldn't trade this experience for any fancy impersonal resort. We loved it :)
Cons: There is some space for improvements — the wifi only works in the reception, but this actually creates a nice environment with everyone gathering in the common places. There isn't much variety of food, so if you don't like spicy food ... you don't have many options. Also, there is a lot of construction at the moment, but honestly, that didn't bother us at all. Finally, and the worst part is that the island has a lot of trash (that comes with the tides), so we wished we had some place where we could collect the garbage we picked.
Pros: Locals working at Tropical Village were all very friendly and helpful. Rooms were lovely & exactly as per the website, cleaned & tidied daily. Shower water quite salty & basin water slightly less so. Fridge was perfect with kettle, tea, creamer, sugar available (take powder milk) - coffee sometimes. 1l of bottled water/room/ day (we bought 1.5l daily too: 1$). Take adapter for plugs, although 2 USB chargers in wall plugs! Bikini beach at end of island (2km walk) was absolutely beautiful. The sea is incredible - 30 degrees celsius - we swam over 5hrs every day, as the temp outside is stiflingly hot - you have to either be in the water or under the aircon! Snorkelling was fantastic, with the best snorkelling off the litter-covered little island swimming distance from the jetty where the boats come in - saw eagle rays, tons of fish varieties, enormous eels, many new corals coming up & water is azure - 'spent hours there every day! Wear fins as you swim out against the tide - tiring if you don't swim well & watch out for boats! You have to wear shorts & t-shirt there as it is not a bikini beach (take leggings for long snorkel trips & long-sleeved swimtops, otherwise you will get badly sunburned). Dining area was nice - as per website - buffet for meals although there is an a la carte menu. At breakfast: lovely little roshi - mini rotis made by a local lady - superb and nice coffee for breakfast - thank you Muneer, for knowing exactly how we took our morning tea & coffee! Curry for supper most days - luckily I love curry! Did a lovely sea turtle snorkel trip with the resort (motor boat) & took a trip to 'deserted island' - beautiful sea & nice snorkelling - guesthouse staff were patient, helpful & friendly. Took an enjoyable trip on a catamaran with the Aqua Blu water sports center on island, which was very informative - saw a lot more corals than on previous trip to Maldives.
Cons: Ferries are limited & it takes 2+ hours to the island - 55US$ one way and it is a rough ride! There is tons of litter & building rubble - very disheartening to see: huge pile almost toppling into the water off the island as you arrive at the jetty, in the jungle & all along the path to the beautiful bikini beach at the end of the island. Except at bikini beaches, all the plastic bottles and rubbish that wash in with the tide, seem to be left where they lie. We saw 1 bin for trash. The island has very humble houses and dwellings & there are a number of abandoned & rundown buildings. If you don't like curry, the alternative was pasta: often just with oil and garlic. When more small children arrived, there was roast and BBQ chicken. Chicken curries were tasty, the fish curry full of bones & the veg curry big chunks of carrots & potato! Salad was always shredded cabbage & onion, sometimes with tinned tuna. We never saw any of the meals pictured on the website & most things weren't available on the a la carte. Some desserts were good. The buffet breakfasts were basic - 2 cereals, boiled, fried or scrambled eggs and either tinned tuna/ tinned sausages/ beef bacon, toast, sometimes baked beans, and a fruit. Coffee & tea included. Dinner/ lunch drinks are expensive & everything gets 'taxes' added, excursions as well. There is no other worthwhile restaurant on the island. Tiny shop with basics. The wi-fi only worked at reception, which has 4 seats. It's hit & miss: sometimes it's great, other times not. It's important to remember that there is NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED ON THE ISLAND - it is a muslim island & community. For this reason too, women may only be in bathing costumes on the designated bikini beaches - otherwise they must wear shorts/skirt & a t-shirt.
With a stay at Azoush Tourist Guesthouse in Fulhadhoo, you'll be on the beach and within the region of Thulhaadho Beach and Thulhaadho Harbor. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
Pros: The meals are simple but tasty, according to the price. Great staff will do everything to make your stay very enjoyable. The beach is beautiful, the picnic island is phenomenally wonderful.
Cons: There is no small fridge in the room, it would be much better.
Cons: Staff was nice but not really organicized. When you wanted to pay they didnt know the price or there were no staff when you needed. Food was okey at the breakfast. At the room there is bed, cupboard, Ac, tv, toilet and shower. There is no safety, no water maker or fridge. No soap or any toiletries. No hand towels. Only one bath towel. No reading light. No terrace or balcony. Also Ac had to reboot every day. Would be cleaned better. Little bit shabby sheets and killed flies at wall. No daily room cleaning. Mosque nearby so you will hear noise. No bikini beach nearby. Excursion rates were really high. Ex. Snorkelling trip 100$. In fehendhoo and goidhoo it was 10 and 20 $. Would be nicer if they invest more at the rooms.
Pros: Very friendly, helpful and nice staff. Contrary to some earlier opinions a lot of good food which suited us (excellent fish, vegetables and fruits every day) and our children - when asekd the menu has been changed (upgrade to pancakes :). Good value for money. When there was a problem with our bathroom it was solved immediatly!
Cons: The noise of the air-condition and the nearby mosque. The noise from the building site though it is temporary.
Pros: Staff really friendly and customer oriented , good dishes thanks to the ability of the chef Local people are like a big family, are used to help each other Bikini beach is great, white sands and turquoise sea
Cons: Caring of common spaces could be improved
Pros: Perfect staff, Good dinner
Cons: Some kind of food (mixed pasta and vegetable or souce?), Suggestions: 1. Refrigerator in room is needed. 2. Soap in bathroom. 3. Service for delivery food from Male (Burger King or KFC for example). Two days wait is ok. 4. Make true French fries!
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was very nice. Good value for money
Cons: Everything was fine
Pros: The beaches are beautiful and empty, calm location, only few tourists were there, lot of fish in the sea and good conditions for diving or fishing. Everything was perfect.
Cons: Meal is very tasty but every day is quite the same. A lot of garbage on the island
Pros: The island is not from this world, the beach and the water are incredibly beautiful! Very friendly people, especially the guy in the kitchen.
Cons: It's only possible to eat in the guesthouses, no restaurants on the island. . Currys on the menu are always without rice or chapatti. If you want rice to your curry it will cost around 12 dollar?! Why? Didn't understand that. Trips a bit too expensive.
Pros: Great island, but unfortunately soon overrun by tourism. Now, it was still great. Good place to stay. Very friendly people. Good food (we had all inclusive). Best option in the island for non-Russians.
Cons: Beware of russians in the buffet because there is quite limited amount of food prepared (still enough for normal people). As everybody else can share politely, they take as much as they can without thinking others. Same thing with russians regarding beach chairs, and unfortunately most of the tourists here are russians.
You'll be on the beach with a stay at Olive Goidhoo in Goidhoo. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and a 24-hour front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: I booked this trip for my family. Their review: It is a marvellous place - the climate is mild, the water is clean and the sun is caressing. The hotel is new and there are a few tourists there as this is the only hotel on the island and you will see maximum 8 tourists during the day. The food is ok and corresponds to the standard of a guesthouse. The staff is very serviceable, they organized a wonderful new year party with a cake and crab race. It was very cute.
Pros: Loved the staff, they are always around to assist (not very common in local guesthouse s ) Very accomodating. The rooms were huge and spacious. All the services provided was great. Will stay again definitely.
Pros: Beautiful property, rooms are tastefully decorated, beds are extremely comfortable. Staff very friendly and always happy to help. Location is great and has access to its own stretch of beach. Roof terrace is a great spot for sunset. Communication throughout was excellent. Jordy and his team will make everything possible to ensure you have a wonderful stay. To put it simply, this place is a gem.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect.
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful; both before and during the trip. Especially Jordy, the owner was super accommodating the entire trip. The room was clean, spacious and the view was excellent (sea view rooms, facing the sunset). The meals made-to-order & served buffet style was consistently good throughout. Wide choice of excursions. Loved the island itself - almost complete seclusion; lots of trees (farms & jungle areas alike!) and a real "island-feel".
Cons: Not the hotel; but Goidhoo itself didn't have the beeeeeest beach for swimming (too much seaweed). However extremely nice and secluded (completely private!) sandbank is just a short boat ride away. As is two other islands close by with equally nice beaches.
Pros: Was new
Cons: The cleaning of bathroom was no good at all. The shower screen was not well cleaning at the WC neither.

Pros: Small four room guest house, very personal feeling, very friendly staff, excellent dinners prepared only for us.
Cons: Unfortunately a somewhat smelly bathroom.
When you stay at Alvi Star Inn in Thulhaadho, you'll be near the beach and minutes from Thulhaadho Harbor and Thulhaadho Beach. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk.
