Excellent value. Plenty of overground and underground secure parking. Spacious. Just a little far out of town.
Excellent buffet breakfast WiFi free but only in Lobby; Queues at reception at peak times
Reasonable rate for a good size room, including breakfast. Some difficulty in booking an extra bed which was sorted in the end.
The tranquility, free parking, easy access from the road
Poor acoustic isolation between floors. Shower heads too low, not ajustable, shower/bathtub switch didn't work properly.
The staff on the desk were helpful 4* more like 2.5*
Easy access from freeway
Friendliness of staff was not very consistent: some were good, some not so good. Room did not have much furniture, although there was more than enogh room.
Good location, close to exit of IP 4. Lot´s of parking options. Clean hotel, friendly staff. Nothing to report.
The staff was really helpful when I call to advise that I would do a late check in.
location room was not clean at all (genital hair in bath room, etc), heavily overpriced for the equipment, not worth 3 stars.
The location and price. And if you are a smoker, (which I am not) it has smoking rooms!
The ice bucket the staff loaned us The wifi was only free in the public bar, except when it connected in the room, for free..?? But you could also pay 5 euros an hour for the privilege. Total confusion! Be very careful how you access this service.
well signposted, easy to find. Staff speak English and French. convenient for the national park.
Good services good location We thought 15 euros was far to expensive for a dog
we were travelling through Portugal to Spain. It was a good value, no nonsense hotel. There was a plastic type mattress protector which made the bed less comfortable but otherwise all ok
Excellent staff, basic services but excellent value for this type hotel
Clean and professional Poor hotel menu
Great value for money. Other than that, it' s average.
easily located, secure car parking. restaurant poorly staffed and limited menu.
The basic knowledge of English
This must be one of the best (if not the best) hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff were very helpful, friendly and very nice people. Very good value for money. It was a real pleasure to stay there.
First, the sympathy that you are greeted. Secondly you are surprised with a small hotel in a new building. The hotel room (Standart double) had: bar, plasma TV (or was LCD?), an efficient and silent A/C, desk and chair, a cocktail table and a bathroom with bathtub and its shower, one lavatory with mirror and magnifier mirror, and toilette. All with modern fixtures. No bidet though. Everything is modern, clean and very pleasant to the eye including a wall in stone. Two restaurants at 20 and 30 meters. and the location is a quiet one. No noise. The price was very reasonable, 80 Euros for 2 nights. The breakfast (self service) was good with all the usual in a hotel in Europe with a good variety of cold sausages including presciutto, cheeses. No.
Very warm welcome at reception, excellent accommodation, good breakfast. None
The quality of service was at the high level. Very familiar reception. A little bit cold tee (water for tee not enough hot). I suppose that this drink is not so popular in Portugal and it is a consequence.
The hotel is beautifully situated and all the rooms have a great view of the citadel. I like the little balconies with chairs where you can sit and admire the view. They make a large fire in the bar/sitting room which is great when you sit downstairs but the smoke wafts through the whole of the hotel and into the bedrooms, even at night. I constantly felt as if something was on fire and I didn´t like breathing smoke at night. Besides, all my clothes smelled of smoke.
Rooms are large. The view on the Citadel is magnificent.
Peaceful location on a small hill with a wonderful view of the castle, cosy atmosphere, good beds, clean. The dated (but not worn) interior was part of the charm. The slight smell of smoke from the lounge fire place spread to the corridors.
Beautifull view. Nice rooms. No
True to form for Potuguese Pousadas, comfortable and good location.
Wonderful view, excellent service, able to walk everywhere, food in restaurant also very good. After registration, I was walked to my room, shown the facilities, had everything explained. The room looked directly at the castle. The restaurant had an great menu and wonderful wine selections, all at a good price. I have lived in Portugal for over a year, so I have a good understanding of prices, food and wine. When I had to leave early in the morning, they opened the restaurant for me ahead of the normal hours and had a taxi waiting for me. Exellent.
Beautiful and comfortable
fine look upon the town of Braganca from our balcony and free acces to internet information there should bee a little information about coming from the pousada down to town. It was not as difficult as it seemed to
Convenient to historic castle
Modern, extremely well kept and reasonably priced hotel
Spotlessly clean, very helpful Staff & a short walk to the Old City Centre. The Hotel`s 2 stars do not do it justice - we found it far superior to some of the 4 star Hotels in which we stayed on the same tour. Highly recomended !!
The excellent, friendly and helpful staff, the food in the restaurant, the amenities of the hotel (free wi-fi, Cable TV with a good choice of channels), free limited parking outside. The poor sound isolation...could hear very clearly at times, people walking and talking in the corridor.
The hotel has an excellent location in the central part of Bragança. The staff and the owner are extremely helpful and very nice people. It was a real pleasure to stay there. Also, it has excellent internet connection. Very good value for money. If I had to return to Bragança in the future I would definitely consider staying at the same hotel. I would have liked to have the option to use the same towels during my stay. It is unfortunate that they were replaced every day, because I really believe that doing so is unnecessary. This is just a minor issue, but worthwhile thinking about it.
Nice rural atmosphere Simple breakfast with a lot of flies - Not so spacious room - Swimming pool only at driving distance [3 minutes] and on day one not in use
The food was great! Our room was modern, interesting and the shared area with kitchin was a really good idea.
nice area and modern cosy rooms the staff does not speak english nor any foreign language which creates communication issues
Staff (Cristina) excellent .. very helpful. Pool and sunning area clean and quiet ... ideal With gym and sauna to keep fit, lovely room to relax in ... a wonderful break! Some dinner dishes were a little over priced (but the octupus was excellent!) Swimming caps???
The food was reallly good. The decor and ambience good. The rooms were cleaned too late in the day
Everything, its an amazing place, its located in a safe area, local people are so friendly and welcoming, the all place is spotless, we were treated like family and we were looked after, there is so much to do there, amazing swiming pool, jacuzzi were you ca have nice music on, a really nice gym, and plenty of parking spaces, beautiful view, there is also many activities, the lady who showed us...
Getting to the hotel on a narrow road is an adventure. It is located far out in a tiny valey in the middle of nowhere. There is not even a mobile phone network available. The perfect place to find some peace and quiet in an otherwise busy world. The hotel combines the athmosphere of a bed and breakfast place with the comfort of an at least 3-star hotel (outside swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, gym). We spent the night in the "amoreira" room. It was small and the onsuite bathroom only had only a shower. Since we stayed only one night, it was okay. Bottomline, it´s a hotel that surprised us in a positiv way.
