An interesting set of buildings. Dinner was exceptionally good. Our room was quite small, and the decor not in keeping with the overall age and style of the building.
Extremely friendly staff, very nice hotel and surroundings, extremely good food. We spend a very nice moment in this hotel! Bathroom are a little bit outdated, but no drama!
The setting and food were excellent. The room was disappointing: very warm, and not in the main building which we were looking forward to seeing.
The spacious room and bathroom were very neat and comfortable. Private parking. Breakfast was adequate but somewhat expensive.
The atmosphere was wonderful. The meal at the restaurant was outstanding.
excellent food and friendly attebtive service.
We were thrilled with the cleanliness and tastefulness of the room. Lovely bathroom with unusually nice array of bath salts and so on. A very relaxed atmosphere with helpful and charming proprietors. We were unable to sample the dinner, although it sounded and smelled wonderful. Due to the intentionally limited menu and a family member with diabetes, we ate elsewhere. However, at the croissant-style breakfast, the proprietor offered us especially made eggs and lovely cheeses for no charge. I'm sure he would have been equally accommodating at dinner. We only regret that our stay was so short - overnight only, and that the pool closed at 20.00 which meant our daughter couldn't have a longed-for swim. Nothing to dislike. Perhaps if one were looking for a chic 'chateau' this would be slightly disappointing in that the rooms are more in an up-market 'motel' type setting. However, we were very happy and pleasantly surprised with everything.
Very friendly hosts, clean, spacious and tastefully decorated room. Set in beautiful countryside, overall relaxing stay.
The personal attention of the owners meant that the whole experience was enhanced. The food at dinner was excellent and the location of the hotel leads to a very restful sojourn. It is quite close for exploring the Cele, Lot and Dordogne villages. Nothing at all
Very interesting design, nice view og good Breakfast. Find service advising and giving a Taxi to Restauranst in the nearby Saint-Cirq-Lapopie. Much to see in the area. The shower was to difficult/hard to open. They ought to fix it so it worked permanently.
This is a delightful hotel, beautifully built and furnished. An excellent service to their outstanding restaurant in the picturesque village Cirq Lapopie. Please can we have decaffinated coffee at breakfast and fresh milk.
Beautiful hotel with excellent facilities. Fantastic views of the village across the valley. Handy to trip around the region. Very useful shuttle to the village for dinner, but plenty of space to have a relaxed evening at the hotel with a glass of wine, cheese and bread.
Room was a bit out of the ordinary - fun - and a patio. no eggs or fruit available with breakfast
Superb location with a lovely view across the river to St Cirq la Popie- hotel had only been open a couple of weeks so everything is very new with modern showerrooms and confortable large beds. Good breakfasts ( at extra cost) served inside or on the terrace and a shuttle bus to take you to the hotel restaurant in St Cirq for the evening ( return when you want ).Very good value for money and a very peaceful setting.
A lovely quiet location. The British owners were very welcoming and served excellent meals. The former farm buildings had been converted into very attractive and comfortable accommodation and we very much enjoyed our 3-night stay. The historic town of Figeac was only 15 minutes away and a good place to visit and eat out.
Loved the setting and the rusticity of the farm and tasteful decor and refurbishment which was done in context! Full marks to the owners for a very good establishment! Loved everything, in spite of the unseasonable cold...
The tranquility and wonderful scenery from everywhere in the hotel. Accommodation was excellent, food excellent and the whole place had a real "WOW" factor. Absolutely nothing.
Really nice place and friendly personel. We enjoyed our stay.
Very relaxed and Oz and Josephine were very hospitable and helpful. Oz's cooking was great and he is an enthusiastic Chef who discusses your meal with you and if he has time he will cook whatever you fancy.Generally very relaxed atmosphere. Beds were a bit hard.
Very nice, cosy hotel, friebdly staff and perfect athmosphere. :D Thank you!
Meal & setting was fabulous & Oz was a perfect host VERY eager to please! Room spacious & very clean Breakfast not fantastic value. Quite hard to find hotel as it really is in a beautiful remote spot!
Location, right on the river in a lovely little village. The pool area to sit and read. The evening meal was not 'gourmet' but very tasty. Rooms are basic, like a motel. No internet access. Reception staff on check in a bit impersonal, others ok.
It was in an a beautiful setting and the staff were both helpful and friendly
In summer, hotel would have been ideal. Not much going for it in the Autumn/Winter.
Landscape, operativity of the staff, good marking of a way to hotel, closeness to interesting visit places
The hotel was clean and comfortabale with pleanty of parking. We were in the block across the road instead of around the pool and gardens. Our room was modern and quite spacious. The bathroom was very clean. No noise. We ate in the restaurant as there was no other choice unless you go by car. The food was ok, nothing memorable. Would stay again as it is a base for hiking, boating and canoeing.
Hotel rooms well laid out very comfortable and great location. none
Wonderful location in the mountains near the river, very helpful staff, superb local food in the restaurant.Only 5 km from Cabreret.
Fantastic location on the River Lot. Simple but lovely hotel gardens, grounds and swimming pool area. Triple, family room, exactly as expected. Good value restaurant cooking local food. The pool bar closed too early!
We were very comfortable during our 12 Night stay
Arrived a bit late and in the dark, were offered a room near the swimming pool which looked out at a wall, so asked for another room ( and was offered one a few metres away). Woke up to find that the hotel was in a very pleasant location next to the river. Clean if a bit stale. Relaxed atmosphere. Probable due a refurbishment at some time
The view from the window was fantastic & the terrace for dinner was great. The air conditioning didn't work. No shower curtain.
The location. Had to upgrade for a balcony. 112 euros (plus tax) is too expensive for a Thursday night. We were not offered the complimentary tea/coffee facility and only realized too late (when we had read the huge amount of blurb) that it was available. Bath plug faulty/hard to use.
Very convenient and scenic location. Downside - can be noisy with the window open!
Friendly staff, very central, plug and mirror together! The hair driers that don't work, little bit too expensive compared to other similar hotels
our room overlooked the river
Localeand swimming pool
Location and service. Note staff professional and quick (may not have time to stop and chat). Free parking close to hotel. AC in rooms and window shut means large trucks frequently crossing bridge are not as heard/loud. No shower curtain facility.
Close to town centre Shower over the bath did not have curtain around, therefore bathroom got very wet if used as shower.
the restaurant staff were excellent and the fact that the restaurant was fully open on New Years Day was much appreciated
This Hotel is very located on the edge of the Old Town.,easy walking distance to all points of interest.
Nice, bat... Room was small
nice room , toilet very clean, very good restaurant available room is too small for a three star hotel . was also very noisy in the early morning because of a market in the square . lady at reception quite weird - we went to the restaurant and she accompanied us to the table , then took our orders and after a few minutes came back to tell us we had to wait for one hour before eating because we had not made a reservation for the table in advance . Added that if we didn't want to wait for so long we had to go to another town as apparently there are no other restaurants in Gramat. We decided to wait and food arrived after only 10 minutes! we had a plesant dinner in the end but why did she lie to us? I think she just wanted us to leave... quite weird .
The food and the owners
Situated in the main square of Gramat. Excellent food offered in the restaurant with option of interior or exterior eating areas. Good breakfast. Room comfortable. WiFi enabled for those wanting the internet. Good value overall.
Located in the centre of town, yet quiet. Friendly staff. Rather small room, but properly equiped. Good food.
Great location, great atmosphere, very clean and comfortable rooms and the manager had a great sense of humour.
The lady on the phone spoke excellent English and was very helpfull. No
The rooms were well equipped with updated bathrooms. The food was excellent as well as the service. Next to train station and about 10 minute walk from the center of town. Convenient to Rocamador and easy parking. If your room faces the train station you may hear the arrival of trains or buses if you keep your window open to fresh air.
the hotel was sort of disapoitment-only the food was exellent.rooms too small and very functional-no generosity same as the stuff. the room, the stuff
While the village is not very interesting, the location is great for day trips into the surrounding interesting area. cramped rooms
the hotel has a good restaurant colours of our room, green and yellow
Lovely breakfast and village location
Quite village location
Location. The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. The retaurant used to be very good. The food is not as good as previously experienced and expensive. Not clear why as the menu has remained fairly constant for the last few years.
Friends with us gave the hotel a rating of 7.5. We quite liked the hotel, position, facilities, decor of restaurant and cleanliness. However two of us liked the food but the other two thought the food was poor, mainly the main course.
Charming and helpful staff - value for money - central but peaceful location - delicious breakfasts and lunches - great terraces for sitting out with a coffee or a meal! - near to tennis courts! Small room, but it was clean and well-equipped, and that's about it!
Free internet, friendly reception and good restaurant Coordinates given from hotel are wrong, we could not find this it, hotel rooms are dark and old, 2 star would be more matching
A very relaxed site with rooms accessing the garden and the pool. Attentive service and nice dining. Rooms a little dark.
The bedroom and bathroom were spacious for 3 people and the fan was a useful addition No tea and coffee making facilities in room
They are happy to take dogs, and we found the food in the restaurant was of a high standard.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Small but comfortable and clean room. Air conditioned room. Good restaurant, prepared special vegetarian meal for us. Quiet environment. Makes feel us at home. none
Staff very pleasant and helpfull it was value for money and the food was also very good.
Have not commented on above as the hotel was only an overnight stop on our journey. Very pleasantly situated in the countryside with excellent amenities. No lift
Nice relaxed trip. Not kettle in room and rooms were a bit small but staff nice and location nicely rural No kettle and rooms a bit small
relaxing peaceful surroundings, excellent food, value for money. the only downside was the weather, but the 2 days we stayed there were great.
Friendly staff, good cuisine. We were on a site seeing trip, and the hotel was well situated in a quiet village..
Very attactive to look at, with pleasant outside sitting/dining area alongside pool, food very good, with good size portions, local specialities available, plenty of staff in dining area, english speaking and friendly, cosy with French appeal nothing
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the little village it nestles beside is very picturesque. it feels functional and rather querky with an ugly modern extension mixed with eclectic mix of furniture. The drive to and from this is on very dramatic roads, and figac worth a visit. No lift so if you were not able bodies our second floor room would have been a problem. It was also very hot in the eves! The consierge did carry our case up unasked though!
