Located in Tuineje, Playitas Hotel is by the sea, a 1-minute drive from Las Playitas Beach and 7 minutes from Gran Tarajal Beach. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: I love everything else about this place. The staff, the facilities, the food, the weather!!
Cons: The prices of drinks (beer and coffee) have gone up a lot since the last time I was here (50%) 18 months ago. The prices in the mini-market are also very expensive compared to the local Spar shop (5 minute walk away). You also have to pay for more of the classes than before.
Pros: Liked the sheets and pillows, loved my little corner room. Hotel grounds are amazingly well maintained and clean. Lots to choose from at the breakfast/lunch/dinner buffet. I was amazed with the amount of activities on the daily schedule. There is no way anyone can be bored at this place! Massage was great, and it was easy to book appointments at the spa.
Cons: Food was quite bland and lacking in flavor. More spices, plz? The bed was a bit rickety, and didn't feel very solid. I had the full board option, and so drinks were not included. However, I think water and soft drinks should be, and the prices for these non-alcoholic options were quite steep. Also, coffee only included with breakfast?? Smoking is allowed on the terrace and other public spaces, but I think a hotel that markets itself as a destination for health-conscious travelers could benefit from limiting smoking space to just a few secluded spots. Not in places where other people might be eating.
Pros: Beautiful 50m pool, great surroundings for cycling, good bike hire, great food
Cons: Running trails could be marked out with approx distances (minor quibble)
Pros: The buffet breakfasts and dinners were excellent and the restaurant very well run. The quality of the classes was also very good.
Cons: The beds were a bit basic.
Pros: The staff were so friendly. We had our 5 month old with us and they helped make us as relaxed as possible. The sports facilities are excellent plus the food is great.
Pros: Great resort with great, extremly friendly staff. Breakfast and dinner buffets outstanding. Very nice and calm location. You can do whatever sports you‘d like to do. Facilities are very professional, trainers very well prepared. It‘s a lot of fun staying at Playitas!
Cons: We had two french beds instead of one double bed. For a couple never the best solution ;) Lighting in the room was very cold, also in the bathroom. Warmer light would make it a more comfortable stay. Other than that, the room had all you need. Unfortunately, they didn‘t offer healthy protein shakes or snacks during the day. The supermarket was filled with unhealthy snacks.
Pros: Great sports facilities, 50m pool was super, great value , lane booking system was great. Gym was excellent.
Cons: Bit of a drag up to my room on level 7
Pros: Amazing holiday amazing staff can’t wait to come back!!!
Pros: Great variety of tasty healthy food options. Loved the Thai nights!
Pros: Great staff. Good facilities.
Cons: Music for pool exercises far too loud. This dominates the complex and the whole town. Spoils the holiday for many just so a few can jump about in a pool. We are currently staying in the town in an apartment. The music from the hotel spoils the quiet atmosphere of the town. This is a selfish imposition on the part of the hotel. A form of pollution in fact. This does not ‘Free the mind’. It is a form of noise imprisonment reminiscent of procedures used to torture people.
Pros: very good hotel, good food and facilities, many sports
Cons: the showers in the rooms do not work properly to the extent that they are unusable going from too hot to use to too cold every 10 seconds, according to reception this is a hotel design fault on all rooms and cannot be repaired?????
Pros: The vieuw was beautiful and it was very quiet. Staff was very nice, especially Lynn Prins from the reception.
Pros: The peaceful area, not too many people at this time of the year..
Pros: the room was great, clean. the staff was very kind, helping, give a relevant information about the facilities.
Pros: every thing was good, food could be better, nice weather, very kind, polite and helpful stuff.
Cons: room cleaning was terrible the same towels for all days, don`t know how to clean the floor, problems with english language.
