The Spa is a wonderful, calm and comfortable area. Plenty of comfy seating and papers to read. The breakfast was delicious. Staff were cheery and polite always.
Wonderful No bad points at all, a first
Staff try their best to be helpful, the sensation of being in a steaming pool while its zero degrees outside is quite cool, prices are reasonable and the food is good. Room windows dont open so it can get a little stuffy and the arcon makes noise, spa facilities other than the pool are fairly basic.
The hotel in general was very clean and comfortable and the location was very close to the business venue I was visiting The location would not suit some being situated on a business park. The car park though adequate only had a temporary surface which detracted from the external appearance.
Not necessarily bad points; just think you would like to know. I ordered two newspapers that weren't received. We had two drinks in the bar. We were not asked for our room number or payment, and there was no-one to offer to when we finished. I raised it in order to pay when checking out - as there was no document I was told there was no charge. Very nice for me but I hope your hotel does well and stays in business.
The facilities meant we could relax and they weren't too busy The fact that all treatments were fully booked
Staff were helpful, hotel clean, enjoyable spa and pool which merged with outside. Ddin't eat there but menu looked good. Overall good value for money. Book early for treatments on week-ends as wasn't able to have tretment of choice due to short notice.
The facilities were excellent. I really enjoyed my stay at Malvern Spa. Nothing
Excellent lesiure facilities - very helpful pleasant staff- good restaurant
old fashioned style, very good breakfast, generally good value long walk to the car park
beautiful hotel well furnished. no
I liked the location and the quietness. Had a lot of problems with the water...hot and cold did not work well. A lot of air in the lines caused the water to go on and off during a shower. I do not have any complaints per say, just a problem with the hot/cold water. I still liked the hotel.
Value for money - clean room and good breakfast The heating levels in all rooms were set too high for us
convenient central location As usual poorest rooms for single occupancy - at the end of the hotel, no view and over ;ooking the road passed and into the car park. Circuitous route to room and no assistance with luggage
Nothing in perticular but was not impressed. Location, was given the impression that it was surrouned by coutryside but was in the middle of the town. The Dinner was very poor. Over cooked vegitables, watery coliflower with no taste, I have erased the rest from my mind, thank goodness.
postion to town was good. not very friendly staff. stayed in newly refurbished room but no lock on bathroom door and front door rattled.
the location of the Abbey is just perfect, be at the centre of the town. the hotel is clean and nice as good as the staffs. anyway i stayed at a wing of the abbey that doesn't have an elevator. it's rather difficult to move with a big luggage.
Helpful staff. Evening meal and breakfast both very good. Very comfy bed.Room clean. Perfect location for my business trip.
room service annexe not in keeping with main hotel appearance
I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was immaculate and the staff were very friendly. The food was excellent. Nothing. It was perfect.
Extremely efficient and helpful staff. Room was immaculate with what looked like a brand new bathroom. 4 of us had a great time. The restaurant is lovely and the food spot on. None
dinner, location the shower didn't keep to one temperature
Location, car parking, clean large room.
Setting / surrounding area / comfortable / good food The scaffolding...
Staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was modern, clean and sapcious and the location was perfect
The high standard of service, the quality of the food and the wonderful views from our room.
The comfort, cleanliness & quietness of the rooms; we were given an upgrade on arrival, which was a lovely surprise. Thank you Caron :o) The hotel is also very clean & a comfort for all. The excellent staff, as nothing was too much trouble. As for the food, breakfast, dinner etc., out of this world, & very good value too. Parking a bit of a problem @ times, nothing drastic, but don't let this put you off.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The cleanlinessand comfort of the room. The food was delicious and it was particularly helpful that we could take our dog into one of the bar areas. The scaffolding outside, but this is obviously a temporary situation and it did not really mar our stay.
Pleasant , friendly, tidy , helpful staff and good value for money ! Also very good location for exploring the countryside . A little to near the main road .
friendly staff The internet access was a bit inconsistent and wasted 2 hours of my time. After re-boooting the router by the hotel it was OK
Friendly staff, very good food.
The staff were particularly helpful and cheerful. The hotel was comfortable and warm but not too warm, with lots of interesting features Although the bedroom we stayed in was fine in its size and the bathroom had an excellent shower in it, the bed was not particularly comfortable and the pillows also didn't help. For this reason alone I would perhaps try and book a twin bedded room if I returned with my husband - two people tossing and turning in a small double excacerbated the discomfort. With single use the bed would probably have been much better. I would stress however, that we are both particularly fussy about our beds.
The warm welcome and helpful staff. The size of our room was a wee bit small.
I particularly liked the warm welcome received from the blonde lady on reception. I did not like the cost!
The friendliness of the staff, their willingness to assist us, the general 'feel' of the hotel (not too formal or regal, but by no means low-brow), the menu and wine list, the location. Worthy of note is the tasteful and at times clever way the best attributes of the original building have been utilised or adapted to present a good combination of period charm with modern convenience. Though it did not affect us (other than as observers) it was 'strange' that the staff at breakfast time on one of the mornings tried to get strangers to share a table, rather than set another table. They did in the end, but only after the manageress had interjected!
Not enough fresh air in restaurant especially, placement of twin room at back of hotel somewhat disappointing
Comfort and cleanliness of room / bathroom and pleasant helpful staff . Daily weather report on staircase ! Very dissapointed with the lifeless atmosphere of the hotel. The dining room at breakfast had an ambience about it more likened to a funeral parlour !! Did not consider that service in the bar was available for as long/often as it could have been. The stairs were a problem ( for 80+year olds.) Consider the absence of lift facilities should be made apparent when booking.
Warm welcome, efficient staff, attention to detail and obvious that it is owned and run by family who care unlike "chains", great food!
Attentive service, good food, excellent location, comfortable and relaxing.
Good atmosphere, comfortable bedroom, very good service, quiet location but close to town centre.good food allthough we only had breakfast.
The room was comfortable, the saff friendly and it is only a short walk from the shops.
We were meeting with a group of friends in Malvern
The hotel and staff were excellent, there was an excellent menu for dinner and everything appeared freshly prepared and cooked. Breakfast similarly excellent.
Lovely hotel in a marvellous location. Food good and staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. Nice TV in room with Sky Sports. Room was also a good size for a single room.
Food, Staff, room-all excellent We were unable to eat in the restaurant as it was fully booked before we arrived.
Food is good - cooked breakfast a bit sparse, evening meal fine. Pleasant staff. Interesting building and good situation. Poor quality furnishing and facilities; small rooms.
Very cofortable, clean, relaxing peaceful atmosphere. very helpfful staff lovely food
We had an excellent stay at the Cotford Hotel, even if it was only one night. The owners and the staff were friendly and extremely efficient and helpful. We had a meal in the restaurant which was superb, and reasonably priced.Luxury with a homely feel.
The hotel and rooms were very nice. Staff were extremely helpful. The hotel had recently changed hands and although the new owners were lovely they did not offer some of the services that were available when we booked like room service and bar meals
Friendly welcome and a great breakfast. Tv was not remote controlled.
General personal and warmth of rooms and welcome Maybe no loo door!
It was the best cooked breakfasts we have had in a long time and the waitress was very attentive and friendly Thin walls between our room and the bathroom next door
the hotel was very good country side lovely we like walking the food was excellent could, not fault, it. nothing we did not like
This is an excellent hotel. The focus is on good old-fashioned service which is hard to find these days. The rooms are spotless, the breakfast is magnificent and the welcome is second-to-none. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Er, nothing.
Quiet, unusual, comfortable No internet access
Location Overall condition
Friendly, comfortable, very quiet. Great breakfast! Shower not too good
The peace and quiet the food was very good and the owners very friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them. the bed was not as comfortable as some places we have stayed and I prefer seperate bathroom or on suite
Lovely quiet, clean accommodation. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Room was a little cramped.
setting felt a bit 'pensioner like'
the happy, friendly, helpful staff
breakfast. that was it... no panoramic view as stated...unless stood outside reception..no use at night. dining times varied to those stated on site, so missed having dinner got to room at 9pm,read in info at 9.45 that food could b ordered until 9.30 shame reception staff didnt offer this info. asked for best room as was a birthday present, got totally opposite of EVERYTHING i requested..pointless asking if people would prefer smoking/non smoking!!! bathroom not cleaned properly, rubbish behind chair in main room. Definitely not value for money.
Cleanand well equiped rrom, good attention to detail Dinner - fish was overcooked
Nice surroundings. frioendly staff
Thr owner tried very hard to make us feel welcome 1 breakfast lovely 1 was awful including staff service
The hotel had thought of everything, from bathrobes, to Malvern water and 'homemade' biscuits in our room. Everything was beautifly presented, clean and extremley comfortable. Absolutely nothing not to like.
It's situation high on the side of the Malvern Hills which makes it an excellent centre for exploring them.
Friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere very pleasant.
Internet check in was excellent Should make it clear on web page about car parking charges. Directions to hotel on web were very vague
View from the room. Eclectic but suitable furnishings that fitted in with the Victorian building
Hotel mangeress was excellent, very friendly and good sense of humour. Clean linen, excellent view, good size room. It was not explained when we booked an evening meal that the menu would be very limited on a Sunday night. No chance to have breakfast before 7.30 which for us was too late, so we had the contienntal which was pretty dire.Hotel just a little dated and in need of a revamp.
Perfect location No heating or hot water. Very dated bathroom and bedroom.
welcome at the arrival was fine; good location could manage to obtain hot water for my showers!; breakfast staff nice but unexperienced and had to skip breakfast on the first morning as I had an appointment and after 20 waitings waiting to place my order I had to leave ...
Staff were friendly and helpful It was very poor, the room was dusty and the standard of decoration was very poor, peeling wall paper, taps in bath with did not close properly living a constant drip, black marks on skirting boards, bulbs without light shades, different coloured walls from paintings being removed I presume, beds that were very noisy and the window in the bedroom was so dirty we could see out of the window.
After requesting another room we had a wonderful view over the Malvern hills. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The curtain pelmets and curtains were coming off their hooks and the curtains did not close fully. The bathroom skirting boards and particularly behind the toilet were covered in dust, not very nice.
It was in walking distance (15 mins) from the station and well situated overlooking the town, 5-10 minutes walk to the theatres and other sights. The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. My room had a pleasant side view over a grassed area. Wi-fi is a useful service though I didn't use it on this occasion. Very good cooked breakfast. Although it is a very beautiful and interesting old building it might be time for a bit of refurbishment to the decorations and bathroom (Room 11) - painted woodchip paper always looks a bit cheap ... That would make it better value for money. Price seems towards top end for a two star hotel.
very handy for me the toilet seat would not stay up. I am a man, these things are important! The sausage for breakfast was not in my top tem of sauisages, try real ones from a butcher.
A very pleasant room with fantastic view. Good facilities in room. The bar was most comfortable. The continental breakfast was excellent but the full english was bathed in grease and let the service down.
