Pros: The lady could not do enough for us. Everything was excellent.
Pros: It was nice and peaceful location. The shower was really nice.
Cons: When I booked this location it said that breakfast was included. We only had cereal tea and bread. As we were going to ploughing match we were looking forward to full Irish breakfast but as we wanted this early it did not suit the owner if I had known this I would not have booked this place as we were always facilitated other places we stayed. There was no TV in the room and no heating on at all. Mattress on bed could do with a change no support. We had this paid for before we arrived.???
Pros: Wonderful luxurious hotel, with massive plush beds and spotless bathroom. The hotel is a beautiful house out in the country, right by the Blackstair Mountains, which offers a dramatic backdrop outside the hotel. It feels miles away from anywhere, and yet is only a short drive from Kilkenny and Carlow towns. Katie herself is very friendly and super polite, and clearly takes a lot of pride and care in making sure your stay is comfortable and pleasant.
Pros: Fantastic view of Blackstairs mountains, very quiet area. Excellent host and perfect full Irish Breakfast cooked to perfection.
Cons: Everything was excellent.
Pros: Love the countryside, mountains. Beautiful place to stay. Breakfast was delicious
Cons: Loved everything. No negative
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay and the host made us feel so welcomed
Pros: Everything was beyond expectations.Really nice
Pros: The location was off of the beaten path with animals( sheep cattle and a donkey ) close by.
Pros: Very pleasant owners. Lovely house in the countryside. Sparkling clean and very comfy beds.
Pros: Our host is most pleasent and helpful, nothing is a problem.

Pros: Loved that breakfast was included and fresh. Can’t beat the convenience of staying above the pub
Pros: I love Inistigoe Village and I love the ambience of the Woodstock Arms
Cons: The shower
Pros: Staff were amazing from the owners to the young woman who served breakfast.
Pros: Staff went out if their way to be helpful and also made me hot chocolate for breakfast.
Pros: The location was perfect - Annette was so friendly and gave us great information about local restaurants. Breakfast kept us going all day
Pros: Very welcoming and went above and out of their way to help us, breakfast was fantastic and aimed to please through out our stay, would highly recommend Zoe
Pros: Everything was perfect
Cons: All was perfect for us
Pros: Friendly staff. Great breakfast
Pros: Very nice people running the facility which itself is very clean and cosy
Pros: The room was perfect for my needs. Bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous. And most importantly, the owners are a lovely family and so thoughtful.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.

Pros: Very clean and quiet place. Hellen was really nice and helpful.
Pros: The welcome from Helen, the location and beautiful views, the quality of the decor, cleanliness of the room and the superb breakfast.
Cons: Helen is the most delightful and welcoming host. So very friendly and helpful. She keeps a beautiful home and pays great attention to every detail. I would highly recommend Brandon View House.
Pros: The house was a dormer bungalow in the middle of the Country, surrounded by sheep in green fields. It was a very nice clean house, nicely decorated.
Cons: The host gave us a friendly greeting, however her next sentence was that we stay quiet as they were quests sleeping, this was 6 o clock in the evening. We went into town and returned at approx 8pm, and again the host requested we keep quiet as some of the quests were rising at 4am (not my problem). There was no need for this request as we are respectful, civilized people. This really put a disappointment slant on our stay. The host did rinse out and dried our wet suits. I would not stay here again. I felt she just wanted our money.
Pros: the landlady's obvious commitment to her guests, the beautifully kept house with so many "touches" to make one feel welcome: tea and coffee corner on the landing, range of books in the living room, lovely outdoor places to sit
Cons: the power showers are noisy, so one is woken up every time another guest takes a shower!
Pros: Beautiful house in a beautiful setting. Helen very welcoming and friendly. Lovely place to stay. Will definitely go back.
Cons: Nothing at all
Pros: great staff, very friendly and helpful
Pros: Very friendly host and beautiful setting. Highly satisfied ! hope to go back one day.
Pros: Brilliant breakfast, some lovely homemade extras
Cons: When booking B&B you should get B&B rate not just a room rate
Pros: Helen is one of the nicest persons you'll ever meet. She was very welcoming and knows the area so well - just ask her and follow her ideas on where to go, what to see and where to grab a bite! The house is great - I loved the breakfast room and the lounge area for guests...both offer amazing views and give you a very homy feeling :) Warm breakfast is freshly made and delicious, the variety for cold breakfast is also really good.
Located in Borris, Step House Hotel is a 3-minute drive from Borris Golf Club and 9 minutes from Duiske Abbey. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The hotel was extremely clean and comfortable
Cons: An argument broke out outside our bedroom and woke us up . Not the hotels fault but it’s what we did not like
Pros: Excellent hotel breadfast with all the usual commestibles provided
Cons: No admission from the car park to the hotel, so parked on the Main Street in a quiet little town, so no problem
Pros: Loved the decor, and overall atmosphere of the hotel. Staff courteous and attentive. Delicious food. Would defo stay again
Pros: We stayed in one of the cottages and it was lovely. All of the staff members were really helpful.
Pros: The Hotel was convenient to the wedding venue. The breakfast was adequate.
Cons: We stayed in Townhouse No. 7 for one night; two persons, two rooms. Townhouse was ready when we arrived, to our surprise, as we had just had lunch in the bar. We arrived to find the premises hurriedly cleaned; the carpets had not been vacuumed with leaves and debris. There was a towel from a previous client still hanging on back of bathroom door. Both showers were extremely antient and discoloured and needed replacement, as was the shower tray. The fit of the bedrooms did not suit their space; the sitting area, on the other hand, was extraordinarily spacious, though it did contain magazines from 2006-16, which we found remarkably dated. For the facilities, given the lack of attention to cleaning, and updated, it would be wise to review pricing, whilst update/refurbishment is carried out.
Pros: Amazing staff. Large townhouse/cottage. Super comfortable beds. Great location. Since the restaurant was booked for the evening, the staff went out of their way to secure us with alternative restaurant reservations down the road. There is a kindness about this place and the town that made Borris a highlight of our trip.
Cons: We wish we could have stayed longer... We didn't like having to leave due to our travel schedule, we wanted more time there!
Pros: Borris is a beautiful town with lots of local attractions. The step house issue in a super area across from the famous Borris House and gardens. There is a wonderful warmth and welcome by the staff and the house is very tastefully decorated with wonderful views from balconies. Lots of fantastic walking and history trails with lovely old world pubs
Pros: Large room, beautiful views, great breakfast.
Pros: Lovely setting - mature gardens, etc.
Cons: Service erratic - front desk also serving behind bar, and attention to detail did not reach expectations. Transport from hotel into an event in Kilkenny, the reason for my visit, failed.
Pros: Very beautiful rooms, really spacious, not like most double room hotels. Very quiet, superb cineary, only 30 minutes from anywhere if you really wanted to leave. Been several times and never tire of the place and we are a young married couple who love going places and doing things.
Cons: A bit of a let down that's there's no spa or swimming pool /facilities.
With a stay at Cullintra House in Inistioge, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Dunbrody Emigrant Ship and Duiske Abbey.
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, location very good.
Cons: It was somewhat expensive for what it was.
Pros: Great food. Very spacious. Beautiful location and the house is interesting & unique. I had my own personal log fire ready and waiting for me each evening. A short walk up to the mountaintop cairn from the yard.
Pros: The food was delicious and Patricia is a lovely host, very knowledgeable about the area. The house looks idyllic from the outside and is set in beautiful countryside. A real haven from the bustle of modern life. We loved meeting the other guests at dinner and breakfast and really enjoyed our stay.
Cons: The house is decorated in an old fashioned "antique" style which is very charming but, whilst the house is not dirty the bedrooms could benefit from a bit of dusting. The small windows make the rooms a little dark but you do get used to this.
Pros: Nice tranquil location and a charming place
Pros: The house was very unusual. The food was excellent, especially the breads.
Cons: The timing of the meals was very slow. We had nowhere to put our things: no wardrobe, no chest of drawers. When we were leaving the hostess said we hadn't paid, although we had.
