Clean and comfortable rooms, great location, very nice stuff! There's no fault to be find!
location comfortable staff friendly reasonably priced en suites a bit dated, maybe fixtures and fittings showing their age breakfast very limited
Location of hotel allowed easy access to Estrela mountains. Staff were as helpful as possible and nothing was too much trouble. Very accomodating.
Large, comfortable, pleasant room with balcony. Good location and decent breakfast. Chain hotel so rather impersonal. It took ten minutes to get my key from the rececptionist on one occasion as she was on the phone.
great staff and very helping, clean and very nice hotel
Nice, clean, good value for money, the hotel staff, the cleanliness. The 'rush' for breakfast. Closed at 10 AM sharp... :-)
Staff always very helpful. Good sized clean rooms. Excellent Value
The food, the daily available free newspaper
Central position, parking and clean No hair shampoo in bathroom!
Central location, but tucked away off the main road, so you wouldn't know you were in the centre of town. Had character, was clean & comfortable and value for money - and had internet access & pool Yes - the pool was closed for cleaning, which I did not know when I booked, or I might have looked for somewhere to stay closer to the place I was visiting. (I was on a dual break where I was partly on business and partly relaxing.) Fancy cleaning a pool in july! That's why I have marked down the facilities. Also breakfast culd include a few extras like eggs, etc
Friendliness of the staff - and in primary - the restaurant on the hotel - perfekt service - We felt wellcome - !
The hotel is one of the best in Portugal. Despite it's location in the city center it has an open swimming pool, all day working restaurant and convenient parking lots. 3.60 euro/day Internet access in a room is suitable and better than in other Portuguese hotels. The staff is very friendly. The hotel exit is to the central narrow street. It took about 40 min to leave the hotel after check-out by car as the exit was blocked by two service trucks.
I liked the 24 hour reception duties. The breakfast was lovely and all of the staff were very attentitive. I thought that there could of been more lighting in our bathroom around the bath area as i almost slipped as it is very dark.
Friendly staff, very clean rooms, near some local shops, free car parking little expensive
Beautiful location, serenity of the place, food, comfortable bed, services, kind & helpful hotel staff.
Quality of hotel and service
Absolutely amazing!!! Great rooms, wonderful staff, excellent food, nice pool, sauna, relaxing area. No complaints at all. Its a remote location with fresh air and nature surroundings. Good for walks/hiking and especially good for relaxing. Highly recommended!
The friendliness and professionalism of employees is the best in the house. Excellent design and comfort. Flawless. Dificult access to people with limited mobility.
Comfortable, clean, good value. The hotel restaurant was also very good.
Friendly & helpfull staff
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was fabulous. Beautiful area.
Situated across from the town and in the foothills of beautiful mountains. Peaceful and quiet. Very friendly staff and excellent food. All at a very reasonable price. On site parking and free. No safe in the room, bathrooms need updating
Friendly reception, hospitality, beautiful environment, excellent restaurant and breakfast, very beautiful swimming pool
The hotel is situated in the beautiful valley. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Good place to spend a night if you travel across Portugal. I saw big ants in the flakes when had my breakfast.
It was a most pleasant - but all too short - stay. The staff were frienndly & welcoming. The room was immaculately clean and the food was truly excellent and overall, real value for money. Wi-Fi connection was a bit sketchy
Friendly, family run facility, good location close to beautiful hiking in the Serra do Estrella, great dinners and breakfasts in on-site restaurant with lovely view of town/mountains. Convenient to have internet access on-site. Hosts were very helpful with info about local hiking trails and places of interest. Lovely swimming pool!
A very pleasant hotel near the centre of Manteigas. Close enough to walk, far enough fro tranquility. The atmosphere is real Swiss but befits the surrounding mountains.Nice rooms with balconies with a great view over the West side of the valley. Bathrooms are not too spacy and hotel staff could be more forthcoming and less stiff.
Wonderful location, food was gorgeous in this family run hotel. Staff were very hospitable. Good value for money. Bed was firm.
Beautiful hotel with great surroundings.Great value for the money.
The stay was very pleasant and I can point out all the ambiance completed with the fire places
The hotel is an old style english hotel. Very nice. Has it's charm. Value for your money: A+ No internet in rooms and W-LAN in public area very expensive. Should be for free nowadays. The matrasses are as old as the furniture, which may be painfull, depending on the state of your back. For the ones who might be interested: There is a railway passing right next to the hotel. People with light sleep may have a problem with this. However, I don't.
Excellent facilities. Beautiful and quiet location. Very friendly staff. Nothing.
We chose this hotel with out knowing anything about the place and were very suprised to find such a charming place which has the atmosphere of a pousada. The room was very spacious and had beautiful antic furniture.
The environment of the hotel is very pleasant, facilities are old but comfortable, so we feel like going back in time, staff is very nice, excelent option to relax!! Breakfast is poor, does not correspond to the expectations.
nice new standard hotel, good location not finished, fitness and pool weren't open yet
friendly staff Feezing temperature in the room on arrival, restaurant closed, poor breakfast (late october - offseason - probably only guests).
Brand new hotel. Pool & patio not finished. Little English but we each could understand each other. Couldn't do more for us. Changed our room when our first room didn't pick up the internet access. Very very helpful. Had to drive 10 mins into Seia as it was up on its own in the hills. But we found parking each time in town. Excellent.
It is a quiet place, where you can rest and see the mountain view and shop for local souvenirs
Friendly staff, okay breakfast, good, clean rooms, hotel restaurant was not bad- decent Portuguese food for Portuguese prices. We had booked a triple room but were given a double room (so my wife and I could sleep together) with two extra beds for our children (6&7). With the extra beds folded out, the room was rather cramped, but we did not mind.
Staff, location - ease of touring the area Tired bathroom facilities and furniture -especially the bed.
The Hotel Mira Serra is comfortable, the rooms with great balcony to a nice lanscape and to a very nice and great garden and the hotel is located in the centrum of the modern city services. it is all O.K.
a nice hotel with a good resturant
The management and all of the staff provided a high level of service throughout my stay. The Hotel was maintained to and excellent standard and the meals were indvidually prepared and were supurb.I will be recomending Hotel Mira Serra to my friends.
Convenient for motorway, attentive staff, value for money Booking.com website gave me wrong exit from motorway. Hotel in need of refurb, or could become "period" furnishings in a few more years
No English speaking staff. No daily room cleaning. Just a few tv channels.
The house is spectacular and the owners are extremely nice people, the decoration is very tasteful.
We loved the views from our 'suite', enjoyed swimming every day from the river beach just across the field, had an excellent breakfast each morning, received very helpful information on what to see and do in the area, were treated as personal friends by the owners, appreciated staying in a historic olive oil and flour mill built of the local schist. Meals locally were good and cheap and the people everywhere so friendly. Quite simply we had a wonderful time! Nothing!
A very warm welcome by the hospitable couple that runs the hotel. Very interested and interesting people. You are treated as a friend rather than as a mere customer. It's a pity our Portuguese is so basic. For the rest : nice, clean rooms and a beautiful location.
After a day riding in the mountains getting lost we arrived late but were greeted with a friendly smiley face. Nothing was open in the town but Joaquim made sure we did not go to bed on an empty stomach! Our suite was beautiful and the building which is a converted mill was stunning. It was the most memorable place during the whole of our hotel.
