Swimming pool and spa were very good. I think lounch and dinner were expensive for us.
The hotel was very clean and they had a bed for our 3 year old daughter and a crib for our son. There should be more English written brochures for things to do and where to go.
fantastic breakfast, various offer of possibilities for the good and the bad weather
Staff was extremely courteous and friendly - practically everyone was ready with a greeting. The rooms were very quiet, spacious and modern, the sauna area good, an excellent breakfast buffet. Lake Chiem is only about a 15 minute drive away, and the mountains are practically in the back yard. The hotel is very family- and pet-friendly. WiFi was too expensive (though brief use for free was available in the lobby). The quality of the restaurant for dinner was disappointing - we ordered a la carte, but the dishes were overpriced and did not really correspond to the description in the menu. Most people seemed to choose the buffet. The swimming pools were not really usable for a halfway serious workout, as they were mostly in the posession of the kids.
Size of the room and common areas of the hotel (restaurant, loby). There was no airconditioning in the room.
Super hotel, conveniently located to the sites we wanted to visit. Staff was friendly & helpful.
Dinner is very poor but expensive
beautifull hotel, friendly owneress, very nice breakfast difficult to find, especially at night
Excellent facilities and food, superb vista from all windows, very friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Very friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure our stay was most enjoyable. None
very good hotel. nice breakfast. the room is quiet and clean. good beer as well
The Gasthof is in a very actractive village setting, the room was newly refurbished to a high standard and was immaculately clean. The restaurant was very popular with local people and we found the food to be of excellent quality. We were travelling to Italy and it proved to be an ideal stop-over just 10 mins from the Autobahn. No
The whole experience was wonderful wish we had stayed there longer.
Nice staff, completely renovated rooms, great location. Highly recommended if you want a nice, quiet hotel in the Bavarian country side.
Wonderful location, calm and quiet, like villages used to be in the old days. Place for kids to play. Flowers, trees, nice terrasse and restaurant with splendid food. Friendly welcome and great value for money. We will come again. Rooms were modern, so don't expect a traditional old style. They were a bit basic but clean and comfortable. No bath, but shower was fine.
Quiet idyllic location. Well appointed room, especially bathroom. Good restaurant frequented by locals. Cheerful staff.
No remark, everything was OK. I would recomend GPS for help to find a hotel, in my case road was closed, because of reconstruction and evening arriving, GPS was very helpful.
Peaceful location Restaurant and bar were closed and we were not told before or after we booked
Spectacular view, great staff, very accommodating, delicious dinner. Wished the room had better lighting so that one could read in bed. Bulbs were too low watts.
Wonderful setting, excellent food, great starting point for walks in the Bavarian mountains. Good place also for people who simply want to relax.
The hotel is located on a beautiful area and the staff was very friendly and polite. I definitely recommend it.
The silence and excellent panorama view from hotel gives very good filling. Good breakfest. Absence of lift. Poor WiFi in the room.
The views, the feeling of being away from crowds, the gemuetlichtkeit
Fantastic environment and view, nice and cosy.
It was set in a very pretty hillside location and the staff were all extremely helpful & friendly.
Warm welcome, good service and accommodation for our pets, fine service in the restaurant and a good breakfast. The elevator was out of service.
First, we were never informed that Tuesday ist ein"ruhigtag" and that no one would be at the desk when we arrive, Second the message was only in German that they were closed on Tuesday-need English as well Third I had to quess whether keys for Walter were for me my name is Scott, at breakfast there was no name place for Walter just Walker and no, it is in a wonderful location away from noise and a lovely setting pastures, cows, and view of the lake.
friendly staff, good food
Excellent location. Quiet even in rooms on street side. Manager very accommodating and friendly. Restaurant was excellent.
Welcoming very helpful Edglish speaking staff. Good restuarant with wide choice and staff who made you feel special, were fun and could not do enoughto assist. Room was pleasant and very clean. The hotel was quirky in its decor but that was part of the charm. Excellent deserves more than 2 stars. It was on a busy junction. The town was deserted in the evening.
It was a very nice and friendly family run hotel. The staff was very helpful with directions and did everything they could to provide us with a very pleasant stay No elevator but the steps are very wide and easy to use with luggage
A nice and fair hotel at affordable price. Friendly staff and good service. Good restaurant with nice food
Very Friendly Staff. Nice breakfast. Amazing views from our room.
staff good food and exellent weiss beer no
Very Helpful staff Only one of the staff could speak English
The Gasthof provided excellent meal service
Nice place, convinient room, good breakfast, considerate kind staff. We arrived late, and they tried to call us to let us know they leave a key for us outside... Nothing.
Attentive owner/chef was friendly and helpful, and spoke English. In the adjoining restaurant, he took time to translate and elaborate on every item on the German-only menu. The restaurant offered tasty gourmet cooking in a quaint romantic setting. A small, free parking lot is located in front of the hotel/restaurant. Directly across the parking lot is a convenient Penny market for groceries and snacks. The hotel is a good overnight stopping point for Chiemsee visitors and it was convenient to have a breakfast nook/table with benches in our bedroom. An outdoor dining patio directly overlooks into the windows on one wall of our second floor bedroom. Furnishings are a bit dated.
The staff was incredibly nice and always willing to help! This was much more than you could expect. Even the fodd was surprisingly good!
Free car park, helpful and friendly staff, breakfast was better than average for hotels in this price range. bedroom and bath small but common in hotels in Europe.
The excellent atmosphere created by the hosts and the pure Bavarian style.
The owner was very helpful with me and my baby.
everything great, very nice restaurant, wi-fi internet in the room
I was here before eight months and again stay happy ,everythings was a good level !!!
Friendly, great food, lovely rooms. Overall very impressed and will use again.
Hotel Alte Post is an excellent choice. We used it as a stopover between scandinavia and Italy. Good location, friendly staff and clean room. I recommend this hotel!
Everything was good! Hygiene and food were at high level
I liked the unique place of the hotel and its lovely atmosphere.
This is a beautiful historic building that is now a lovely warm welcoming hotel. Very clean and very spacious apartment, and we felt very at home. In the summer they have a out-door grill & salad bar in the beer garden which was better than any 5 star restaurant could offer. A lovely place to relax and unwind on our drive to Salzburg/Vienna.
Location and the staff
This hotel was very good and had spacious rooms by Eiuropean standards. The atmosphere and friendliness of personnel was also very positive. Newly renovated, very clean and well located.
This was our second stay at this traditional Bavarian hotel which has been run by the same family for over 150 years. A very impressive spa has been recently added to the swimming pool and their 'Zen' garden is well laid out. Food and service is excellent. Alps, skiing, golf etc all near and local railway station serves Salzburg and Munich. Very good value for money overall.
Nice hotel in the middle of Ruhpolding. Nothing really wrong with the hotel. The male receptionist who checked us in after midnight was very good. Has a smoking bar which is not at all pleasant to be around. Charge for the internet....why?
The Helpfuln Staff No Shower in room-just a bath
It is a nice, family-run hotel, excellent spa facilities and huge comfortable rooms. The problem is that the staff hardly speak English or want to make an effort when you ask. luckily I still remeber a bit of German from school but some of the staff could be a bit friendlier and add a smile on the face
wellness area unfriendlyness of staff, breakfast
The hotel is a country inn, really designed for longer stays. The room was nice, with a balcony. The restaurant was not open on a Sunday, so had to venture to the village very close.
the staff was very friendly and the room was extremely comfortable. Having a balcony was definitely a plus.
My husband and I we loved how they treated us. They asked question every day if everything was ok, if the food was ok, and if they can do anything to make us happier. It was wonderful how they treat people there. Especially the chef who was speaking english and helped us with a lots of things. He was a super nice man. There was nothing we didn't like. We loved everything:-)))!!!!!!!
Our room was spacious and very well kept up. We opted for a room without bathroom - the ones in the hall were very clean and the shower was great. The breakfast was very good and Franz and the staff were gracious. We ended up changing our mind and staying 2 nights,
The room and the breakfast was excellent. Hotel was ok to find with a SatNav. There are some nice walks around the hotel. Nice from our room type.
Stuff, good food
good prices and very kind people...
staff very helpful lovely location
Very friendly staff. Hotel and restaurant in very typical bavarian style. Beautiful view of the mountains from the room.
nice place and verey friendly the people off the hotel transportation from the hotel to the railway station it need hotel car to make it easy for the gustes to go to visit some other places in the area
Great location; family atmosfere.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the meals were excellent and the situation was perfect. Nothing
Clean and traditional Housekeeping and maintenance staff ignored do not disturb signs on a daily basis. Very unsettling!
Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bedding and the room was warm. The staff made us feel welcome. No.
The room was very nice. The "free" extra parking and tourist card was unexpected, but great.
In the main the staff were very friendly - I was only disappointed with the attitude of one of the members of staff - a waiter who served breakfast - unfortunately he found it difficult to even respond to a smile. See above
huge comfortable room bar closed all of one day
The weather. We had stayed here many times before. We had booked in on the day the restaurant was closed therefore the reception clossed at 8.00pm. Went to breakfast the next morning we were not on thee lit and such a fuss was made, and we were made to feel like thatt we were trying to get something for nothing. And the breakfast was nothing to write home about.
flexibility in chefs program and careness for the guests
Good value, convenient, beautiful location and friendly staff. As the gateway to the Tyrol it is perfect
The hotel was in a beatiful area with lovely views. A very good standard and excellent breakfast and restaurant. On arrival there was no one to recieve us - just a key left in an envelope with no explanation - just our name. There was no one around who appeared to speak any english. The overall impression was that this was a High Standard 'Corporate Type' Hotel which was just out to fill some spare beds during the 'low season'. There was absolutely no sense of personal 'customer care'. Having said that - we would use this hotel again because, functionally it suited our purpose for visiting Chiemsee.
Friendly staff, good food, nice room
The Seishof is up on the hillside in a rural area, but still only about a 2-3 minute drive to Bernau am Chiemsee zentrum........location is very nice and quiet.......excellent veiw of the lake. It's about a 5-10 minute drive to Priem am Chiemsee to get on the ferry boat for HerrenChiemsee. The staff, the breakfast buffet, and the room rate were all excellent......I would definitely recommend the Seiserhof.
Beautiful views to the lake, big spacious room (although we think we were upgraded as we had booked a room with balcony and initially were put in a room with no balcony). Even though English very limited, staff were friendly and smiley. I think the room may have been closed up for the season as it was missing most knives, forks, plates etc. Staff spoke virtually no english - the level of English spoken could be helpful on website. This was the most expensive Hotel we stayed in, and although lovely, no nicer than any of the others that we stayed in around Austria.
The food in the restaurant was good and represented good value for money. Room had been newly redecorated The room was over the kitchen and so was noisy until 12.00 and again from 05.45. The facilitities are all in the Seiserhof (sauna, internet) and not avialable in the Seiseralm. No credit cards accepted at Seiseralm.Staff could have been more friendly
Beautiful location in a very scenic area overlooking the lake and the mountains. The hotel room was lovely and we had a fabulous lake view. The room w as very clean. Buffet breakfast was ample and delicious. We would certainly recommend this hotel. The staff speaks either very little or no English which makes things a little awkward. The adjacent restaurant had great food but the service was slow and the staff not too friendly to foreigners. Our waiter was particularly rude.
Close to local attractions, beautiful location, beautiful wooden building, nice outside seating area. The room was big and had good shower facilities. Highly recommend the restaurant next door, exceptionally good food. The breakfast buffet was absolutely fabulous. Within the hotel itself, the restaurant staff were cold and ignorant, slow to take orders and we are sure we were given someone's left overs for our dinner - it was disgusting (and it included a dead fly!). No apology given and we were sick the next day. The room was a good size but very dark as there was only one skylight and no windows. As there wasn't a bath only a shower, it was not ideal for a family with two babies.
Friendly staff, and very easy. Staff accomodated all our requests.
Very pleasant stay in a lovely location. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Fod was very good. Bedrooms were very warm at night and noisy due to room location, - room faced onto street.
Everything. A fantastically friendly landlord and landlady who were fun and a great help, super food, lovely rooms, wonderful location and easy parking. Highly recommend this hotel and its owners. No
Friendly staff who made me feel very welcome.
friendly, personal service made the saty a real pleasure and very relaxing too. Sitting in the garden, surrounded by mountains, enjoying a coffee was a real delight. The hotel is excellently located too and whilst it is quiet and peaceful one is centrally located for the town and its facilities. Couldn't be faulted
Good bed and good breakfast-just what´s needed on a business trip. The lift was a little tired!
We have 1 child and we loved the fact that we could sit and relax after a beautiful meal while our child played in the extensive gardens & play park beside us and within our view. The Food was excellent and also catered very well for children. The Staff were very friendly. The weather was very hot and the rooms were very warm.
it is placed in a beautiful resort i think that the price for child(6y) breakfast was too much (12eur) .It could be half price because he didn't eat almost nothing
Good room, excellent service, great food. The owners of the hotel made this a very enjoyable stay for this. We spent hours talking to Marcus, a man with a great sense of humour and a great character. Would go back again.
Morning noise from birds in the hotel hall. Not so hard but ...
Nice family owned hotel .Good country location.Nice large room.Good food.We would look forward to staying here again.
almost everything - the staff was so helpful - they even gave us useful advice on day trip travels. They even greeting us by name. The food was excellent. The fish fillet was the best I'd ever had anywhere. The balcony was great and the atmosphere so peaceful. smelled like someone may have smoked in the room, but it wasn't overwhealming.
The two ladies were very sweet and attentive to us. They're complimentary breakfast was very large and good. I highly recommend this hotel. You could hear outside into the hallway really clearly. The doors needs to be more sound proof.
This was a small hotel, but extremely nicely put together. Almost like a bed and breakfast. Meticulously clean. Conveniently situated near, but in the middle of Ruhpolding. Very nice breakfast spread included in stay.
We enjoyed our stay and could not fault anything, from the position to the facilities and the friendly staff allo were a delight. We will be returning.
Very well accommodated room with kitchenette, microwave, refrigerator, and kitchenware. Good breakfast but not too much variety. Best value for money! Sine the hotel is located on the main road, opening the windows in summer can be noisy.
I was very impressed with the room.Spacious and beautifully decorated. Beds were the best i ever slept in and better then many 4star hotel.Breakfast was delicious and the central location of the Guesthouse was great to make daytrips to Salzburg, Munich etc. Lovely staff, very helpfull and made me feel home from the first moment.Whenever i visit Bavaria again Guesthouse Zeranka will definately be booked. Also very close to ski pistes
Wonderful, friendly staff. Comfortable, beautiful room. Close to Salzburg. Lovely breakfast. One thing: the guesthouse is close to a high traffic road, so in the early morning you might be woken up by car / truck noise.
first class accomodation, located near a beautiful village, pleasant hosts. nothing bad at all
The owners were pleasant, friendly and provided good service. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was great.
Great location to work a vacation from. To see the sights of Germany or neighbouring countries. Staff are terrifc.
it was great to stay in haus zeranka. The room was clean and had wonderful breakfast also they gave us ruhpolding card which we could use for swimming pool and cable car for free. Definitely worth for money!
Anita was courteous, helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was excellent; room generously appointed and clean and very comfortable. One of our favorite stops on our two week trip. Would definitely return to this zimmer. Loved everything about this hotel!
