It´s a Brand New or re-decorated hotel, design, cleanliness, everything related the building was fantastic. Staff was great. Recommended 100%. Breakfast buffet like a 5* hotel. No
The location was ideal for me the staff were very friendly and the room was clean and modern with good bathroom facilities I could not find fault with the hotel
Close to Tram and railways station, Zoo. Cleany Some noise between the room
location convinient, quiet also it's on the main-train-station, very friendly staff, good connection to all busines and shopping locations Entance looks a bit to cool
Very clean, very close to railway station, breakfast was excellent although quite expensive. Reception was very slow, and sometimes unmanned, no acknowledgement when queuing. Pillows were awkward - one was insufficient, two were too much. Also no extra pillows available in room, and locating one extra each for us seemed to be a little much for the receptionist.
The staff was friendly. The place of the hotel is great. Easy to reach the city center and the train station. There is only one problem that I face in Ibis hotels. Please change the pillows. They are not ergonomic. Every morning I have pain in my neck.
We booked the hotel as a stop off for us en-route to Austria (driving). We were very impressed with the cleanliness, wonderful staff and excellent breakfast. In addition the secure parking was a real bonus. No
The hotel is conveniently located for those traveling by train. The rooms are rationally, nicely equipped and very well insulated (noise of the many tramways). Excellent breakfast. Reception staff not very well formed for this job, and asking for advance payment is neither courteous nor efficient, because extra charges are to be payed anyway at the end of the stay.
Good clen and modern hotel fine for business purposes, dont' let the railway location put you off. attitude of receptionist as someone else charged something to my room and when I pointed itout to the receptionist her attitude was poor aboutthe situation.
Overall impression was good. The last day of our 3-day stay there was no Interned connection in the whole hotel. It was not corrected the next day as well - in my opinion it is not acceptable for a hotel in this localization.
I liked the profesional treatment and the spirit of the hotel. The stuff was very helpfull in all the subjects!
they have an elevator, rooms are cozy internet is turned off from 2 am till 6 am
Excellent balance price/quality; everything which one needed was there; good location near railway station; quiet and well-organized
Close to central station (2 stops) and city centre (3-4 stops), tram stop 5-10 minutes walk, friendly staff, quiet location, reasonable prices, near swimming and spa facilities. Small room (although I believe large are available), washbasin and shower in room (toilet ensuite but separate), walls not very thick (although no noisy neighbours).
Location is good. Price is good...
quite close to Bahnhof old and small; needs renovation
Price is great.
Close transport links (tram service) Central city location Quiet area Value for money None
The staff who know >English is not enough, sometimes, it was hard to communicate. But, even in that condition they tried to help.
The room key opened the front door when we arrived back late at night. Nothing. Eggenstein is a very small town outside of Karlsruhe, and we were delighted to obtain such good accommodations there.
The Personal were very kind.
The McDonalds nearby Smell of smoke in the lobby and downstairs hallways; the fact that the light in our corridor (we were at the end of a corridor) and the staircases had to be switched on every time.
Noise from the McDonalds drive inn just under my room.
I am besically satisfied with everyting at my stay. Nothing special but if I may say, it was slightly difficult to find the entrance from the main street (McDonald sign only). However, it is not a big deal.
Easy access from highway
There is nothing to commend the hotel. You should remove it from your listings. No shower. No aircon. No room service. No facilities. No hot water. Appalling breakfast.
It was the right hotel for a one night stay. Not suitable for more than one night
Staff very helpful and friendly, room clean and comfortable, value for money excellent. Great pillows. WiFi in rooms should be free.
Friendly staff no washer/dryers on site or in town
hotel presentation (photos) on booking.com is misleading
Neighborhood were silent and calm, room and hotel were clean pay tv is not enough blocked - it's easy to push the button on tv pilot and it costs 15Euro not depend on time you watch, capacity of free parking for hotel guests was not enought - only 6 place for over 200 rooms...
Internet for nothing and nearly is the tram and xou can drive in down town of Karlsruhe
friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, easy to reach from highway, great breakfast, clean, nice "bier garten"
Very friendly staff
The place is spacy and cosy. Breakfast. A lot of things, but not very good quality.
Typical clean but basic German hotel. Flexibility about late arrival time was appreciated by this business traveller.
Convenient for our personal use, although, not quite in town. It suited our purpose as we have a car. It is close to the train line and very, very noisy at night when the trains go past the hotel.
Very cosy, friendly atmosphere, excellent breakfast position
Convenient with good price and nice size room with free water bottle poor shower
restaurant food was good
The hotel is located slightly outside the centre of Karlsruhe, but there is a bus stop outside the hotel and the bus goes into town regularly and takes 19 minutes. It is outside of the "green sticker" zone, so no need to get one unless you drive into the centre of Karlsruhe. The hotel has what looks like a popular bar (it was closed the night we stayed there) with a large beer garden. There are lovely walks around - you can walk to the centre of town in about 40 mins - and there are many playgrounds and beergardens along the walks.
On our arrival at 10.30PM they had already given away our reservation (2 rooms). We were asked to choose another hotel. They lied in our face about reservation conditions. After 5min discussion they finally allowed us to check-in. Nice way to start our stay...
Customer Service Pillows
Friendly service and flexible. The desert was great, food good but rather too salty. While I understand they were renovating it, the tidiness was less acceptable.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were excellent.
My room was comfortable and the bathroom was large by European standards. It was very clean. The breakfast buffet was great, the staff helpful and the free internet in the restaurant was a nice touch. The kitsch decorations and alpine theme were fun! Although a few tram stops out of town (but right near a tram station), this hotel was a good base for exploring Karlsruhe and the surrounding area. The credit card machine was broken so all guests had to pay cash. Hopefully they have fixed that now. Also, there is no air conditioning, only heating and fans.
Everthing was fine Nothing really, no English spoken of course.
I found the reception staff helpful. They spoke good English and were happy to be flexible to accomodate my needs. It was further from the station than I expected (a six minute walk, with luggage on a hot day, or one tram stop and a two minute walk)..
the quality of the room is quite fair seeing the price paid The comfort of some room may be lower than some persons expectations, but it was well enough for me
Large rooms, underground parking friendliness of staff
The staff was very nice and gave us a warm welcome. Especially in the morning the service was very good. The best way to start the day. I missed the fresh fruit and a bit more variety in the morning. However the nice service and very good price/value ratio made up for it.
The triple room set up was supurb
Breakfast, selection, ambiance & service.
Close access to and from highway. Inexpensive parking garage available. Staff deserves to work someplace better. Noisy (busy intersection outside), hotel in need of renovation, not very clean generally, urine stench in bathroom was unacceptable.
The woman at the reception had terrible manners. She woke me up in the middle of the night to tell me that I need to pay for one more person in the room. I told her OK I'll do it in the morning, But NO she said "Right now!". So I've been to a lot of hotels but never woken up in the middle of the night by a bad mannered angry woman.
Well run Hotel, Rooms quite large, parking 4 Euro per night No tea/coffee facility in room
Friendly , immaculately clean , good comfortable room , excellent breakfast , good location near station
The carpet in the room was very wet, it seemed that the previous occupant let the water out from the shower and it went out into the room, it was saturated for meters around the bathroom door and because of this the room had a nasty smell.
Nice and friendly staff. Good facilities
American style breakfast-scrambled eggs, sauage(links+paddies), bacon, outdoor sitting area No washcloth to use in the shower
It was a very well designed and comfortable hotel. The free internet was very useful. Moreover, I have not had such breakfast before. Thank you. The hotel is a little far from the city center but you can reach there in 5 min. by a public bus.
Excellent italian restaurant 5 mins walk Building works woke us at 7.20am
I did pay 260€ for one night in the smalest single room I have ever seen (and I travel every week for diferent places in the world). Too expensive; low quality.
The Hotel Aviva is extremely new and clean. The design is very modern and open with many windows and 'hip' lamps, chairs and other furnishings. The bathroom is large and clean. The breakfast, which is included, is incredible, with anything you'd like including bacon and eggs, cereal, yogurt, etc etc. During a particularly hot spell here, we asked the staff for a fan (ventilator), which they didn't have, but they promptly went out and bought many fans. The wlan/wifi is free and easy-to- use. All around excellent hotel.
The staff was very friendly. The hotel was modern and groovy. The breakfast buffet was hands-down the best ever. Loved the gummy bears around the lobby. The extra bed in our room was not that comfortable, but this was to be expected.
value for money, good location
the room was vey clean and modern, equiped with all the facilities you need. breakfast was good and staff was very friendly. modern and clean hotel room 203 is too close to the reception and bar and there is no wall or hall door in between, so we had a lot of noise and little sleep. there were not enough parking spaces.
The room was a very good size, covered parking was handy and the location was excellent. Room was a bit spartan. Needed tea and coffee facilities, a fridge and air-conditioning. The bathroom needed a extraction fan to take away any smells and reduce the temperature.
The room was fairly clean. Internet access and breakfast were rather expensive
The proximity to the city centre. The room was dirty and very old furnished.
I liked the central location very much. The Hotel is close to the Train station, the Zoo a Park and the Congress Center. I had a single room, but even then the bed could have been a little bigger!
Nice garden, quiet location, close to park, zoo and train station There was no full English Breakfast available, i.e. bacon, beans, mushrooms etc
Perfect behavior of the staff, good position of the hotel in Karlsruhe.
Breakfast was good The rooms smelt very smokey
Of all the hotels I stay in the Eden is my favourite, especially in summer when breakfast is in the garden! Rooms are very comfortable and clean and the hotel is well positioned for the staion, city centre, beer garden with excellent food just round the corner and it's very quiet! As the advertising says a real oasis in the city. 100% recommended. That I did not have time to stay longer!
We only stayed overnight, but we found the hotel comfortable, pleasant, and close enough to the Bahnhof since we had an early morning train
Very convenient for station.
location, price, staff courteous and helpful Reception was only open for a few hours a day and parking was very limited
Staff were cooperative and flexible with check out time. Breakfast was pleasant. Room was comfortable and in very good condition
The Personall of the Hotel were very kind. Below of the Hotel, there is Bar Restaurant that can be very loud for the Hotel rooms
Very good breakfast - beautifully presented!
Almost anything and I'd like to reccomend for those who like modern style and comfort. The parking fee could be free.
hotel staff location shops tram system and how close to the major road network but in a small town / free up grade to a better room on arrival. football is always on TV in the main bar, hard to get a table in the bar as its always so busy
Cool design, beautiful hotel. Loved the automatic blinds. I am American and wanted a hardboiled egg, not soft. That is all.
High standard of cleanliness and inspiring design. More light in bathroom, was a little dark.
Very nice, polite and helpful service, great breakfast, very clean and quiet :) Brewery is in the house was really great! no, everything was perfect!
Wonderful room, wonderful breakfast, friendly staff from housekeeping to the front desk (who all speak English!) - I've stayed there 5 times and can't wait to go back!
very pleasant staff and agood hotel
This hotel was very nice the resturant had great food the beer was good. The room was very nice and modern and clean. The staff was very helpful ,we liked that the hotel has a garage underground. Everything you need is right there at this hotel rest, food, and drinks.
The breakfast was excellent and the price was reasonable. It was easy to find and we enjoyed not having to pay for parking It was very warm in the room on the August day that we were there and the hotel did not have air conditioning,
I stayed in apartment: the room is massive, it is quiet, the breakfast is good The furniture is cheap and the carpet needs updating (very much warned out). The cookery utensils are cheap, knives and forks have a slight rust. Still, for the price paid this is a very good value hotel
Nice staff; Good breakfast; Free parking; Free internet Internet was slow; Strnage, there was not cold water (only hot)
It was a good size room . I particularly liked the condition of the décor and I found that it was very clean. I also thought that buffet breakfast was good value
Rooms that are on bottom floor that faced the parking lot in the rear.. The bushes could be cleared and the small patios could be cleaned up.The one room was like being in a cave..Also rooms are in need of new carpeting.Staff was real friendly and helpful.
A nice clean hotel good breakfeast easy to find and good value for the prices of the rooms.
The stuff was very very nice, the hotel is close to the plaza and to the train station. great value for the money! nothing
The room was clean. Free parking is almost impossible in the neighborhood, but you can get private parking for 7 euros a night. Otherwise Achat is miles away in quality than Etap hotels.
Relatively large room. Good breakfast buffet. Nice personnel
Quiet place, beautiful center of the town, clean and well equipped room, not expensive.
Car parking available under cover. Convenient restaurant next door
nice and comfortable room, free underground parking, restoration right in hotel yard, free WiFI in the lobby, very close to city center. The Bretten is small but very interesting old German city. I'd like to advice the hotel for any kind of trip - business or tourist.
excellent location, very close to the old town. Good breakfast in a very pleasant setting
Great Location, on the Park convention to Market Place & Train Station.
Great business hotel very close to the congress center, fabulous breakfast (19 eur pp), quiet spacious rooms, 10 minute walk to city center, close to a large park. Expensive Wi-Fi (didn't use it).
near city center..modern rooms...they have good holiday rate internet is expensive
Very helpful and attentive staff, great food & comfortable, immaculately clean rooms. Perfect location if you are going to concert at Stadhalle, which is just next door. Recommended!
It was close to the Theater It was too warm in the room, there may have been something wrong with the A/C.
Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Room was very comfortable. Excellent location. No
It is a great hotel. It is very modern and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and efficient. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
I felt like I was in a safe environment and it was within walking distance to shopping and sites
This hotel was a great place to stay during our short trip to Karlsruhe. The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious. The staff was also very helpful, and spoke excellent English.
The breakfast was really great
The outside of the hotel looks very nice and has a nice pool. The room had a broken shower, toilet seat and damp showing on the walls. The breakfast was very poor and the cereal was out of date. The restaurant staff on my only visit were not well mannered. The room had a broken shower and cracked toilet seat and damp showing on the walls. The breakfast was very poor and the cereal was out of date. The restaurant staff on my only visit were not well mannered.
A wonderful botique hotel with good food and excellent facilities. The room was well decorated and clean. Staff could not have been more accomodating. We had no complaints. It was in the outer edge of the city but next to a train connection.
Hotel Restaurant food and drink is good and economical. Car parking entrance is too narrow.
Although explicitly asked for a baby kot (in the booking and later again by telephone), there was none in the room when we arrived at 0.30h, and no more staff present. The owner was polite the next morning but did not apologize, and made us pay the full price. A (small, symbolic) reduction would have been appropriate.
Very friendly people helping. There is a good restaurant and bar. There was no internet connection on the room. Rooms are quite simple.
Clean, tidy and helpful staff.
Very welcoming staff who made us feel at home. Rooms nicely furnished with satisfactory en-suite facilities.
Great hospitality! Although there was a language difference, the hosts made every effort to converse and make our stay enjoyable No
Nice big clean room Nothing
Good bedroom, modern, well equipped, decent size. Helpful, friendly staff. Good breakfast in spacious dining room. We did not eat at the Hotel but receptionist happily recommended an excellent restaurant a short walk from the Hotel.
The Hotel Rio is conveniently located for visiting the city center and for visiting other surrounding places (20 minutes from BadenBaden and 30 minutes from Heildelberg). We stayed in the new building and our room big, comfortable and clean. The bathroom was fantastic with a massive walking-in shower. the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Every morning we enjoyed a delicious and abundant breakfast. Good price for parking the car,
The room is large and clean. Specially, the dinner in the restaurant was very delicious!
Friendly and efficient staff, nice atmosphere at the hotel, dinner in the restaurant was delicious and breakfast also good
its close proximity to the tram network. Easy to walk into the city centre. Close to place of work
Cleanliness of the room, design of the bathroom I would not rate this as a four star hotel. The lobby looks very dated, there are hardly any additional services (e.g. no pool, no fitness, hotel bar closes at midnight), and if you're there in summer prepare for a hot and steaming night. Both the main hotel and the dependence opposite the street are very hot and do not feature airconditioning.
Close to Karlsruhe town center. Smell of cigarette smoke (room was above hotel entrance where the smoking guests gather around the installed ashtray).
Fantastic personel - always smiling, always helpful, great breakfast, great location! Nothing to complain!
