The staff were very helpful, the room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was very good, free overnight parking, nice city.
friendly staff, nice location, spacious & clean bathroom, pretty good breakfast with a wide variety of tea no A/C but only a small electrical fan in the room; bathroom could be brighter; shower doors could not be closed tightly enough
Pool, sauna, steam room, breakfast and location close to old town all excellent. Landau's excellent brew-pub with good value local food and a smoking room is less than 10 minutes on foot. Internet access very expensive via commercial HotSpot at €8/hr. in contradiction to Hotel Overview's: "The Parkhotel Landau welcomes you to enjoy its elegantly furnished, peaceful rooms with free wireless internet access". Parking also only free from 19:00 to 09:00. Restaurant very expensive for dinner compared to local alternatives.
i personally did not stay there myself. booked it for my mum who is a 78 year old german lady and her partner. they were in Bad Bergzabern for the day to enjoy the wellness prgrams and the thermal waters and needed just a place to stay overnight. they had no problems finding it (i suppose they were warned) and were extremely excited about the place. they go to the area every year for an anniversary and thought tgis plca compared very favorably to where they stayed before.. they loved the location and surroundings, the friendliness of the staff and although they could only get a room facing the road to Pirmasens, they thought it was quiet. if there was anything, she did not tell me
A good well run family owned hotel
They need to post a "sign" near the roadside so that they are easier to find (went past the hotel twice).
Very comfortable bedroom with beautiful views over the lake. The main road next to the hotel was rather noisy early in the morning. The ensuite bathroom was very small, though fittings were modern.
The attention to detail of the hotel was wonderful. The owners are friendly and care that things are beautiful and pleasant without being pretentious. Breakfast was a typical European experience and sitting outside was a wonderful option. The hotel grounds were particularly nice as well. The hotel is right by the road so there is some noise from the cars.
Very nice people and very helpful. Food excellant Breakfast good but could do better
Good food, comfortable room in a nice location Some noise from the road. Breakfast not available before 8.00am.
At check-in was advised that restaurant would be open from 7-10pm, found this was shut, had to find evening meal elsewhere, not good for a Hotel! With a 3 star rating. Found the Die Kliene Blume in Erfweiler, on my journey to Austria, with no stars more friendley and better service!!
The staff, food and accommodation no
the dinner and breakfast where very good, the staff where very friendly, overall an exerlent pace to stay
The staff were very friendly and kind, the restaurant and food were very good, the location is beautiful and the rooms were extremely comfortable
Very quiet and the room was very large On the night we were there only a limited buffet of local dishes was available
The room was quite big and reflected the location. The breakfast was lovely The bar only opened on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Not a lot of good when staying on a Monday. Also the restaurant only had a limited menu for dinner "because the hotel isn't full".
very good breakfast Very difficult to reach due to horrendous roadworks, and road closures (apparently these have been going on for a year and a half, but we had no warning of them)
Good hotel, very friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and our stay was very pleasant. Pool was clean (if a little cool) and sauna very nice at the end of the day. All our enquires before the booking were answered quickly and information spot on. Would use again.
The welcome from arrival onwards, the very good service in the restaurant and the range of facilities including a swimming pool. We very much enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again next year.
Quiet rural location Because so few were staying the restaurant was closed.
The views from the balcony were stunning. The buffet breakfast was very good. The rolls especially fresh. The bar and the restaurant closeSunday and Monday evenings. The whole hotel is non smoking even though they offer smoking preference. The pool was cold.
Although we were only staying overnight would have liked to have stayed longer. Its location was perfect. Nothing at all.
The hotel is well positioned overlooking the countryside and vineyards. very good wellness area downstairs and excellent service and food in the restaurant. Room was large with a balcony. Free W-LAN internet available in lobby. Room was old fashioned
Good hotel in a nice surounding. Good restaurant for diner and frühstück. For internet access you need to go down to the lobby. Free of charge WiFi available there.
The room had all the children's bed's set up and no additional charge was made for the children. The room was large and comfortable. The hotel sits on a hill and so car parking is below requiring luggage to be carted up the hill. However, I am sure the hotel would have assited if requested. The hotel bathroom was poorly ventilated with no window.
Breakfast choice not as quite as I like
Staff were very helpful and coped with our requests. Outside lighting not adequate when climbing the stairs to the main reception
Everything about this hotel is of the highest standard from the welcome at reception to checkout. The staff were extremely helpful and one in particular went out of her way to help with translation and explanation of the menu and winelist. Their own wine is great and good value. The rooms were very big, well equipped and the whole place was very clean. I will definitely use it again.
The quality of fittings and the size of the bedroom and bathroom. The fact we didn't have more time to enjoy the hotel.
This hotel was a real gem. Not for people who want lots of nightlife, shopping, children's amusements etc. but if you like peace and quiet, beautiful countryside and lovely little villages, then this is for you. It was a very pretty building with lovely views of the forested hills of the Pfalz. The bedrooms were superb with balconies and little kitchen areas. I would have liked a bathtub but the bathrooms were very good nevertheless. The breakfast was excellent and we had a very friendly welcome. We only had one night there as we were driving to the Alps but will definitely return if we are in the area again. The day we came was the hotel's "Ruhetag" when their restaurant was closed which was a shame as the menu looked very nice. However, this seems to happen with all small hotels in Germany and we will try and make sure we are there on another day in future.
Fantastic family run hotel, hosts are very friendly and ready to provide ideas on places to visit and things to do nearby the hotel. Charming, large rooms with very confortable beds, a large balcony and even a small kitchen with cookware. Delicious and complete breakfast.
Excellent, attentive, professional service from the family in charge. Very spacious rooms and peaceful mountain surroundings. Sadly, but understandably, their restaurant was not open on our Monday stay.
Spacious room, free wifi availability. Quiet room with balcony.
Excellent room, friendly staff, quiet location It would not accept credit cards and this is not apparent when booking
It's a great hotel!
