Pool and spa facilities very good. Staff need to smile a bit more.
convenient and easy to find for first-time visitors to Grenaa only one thing: we had dinner at the Helnan and chose a menu which had no price list!
The service and the jacuzzi Everything was expensive and the room was too warm...no fan or air con.
Personnel staff was great, very helpful. We did not appreciate not having a working telephone in our room .During our entire stay, our telephone did not work. The breakfast menu could be improved.
Swimming pool - it was wonderfulll to swim in the clean, refreshing water early in the morning. Location was very good because we came with Stena Line from Sweden. Pleased with special price in family room for one night.
The hotel was light and airy and the room comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Plenty of car parking space and the location was superb. There was no choice for evening meal; but what we had was very good. We were surprised at having to pay extra: 100 D Kr per person to use the pool.
I enjoyed the pool. . Overall we enjoyed our stay and will be returning next year. I would of liked Air conditioning. The room was hot with 4 staying, with no air and such a small window. The gurad on the childs bed was not so safe.Bacon would have been nice at Breakfast.
The hotel is on the edge of Grenaa and a short walk (10 mins) from the sea and harbour. It's also a short walk down quiet roads to the small town of Grenaa where there are seveal small resuarants and bars, including a Chinese Restaurant which offered good value. There are a limited number of shops in the town, and they close at usual Danish times. The hotel restaurant could only offer me a buffet meal during the evening of my stay, which is why I walked to the town
The staff were very helpful, the food was Excellent (it is a set menu for each day of the week), however saying that, there were no options for Vegeterians - but I am sure they would knock something up if you ask! They also have a Light Lunch menu, but I would stick with the set menu. The underfloor heating in the bathroom was a blessing and the rooms are very Scandanavian style (minimilistic). Also free car park. Be very aware, this hotel is very much of a Conference Centre, with the emphasis of Conference. I suppose it is not a bad thing, just as long as you make sure when you check in, that you mention that you would like to dine there, as they will set a private table for you away from the large number of guests attending the Conference. Also watch out for the mushroom sauce as it was (as I have been told) full fat rich cream sauce - not to my licking! It is about 20 mins from Aarhus airport which you pass anyway getting to this hotel!!
