Cons: It rained. I'll blame mother nature.Did not dampen the stay, however.
Pros: Bruce and Donna are excellent hosts. Breakfast was fabulous. Bruce gave us great suggestions of things yo see in the area. The strawberry shortcake in the evening was a special treat. The grounds are beautiful at their home and the countryside is. breathtaking. I highly recommend.
Pros: impeccably clean and very comfortable. A beautiful garden setting and wonderful hosts.
Cons: Fantastic place and people.
Pros: The garden was like an oasis designed for a traveler to relax and unwind in, with many surprises. I have been in operating rooms that were not as clean as our room. Our room was bright, cozy with quality furniture, bedding and a full bathroom. The chocolates and a personalized welcome card were nice touches. Everything from umbrellas to ice in the fridge was provided for our convenience. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. I have traveled extensively in rural Newfoundland and I would have to say this is my favorite B&B.
Cons: I should have stayed longer.
Pros: Lots of things to see on the property!
Pros: Donna's love for her BnB shows through in all the details, from the gardens to the tastefully decorated bedrooms to the artwork in the dining room. Breakfasts were superb. There are a number of interesting hikes in the area as well as the fossil beds at Fortune Head Ecological Reserve.
Pros: Everything is so so nice, clean, etc, the host made a treat/snack for us the night of our arrival..
Pros: Food was amazing and there was almost too much. Besides a great breakfast a bedtime snack was also served. As well, access to water and soft drinks in the room at no extra charge was greatly appreciated.
Cons: The room was small and somewhat cramped. As well, the place advertised that WI-FI was available but it was too slow to be useful. I am not talking about streaming - it was so slow that I could not even access my email. In this day and age, there is not really an excuse to offer such poor internet - the world abounds with solutions even in Newfoundland.
Pros: Donna our host and owner was so friendly, kind and by far an amazing hostess especially with her homemade snacks and to die for breakfast. The bed was just like home, the beautiful gardens was like nothing else you’ve seen, so tranquil and then on your walk around the property, you see all the homegrown vegetation and the chickens that laid your breakfast eggs. The only downside... we couldn’t stay longer.
Pros: What a fantastic property, the gardens are just beautiful. Donna was an amazing host and took care of everything, even a bonfire. Loved that we had fresh eggs from the hens. Delicious stay, our only regret was that we were only staying one night.
Fortune Harbourview Vacation Home is located in Fortune, just 500 metres from the ocean. Free WiFi access is available. The rooms are equipped with hardwood floors. Towels and a hairdryer can be found in the bathroom. At Fortune Harbourview Vacation Home you will find a kitchen and lounge. There is an on-site gift shop. The ferry to St. Pierre is only 7 minutes' walk or 1 minutes' drive away.
Pros: Very comfortable bed, nice full kitchen, everything you need especially if you're travelling with kids.
Cons: There was no number on the building when I drove up; no sign of any kind either. Without Internet access, I didn't have the host's phone number so I went to a nearby convenience store. Not a big deal but a little confusing.
Pros: -Breakfast not included-- Its located right near the harbor and more importantly to the St . Pierre ferry embarkation. The rooms are actually on the second floor of the building . The first floor is store of some kind which was being renovated when I stayed there There is a common kitchen which is of good size and well equipped and a common den/dining area which is large There are 5 bedrooms on the second floor. My stay was in early May so I was alone and had the whole place to myself However , and this is my opinion ,it could get a little crowded and loud when all the rooms are full-think hostel --For one night it worked for me . Also if you drive there and have a late afternoon ferry go over to Grand Banks and eat at Sharon's Nook
Cons: I thought the price was high for the time of season -but not many options
Pros: Facilities, comfort, and personnel
Pros: Hotel condition and parking.
Pros: Nice location and comfy home
Pros: All was good.
Cons: All was good
Pros: It was great to arrive like we were at home. Met some great people that we also staying there.
Cons: Coffee machine was spilling water and coffee all over the floor
