Pros: Beautiful property, nice rooms, great staff, wonderful local kitchen using some of their own produce. 5 minutes from the Goryachinsk wellness center (kurort) and 20 minutes' walk from the beach, there is also a traditional Russian banya available on-site. Eastern Baikal with its beaches is much nicer than the western shore. To get here from Ulan-Ude, take one of 4-5 daily mini-buses from the bus station on Sovietskaya 1 (it is a 3-hour commute but very worth it for a few days' stay).
