Pros: Lovely welcome, huge house, all amenities, good coffee, the owners live on site and are very nice people. Bella Italia!
Cons: Everything was perfect
Pros: Patricia and Santiago were kindness personified. My wife’s train from Rome to Orvieto was 3 hours 35 mins late, but Santi waited for her, and Patricia cooked a delicious meal. Very, very good people with a lovely house and guest apartment.
Pros: Very nice view and friendly staff.
Cons: No A/C as advertised and breakfast.
Cons: Very good location and excellent
Pros: very warm and welcoming hosts! place very comfortable and clean, surrounded by nature. i had a whole apartment for myself and the hosts cooked a huge and tasty dinner for me. they were really helpful with wifi issues and always there if i needed anything
Cons: no english was spoken
Pros: We were lost after walking 30km and owner collected us. They prepared a lovely meal for us.
Located in San Lorenzo Nuovo, Agriturismo B&B Vallegiorgio is in a rural location, within a 10-minute drive of Lake Bolsena and Palazzo Farnese. Featured amenities include refrigerator in a common area, a water dispenser, and lockers. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The breakfast was fine, the rooms and bathroom were very clean, the view was beautiful, the dog is fun, and the host was friendly.
Cons: We don't like complaining, but we were very disappointed about the pool being closed, and not being notified about it beforehand. Upon arrival the host told us the pool was closed. Given that our stay was in June, we obviously expected it to be open. We understand such things can happen, but we would have liked to know this before arriving (so we could have had the opportunity to book something else). This place is clearly advertised as having a large, beautiful pool (it's the first and main picture on booking.com), so this was a major letdown.
Pros: Outside area
With a stay at Le Roghete in Acquapendente, you'll be 7.3 mi (11.8 km) from Val di Chiana and 9 mi (14.5 km) from Lake Bolsena. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We loved our host who made us a beautiful dinner and breakfast. The setting is beautiful. Our apartment was cozy and clean and comfortable.
Cons: Only note that the road to the house is not paved and very rocky and uphill for about 4 kilometers. Must take it very very slow.
Pros: Everything is perfect!!!
Pros: Meraviglioso - Superb. On a hill in the middle of nature great view and a kind host which is at the same time a brilliant cook. try the wine !
Pros: Dinner was exceptionally good with only home-grown food: from dried ham, cheese, all kinds of fresh vegetables, fruit, honey, jam, wine and even a digestive
Pros: We had a magnificent time with Massimo and Karim! The apartment is on top of the hill that you get a spectacular view and can enjoy the starry sky. The apartment itself has all we need, and it is very cozy. There are many spaces to sit and relax outdoor. You can do BBQ, walk around their farm, or get on the hiking trail which is just right next to the house. The hosts gave us their homemade wine, honey and olive oil to taste, and they are delicious! Karim took us to a wonderful walk to show us their farm, and we were lucky to join Massimo for the harvesting that he showed us how to make wine! Not to mention that they have their own Le Roghete bar down the road that you can try their tasty sandwich and purchase their products. Besides the property itself, it is a good base to explore the surrounding areas, cities, and hot springs. Overall, we enjoyed our one week stay very much and would like to come back in the future!
Pros: Spectacular view, very nice and helpful host
Cons: The place is uphill with a spectacular view, but it is not so easy to get there. The last few kilometers on the regular family car you should drive on the low gear. If you are going somewhere, don't plan jump home in the middle of the day.
With a stay at Agriturismo Renaccio in San Lorenzo Nuovo, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Lake Bolsena and Palazzo Farnese. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great location with a magnificent view. The accommodation consists of several private rooms and a shared lounge and kitchen. We went one evening to the village to have dinner and the other evening we made our own meal with fresh products bought in the village and enjoyed the view while having dinner outside. The accommodation looks really authentic, which is very nice! Finally, the hosts are very friendly. One tip for non Italian speaking people: the hosts understand French better than English, but they also manage to understand English if you prefer :-) We enjoyed the stay and will definitely return!
Cons: The mattresses were a bit hard.
When you stay at Castello di Santa Cristina in Grotte di Castro, you'll be 12 minutes by car from Palazzo Farnese. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The communication before arrival was perfect. The owner and the manager were very responsive and organized everything as planned. The location itself is a little jewel at the boarder of Tuscany and Lazio, so if you're looking for a remote place, which has stunning views, a lot of nature and welcoming hosts, this is the place. I'm definitely coming back here! PS.: If you're staying here, take the offered lunch and dinner as Donatella, the chef, just makes the best home-cooked Italian food!
Pros: The whole experience was unforgettable and surly unique. We were hosted in the castle which made our stay even more intriguing. The hosts , Antonio and Cristina, did their best to make us feel comfortable and more than welcome to stay in their home. The staff is doing great job to make sure the service provided is always at the highest standards. Beautiful gardens, surroundings kept clean at all times, well behaved horses and very enduring instructors. The tranquility of the surroundings and the untouched nature topped with the amazing sunsets makes Castello a great option for those who are looking to spend few days away from the busy rhythms of the city.
Pros: The staff were wonderful experienced and kind.
Pros: The facilities the castle offers. The swimming pool is amazing, you have a nice tennis court, horses and lot more of things. The area is just wonderful, you can easily drive around of such beautiful places and the day you decide to stay at the castle, you can have a nice lunch ir dinner for a reasonable price
Cons: Everything was perfect. Nothing to complain about.
Pros: Very peaceful and relaxing place.
Cons: The shower was terrible. Not enough hot water.
Pros: We loved everything about this place. The area is beautiful, there is tons to do, the riding is terrific. We had a great time. We rode, we swam, we ate, we did day trips ... the perfect spot!
Cons: I might tweak the dinner menu a tad but that's it!
Pros: Such a comfortable place Warm staff Beautiful countryside Tons to do Easy going Relaxed Excellent horseback riding Great day trips in the area
Cons: We loved it all

Pros: Wonderful quiet and peaceful place. Everything was perfect. Views are awesome!!
Pros: We arrived after a hard day of hiking and were pleased to find a very welcoming B&B run by extremely kind and helpful people.
Pros: Located outside the town in the most lovely countryside. As there were no immediate eating facilities, the owner kindly gave me a lift to/from the town centre for an evening meal.
Cons: I can not think of anything negative about gthis B&B
Pros: It was ok for one night. The house is in a lovely setting and they could do so much more with it. It's a bit outside of town, but the owner offered to bring us into town and also pick us up again. That was a nice touch!
Cons: The atmosphere was a little "cold". Not sure if the owner had a bit of a bad day or if he's just tired. But he was certainly not the most "welcoming" type of person that day.
Pros: My stay was short and sweet but the room and property were both beautiful.
Pros: The house is out of town, we were walking the Via Francigena so our host drove us into town for supper and gratuitously offered to pick us up and return us to our room.
Cons: For us the distance from town was inconvenient and a little further than we thought.
Pros: Very friendly and welcoming proprietors. Authentic and delicious dining in the restaurant.
Pros: We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was very good.
Cons: Room was small and very spartan. Shower was tiny. Also, given how good the dinner was, the breakfast was mediocre at best. Rooms need some improvement.
Pros: Very conveniently located. The restaurant's food was very good. Friendly and helpful staff.
Pros: Good location and friendly staff.
Cons: Very noisy location.
Pros: Perfect location - just off of the Plaza Fabrizio. Very helpful staff! Thanks for the lovely little breakfast, too!
Pros: Fantastic food , great value for money. Hosts Luisa and Laura were very welcoming and made us feel at home
Pros: The lunch at the associated restaurant when we arrived was excellent
Cons: The sleeping rooms were on the same level as the large dinner/banquet room where talking, singing, clapping and stomping went on until midnight. The rooms should not have been available for guests and certainly not at 60 euros. I do not recommend this place to any one and I have been staying in a different Italian or Sicilian town each night for the past 4 weeks. This was by far the worst on all counts.
Pros: The Restaurant was very good, wide variety of local foods. The rooms was okay size, bed good, bathroom clean. We walked Via Francigena, so the staff were glad to check us In early. They also arranged us a takeaway breakfast and early checkout for our Via Francigena
Cons: Aircon or fan for the rooms would be great. One room were right above the Restaurant which made it very noisy. My rooms were prepaid, I had great difficulty to explain this to the staff which made our stay unpleasant
Pros: Very nice staff, good dinner (not included) for a reasonable price, rooms are basic
Cons: No elevator, poor breakfast, tiny bathroom (if you’re overweight or tall, you’ll probably have a problem taking a shower), thin walls (I could hear my neighbors talk and follow their conversations). I would probably stay here again if I was looking for a low budget hotel with good dinner, but I wouldn’t stay longer than one night.
Pros: Restaurant attached is great, as are the staff.
Cons: The check in was a bit rushed - but I did arrive as they were preparing for dinner. Room was a bit small, and the Booking.com software would not let me select the room I wanted even though it showed it was available. There was partying close by until the early morning.
With a stay at Agriturismo Il Sentiero in Acquapendente, you'll be 9.3 mi (14.9 km) from Lake Bolsena and 8.6 mi (13.8 km) from Val di Chiana. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services and luggage storage. Free valet parking is available onsite.
Pros: Last minute booking for us on a cold rainy day. Owner could not have been nicer. Took a while to get the place warm. Owner kindly drove us back up hill - it's not far but we were beat from the climb - to restaurant la grotto, where we had a really good and good value meal. We walked back down again. This place would be fantastic in fine warm weather.
Cons: It needs internet, and our bed was too soft for me, But I like a very firm bed.
Pros: The hotel was about a 20 min walk from the town center but it felt like I was in the country. The staff was very welcoming. We had dinner at the hotel and I highly recommend doing so. The food was fresh and very well prepared. We couldn't take advantage of the pool due to rainy weather but it looked well maintained.
Pros: Beautiful quiet place, clean very well equipped rooms, nice and helpful staff. Beautiful large swimming pool.
Cons: Something salty for breakfast
Pros: The landscape is beautiful, it is surrounded by nature. The staff was very kind.
Pros: The family who run the place are lovely. It is a proper family stay and they were very welcoming and made us feel like part of the family. It’s not high class but this is what made it so fantastic. The food was fantastic and all home made and delicious. A special mention to their 15 year old son who learned to recite the menu in English :). Google translate was brilliant!
Pros: Near the city but you need to have a car. Friendly staff, large room, large pool (but didn’t use it) Two very friendly dogs and cats.
Cons: Floor is made in typical Italian technology so you can hear each step of guests living above. We were unlucky to have a family with children who were banging the floor and moving chairs around until midnight. Internet was not working in the room.
Pros: Comfortable, spacious rooms on a beautiful property. Great pool. Unbelievable three-course dinner (+desert!) and kind hosts.
Pros: The owner produced a simple and tasty meal in the evening. He also gave us a lift a short way into town on checkout
Cons: Our room had a very bad smell and the whole place was a little dilapidated.
Pros: Comfortable, family run B&B, with large rooms, good sized bathroom and a lovely breakfast. Would stay again.
Cons: It's a little hard to find - but persevere! A friendly welcome awaits!

Pros: The hostess and her family are really warm-hearted, friendly and welcoming, and the landscaping arround the complex is incredible, we would come back if we have an opportunity
Pros: It was a weekend trip. The owner was very kind and caring. She attended every details of our stay. Will come back again!

Pros: The proprerty is situated in a very quite area just minutes from the Bolsena lake with a neat garden/ resting area. The owners were amazingly polite and really helpful, they provide us with all the informations we need about the souroundings and made our stay really relaxing. What blown us away was the breakfast, which was really rich, coffe, milk, all kinds of cereals and home made cookies, fresh fruits from their garden, fresh juices, a lot of options to choose from! Everything was sparkling clean and really made us feel like home! I would come back without hesitation! Thank you for everything and see you soon!

Pros: Excellent accommodation for a pilgrim on the Francigena.
Pros: Lovely outlook over the countryside, quiet, nice bathroom
Cons: There is no restaurant or bar or pool. Bottle of water in room would be nice. Coop 12 mins back to acquapendente Bar/cafe on VF junction to the south 10 mins but on busy road with no path.
Pros: * Well equipped room with the kitchen-corner and a big bed * The host was respectful of my privacy * Reasonably good price-value relationship
Cons: * The house was a bit difficult to find; it seemed to me that the location was not exactly as shown on the map (the house actually was a few hundred meters away from the place shown on the map) * WiFi connection was virtually non-existent
Pros: We are 7 pilgrims on the Francigena and so this was a perfect choice for us. Beds were comfortable and two rooms suited us perfectly. The host was gracious enough to accept us even though we arrived at 2 am. (Sorry for that!)
Cons: The property is about a kilometer from the town and the hike from the property to the town is on a rather “crazy” road.
Pros: Help in getting a taxi.
Cons: Cold damp room. Rock hard croissants and yesterday’s bread for breakfast.
Pros: Quiet and comfortable. Nice breakfast.
Cons: A bit of a walk from the road, but worth the extra effort.
