Pros: The hotel is in a beautiful old style Manor House with really interesting decor and antiques. The gardens are beautiful with chickens and a goat. There was storage for our bikes which was handy as we were cycling across Brittany. Our host spoke English very well and was really friendly. We opted for dinner at the hotel as there’s not much around the rural area without a car, however we were glad we did as it was lovely and we met a French family and tried to practise our French! The breakfast was great with bread and fresh croissant and pastries. The beds were comfy and the facilities in the room were clean. We recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to Brain Sur Villaine. 9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. Lovely location.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Room is superb (we stayed at the ground level), very clean and with all the facilities. The owner is absolutely charming and it was a pleasure to have a chat with her. She cooks crepes with apple for breakfast which is something you must not miss. She caters for gluten-free people also. Nice place to stay, including a very well maintained garden and a swimming pool. You just need some sun to appreciate all of it. Now, this place is rather in the middle of nowhere. Very quiet and great to listen to birds. The drawback is for dinner/supper as the place has no catering services except for BKFST. But and this is a plus, there is a room upstairs with some sofa and a kitchenette (fridge, microwave, and a hobb). Either buy some food before going there OR the owner has anticipated that and provides pasta and Bolognese sauce for a very modest price.
Cons: Nothing at all, we had a pleasant stay
