Pros: Hosts were very attentive, house was clean and finished to a very high standard. Evening meal and breakfast were superb. Would have liked an extra day for exploring the village more but still perfect location for an overnight stop whilst travelling North to South!
Pros: We had a lovely , friendly welcome - excellent dinner , drinks on the terrace in the evening sun , a large spacious room , a building and village full of history ( our hosts hold the key to the ancient church 100 yards away ) - such a positive experience all round . 15 minutes from the Motorway , either north or south , and 5 hours including a coffee break to Calais . Breakfast was superb , our hosts really understand the business they are in and seek more languages than are required ! Wonderful , hence the rating .
Cons: More teabags in the room perhaps but we are struggling to find negatives .
Pros: It was a great location, very convenient for our route and yet beautifully secluded. Also a great bed for a really comfortable nights sleep!
Pros: We arrived on motorbike and immediately welcomed by our host. The house is in a beautiful, quiet location and has many of the original fittings. The hosts have done a remarkable job restoring the house with perfect balance of modern luxuries alongside the original style. The room was huge with big windows and a variety of seating and furnishings. Separate adjoining private bathroom and toilet. The double bed was one of these electrically adjustable beds which was a great comfort after spending days riding the motorbike. The evening dinner was made by the hosts and it was absolutely fantastic (I strongly recommend you have the dinner) it also gave us a chance to meet the other guests and share stories. Beautiful house, wonderful hosts, great food. Highly recommended.
Pros: Overnight stay en route to Lyon. Probably the best furnished and cared for place we have ever stayed. The bedroom is beautifully furnished and boasts a king size orthopaedic bed in addition to the immaculate furnishings. The bathroom / toilet is of equal quality. The dining room is fully panelled, beautifully restored and a pleasure to eat our delightful evening meal and breakfast there. Mine hosts are absolutely charming - speak impeccable English and even personalised our evening meal to leave out the garlic we do not get on with. Too short a stay but thoroughly recommended if you like quality. It's of such a standard I wouldn't let strangers in if it were mine!
Cons: Nothing - everything perfect. Even 'can be difficult to find' was incorrect - the SatNav found it precisely
Pros: Our hosts were exceptional in meeting our needs. They were attentive, friendly, knowledgeable about the area and the beautiful manor house they had restored. The food was gourmet and presented beautifully. We would not hesitate to stay there again
With a stay at Le Relais du Puits in Pressigny, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Pays de la Vannerie Tourism Office and La Cure Des Arts. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Probably the best B&B we stayed at in Europe.
Pros: This is the most perfect "Chambre d'Hote" we have found over many years exploring France. Luxurious, comfortable and with excellent facilities. Dinner was exceptional and showcased the local produce, as did the substantial breakfast too. The hosts are very friendly but unobtrusive when required. We did miss the superb honey we've had there before but the bees had a very bad time last year - but the home-made yogurts almost compensated.
Cons: Impossible to say what could be improved.
Pros: Cosy, warm, immaculate, the hosts were very helpful, food is delicious.
Pros: Superb breakfast, comfortable room, friendly and helpful hosts - who recommended a wonderful restaurant where I had an outstanding evening meal.
Pros: Everything! Room was clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable and quiet, with great amenities. Situated in lovely little village. Hosts were charming and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing! Would highly recommend this property.
Pros: An excellent stop over. We stayed here overnight whilst travelling to the South of France. A great location, very clean and spacious. Hosts could not be more helpful We had a family room - which was perfect. We were towing a trailer, so they let us store this in their Garage without concern. We also had a small dog - which again was no problem. We had asked for an evening meal (€20 per head). Great home cooking, absolutely delicious, and accommodated our gluten free dietary requirements with clear knowledge and understanding. (Gluten Free bread at evening meal, and Gluten Free bread and Brioche for breakfast). Highly recommend. We will be back
Pros: good breakfast pleasant equipment of the house

Pros: A warm welcome - the use of a full kitchen and dining room was very useful to us. Very easy to find ftom the autoroute. Quiet location in a small village. Langres a few miles up the road well worth a visit. Good breakfast included in the price.
Pros: The owner is super nice and the place is in a very calm and quiet area
Cons: Breakfast is good, but only breads and cakes. Could add some fruits, ham and cheese.
Pros: Spacious, nice room with comfortable beds.

Pros: This beautifully refurbished building has clearly been a labour of love for the owners, Eglys and Lauren. We were given an exceptionally warm welcome on a very wet October evening. Our room was spacious, comfortable and delightfully furnished with a separate lounge area for relaxation, which we truly welcomed after a long drive from Italy. We slept very well and were treated to the most amazing breakfast experience the following morning. No detail had been missed. Everything was faultless. The situation of the hotel is simply perfect for exploring the beautiful town of Langres. Sadly we were unable to walk the city walls and streets due to the inclement weather ... so we will therefore definitely return in the spring on our way back to Greece through Europe. Thank you again to our wonderful hosts. We left with joyous hearts after experiencing your kindness and care.
Cons: We loved everything. Even the parking was NOT a problem as described by other guests. .....if you know how to manoeuvre your vehicle with confidence the space is adequate.
Pros: Our second and no less enjoyable visit to the Remparts. Loren is a lovely & engaging host running a rather eclectic & homely style hotel in a fairly central location of Langres, all of which contributed to our return visit. While a restaurant is not on site, you do not have far to walk for various choices. A delicious breakfast is personally served with fabulous views over the French countryside. Our rooms were clean, light & individually decorated. Bathroom spotlessly clean & exactly as viewed on the website. I am an above knee amputee & our request for a shower seat was not met with a plastic chair but a totally fit for purpose safety stool. Completely appreciate the effort made by Loren in providing this very specific tool! We really enjoy the family feel to Des Remparts - pets, children, people, home style - fabulous!
Cons: Nothing to dislike. Exactly as advertised on the website.
Pros: Super breakfast wonderful room comphy bed great hosts. The body hanging from the hall cealing by rope the two foot spider, bloody footsteps on the staircase, and the hosts spectacular designer trousers and dont forget the dog!
Cons: More blood on the stairs would have been good.
Pros: Charming house, real character, excellent views and a warm welcome. Langres is a hidden gem. A wonderful circular walk on the old walls is a great way to take in the views and to get to know this little town.
Pros: great hosts, lovely big room and owners very helpful and a first class breakfast
Pros: Lovely French traditional hotel maintained in its original style. Very spacious room with great views inc sunrise... Helpfull English speaking owner. Lovely start to a French holiday.
Pros: Lovely breakfast with a fantastic view!

Pros: Nice clean room in quiet location
Cons: Check-in time window a bit narrow
Pros: The breakfast was very good. Delicious fresh bread, pain au chocolate, jam, egg etc. The bathroom was phenomenal and the host was fantastic too- very helpful and friendly. For us this was intended as a convenient stop-over on the way home- but the place and service made it feel like it was still a holiday!
Cons: There was nothing to dislike. This property exceeded expectations
Pros: The location is Lovely and easy to gate there , room nice and comfortable. Recommend to everyone
Pros: Attention to detail was fantastic, lots of character and breakfast on the terrace.
Cons: Everything was fine.

Pros: Great breakfast, large rooms and lots of extras you may use freely. E.g. sauna, massage chair, pool table, .....
Cons: Difficult to find a restaurant nearby which was open on Sunday evening. The 2 recommend where closed.
Pros: Estelle was so welcoming and helpful, enjoying practising her English on us. A property steeped in history, but modern and clean. She laid on a superb breakfast using homemade and local products and also happily booked a table for dinner for us in the next village 5 minutes drive away. Added bonus was the pool, sauna and massage chair! Ample off road parking safe and secure. A lovely sleepy village. We didn't get to meet Estelle's farmer husband, but thank you Estelle for your company and kindness.
When you stay at Le Vauxois in Vaux-sous-Aubigny, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Castle of Prauthoy. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Breakfast good, restaurant very high quality (a nice surprise) Convenient location for travelling from south to north
Pros: Friendly receptionist and owner. Charming building. Large and good bathroom with good shower. Restaurant good, home made food and very friendly staff. Also charming interior. Pretty very little village. Good parking before church or inside the walls. Excellent for a stopover.
Cons: Extra pillows, only one. Nothing in village if you come earlier.
Pros: Large, very clean spacious room in a recently modernised hotel, lots of interesting features. Helpful staff and secure parking in a pretty forecourt. Village location with small supermarket, restaurants and bakers. Easy access from Autoroute, Intermarche for fuel just north of the village. If you don't wish to use the hotel for dinner & breakfast, we strongly recommend Aux Badineurs for cheap, home cooked meals (I believe it's only open on certain days - we were there on a Friday) and Ronde des Pains Boulangerie (Next door to Aux Badineurs) for their "formula" petit dejuner and stocking up with filled baguettes for the onward journey.
Cons: Second floor rooms are in the roof with no air conditioning or shutters on the windows (fans are provided). No elevator so potentially a long walk if you have lots of luggage. Opposite church so no need to set an alarm if you wish to wake up at 7:00 (I believe the chimes were silent from 11:00 to 7:00)
Pros: Cleanliness of rooms was superb. Nice modern furnishings. Quiet and tranquil location with excellent linked restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful. Perfect relaxing break during a long and gruelling road trip.
Cons: Choice at breakfast was fairly limited and no discount for children
Pros: Excellent bed, great shower, wonderful food, good (french) breakfast. We will stay here again
Pros: Comfortable bed, very clean, great staff and great parking.
Cons: Garden was scruffy and house is ugly.
Pros: Spacious bedrooms, good continental breakfast, easy access going north/south from A31
Cons: Unfortunately hotel restaurant was closed the night we stayed, the hotel told us the day before.
Le Cheval Blanc hotel is located in the heart of the historical city Langres, on the road to the south of France and the Alps. It offers rooms with satellite TV. Guest rooms in the former Abbey are individually decorated and have Wi-Fi internet access. Some of the rooms are located in the annexe building just 10 metres from the main building. Le Cheval Blanc hotel also has a restaurant which serves seasonal dishes, which can be enjoyed on the large terrace. For guests coming by car, parking is available.
Pros: Superb and well presented
Cons: Nothing!!!1. Couldn’t have been more delightful
Pros: Excellent old town location. Friendly and unpretentious, high level of care.
Pros: Nice room. Central to Langres. Friendly welcome .
Cons: Breakfast manager was very unwelcoming. We sat down at a table that was free and made up for breakfast. the table was then cleared for no reason and we were moved without any words spoken to us while we were getting t breakfast ! The table we had been sitting at for 2 people was then laid for lunch - so we were moved to another table which seated 4 people. It was an odd thing to do at 9:45 when breakfast was still in service. Check out with the female catering manager was efficient if not particularly friendly.
Pros: Breakfast was OK
Pros: An excellent location and splendid cuisine
Cons: The stairs
Pros: We travel to Switzerland regularly and Langres is exactly halfway. This hotel just gets better and better. The restaurant is truly amazing with a very good wine list. The staff are all very professional but really friendly. The beds are really comfortable. Everything is brilliant!!
Cons: Old cliche but leaving. Good news is its on our way home.
When you stay at Auberge des Voiliers in Peigney, you'll be 7 minutes by car from Langres Cathedral. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Food in restaurant, chef excellent. Parking close to hotel. Overall service by staff overall.
Cons: Very small room and bathroom. Difficult to shower as limited mobility. Restricted menu in restaurant. Limited choice at breakfast
Pros: The bed was very comfy and sheets luxurious. Air con was a welcome.
Cons: The room was smaller than expected and sink was too small to wash or clean teeth properly without banging our heads. Breakfast which was extra £10 per person was ok but the staff were a bit fugal with the milk.
Pros: Breakfast good, bedroom a bit small, bed hard against wall on one side. View from room and surroundings excellent. Food prices a bit steep, Overall 8/10. Would go there again.
Cons: Size of bedroom.
Pros: Les Voiliers is a delightful small hotel on the edge of a reservoir/lake. The rooms are simply decorated and furnished but very clean. There is air conditioning which was very necessary on the evening I arrived in a temperature of 33 degrees. The bedroom which I had, number 4, had a small balcony with a lovely view over the lake. Dinner in the restaurant was of a very high standard of cuisine. The waitresses were all efficient, charming and polite. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of products. The hotel does not have private parking on site. However, there seems to be adequate free parking available in the municipal parking just forty yards from the hotel across the road.
Cons: Nothing at all!
Pros: Our family room (actually two rooms) was very comfortable. The welcome was lovely with a host that spoke perfect English. The food was delicious.
Pros: Breakfast a little on the expensive side.
Cons: No complaints-but there have been changes of ownership over the years we have been staying here.
Pros: We were very satisfied, very nice location on the lake, a very good extensive breakfast buffet, very clean and very friendly staff. We'll be back again. Lg Boden Katrin

Pros: Breakfast is fine, location is perfect, right in the heart of the town. Secure parking which needs to be booked first. Lovely old building, very typical French. We love it. Have stayed there before and I'm sure I will again. In fact I have booked to stay there again on our return journey from Austria.
Cons: Everything was fine.
Pros: Good breakfast selection, private parking at the rear of the hotel. Convenient hotel for stop-over on route to either the Alps or South of France. The hotel takes dogs, so that it an advantage. Cost effective hotel with bed, breakfast and evening meal!
Cons: Not a big issue at all, but maybe the dinner could have been served a little bit quicker - but again the hotel was busy and the restaurant was pretty full. Certainly not a complaint, more an observation.
Pros: Lovely old style French hotel in the heart of town. Lovely room, good breakfast and secure parking.
Cons: All was fine.
Pros: Croissants where fresh and flaky.hotelin great location.
Cons: Menu could be improved, each year it seems to have less selection.would be easier if they had photos of food on menu ,
Pros: very warm atmosphere parking in the building
Cons: room ok also very quite to backyard but toilet too small in room nr 5
Pros: Calm and sraight forward sevice
Cons: The menus displayed in the windows were almost poor quality enough to dissuade me from dining. However the actual service and food quality were perfectly good!
Pros: The staff was very friendly. We also had diner (excellent) and breakfast (very good with lots of choices).
Pros: Great location, rest of staff friendly and helpful. Parking on-site though best to pre-book. Nice evening meal on-site. Fair pricing. Would we re-visit? Yes we would.

Located in Saints-Geosmes, Logis Jum'Hotel is in a rural location, within a 10-minute drive of Silière Gardens and Langres Cathedral. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Easy hotel for a quick stay in Langres. We had the breakfast both mornings which was more of a continental style but worth it. Staff was very nice and spoke English.
Cons: Was only bummed that the hotel pool had odd hours because of cleaning. Was hoping to swim in the morning but that didn’t work.
Pros: Basic rooms, but suit for purpose for a night sleep en route. 24 hour check-in through key box was nice. Not too far from the highway.
Cons: We arrived after recepetion closed. We could get in but had to leave our car outside of the fence.
Pros: Very convenient for overnight stop. Next to a good restaurant, reasonably priced. Car parking on premises. Dogs are welcome. We have stayed here a few times now and consider it good value for money.
Cons: This time although the bedroom was clean, there was a smell of stale smoke. Even the bed linen was holding the smell.
Cons: We got charged extra for breakfast and you told us it was included with our pay but we gave more money.
Pros: Clean and neat room; everything working OK. Floors freshly mobbed, some hairs remained.
Cons: Small rooms and a small breakfast/bar area. As it was raining, the bar area was too crowded in the late afternoon. No agreement with the "partner" restaurant next door, we had to drive down town for dinner. No room for our car in the closed parking area when we returned.
Pros: Quick check-in and checkout. Clean. Good shower. Good breakfast. Fenced parking lot. For us a perfect location halfway our trip. Had dinner at the grill next door.
Cons: Room and beds very small. Busy traffic on the road in front from around 6:30 AM.

Cons: Nothing negative
Located in Langres, Hotel de La Poste is within a 15-minute drive of Langres Cathedral and Silière Gardens. Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and laundry facilities. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Comfortable and clean rooms.
Cons: The staff were rude and unhelpful, we were shouted at for taking a telephone call in the dining room and for having a vape that we had no intention of using inside the premises. This place is overpriced for the facilities that are available. Shower did not work properly.
Pros: Very good
Cons: Staff and the breakfast
Pros: Diner was superb incl the wine Pool wasnice aswell
Cons: Bit old fashionista and Carrer on the Floor atracks fust
Pros: Centrally located inside the old town. Good secure private parking. Nice breakfast.
Cons: Noxious odours from the shower drain. No tea/coffee facilities in the room. Didnt like the threats in the info leaflet. Eg fine for missing towels 70 euros, fine for smoking 300euros, eating in room forbidden. Fortunately we dont smoke or steal towels! Restaurant expensive but plenty of options nearby. Staff function OK but dont expect a smile.
Pros: The building is very nice, historical and you feel you're back in time. The hotel appeared clean as did the room
Cons: The dinner was overpriced and not clearly listed. We've been charged 14€ for half litre of house wine which wasn't even really good when a bottle of red was 26€ (which wasn't good either). Another 5€ extra just to change the sauce on the steak (the waitress didn't said that it was an extra charge). When I pointed out at the reception that it didn't make much sense that the house wine was more expensive than the bottle on the menu and 5 euros for the chef just to top a steak with one sauce or another was just ridiculous the lady said pretty rudely that it wasn't her fault if the waitress didn't tell us about the sauce and that the price of the house wine was on the list, my fault I didn't check (it wasn't on the peicelist). It was really disappointing. I wouldn't stay there again just because of the attitude. Although it is listed on booking.com, be aware that the parking area is 8€ extra. The room although nice, there was no soap on the dispenser and the light didn't work as you went through the door, and it was dark
Pros: Traditional French hotel, interesting food,
between Champagne and Burgundy in a small village between Langres and Dijon and between exits 5 and 6 of the A31 motorway, our property offers a romantic, quiet and authentic. Pros: Situated in very nice green park Large room with nice view Nice bathroom (no douche) Friendly host - made reservation in nice restaurant in neighbourhood
Cons: Swimmingpool out of use (very green/not clean) Beds are not good and too short for large people Expensive given few facilities working in the garden.
Pros: Decor was just as we expected. Spotlessly clean
Pros: None, They charged me double and it has not been solved. I still look forward to their response.
Pros: Lovely historical chateau, expansive grounds
Cons: Property and grounds were not at its best in terms of older pictures
Pros: Charming château hidden away in its park. A very wam welcome from our hosts and we arrived just in time for dinner, which was all homemade with local produce. Delicious ! Despite being near the railway, our room was very quiet and comfortable. Reading the negative comments about the restaurant I think it’s important that people understand that they are booking a “chambres d’hote” with tables d’hôtes not a 24/24 hotel. Understandably if only one room is rented then the kitchen may not be open so I would advise to call before you arrive. Don’t get put off by the negative comments it was delightful !!
Pros: We booked this property to attend an event in Dijon and stayed a couple of nights
Cons: Restaurant not open even when I asked in advance of the booking if we were OK for a meal reading previous reviews. Pool not in operation either Tidy but tired rooms with zero water pressure in shower At £150 a night I expected better
Pros: We left after 10 minutes after booking for 2 nights . Place had an air of neglect and advertised restaurant did not exist .
Cons: Did not wait to find out more. Spoke to owner to cancel our 2 night booking as we had driven 375 miles and no food as advertised, indeed was told by owner to try next village for something to eat. Owner has taken 2 nights payment from us regardless. Currently not refunded .

Cons: Quality of the beds
Located in Langres, Hôtel Inn Design Langres Resto Novo is a 4-minute drive from Langres Cathedral and 8 minutes from Silière Gardens. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice little Hotel
Cons: Room is very small
Pros: The room was clean and the bed confortable.
Cons: I didn't like the restaurent. The salade was not clean (still sandy)
Pros: Convenient location
Cons: Neglect in bathroom. Poor breakfast selection with flies walking on food. Poor evening menu.
Pros: Budget hotel with all the basics but nothing more. Perfect for a one night stop when on the road. The staff is very friendly! The beds sleep well and although the bathroom is very tiny, it's clean and has all the facilities you need. There were no products like shampoo … so don't forget to bring them yourself. In the shower is a soap dispenser. We didn't have breakfast but we did eat at the restaurant upon our arrival in the evening. Same here: budget friendly, very basic but not bad at all. So we would probably stop here again.
Cons: The room didn't smell so fresh. But we left the window open for half an hour to let in some fresh air.
Pros: This a a great stopover place and have been staying here for years..it is now a little expensive
Cons: The pillow covers appeared not to have been changed but the lady on reception changed them for me The restaurant was also closed which was disappointing.
When you stay at Chez Françoise in Bannes, you'll be 9 minutes by car from Langres Cathedral. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Dinner and breakfast was good.
Cons: Old rooms, they need renovation. You can hear all the noises from he stairs, from outside, if somebody go to wc....
Pros: Good stopover. Staff very helpful. Dinner available on site in the restaurant
Pros: The restaurant is good. Not your normal hotel bar /restaurant, but nicely prepared local food.
Cons: As indicated in other reviews, the place has thin walls. But we had double glass windows in room 1 at the front of the hotel. Didn't have noise problems at night. It is an old hotel and the rooms are also not in a good condition. But is was clean enough and just right for the low price.
Pros: The staff were helpful.
Cons: Hotel was not up to par as advertised.
Pros: Beds and bathroom were clean
Cons: The noise of all the traffic in the night . They came true the village. We had room number 2. The rest of the room was not very clean. Beds were to small for us. The photos on the website looks more positive.
Pros: Nice staff and clean room.
Cons: Hotel located near a rather noisy street. I recommend not to leave any belongings in the car when parked across the street (we were robbed during the night.
Pros: The food in the restaurant was delicious. The property was nicely decorated. Bed was comfortable. The building was quirky. Plenty of parking space. Easy reach of the autoroute.s
Cons: The room was very, very small. Just 2 sachets containing shower gel. The room containing the toilet was tiny, barely space to enter. No space in our room for the dog's bed. Wouldn't stay again.
Pros: Food was of a good standard
Cons: Room small and cramped. View over the flat roof kitchen was very poor good wi
