Pros: Art work, old world charm with modern amenities. Great dining/drinking living room
Pros: Great gathering spaces for drinks and breakfast. Hip styling and great location in artsy neighborhood with easy walk to center attractions.
Cons: Air conditioning was intermittent and some other quirks of a remodeled older building. Artwork and style makes it all good just slightly inconvenient at times.
Putting you in a great location within just a 10-minute walk of Zoom and Austrian Parliament Building, Hotel Altstadt Vienna offers an airport shuttle (available on request) for EUR 40 per vehicle one way. You can unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge, and free buffet breakfast is available daily between 6:30 AM and 11 AM. Rooms at this luxurious hotel get the details right with nice touches like premium bedding, espresso makers, and slippers.
Pros: The best rooma are the suites at the last floor
Cons: Had to ask for cleaning, which was done poirly and randomly.Room not ehat I bought , room service poir choices
Pros: Gorgeous hotel with beautiful design and excellent staff that go out of their way to ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible. Great bar, excellent breakfast. The location could also not be beat - within walking distance from Vienna's main downtown attractions, shopping and dining. Highly recommended.
Pros: The hotel was nice, walking distance to amazing sites and good restaurants.
Pros: Staff was very nice prime location and decent rooms
Cons: You have to pay €25 if you want to use the gym (per day)
Pros: Service is excellent, staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect with easy acces to museums, metro
, resturants and shopping center. Breakfast is really good. Ambience is very nice. The bar has very good selection of drinks.
Pros: Provided us with an early check in room which was a godsend after the redeye journey.
Cons: Front desk staff gave us the wrong information on the train station.
Pros: Location and service
Cons: Express laundry treatment is not "express" at all. There's no way to get laundry back the same day if deposited during the day. In my view that kind of service is essential for business travellers
Located in Innere Stadt, this luxury hotel is within a 5-minute walk of Michaelerplatz and Spanish Riding School. Hofburg Imperial Palace and Burgtheater are also within 10 minutes.
Pros: Rooms are fairly large for European standards and the location is great. The bed is fairly good and the bathroom game is strong.
Cons: Found the overall staff service to be lacking. Concierge typically jumps at opportunity to provide service/advice but not here. For the most part, the hotel bars and restaurants are over-hyped and completely over-priced with much better alternatives just a few steps away (both quality and price). Smell of stale smoke hits you just as you enter the building - thanks to a smoking lounge conveniently located on the second level. Hotel wifi is a total joke and not to be relied upon. Hotel includes restricted wifi with your room rate and asks ridiculous payment for slight improvement. In my experience even budget accommodations provide this service infinitely better. Overall, this is a stuffy hotel situated for the stuffy traveler. Sounds of enjoyment or laughter are non-existent in common areas, which speaks volumes. Call yourself luxury, and pay for memberships in luxury hotel associations all you want - it doesn't make it so.
Cons: breakfast was limited vs. other LHW hotels

Pros: front desk receptionist very authentic hot bath water, comfortable bath tub interesting floor in room - no carpet, that's good minimalistic design makes a change
Cons: room service entering despite no disturb sign (delivery of extra towels took about 20 min) quite loud ventilation you could hear other rooms flushing the toilet the service in the bar is chaotic
Pros: We stayed at the Sofitel on our honeymoon. The entire staff went above and beyond in welcoming us and making it a very special three days. The hospitality and service were wonderful. And of course the location and view of Vienna cannot be matched!
Pros: The sky lounge is wonderful
Pros: contemporary, clean, lots of amenities, complementary water and juice, free internet, close to u-bahn station (schwedenplatz) and short walk to center of city
Cons: room was bit small and layout was awkward for those used to american hotels.
Pros: Cool bar, very nice staff
Cons: Sticky furniture, Plastic degraded, supposedly will be renovated next year.
Pros: It was lovely hotel, modern rooms, amazing river view, smiley, friendly, helpful staffs, they did upgrade my room, thanks for all staffs.
Pros: Nice modern hotel with wonderful staff.
Pros: The service, the staff, the room with its wonderful bathroom & the view, the view from the 18th floor restaurant & cocktail lounge.
Cons: The location would have been better if it were on the Ring Strasse where the Ritz Carlton &The other 5 star hotels are located. A beautiful boulard near all the high end shopping &The Opera House.
Pros: great overall design, Restaurant & bar at 18th floor
Outstanding in all aspects
Pros: Staff. Superb staff. It is rare in Europe to receive hospitality like this. 100 stars to them. Special thanks to night manager, missing his name. Austrian guy. Little heavy. Just perfect.
Cons: I wish there was a swimming pool.

Explore the old town and Vienna Woods or ride the famous Ferris wheel. Marvel at the breathtaking views from the glass-fronted Das LOFT restaurant, bar and lounge on the 18th floor. Enjoy a drink and sample the innovative cuisine high above the rooftops of Vienna!
Pros: - Bed was comfortable. It's pretty soft so for people who want really hard beds, this place might not be good to choose.
- Included refrigerator. Being someone who doesn't eat very much, it's nice to store food, there's a microwave for reheating. You can even get cold drinks as Europe hardly ever have ice.
- Centralized heating, you can set a default temperature much like a regular hotel room.
- Location. It's about a block from the State Opera House and near multiple Karlsplatz entrances. Closest one that you won't have to wait to cross the street is the exit on Elizabeth-Strabe.
- Roomy. I got an apartment which might still be pretty large for 2-3 people. You will usually see a whole family of 3+ stay here.
- Daily House-Keeping. I usually put my "Do Not Disturb" sign, but if you don't, the hotel staff will go into the apartment, vacuum, straighten out the beds, mop the bathroom floor if wet, and take away trash. Make sure to put away everything from the counters and tables if you don't want them tossed.
- I really liked one of the staff members at the desk. He was very helpful when I asked him questions. The others didn't seem like they were comfortable speaking English as I would normally get short one or two word answers while I would see them be more helpful with questions they know the answer to (Ex. regarding construction).
- Decoration. I liked the orchids in the room and the glossed-glass divider really complimented the look.
Cons: - Spotty internet. Only chance you get internet is in the evening time so for the people who need to search for travel/tourist information or plane check-ins, better do them at those times. During the day, you sometimes won't get any internet at all. I'm not sure if this is normal or not considering the hotel construction.
- Hard to find. Due to the hotel construction, for someone who has never been to Vienna, it was hard to find the building as the large sign at the front is usually covered up by construction. Unless you've been there before, it's hard to know that you have to go to the side of the building past a wooden door in order to get to the check-in and check-out office. It wasn't until the end of my week stay, did I see paper signs being put around the building pointing to the temporary hotel entrance door.
- No staff notifications. For any business, if there's construction, every employee should be notified of any annoyances and non-emergencies/drills. For two days during my week stay, there were random alarms blaring loudly for about a minute. One of those times, it woke me up. Customers should be notified about this prior to the event in the chance where it may have been a real emergency.
- Semi-clean. It's clean enough for an average person, but I'm part germaphobe. When I looked at the apartment, there were certain stains all over the place (Ex. on the rugs and sofas). I also brought new slippers to use and by the end of the trip, it was pretty much greyed out which means most likely the floors are only swept/vacuumed and never mopped. The refrigerator had a stench or maybe old food from previous customers that I think a nice box of baking soda for every refrigerator would be enough to take the smell away. The restroom (both toilet-room and shower-room) also left a certain mildew smell. Considering the small hole patches on the tile walls, I forsee the state of the apartment may get worse if nothing else is done to keep the apartment in better condition.
- Slow elevator. It only fits 3 people and it takes awhile for it to go up and down. The elevator also doesn't have an up button so even if you want to walk up some flights of stairs, you would have to press the down button and hope no one's going down in order to go up to your floor.
- Decoration. I already expected it considering the photos, but the face paintings tend to be creepy like eyes following you around the room. I had Skype calls and some people also pointed out the paintings and why there are so many faces staring at you.

Pros: Don't let the modern unattractive exterior fool you, this is a very nice hotel, especially considering the low price. The rooms are spacious, quiet, spotless and the wi-fi is excellent. Unlike many smaller hotels in Europe, there is even an elevator (lift) and free on-site parking. The included breakfast was one of the best we have ever had at a hotel. There is a automatic cappucino/expresso machine, hard boiled and scrambled eggs, American style crispy bacon (speck), assortment of breads/Croissants, charcuterie/cold cuts, cheeses, juices, teas, yogurts and the list goes on. The service was excellent and efficient. It is well located in a lovely small town only about 15 minutes from the Airport and is close to downtown Vienna as well. It makes a perfect last or first night stop to or from the airport. Remember that the electronic key card must be placed at the receptacle at entrance to the room to activate the electricity in the room (energy saving feature). BUT this makes it VERY easy to leave the key locked in the room upon exit. Staff was very helpful to get us back into the locked room.
Cons: Unattractive exterior

Pros: Everything in the center u may wanna see is in walking distance: albertina, hoffburg palace, rathouse, opera house, st. Stephen's cathedral etc. plenty of restaurants near by, walking zone kantner strasse around the corner. sky bar and do&co bars are in 3 minute walk, both with great views and sky has live music. Basically the hotel to be if you are not a stay in the toom type of guy/girl. Staff is friendly and helpfull.
Cons: Rooms are very simple and small, but what do you care if there is so much to see in Vienna. They are clean and got everything u may need or want.
I got this hotel for the own bar and the decent number of rooms thinking that as a solo traveler it will be a great way to meet new people. Low in behold - the bartender is very nice and knowlegeble, speaks great english ( even though i know german), but the bar itself is dead. There are barely 6-8 guests at a time, you wont be meeting anyone there. it is slightly cheaper, than bars on kentner strasse, so I would stop buy and have a drink before heading out.
I had early tours every morning, never quite figured out if they provided breakfast, it certainly was NOT available in the bar, as the hotel papers claimed.

Pros: The staff was very helpful and friendly. In the 90ies this must have been a good hotel
Cons: All in all it was nice but the furnishing in the rooms seems very old, from the early 90ies.

Pros: Easy access to and from the airport and to and from Vienna
Cons: the customer service was zero! the girl at the desk did mistake when she set the card to go to the room , by gave me a wrong number. I have to comeback all the way down to ask her to set a properly number of the card.
no hit on the room very cold and very dirty.
also customer service the bad I ever see on any hotels....
too bad....for how much money I paid
Pros: While all aspects of my stay here were great, the wellness center is nothing short of phenomenal. If you are an exercise enthusiast, this is your best option in Vienna! Cardio equipment is slightly outdated, but in perfect working order. By the true winner is the Precor usa s3.45 cable resistance system with three stations and a huge range of available exercises. Finally, there is a luxurious sauna/steam room/ multi nozzle shower area. Massages also available. I got an amazing workout at this center, and it made my stay very stress relieving on 11Nov16....
Cons: Shower doors would be good, but this is Europe, understood :) perhaps an additional 3-4 private, simpler stalls could be added.
Cons: They gave us a room from 1980s. Old oooold.
Pros: Good location
Cons: The stuff didn't make check out and don't give the permission for free breakfast untill we have send them email with booking confirmation
Pros: Even though they had no record of my reservation, I had my paperwork and they honored the price and terms. Very helpful!
Cons: The hotel had no record of my reservation. Assume it was a Kayak issue.
Pros: Location is unbeatable for an airport hotel. Superb facilities for the lounge and restaurant.
Cons: Glass enclosure of bathroom detracts from the comfort of the room.
Pros: Food was delicious and it was very convenient for our early morning flight the next day.
Cons: Though there was free wi-fi, the business center computers were pay only. Kind of ridiculous considering $250+ we spent on our room, lunch, and dinner.
Pros: I was in Slovakia on vacation, and had to fly the next morning from Vienna Airport, so decided to go a day early to Vienna and not rush in the morning. Airport was perfectly located. Also, across the street can catch the CAT train right into the heart of Vienna - non stop 16 minutes. Clean room, courteous staff. Perfect location for what I needed. Easy booking through kayak
Cons: TV in room did not work, one bed was uncomfortable, I declined Breakfast buffet at 22.9 E, which was very high - can catch a bite in the airport or airline lounge.
Cons: Would have preferred good brewed coffee rather than freeze dried.
brekfast was decent
Cons: dirty rooms
extra charge for everything e.g. rob, sloppers, iron and etc.
Pros: Proximity to airport. Easily walkable to airport for our early morning flight.
Cons: Inattentive, robotic concierge employee who helped us check in seemed more intent to upsell us to a bigger room and didn't provide clear instructions or information about the facilities. Room was incredibly noisy. Even with window closed we could hear car horns almost all night long. Person in room above us sounded like he was rearranging furniture and doing construction work.
