English breakfast, swimming pool The double Bed was less comfortable than expected
Had two twin rooms, one was a little on the small side the other was fine. It took a very long time to check in, either the system was very poor or the receptionist did not know what he was doing.
Good price for B&B as at a wedding there. Rooms are in need of refirbishment. Drinks are expensive.
Friendliness of the staff. The disabled parking were a little bit too far away from reception. I would prefer a detachable shower head in the bathroom.
Easy access to internet. Too expensive for what it offers.
Used for a family wedding near by, Hotel in a central position buffett breakfast excellent
the use of the pool and gym was very good and the bar and restaurant area were very nice. Bathrooms were a little old fashioned and breakfast should be included in the standard price.
Location The bathroom hadn't been cleaned, there were no towels in the bathroom,
Relaxing and staff friendliness Room service on the pricey side.
Quiet location friendly staff
the swimming pool and the large beautiful room and badroom
Breakfast was poor Location on an industrial estate Handy for city
Professional and efficient reception, spacious room en suite, comfortable bed, good room temperature regulation (not too hot), friendly staff, excellent pool and facilities.
Excellent stay, very good food, piping hot and prompt service. Hotel staff friendly and helpful.
Leisure facilities I was put in disabled room which seemed ok until i was having a shave in the bathroom and struggled with the sink being too low.
This is a fairly new hotel. Very nice place to stay. Room was well equipped and very clean. Usd restaurant and that was very enjoyable, with good menu and very good quality/presentation. Staff were all very polite and helpful.
Not having to drive home
Convenient location and easy parking. N/A
service from staff when booking taxi room service etc.
well equipped room, location On a very warm evening, the room was hot and the window not enough to cool it. a fan might be useful in the height of summer.
Very friendly staff made it feel like a family home rather than a guest house For a cheap and short stay I have no complaints
The hoast was very freindly & helpful, also very nowledgeable on the local area. The food was localy sourced & very tasty. The location was perfectly for our walking of the Way of The Vikings for that particular leg.
Excellent standard, everything working within the room, superb view, great breakfast (continental),convenient location for city centre, adjacent free parking. None
Cleanliness, comfort, location, quality of food & value for money None
Good friendly staff clean rooms good food No clock in room
The hotel was very conveinent from The Deep. We literally walked there with no problems. The staff and service was great. Overall it was a nice hotel for a simple trip I though tthe room was a bit small for a family of 4. Also the first night we ate at the restaraunt and I felt like it was overpriced. And the food was mediocre at best. The tiramisu cake was horrible though.
Clean , modern and great view from the top floor. £7.50 for breakfast
Good position. Comfortable room. Poor quality towels. Shower too hot, couldn't regulate it.
Very helpful and a good breakfast. Good sleep and my dog was welcome and enjoyed his stay None
The greeting was cheery and friendly and we were shown to our room straight away..It was great to have a jar of coffe, a jar of hot chocolate and proper teabags with a teapot on the welcome tray. The complimentary toiletries were excellent. Breakfast was tasty, freshly cooked and served promptly.
Warm welcome, nothing too much trouble and recommendations of where to eat. None
Location - easy reaching distance of Hull but away from city and very close to river/bridge so great for breath of fresh air before working day. Breakfast served very cheerfully in pleasant surroundings. Spacious room and bathroom. All clean A bit noisy (traffic) at the front of the b&b but used to it by 2nd night. No internet access.
No complaints what so ever. We were contacted by phone whilst travelling up to Hull which we found reassuring that room was available.Staff excellent. Room excellent, clean, quiet, bed very comfortable, very impressed. Many Thanks. No bad points
It is a small B&B. Good breakfast. Stituated not far from the center. Very good beds. There was no wifi available at all, as mentionned in the Booking.com-informatiom! Payment by creditcard not possible. No 4 star-accommodation!
The way they upgraded us, free of charge, to the best room as it was available and how they let us bring our very small dog, We slept in miss the breakfast (as we always do) and they very kindly left us to sleep! The B+B was more like a lovely old world hotel...just lovely Not a thing
Attention to detail, a tea pot and jar of coffee, perfume in the bathroom
None No luxury found not a 4star
Bed was really comfortable. Brilliant food and service. Shower temp wasn't consistent.
The room was excellent, a good size and comfortable bed. Huge tv with only 4 channels
Warm and cosy room lovely staff very comfortable stay Had to leave main reception and walk 3 doors down the street to our room, not a massive problem but weather very cold and icy at the time.
Large comfortable room, good english breakfast some of the bathhroom fittings need updating
Very friendly staff. Clean room and excellent breakfast served by friendly member of staff. Very clean tablecloth at breakfast. No really enjoyed my stay.
Staff were friendly, facilities clean and pleasant, beds comfortable and location was idea for centre of Hull. no parking - meter out front from 0830 to 1830 max 2hrs or all day 100yds way £8.50 per day or £5.00 at weekends
Staff friendly and food good Arrived at 2.30 pm on a cold November day no heating or hot water on, at request it was switched on. rooms are big and not easy to heat
staff were helpful and very friendly, it had free wifi; the food from the restaurant was good and obtained at short notice. Room was cold during the afternoon, and has weird notices suggesting its previous role as a lodging house for actors. I really wasnt intending to damage or steal the room furnishings! the rooms had been recently refurbished, but not the basic structure (Central heating, some bathroom fittings).
Nice big room, comfy bed. 1) The crumbling plaster/cornice in our room. 2) The lack of a reading light on one side of the bed. The problem was that there was not even a socket there. Neither of these problems should exist even in the most basic of hotels. Fix the plaster and fit a socket & lamp, and forget the bottled water and sweeties!
The shower wasn't great, the water pressure was low and the water temperature kept changing - freezing one minute roasting the next
There was'nt any rooms for smokers
the staff the plumbing makes noise every time someone flushes the toilet
Location. easy to find Carpet was filty - could use a hoover around the edge and the whole thing could do with a steam clean. Urine stain under the loo which really smelt. Ran out of beans & eggs at breakfast and had to wait for 15 minutes for more.... when the lady waiting with me asked after 10 minutes if there were more coming she was told rudely "have patience." Hotel might be busy but there is no need to be rude to your guests. Stayed at the Premier Inn the next night for same price and it was far superior! (I don't normally leave negative comments either but really disheartened by this experience)
Large room,en suite, clean, comfortable Absolute rubbish internet which costs 11.99 for 24 hours, certainly not use this hotel again untill this problem is sorted.
Location - just 5 mins walk from the main train station Location to train station, clean and helpful/friendly staff
unfortunatley I cannot think of anything good to say about this hotel except that it was there and it was open when I arrived. :-( The staff were unresponsive and unhelpful, The room was grubby and beds not made properly (top sheet and cover where flat but underneath it was a mess), I feel that I should have stayed at the station hotel which was £10 cheaper and only a 3 minute walk away (Station hotel looked very nice)
good staff , accomadative to your requests
Clean, helpful staff, central location close to all amenities. No on site secure parking.
No parking facilities at the hotel had to pay extra for parking in a multi- storey car park
The ease of access to the shopping centres in the city. Should have been able to watch each movie I bought on their pay system several times until the cut of time.
As described pretty much - the pool in particular. Very helful bar staff when we ate evening meal. No mention of the fact that the restaurnt was undergoing major refurbishment and restaurant facilities were in the bar.
the breakfast was superb
Close emenities, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast Room was cold, had to complain and in the end was given an electric heater
The warm welcome at Reception on arrival and when checking out. The slightly complicated breakfast menu with 2 sections. The first being uncooked and the second cooked. It didn't make it clear whether you could mix both menus or just select from one menu.
The hotel is very central to town. The breakfast was poorly organised and when we attended at 10.00 am although the restaurant contained only 20 or so customers, there were no tables available and then no hot food available. We were not offered tea and coffee and when I asked for the hot drinks, we then had to ask for milk twice before this was brought. A truly terrible breakfast experience which could very easily have been much better.
Always convenient for the city centre and predictable in quality.Enjoy the proximity to the Marina and view from the restaurant. Not told about the £5 charge for parking.
Nice hotel, staff very attentive.
The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very comfortable. The restaurant was delightful looking on to the marina. The evening meals were good and the breakfasts excellent.
staff very friendly with good local knowledge clubs shops staff at breakfast putting fingers inside of clean glasses in order to carry 4 or 5 at a time when resetting tables
No resturaunt in hotel
No mirror near a plug for use of hair dryers etc!
Clean, modern, good facilities, not too pricey no, although it would have been nice to have free parking!
The staff were very friendly and helpfull. The prices of the drinks at the bar are very expensive. There was dried blood on the duvet from obviously a previous person. Room Number 115
The location of the hotel is fantastic. No iron in the room, as most hotels provide these days
Reception and bar staff really friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfy clean, tidy and in excellent repair No complaints
so central for everything in town we wre here for a theatre break. n/a
Convenient location. Close to railway and bus terminal. Next to St Stephens shopping mall Nobody on reception desk on returning at 2130. No bell. Had to ask the barman to find a reception staff member.
Friendly staff, who promptly provided a new room when we found our allocated room had no heating. Relaxed but professional, always quick to return to the desk when we buzzed as they were working in the back office. Breakfast selection left something to be desired (very limited range of hot food) and the coffee (from a machine) was poor.
It was convenient to where I wanted to go in Hull no comments
? hours range the breakfast was served was not wide enough (too early)
I like every thing about the hotel from the size of the rooms, general cleanliness, service and good breakfast provided Inadequate toilet and shower facilities. One has to go a floor down to use either .of the facilities
Friendly service, good sized room, everything worked, relatively quiet location. Very efficient breakfast service. None, actually.
Inclusive breakfast was very good, especially considering the price It is slightly tired looking, but don't forget, this is a budget Hotel. I would certainly stay there again.
The hotel was excellent, nice and friendly staff, ecellent location, nice and quiet, yet only 10 minutes walk, to the centre, will most certainly, stay here again, have reccommended it to other, people I know, who will be staying here in the near future No bad points at all
Friendly and helpfull staff. Very cheap and full english was included with cereal, toast and tea. They let you order more tea and toast for free. 5 minutes walk to a range of shops and fast food outlet and tesco express but not too close to cause any disturbance. Large map in foyee showing where you are and the rest of Hull. Room decor and furniture is all a little dated, but is kept well and clean. They tried to charge me an additional £4 for using a credit card but told them they did not state this on yell. They did not force the issue any further.
The staff were very friendly and did everything they could to make our stay a pleasant one.
Good value for money, clean and tidy. Courteous service. Good location. I booked a single room, and got the smallest guestroom that I have ever seen! I was perhaps a little spoiled because I was given a family room on my previous visit to the same hotel. Nevertheless, I got what I paid for, so this is not a complaint.
Friendly helpfull service Could give better value for money especially with meals when compared to other hotels in the area.
Terrible Value for Money. Extremely dated deco and facilities considering the price!
Locality, good food Noisey guests!
the bed was comfortable
The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was something for everyone. I stayed with my husband, but had we taken the children too, there was a wacky warehouse to keep them entertained...... The bed was uncomfortable, and we both woke with backache the next morning. Neither of us drink tea and coffee, so the refreshments left in the room did not suit us. I think more people are choosing not to drink hot drinks, so a cold/soft drink alternative should be made available....
restaurant tiny rooms
Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was extremely friendly and helpful.
Good value, close to where I was working
Good free internet, very local to Industrial Estate Food was average
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the room was clean and tidy when we arrived and the bed was amazingly comfortable! Also the room was much cheaper than advertised so i was pleasantly surprised at the end of my stay too!
the hotel rooms were quite tatty and my sheet on the bed had a whole in it
We got back to our room around 12.30 am and we waited outside the hotel around 10 min because no body was there to open the hotel door fo us. We were lucky because one of the maintenance guys saw us and opend the door!! clealiness,
Very Handy Parking can be improved , more car spaces
The breakfast was good The room was tired and scruffy and far too hot. We got very little sleep. There was a lot of noise from drunk guests coming in at 3am.
Nothing, the hotel was awful. The staff were rude, the rooms were horrible, they smelt, the walls were stained the noice from out side gave you a headache. We had 3 different room in one night, the first had a toilet which didn't flush, the second smelt, sink didn't empty and and 3 was just as bad. I have written a complaint to the hotel.
Nothing #it was Very dirty, noisy and smelly
Budget accomodation with reasonable facilities and helpful staff Car parking was a joke and WIFI is only free for the first hour. If you need the internet for work you might aswell stop at a more expensive hotel with free WIFI
Friendly and helpful reception and night porter. No complaints with the staff I came into contact with The shower didn't work properly. The toilet wouldn't flush. The linen wasn't ironed properly because the hotel's industrial iron apparently wasn't working. I had to wait a while for someone to let me into the hotel at 2:30am in the morniing as there is no intercom serice or key entry. I couldn't book an alarm call for later that morning as nobody answered the supposed 24 hour reception line. I could have stayed at a far superior hotel for around 5 pounds extra
excellent staff, friendly and helpfull very poor bathroom, run down and not very clean. old television.
Reception ver smart but room very basic. Bathroom was mouldy & smelled!
good location for visiting hull university busy pub restaurant, did not feel like a hotel when signing in. only stayed one night luckily because a mouse in the room chewed a plastice bag
Proximity to University No lift and too many short flights of stairs making it difficult to access rooms with luggage.
Nice rooms, cheap food and drink One of the staff little unpleasent (red head girl)
Friendly staff and excellent manager This hotel had not received your booking form. Also they say they do not deal with active hotels online. Good jo I called the day before or we would have arrived and nowhere to stay
Value for money, proximity to university, parking and excellent cheap good food
Excellent value for money. Friendly staff. Clean and tidy Nothing to say here
Staff friendly and helpful. Separate room for older daughter. Tariff Some areas in need of redecoration.
Location, price, was clean Old, tired,
The hotel was spot on for our needs, good room, value for money, good pub below for food and drinks, felt safe and close to local amenities. Excellent for gigs at the adelphi. Will go again if we want to see someone there. Unfortunately not enough staff in pub so fairly long waits, incorrect order taken and staff slightly stressed looking, but all still took the time to look after us so would not be put off by this alone.
I have stayed in this hotel before. For someone visiting the university, this hotel is quite simply the right choice - just across the road from the university's main entrance. Excellent value for money too. The rooms are comfortable with all necessary facilities and the staff are very friendly. And you do not have to look for a place to eat or drink as there is a pub in the hotel. Will always stay there whenever I visit the university again. I was more than happy with everything...
breakfast was lovely
Reasonable price for a city centre Poor food and a freezing cold romom
I booked a twin room, primarily received a key to a double room - they changed it to a large family room without any further problems.
staff very good breakfast was not hot
Friendliness of staff Decor is a bit dated
The b reakfast in the morning as there was a great choice. Absolutely everything!!! The hotel is a dive, and is more like student halls than a respected hotel. It smelt of smoke, the shower wasn't working properly and the only good thing was the breakfast I paid for in the morning!
Big and modern My room was connected to another room by a door. I didnt feel safe and also the tv from the 2nd room was by the door and I could hear absolutely everything over my head. So couldnt sleep !
it is situated ideally for visiting my family around Beverley Road My first impressions were of a cooridor with a door open with dirty crockery on the floor and the carpet around the doors had never been hoovered, but after that the hotel redeemed itself.
Nothing Very poor quality all round
Very friendly staff.
Excellent, friendly staff
Convenience and food - staff were helpful Rooms are now rather shabby and a lot of noise on the road side of the block
not enough sockets in the room for charging phones on plugging laptop into
Convenient proximity to city centre Expensive bar prices. Restaurant / reception area rather drab & lacking in light.
There really was nothing good to say about it apart from the location which might have been equally a bonus or a burden depending on your outlook. It was cold, there was mold in the bath area there were no non-slip anything in the bathroom making showering dangerous. It was noisy and you could here everything going on in other rooms. The room was small and the breakfast adequate but not great, to be fair though we didn't have a cooked breakfast so that might have been OK. The local radio station is played far too loudly in the restaurant/ breakfast bar area.
The staff. The food was reasonably priced and good. The bathroom was clean and well maintained. There is no easy chair in the room, which detracts from the comfort level.
Convenient for City Centre and major roads. Good value budget room. Best coffee I have had in a hotel for a long time.
Convenient location, cosy well equipped room, adequate breakfast, good value for money.
No spare 3 pin electrical socket to use laptop
