Pros: Fantastic Stay
9.6 Excellent
Pros: What did we like? Ok. The location, the sea view, the size of the room, the comfort of the bed, the quality of the toiletries, the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff...... I think you get the message.
Cons: The only complaint would be a lack of water pressure, which took away the benefits of the monsoon shower head. But that was a small price to pay for the overall experience at this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The free transportation to and from the airport. The complimentary toiletries were great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location ideal as handy for both St. Aubins and St. Helier. Also right by bus stops which can be an advantage especially if the weather is a problem! All round excellent stay.
Cons: Don't think anything could have been improved upon - everything was excellent and staff couldn't have been more obliging.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was lovely! The staff were very helpful and the bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. There is a beautiful outlook on to the beach, and a nice pool (which would be nice in summer). Would definitely recommend
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel in an excellent location. Room 15 had a lovely view of the bay and was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and shower lovely and powerful. Room facilities were top notch but my only very small criticism would be the lack of channels available in room as had Sky downstairs in the TV lounge but not in room. We were out and about all the time so this did not impact on us. Staff were very friendly and and tentative. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had at a hotel.
Cons: Lack of Sky channels in room.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel Atlantic and the staff were excellent! I wanted to escape London for my birthday with my partner. The area was beautiful and quiet. Great connections to St Helier and the airport. The surrounding area is stunning and only 20 mins beautiful walk to Corbriere lighthouse. The hotel exceeded our expectations and felt a home away from home. Great size hotel, very personal. The food at the Ocean restaurant was excellent. All the staff looked after us really well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room with comfortable bed.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the Cafe Firefly breakfast and the Thai food was superb. Location next to lemurs was a lovely experience and the red squirrels added to the enjoyment.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The glamping experience in terms of facilities was great and if you are there primarily for the Zoo it really adds to the experience.
Cons: Surprised at check no contact made In terms of interest in our stay or taking initiative to see if we needed anything. And while we were a little late checking out it was more about the cleaners needed access, and they were not very Customer friendly. No one asked how our stay was nor checked into to see how it was going. Staff were Helpful when asking but found the finish a little flat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Glamping at the Durrell Wildlife Camp was truly amazing! The pod was perfect and the safe were all so nice and inviting. We are planning our return trip for next year already. This has been a truly amazing experience and I urge everyone to do it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cons: nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful weekend at the Zoo. Everything was spotlessly clean and pods were well equipped complete with egg cups. It’s an amazing conservation zoo where the animals have lovely enclosures with lots of greenery and waterfalls. Children loved it. Already planning to return next year
Cons: The internet rooter was taken in the night and there was suggested that we could have moved it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A literary mecca for Durrell book fans. Astonishingly comfortable glamping. International visitors should not miss this hidden accommodation gem. Super fluffy beds, proper private showers and toilets and your very own kitchen. What’s more, beautiful birdsong and small wildlife throughout the day. What better place to read (or re-read) Durrell’s books! Friday and Saturday nights you can takeout Thai and Pizza and eat under the stars on your private tent deck with a bottle of wine. Have you ever had thai curry while watching lemurs come and go? Incomparable! The zoo’s restaurants serve fancy hot entrees (several notches above most zoos - see photo) so they are a reliable daily meal option. Particularly like the fact that the “tourist” dollars spent here benefits not a corporate hotel chain, but the wildlife center and its conservation projects.
Cons: Nothing! It will probably never please people who dislike outdoor camping and its small inconveniences (fluctuating temperature, wildlife sounds) but they wouldn’t get glamping anyway! Check weather and prepare accordingly because you are under a tent with no climate control (there is a lovely wood fired stove).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We left wishing we had stayed for much longer. We had no idea what to expect when we booked but any expectations we could have had were totally exceeded. We had a sleeping pod plus separate are with kitchen and bathroom. There was decking with table & chairs plus lingers. Our pod backed onto the trees that the lemurs use to sunbathe in the morning so got some great photos. Enough equipment to enable you to cook. Probably the only thing I'd recommend adding is hairdryer- particularly for those of us that don't need it for other accommodation. Seriously wish we'd booked in for longer as we were so chilled out Recommend staying for a Wednesday or Sunday evening as they offer dusk tours with keeper after hours which was fascinating
Cons: Shower taps are a bit stiff - that's how hard you need to look for a negative
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A first go at ‘glamping’! A great setting, waking up to the sound of the animals in the mornings. Really happy to be supporting so many conservation projects which couldn’t take place in the wild. Combining the stay with experiences with the keeper team plus the twilight walk through the site when the public had gone gave that extra touch. All of the staff are clearly passionate about the animals they care for. The accommodation staff are equally enthusiastic and welcoming.

Pros: Fabulous location on the beach. Very friendly staff. Clean. Good food and bar. Looked to have excellent facilities, large outdoor and indoor pool, Spain, gym but didn't get an opportunity to use them.
Cons: Room although spacious and clean only had a ceiling fan and was warm without heating on! Probably much worse in the summer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: St Brelades Bay Hotel is in the most beautiful location. The hotel is welcoming and feels really cosy to return to after a very wet & windy day out! 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect. The food and service were brilliant. Ideal base for coming 'home' to. The castle was a fantastic backdrop to a stunning setting!
Cons: Nothing that could be faulted.
6.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was very good, but it would have been improved by offering fresh fruit rather than tinned. The dinner was excellent, but I was surprised to find that that dinner was not provided on Mondays. Really hot water.
Cons: The carpets and general decor were a little 'tired', especially in the bedroom. There was a strong scent of tobacco in the bedroom (room 11). I would have welcomed an alarm clock.

Pros: Breakfast fantastic, huge choice and delicious. Staff so friendly and helpful. Location superb. Ideal for beach, town and some attractions. Thoroughly enjoyable stay even though it was for work. Stayed about 11 years ago, again for work and some fabulous upgrading has been carried out.
Cons: N/A
6.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Room was far too small
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, spa facilities, staff.
7.0 Good
Pros: Bed was very comfy, water, tea and coffee stocks were replenished in the room. Bar and lounge areas were cosy. Breakfast excellent and staff were very friendly.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and attentive staff. Comfy beds and well serviced rooms. Lovely position. Spa/leisure facilities pleasant. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: I really enjoyed my stay and feel loathe to comment here, but 2 things I feel were not up to the general excellent standard of the hotel. Both concern atmosphere. The hotel lacks a warm and relaxing bar area. I do appreciate that in the summer the terrace may help here. The champagne lounge is comfy and the staff attentive but somehow is unnecessarily formal. Not suggesting you need a juke box or anything but maybe a self serving area where customers could order drinks and sit in a convivial area. For the beer drinkers perhaps at least one draught beer could be included. I am a great champagne drinker but was totally uninspired to drink in the champagne bar. Some weekly promotions might encourage customers to explore different champagnes/cocktails etc The same issue applies to Victorias restaurant. Again the clinically efficient atmosphere didn’t inspire us to eat there a second night or to try the more up market restaurant. The food was ok but not outstanding which was disappointing but the main criticism was the atmosphere. We ate out in several other restaurants in St Helier when we would have eaten in the hotel’s restaurants if the atmosphere was better. As an aside, the cost of wine in the hotel is ridiculously expensive. For example a bottle of wine much enjoyed by us at Mark Jordan at the beach was £10 more a bottle at the Grand. Good wine is something I don’t skimp on but I don’t like being fleeced!!!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Rooms completed to a high standard. My initial room was on a main corridor and a bit noisy so I asked for another room after night 1, and the staff couldn’t have been better - all dealt with quickly and with zero fuss. Little niggles will occur from time to time and I think what marks a hotel out is how they deal with them. Top marks! Breakfast also brilliant.
Cons: Can’t really fault a thing.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The staff are lovely & friendly
Cons: The floor was creaking, the beds were uncomfortable, the beds were not made up when we arrived as we requested twin

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice Location fantastic sea view...nice Staff very friedly. Great fish and chips meal...excellent breakfast service. Will come back for sure. BEST REGARDS Holger
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good choice breakfast, easy quick access, lovely view. Lunch with friends was fine in the bar. Comfortable ambiance. Service friendly. Evening snack good. Asked for a particular programme on the TV and was given remote - perfect!
Cons: Décor a bit tired and my room had a tiny, difficult to move in bathroom, inland view but I did not expect too much as I had a good offer and paid as single. The actual bed and furniture, kettle etc was all as expected. That room would not have suited a romantic deal and was a bit small for a couple. Tried a coffee on the outside balcony (in front of bar) but although sheltered and well placed I was disappointed as the wooden handrail bar along the top blocked most of the stunning view when sitting down. Try it out! Maybe there is a solution...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely phenomenal staff from start to finish. Friendly, personable and nothing was too much. It made our stay! Beautiful rooms, comfortable beds - best sleep I've had in ages, powerful showers, fantastic breakfast and a balcony overlooking the beach which is perfect for a sit outside to blow off the cobwebs this time of year.
Cons: Nothing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding... Richard and Ida were perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was exceptional, beautiful and clean. The continental breakfast fresh and delicious and the location wonderful 10/10 I would highly recommend this place xx thankyou
6.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast (you have to prepare yourself, is put in the fridge), there is plenty of everything. The prepared fruit plate is really a treat. A nice kitchen. Mostly quiet at night. Clean. Parking on the other side of the road. Bus stop nearby. Trinity Arms restaurant (>20 minute difficult walk) is very good.
Cons: There was not much to do in the neighbourhood, seems a bit dull. Everything is a steep walk away, you need the bus. Cold side of the Island. No pub near, you can't really sit outside. Furniture in the room felt rickety and uncomfortable. I didn't sleep well in the bed, way to small (length and width). The smallest bed of all the hotels I've been. The shower was just bad, not warm enough and not enough pressure and cold after 3 minutes. You have to do the dishes yourself every day (only 2 pieces of each cutlery). Not value for money.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good breakfast, friendly staff, need a car as rather off the beaten track...sadly we arrived a day late, due to the cancellation of the ferry from Poole to Jersey, so still had to pay for 7 nts although we were only there for 6 nts. Not the owners fault of course....but not ours either...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location for scenery but few local facilities
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, Very helpfull hosts, Bus stop just round corner. Peaceful!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the breakfasts were excellent the room was clean and comfortable easy access to coastal footpaths and not far from the sea
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Our studio was spacious, immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. It is set in a peaceful location just a short walk away from the beach and clifftop walks and the bus stop. (Be aware that the bus only runs once every two hours, but we found it to be reliable).
Cons: It was difficult finding someone to take our payment on leaving. No-one was available the night before we left, so we had to pay first thing in the morning, which wasn't appreciated by the owner. However, this wouldn't put me off recommending the venue to others.

Cons: air con either too hot or cold.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast and staff
Cons: Leaving!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I have just returned from L'Horizon hotel after a short break with my 3 Sisters. We had a wonderful time the staff couldn't have been friendlier, the hotel was spotlessly clean. We requested adjoining rooms which we had, and a room with a coastal view. Amazing. Can't rate it highly enough. We will be back, hopefully in March. :)
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Carol food and staff was good
4.0 Okay
Pros: Restaurant staff fantastic, one young female receptionist helpful and friendly (she was the exception)
Cons: Reception closed for building work, it would have been good to be told as I was bringing my mother who is disabled (can walk but was expected to be dropped on the road), no one helped us in and we were met by an older female receptionist who was one of the rudest people I have encountered in a hotel. The cheeky chappy porter stood and watched us struggle with our bags, our room wasn’t ready (we were early) and it took repeated queries before (after the check in time) we eventually got two of our three rooms. The bar is dark and dhingy and the main restaurant charges Michelin star prices for very average food (luckily there is a good restaurants within 300m and a pizza express for a snack) The rude staff meant we started our holiday badly and was unnecessary... add that my room was cold, and despite request to be near the lift (for mum) we were put at the far end of the building
6.3 Good
Pros: I am a local person and decided to stay at the L’Horizon Hotel for three days as a bit of a treat to myself. I had heard good things about the hotel. Upon arrival I was allocated a room and made my way to the first floor, which turned out to be a disabled room (no problems) I went to the loo and discovered faecal matter already present in the toilet bowl. Laying on the bed and relaxing, I drifted off only to be suddenly awoken by the loud noise of a water tank refilling. I phoned reception and informed them and they arranged for me to change rooms. Unfortunately the new room was located next to a stairwell where a strong draft had found its way through the door Jamb of my room causing the door to bang loudly on its hinges. I was then moved again at 5am and was provided with a sea view room which was entirely adequate. I did notice that room service trays are left in the hall ways and are not collected promptly which is unsightly. The breakfast was good and the staff attentive. Overall with it being off-season I wonder if standards had slipped a little. I enjoyed my stay but was in generality disappointed with the whole experience.

7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good with a wide choice available, dinner was very nice and of a high standard. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. The views from the hotel across the bay were wonderful.
Cons: The hotel, in my opinion, would benefit from some refurbishment, particular in the hallways and staircases. The bathroom in the room, whilst kept very clean was rather small and a little dated.

Pros: The views from our balcony room were overlooking the sea, the hotel was in a quite location which we found very relaxing. Our room was clean and the beds very comfortable, although the pillows were lumpy, I was glad I took my own! The food served was delicious and varied daily, breakfast was extensive and good....... try the Warm Chocolate Fondant from the A la carte menue...mmmm lovely.

Pros: Back again and really love this place. The staff are fantastic and look after you completely. Food is wonderful and the afternoon tea is exceptional.
Cons: The staff, character and location
7.5 Good
Pros: The area was quiet and scenic. The harbour had a small sandy beach. The hotel owns the Rozel pub. We ate there and the food was very good. The hotel menu was quite limited and was not very accommodating for my fussy husband. Limited choice with three starters, mains and desserts. Breakfast was excellent. We walked along the coast path to Bouley Bay which was very satisfying and as there was no direct bus route back, walked back along the roads. We got a bus into St Helier and went to Gorey for dinner one evening. The hotel is also one stop away from Jersey Zoo which is well worth a visit. We stayed in room 2 which had a lovely balcony.
Cons: Unaccomodating restaurant. Limited restaurant/retail opportunity in the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and style of hotel
Cons: Public areas could be cleaner. Dead flies on window sill at breakfast. Also lots in ceiling blinds. White banisters from top floor need cleaning. Although paintwork is worn in places they are still grubby. Diss appointed gardens no longer kept as described in hotel literature. Was looking forward to a walk around the 8 acre grounds.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel and staff have been brilliant as we had to stay longer than expected owing to ferry cancellations. They managed to give us a special room rate for the extra 2 nights, incl breakfast. Well looked after by Katia and Sonia.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was excellent and the staff were very professional. The rooms in the Chateau were beautiful.
Cons: A room safe would have been an added benefit.
7.1 Good
Pros: Room was lovely. Breakfast good.
Cons: The list of rules in the welcome pack! Slightly over-priced when compared to the other hotels we stayed in whilst in Jersey.
7.9 Good
Pros: We liked this small but classy hotel. The location in Rozel Bay was, for us, the best we could have wished for in Jersey. The Victorian house retains most of its original features. Breakfast was good and the staff particularly friendly and helpful. Best of all the fine dining restaraunt is superb and, because we didn't want that every night, 5 minutes down the lane the hotel has a great little pub that serves really excellent food at sensible prices. For us, this place is hard to beat on the island of Jersey. Top tip - find the secret forgotten garden.
Cons: Nope - liked it all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The food was exquisite and very fast serving and I loved the jacuzzi bath :)

Pros: Good breakfast, well located for local amenities, parking on site, Short walk to excellent bus service, close to beach
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All the staff were very friendly. We took our dog Barney and he was made to feel really welcome. The Hotel accommodated us for extra nights when our ferry was cancelled. Excellent location, lovely big rooms everything you needed. If had one thing to gripe about it would be that the croissants and pastries were not refilled at breakfast but that in no way made a difference there was plenty to eat.
Cons: As above the pastries.
8.1 Excellent
Pros: Clean rooms, good area.
Cons: They ran out of gluten free bread on our last day. So not much choice for breakfast.
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfortable beds and great breakfast with excellent service
Cons: Limited parking only 7 spaces so always had to park 400mtrs. away from the hotel in a free car park
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. We were end of season so easy to park but only six spaces outside. Free parking nearby. Close to bus route with £2 fare into St Helier cheaper than paying to park in town.
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean rooms. Friendly staff Excellent position
Cons: No bar
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room and breakfasts were very good
Cons: The hotel only has seven parking spaces and none are allocated as being for disabled use, which I found very surprising in this day and age. This meant that I had to park a five minute walk away at the beach car park. Also the hotel does not have a lift so it was stairs all the time. The hotel should advertise that it is only partly fitted out for disabled use.
