Clean, reasonable prices Don't speak french or english at all
Hotel room was clean and good value. Although the evening meal (menu del dia) was not expensive, we were disappointed with the quality of the food in the restaurant i.e. the fish was very small and had little flesh and the lamb was nearly all bone - we could find no meat!. Breakfast facilities were very poor - we had to eat in the cafeteria which was full of work men from the building site next door and there was only one person serving the coffee and doughnuts from behind the bar i.e. no table or self service facilities.
Breakfast in bar - too smokey for children
Receptionist on arrival was very pleasant and made us feel most welcome. She is a real asset to the hotel. The central location was a plus as it was only a short walk to the main town features, especially the grand church with all the storks nesting on the parapets!!
The in-house restaurant served an excellent menu del dia. Very poor location, only suitable for an overnight stay.
the kindness of the staff some smell sometime along the corridor
Excellent menu of the day for 11 euros. Very convenient for an overnight stay.
This was the 4th time we've had a overnight stay at the Palacios accompanied by our dog and for us it ticks all the boxes. Ideal pace to stay if you want a reasonably price, friendly hotel to break your journey. Menu del dia in the restaurant is pretty good too! N/A
distance and availability of car parking acceptance of pets, ease of booking in and out at reception.
Helpful staff and central location, the rooms were clean and despite the cold weather at an ambiant temperature. It was all rather basic including the restaurant which was lacking in any atmosphere or ambiance, the bar was very local and very smoky! Not used to that in UK any more.
I wasvery disapoinrted that no mention had been made that the air conditioning was not working due to the change in the seasons. I think this should have been noted on the site or at least at reception. The weather was very hot and below our room was a smoking room with the doors open... Air conditioning was needed
Great old-time atmosphere, friendly staff, varied and plentiful breakfast, fine restaurant, quiet even though centrally located
La bona situació del Parador dins de la població
attention for details all over the parador, very very clean, rooms spacious abd very comfortable. i do not mond but the wooden floor can amke some noise - it would however not be the same whithout it.
Excellent location just off the motorway in the middle of the wine region very helpful friendly staff we were towing a boat behind the car and it was very easy to get to and they had pre-arranged a section for us to park overnight in their secure car park
We enjoyed the atmosphere with the antique furniture and quiet luxury feel. The staff were extremely helpful. It was good to find such a quality hotel in an area of Spain that is quite empty of towns.
The facility was wonderful. The staff was excellent and very helpfull in give us directions and suggestions regarding other things to do not on our list. The rooms were very clean, large and comfortable. We enjoyed the restaurant as well. The food was very good. Having internet access was very handy. Nothing comes to mind!
The location was ideal and the hotel for our requirements
Easy to locate in centre of city but close to historic Roman and medieval areas of great interest; nice big rooms ,very good regional food, helpful efficient staff. No english language TV allthough hotel literature claims to supply it!!
staff polite and helpfull. room clean and modern.
modern and nice. it was a bit cold (because of the season) but we ask for a blanket and everything was correct.
Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The little patio was lovely to sit in at the end of a tiring day driving. This hotel is perfect for an overnight stop when driving across Spain. All the staff were lovely too and being to be able to park for free in a secure parking area was an added bonus. We opted to pay for breakfast in the bar attached and although it was adequate (individually wrapped croissants and cake with coffee) and the bar staff very nice, it wasn't worth 5 Euros.
Very Truck stop orientated but convenient as a one night stopover
very helpful staff. Good swimming pool.
We have stayed at this hotel many times. It is conveniently situated on the main road to Bilbao (for the ferry), is comfortable and has a restaurant that is open until late.
It was an ideal location for an overnight stay on our trip from Santander to Alicante, (and again on the return journey) and our pet dog was welcome as well. We would definately use the hotel again. We ate Tapas on both stays with a bottle of Red Wine and it was very reasonable. It was just what we expected after reading reviews on the website we would use it again. The only thing is it was more than a walk away from the centre of Calahorra.
Nice room It is not easy to ｔｈｅ ｍａｉｎ ｔｏｗｎ ａｎｄ ｃａｂｓ ａｒｅ ｅｘｐｅｎｓｉｖｅ， ｔｈｅ ｓｔａｆｆ ａｒｅ ｕｎｈｅｌｐｆｕｌｌ ａｎｄ ｔｈｅ ｉｎｔｅｒｎｅｔ ｉｓ ｅｘｐｅｎｓｉｖｅ ｔｏ ｕｓｅ．Ｃｈｅａｐｅｒ ｔｏ ｃａｌｌ ｂｙ ｐｈｏｎｅ．．．
Friendly staff. Bath too small.
It was very close to the highway. We just made a stop to sleep and continue our trip. The fact that pets were allowed.
the food was excellent value distance from town, no use of pool after Sept.
The hotel is well positioned for an overnight stop on route to the Ferries at Santander and Bilbao, having driven over from near Alicante. We were happy with the hotel in general and very happy with the room. The restaurant food was very good.
Room size and en suite Internet access did not work, in addition there were no instructions supplied. Restaurant was not open. Breakfast was tiny - a cup of coffee and a pastry?croissant.
The staff were very good and efficient - hotel very clean and a decent range of menus with fair prices It would benefit from more signage and directions from the towm centre
modern, fresh and spacious feel to the building noisy floors
A nice modern hotel easily located on the main road. A little English spoken by the young lady on reception. The room was of a high standard with plenty floor space and a modern three in one shower. There was secure parking covered by CCTV to the rear which I was offered to park my motorbike, otherwise the reception is open 24 hours and vehicles parked out front more than safe. At my time of visit (March) the restaurant appeared closed, leaving only the bar area available, which did not appear to do food other than snacks. This was also used by locals which offered a lively time but also left it in poor state of cleanliness. No English spoken apart from reception. No drink making facilities in room. Breakfast was pastry and coffee only.
The location of the hotel was just a short walk into the lovely old town of Corella. The hotel is modern and bright, the rooms are big. The first room we were given was dirty - the bin hadn't been emptied, the water glass in the bathroom had lipstick on it and there were hairs in the bed. Fortunately the hotel staff quickly changed our room. The room was very noisy at night, we were disturbed by loud voices from downstairs twice during the night. The high-tech shower didn't work properly.
