Pros: Breakfast was delicious every day, starting with a terrific little buffet of cheeses and meats, lox, fruits, etc. followed by a range of delicious cooked breakfast options. Evening chats in the sitting room, usually with Irish coffees, were very pleasant. The host gave lots of great suggestions too, including maps and routes. She even made my partner a cake when she found out it was his birthday!

Pros: Glendine House is fantastic! You can really imagine it as a beautiful home that's now open to friends and family. A sweeping drive (with plenty of rabbits!) takes you to an imposing grey building, but our hosts burst out of the door and couldn't have been more welcoming, showing us to a lovely, cosy room. Some might say it's dated, but that's all part of the charm! We were gutted not to be there longer, but we needed a short stop before catching the ferry first thing the next morning. The owners were so concerned about us having breakfast though and went out of their way to make sure leaving at 6am was as painless as possible. We loved this place and would highly recommend.

Pros: My husband and I stayed for one night at this hostel and were impressed. Rooms and bathroom were clean. The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. The location was perfect- close to the main strip, but still set back a little from all the traffic. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hosts, really caring and good advises on the activities that can be performed in Kilkenny. I loved the place and people here, would have loved staying one more night.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The Hostel and especially the host is nice. It’s located very central, so we could walk to the city centre, which is just awesome. There is some stuff for cooking, but the built of a bigger kitchen was still in progress. (We heard no noise from construction) We were very lucky, that we got up so early and met the night porter. He gave us a great tip for our route to the Wicklow Mountains.
Thanks to him, we had a breathtaking drive through the beautiful landscape instead of following the official motorway.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great, just a 5 minutes walk from the castle, all the restaurant and pubs. The dorm was pretty light, spacious and clean. It's easy to park close-by and not too expensive. The staff at reception is nice.
Cons: The kitchen is no more than a corner of the common room / reception and is ill-equipped. There is next to no breakfast (dry toast and cereal with no milk). There's just one bathroom with both the shower and the toilet in it for a 8 bed dorm + a 3 bed dorm... So access is pretty difficult!!

Pros: - dorms and lovely and comfortable - Individual powerpoints - staff are very friendly and helpful
Cons: - if we had to name one, bigger kitchen area

Pros: The food was absolutely brilliant! Very impressive quality around the hotel. The house was absolutely lovely and the staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. Also the surrounding area was stunning. As mentioned below it is a shame our room needed a little work!
Cons: Our Room was a little shabby in places. The bathroom needs better extraction, it also was quite dated and needs refurbishing. Our room was also very hot being on the top floor. We have to sleep with the windows wide open for our whole stay. Also our large bed had 2 single mattresses with an uncomfortable join in the middle. The mattress quality was also not great, it seemed rather old and needs replacing!
