Beautiful hotel - very convenient location -nice stay!
Ambience of the hotel, good to have an individual hotel rather than mass produced.Excellent swimming pool. Easy access to walking trails. Excellent dinner buffet, though a bit expensive. Staff very helpful. Proximity to road and railway caused marginal disturbance, but outweighed by other factors.
The location and view. Fabulous breakfast and staff.
I love this hotel-just jump on the train-very friendly staff and very good service when I asked to change the room
Nice place, standard equipment but correct. Nice people at the reception desk. They couldn't find our reservation, but as there were free rooms, there was no problem.
Good location with scenic views. Enjoyed boat hire with reasonable cost.
Nice view over Eidfjord and lake from the restaurant. Personell is trying to make something of it. To expensive for what you get. Hotel is quite dated. Not really mountainview rooms. Thin walls in the rooms. Beds are small and not good. Just enough food for breakfast. Orangejuicemachine broken. I don't know how other hotels are in this place, but I wouldn't recommend this one.
If u need to stay around eidfjord it's a really good choice!!
good place, quite, good service
The hotel receives too many travel groups during summer time. Some of the rooms are too close to the 'busy' elevator, which are very noizy even in late evenings. There aren't many choices for dinner buffet or breakfast, as there are mainly prepared for travel groups.
Beautiful place, near waterfalls. Very kind staff. Nice old-fashioned little lounge with fireplace. Good breakfast and tasty dinner.
The staff was very pleasant and ready to help when needed.
Fantastic old hotel in the wilderness. Amazing location. Very historic. Rooms are a little run-down and bathroom was very small. But they were still very comfortable and the plus points made up for it.
We did not like this old hotel that there is nothing to do there and around -- will not come again
Possibly the best hotel I have ever encountered in 21 years of business trips to Scandinavia! And excellent value, too
Even when the internet should have been accessible only in public areas, it was possible to connect in one part of the room. Surroundings of the hotel were beautiful. Interesting history of the hotel - also documented in the lobby. Very good dinner - both food and service. Nothing
The Fossli Hotel has an exellent location near the waterfall. Also it's the most convenient hotel for tourists who are travelling by car. Staying at the Fossli Hotel, you feel yourself very close to nature, its beauty. It's brilliant that the history is preserved at the hotel. We loved this silient peaceful hotel and will be glad to visit it again!
I liked the position of the hotel, the old style, the nice touches like the fireplace, piano, etc. Claudiu from the cafeteria was very helpful in making us feel at home. The waterfall of course is amazing and the view from the hotel just great. First room that was given to us was bad, although they had other rooms free that were looking much better.
Courtesy of the staff. Spectacular setting overlooking a deep canyon from our rooom and overlooking a dramatic waterfall.
nice view from the terrace all the other things: rooms, restaurant and first of the all very high price for nothing
Excellent. Clean , comfort, with a good view waterfront. The breakfast is excellent too. I will live in this hostel next time.
The view is magnificent! Top spot! The buffet breakfast was plentiful! Good variety and organic produce as well! Top marks! It's a hostel afterall, so sleeping quarters and bathroom facilities are basic but definitely decent and sufficient!
Views, tasty food in organic restaurant, proximity to lake, friendly staff Small bathroom with disfunctional shower curtain, tired appearance of rooms
Location and room facilities and cleanliness Transfer services from nearest railway station could be provided. Not sure if it is already there, as I drove to the hotel.
The frame house is very nice. It is on the top of a small hill. You can see the amazing landscape of Noway from your window.
Very nice apartments, new, everything there which is needed for the stay. Nice view of the outstanding surrounding. Friendly receptionist. Bed Linen and cleaning costs extra and was not mentioned during the booking process
we stayed there in summer, location - middle of mounting slope, fantastic landscape view from the apartment and balcony. You can sit on the balcony and gaze on the slope and a river in the valley for hours. Apartment had excellent equipment - everything at the kitchen, washer, sauna, etc. strange, but you pay for bedding at reception, bring it to the apartment yourself, do your bed, on departure - bring it back to the reception.
Like being at home :) It would be a good idea to have your own bed-linen with you, helps to pay for about one third of total amount less :) We were travelling with 4 persons and stayed only for one night, which probably is the reason.
