Grandeur of the Seas, operated by Royal Caribbean Int. was launched in 1996 and holds up to 2,400 passengers, with 802 crew members onboard. The cruise ship caters to all ages, with fantastic facilities for children and adults alike. Journeys encompass the southern Caribbean, Canada and the USA. Popular itineraries range from 7 to 12 nights and ports of call include Antigua, St.Maarten, Halifax and Portland. Shore excursions are a highlight and guests can experience snorkeling with tropical fish in Bridgetown, Barbados, the historic Freedom Trail in Boston, Massachusetts and the history of NASA in Port Canaveral, Florida. Cabins onboard Grandeur of the Seas cater to all ages and there are rooms designed for families. There are five types of cabins available, including interior staterooms, ocean view staterooms, balcony cabins, junior suites and suites. The Royal Suite is the most prestigious, at 1,119-square-feet with a 128-square-foot balcony. It comes complete with a whirlpool bathtub, baby grand piano, a big living room with a double-sized sofa bed, and a king-sized bed in a separate bedroom. There are six restaurants on the ship, with 24-hour room service also available. Guests can also enjoy a coffee break at one of the cafes. Cocktails, premium liqueur, and vintage wines are aplenty in a range of bars and lounges. Fantastic entertainment is a popular feature, including West End-style productions and an onboard casino. Daytime activities include spa treatments, swimming, running, and rock climbing, with specific organised fun for children, ensuring everyone is occupied at sea.
