Pros: Lovely setting, beautiful views of the surrounding countryside from the patio area, I arrived after a lengthy day riding from Lux and had a warm welcome, I booked it the week before and what a gem In the morning Nathalie sat and drank coffee with me whilst I ate breakfast, we talked using my very poor French and her very good English, her husband also joined us, very enjoyable and charming couple

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at L’Etape Normande. Our room was in a beautifully renovated and converted barn opposite Dominique and Corinne’s farmhouse – super comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. Breakfast was wonderful with juice, breads and pastries, a selection of cheeses, yoghurt, ham, and smoked salmon. Dominique went to a lot of trouble to help us enjoy our stay in Normandy – he gave us recommendation for places to eat and things to do. There's also a spa and a gym that you can use! This is 5 star service and amenities for a 3 star price!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place to stay in Normandy. Excellent, spaceous room in a separate annex, with lots charm (wooden rafters and a lot of care taken in the renovation). Spotlessly clean and there were some really nice touches - facilities to make tea, table and chairs inside and out, flowers outside. A delicious breakfast too. Finally, absolutely lovely hosts - Corine and Dominique were incredibly welcoming and helpful. We'd definitely recommend.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room in beautifully restored annex, with its own private entrance. Located in a large and well maintained garden, surrounded by meadows and cows. Warm welcome and a lot of personal attention from the owner. A few day before our arrival he had even sent us a personal mail with a lot of touristic information on the region. The room was very beautiful with a very comfortable king-size bed and a great bathroom with walk-in shower. Tea making facilities, and a bottle of fresh water were available in the room. Abundant breakfast - not French at all - with many local and home-made touches. The 15 minute spa treatment was a great bonus.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful place to stay - the hosts couldn't have been more helpful and the property is beautiful. The breakfast is excellent and the gym/spa area a welcome addition. The area is very remote, but if you are looking to relax it is perfect and there are a number of good restaurants nearby.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were incredibly accommodating valuing our space, The property was beautifully decorated to a high standard and the small touches such as handmade soap lottery teas and cost sheets would very much welcome. There was jacuzzi which we were allowed to use for 15 mins ! The breakfast was wonderful with food from the local region, The host provided us with information about the area and we managed to visit two places.
Cons: I liked it all , highly recommend the hosts spoke English very well.

Pros: Stunning location. The owners were delightful and the room very quaint. The bed was very comfortable and other than a few cobwebs which are to be expected in the countryside it was clean. The breakfast was delicious including eggs from the owners’ hens.
Cons: Cleaned cobwebs around ceiling in bedroom
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very obliging hosts nothing to much trouble
Cons: Difficult to find, diabolical drive up to houses
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts were charming and welcomed us with home made citronade. The large room was beautiful and comfortable with views to the surrounding gardens, farmland and forest. Ideal for those who want a quiet country getaway.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved it!! Out of the way, in the middle of a field surrounded by the forest, everything we wanted to cut ourselves from the hustle and bustle of he city. Beautiful farmhouse, sweet welcoming hosts, great room with a huge shower. Loved it!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location of Ferme de la Haye is beautiful and remote. You are in the middle of nature and it feels very peaceful. The owners are a lovely couple that looked after us incredibly well and give all sorts of tips and advice on how to explore the area, where to go for dinner, running routes etc. The breakfast was a lovely traditional French breakfast with croissants, homemade confiture, baguette, the & coffee, fresh orange juice etc. Sat at the large dining table in a beautiful living room with a view on all the green outside. I can strongly recommend a stay here.
Cons: Nothing, the place was lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutly funtastic place with more than expected owner care. Old house with a lot to see inside and outside on property. Fresh breakfast of owner produce. Highly recommend for all love nature, beauty and relaxation. Get in love with owners. Thanks a lot.
Cons: There is NOTHING that you can't like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is very unique and steeped in history starting life as a glass factory in the 1400’s. The location was so pretty and so quiet. The hosts were interesting and informative about the area. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was delicious, bathroom set up was something I would like at home and the view of their horses in the paddock from our bedroom was brilliant. The only negative is that we only stayed one night. Stay more than one night if you can as the whole area is lovely.
Cons: Absolutely nothing...it was fabulous.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: John and Josette were fantastic We were cycling as a group of 4 from London to Paris and looking for a nice non hotel French rural Experience As the property is a little off the track John met us in a small nearby village Montroty and led us to this hidden Gem We were greeted warmly and offered home made Citronade in the Sunny garden John then showed us around the property and gave a very interesting account of its history dating back to an original Glassworks. The rooms were large, clean with breathtaking views of the local countryside. The Irish Wolfhounds (Harmony and Holmes) lazily wondered around and the horses in the adjacent field set a perfect scene. We ate at a nearby restaurant recommended by John that evening and in the morning had a fantastic breakfast prepared and served lovingly in their beautiful room dating back to 1400's I wish everywhere was like this - we would 100% return and will certainly recommend a stop here to anyone looking for accommodation in this region.
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful farmhouse, garden, room. They have geese, chicken, horses and two giant Irish wolfhounds. Recommended.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: John and Josette could not have been more welcoming and attentive. This is a unique rural property surrounded by woodland, rescued with love over many years from an old ruin. Swallows swoop in and out of the lower barn, geese and chickens can be seen from the garden and the whole location is idylic. Fresh tea and biscuits on the lawn when we arrived, boiled eggs from ther own hens and freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast were highlights.
Cons: The lane in the woods to get to the property is narrow and unmetaled.

Pros: Very friendly hosts, we enjoyed our stay in the comfortable and clean rooms. Great breakfast and the kids enjoyed the (guided tour along) many animals at the farm. Very peaceful surroundings. Lots of space outdoor and indoor because of the giant living room.
Cons: Everything was simply great!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Well laid out facility and very clean. Plenty of parking space. Very welcoming hosts. Great little menagerie of farm animals to view. Lovely outside space too with table and chairs for six people. Beds very comfy.
Cons: Could not connect to the internet at all. Apart from that, nothing else to not like.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice old renovated farm with kind hosts. Very clean spacious living quarters sealed off from main house. Simple and tasty breakfast. Farm animals to distract kids from iPads...
Cons: The pillows
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice owners. Beautiful well kept farm with a lot of animals. Our 2 daughters had a great time. Unfortunately we could only stay for 2 days, but we would have loved to stay longer. The appartment itself was very clean and tastefully decorated. Good breakfast. We hope to come back sometime.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a fabulous chambre d'hôte. Our hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful and what they intend to set up - essentially a farm of exotic and interesting animals to promote animal therapy for children - is fabulous. Our kids ( and we too!) loved the animals, including the camel!! The chambre d'hôte is almost gîte sized and really comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. We had a relaxed and calm sleep in a gorgeous room. It was ideally located for a stop on our way back to England, being only an hour and a half from Eurotunnel. We stayed on a Sunday and it was a little tricky to find somewhere to eat in the evening. Forges-les-Eaux looked nice to drive through but was a little quiet. We found a nice restaurant in Gournay however and I would go here and give Forges a miss if I were to return. Speaking of which, I would DEFINITELY stay here again. Merci mille fois!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had booked a suite of two bedrooms for the three of us for an overnight stay - what we found was more like an apartment, which was a really spacious barn conversion. It was done to a very high standard and had very comfortable beds! And the garden faced the owner's animals - alpacas, llamas, horses, birds and even a camel - what a lovely surprise. The breakfast was delicious, with the creamiest camembert that I've ever had and such tasty homemade jams.
Cons: Absolutely nothing. We wished we were staying for longer. It would make a great base for a few days in the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: EVERYTHING. We loved the ambience of the property, the beds were the most comfortable, the animals were one of our favorite parts of the entire trip - my daughter couldn’t get enough of the llamas, the breakfast with local everything including heart shaped cheese, and mostly Anaïs’s hospitality and family - they were the sweetest of the whole trip and I think our best memories of a month long vacation were here for this one evening and morning with Anaïs and her beautiful family and little boy and animals! Thank you Anaïs! ❤️❤️❤️
Cons: There was nothing I didn’t like but just a suggestion to help others: GPS couldn’t find it by address so maybe coordinates would work better? Or just remember to drive through the town first, (if coming from the same direction as us) and then when you leave the town, there are signs for la ferme. So honestly, it was easy, as long as you remember that it is not IN the town and to look for La Ferme signs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous location, welcoming and friendly owners, comfortable bed and we loved all of the animals. A special little place and a great start to our holiday.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very stylish and extremely clean and very generous
Cons: Set in a very beautiful part of the countryside
9.6 Excellent
Pros: They had a camal in the backyard. What more could you want?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were simply lovely! They had a genuine passion for their business and it showed in every aspect of the property. Although it is a B&B, our room had separate a entryway than the rest of the property which felt very secluded and private. The grounds are really big and beautifully maintained, plenty of space for a nice walk. The breakfast was superb with most things on offer being home made, in particular the apple juice, apple cake and apple jelly all made from the apples grown on the property!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is taken together with the hosts and other guests. Normandy theme incluidng local produce and the host's own apple juice and home baking. The restored house and its surrounding gardens are large and incredibly well maintained.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully restored farmhouse, all extremely tasteful. We had a very warm welcome from Jean-Francis and Sabine. They obviously work very hard, and take great pride in their business . We booked for the evening meal, which was expertly cooked by Sabine, using home grown fruit and veg, and all local products. Delicious, and very good value, as in includes 5 courses, wines and aperitif! It’s run like a dinner party, all sit together, and are introduced by JF. We were a little nervous, as our French isn’t great, but JF translates and we were helped out by other guests! It was a great experience, we felt lucky to be there, highly recommend! Breakfast next day was superb also! Our room was downstairs. It was large, very quiet and comfortable, with a huge bathroom with a super walk in shower. Next morning we walked around the beautiful gardens/grounds. It’s hard to believe how well maintained everything is, when they have no outside help! There are 5 gypsy style caravans for rent in the grounds, all different colours! Very pretty and romantic looking! A super children’s play area too! Something for everyone ! We loved our one night stay, and would love to return .
Cons: Just one small thing... it was lovely to have tea making facilities in our room, but we didn’t use it as we really don’t like powdered milk!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent and varied accepting that it was a typical French 'sweet' one and did not offer meats, eggs etc. The welcome was outstanding and the room and facilities very good indeed. Everything was done to make the evening meal an'event'- truly memorable with home prepared, country fayre and well chosen accompaniments. We enjoyed it so much more than the posh expensive and 'fiddly' hotel food we had experienced on the first 3 nights of our stay in France.
Cons: Nothing really. Maybe the bed was a little tired and approaching replacement, we tended to slide into the middle a bit. We soon adjusted and slept well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Visited many times always made welcome. Very comfortable and clean. Kids love it. Legendary breakfast. *****
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff who made us feel welcome. Breakfast was delicious with lots of home made and home grown produce.
Cons: Was all good!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very charming chambre d’hôtes. Wonderful ground with very well kept orchard and playground for the children. Very close to Forges des Eaux where you can easily find nice places to dine. The family room was spacious. Breakfast is great with many home made goods. The hosts are very attentive and friendly. Will come again.
Cons: Just one point which I hope can be easily fixed: the toilet in the family room had strong unpleasant smell.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts were so lovely. Very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. After a long drive this was an oasis of calm luxury. Sabine arranged a table for us at a local restaurant and the organic homemade breakfast was a feast fit for a king! The best of our road trip! Lots of hard work had been done by this lovely couple who had restored everything themselves to an impeccable standard. The accommodation and grounds were wonderful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property, clean and very welcoming, breakfast was delicious. This was our second time staying and it was just as good as the first!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bedrooms were spacious and well equipped. The food was excellent. The hosts were lovely and made us feel more like friends than visitors. An evening meal is offered some days which was also excellent and value for money.
Cons: Nothing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts Claude and Michel were delightful and gave us a warm welcome. As we were the only guests, we had been upgraded into their best accommodation at no extra charge. This was bedside but apart from the main house and had an expanse of French windows looking out over the garden and countryside. It was an airy, very comfortable room and the bed, too, was most comfortable. We had opted for the vegetarian evening meal, which was a very nice salad (which I am going to copy) followed by ratatouille and rice and then cheese and a dessert. It was nicely cooked and presented. An altogether most enjoyable first night of our holiday.
Cons: I can think of nothing we would have wanted that was not supplied.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The setting is beautiful. The rooms are lovely. The hosts are welcoming and totally accommodating. We would go back in a second!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Claude and Michel were the most wonderful, kind and considerate hosts you could ever ask for. We immediately warmed to them from the second we arrived at their beautiful home. They are a fantastic couple that clearly love what they do and go above and beyond to make sure your stay is as special as possible. The property is absolutely gorgeous in the most beautiful gardens. It really is idyllic. Shutters on the windows with gorgeous flowers and roses everywhere. The view is stunning, into the surrounding fields. We stayed at the ground floor apartment, which was not what we booked. However as no one was staying there, We were offered this at no extra cost! How wonderful. It was so stylish and cosy, with a wood burning fire and the most gorgeous decoration and double patio doors overlooking the stunning garden. We couldn’t believe it got the price. Our supper was absolutely delicious and served with great style and care. It was a fantastic price for what we had- 4 courses, melon in calvados to start, with a top notch charcuterie board, cheeseboard and a gorgeous dessert of rhubarb tart. Followed by coffee and mini brownies and shortbread. All of this for €18 euros!!! The breakfast was equally delicious with stunning cheeses, breads, home made jams, fruit and yoghurt. This was an amazing experience for us and we felt completely overwhelmed by it. Have no doubts about booking. You will have the most amazing time. Thank you Claude and Michel, we will never forget the time we scent at your gorgeous home. It was an absolute pleasure to meet you both. You made us feel so welcome and we loved every second.
Cons: There is nothing we did not like!

Pros: What an amazing place! We travelled from UK to France for a short break. We found this place as we wanted to visit Gerberoy (one of the most beautiful villages in France). We were amazed by the beauty of this country house. So beautiful! The room we stayed was recently build. Everything in there is a piece of art. We wished we could stay more. The people owning the place are extremely nice. We had a very nice (French) breakfast. 100% exceeded our expectations.

Pros: The owners were very hospitable and it was a very pleasant stay. The evening meal they served was of a very high quality. We had a suite, which was tastefully decorated had plenty of space, lovely and clean with a nice sized shower in the bathroom.
Cons: I did not think the breakfast was particularly that special. Usually in France you have sweet pastries as well as croissants. They served only one croissant each with some bread. Cereal, fruit, local cheese and yogurt were available. There was enough to eat but in France I do like to have sweet pastries to choose from. This is my only criticism of they whole stay and it's just a personal preference of mine.

Pros: Cloe is was wonderful. We loved our rooms and the breakfast was fantastic. The bathroom was very large and we stayed in a 3 person suite. Our 16yo daughter was in the little room to the side and it was perfect. We found the beds very hard and wished for fuller pillows but we were not uncomfortable. The area around this village is nice to explore at a slow pace. We stayed two nights. For the purpose of sightseeing one would have been enough but it was nice to relax and just enjoy our time away.
Cons: Very firm beds.

Pros: Friendly welcome
Cons: Traffic noise

The ForgesHotel, designed by Serge Trigano, offers a strong and very different concept; a traditional upmarket hotel associated with a true concept of leisure. Families make the most of a stay la carte where parents and children have their own activities but also enjoy moments together. Work reunions have magnificent views of the park and its surroundings. The Forgeshotel, situated in the Domaine de Forges, of contemporary architecture and design, rises like a cosy country house. Everything is done to make your stay unforgettable. All our rooms are spacious and bright, inviting you to rest and relax with either a book at the library or a surprise cocktail at the Ari's Bar, with either a beautiful buffet meal at the Table de Forges or a swim or a massage at the Spa & outdoor terrace. But also a wide variety of sporting activities at your disposal, not to mention the ForgeBeach and its superb sandy beach.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing Hotel, with a Great Kids Club for 4-14 The Rooms were clean and the Location is awesome with a Spa , pool and mini beach right next to the hotel.
Cons: Refused access to the restaurant before 9pm for not reserving prior to arrival. The restaurant was empty but they still said people are expected to come. This was so wrong , and we had 3 toddlers with us. Nobody told us that reservation was needed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel, very friendly staff, well organised, nice rooms, nice region.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, free and spacious parking, perfect starting point for trip into Normandy
Cons: Dinner only buffet available; price/quality is off Very busy restaurant, lot of groups
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent rooms and food at Dinner and breakfast was very fresh and good quality!
Cons: We were cycling from London to Paris and this was a stop off on the way. When we arrived we were very hot and bothered, check in was a bit long and very thorough!! In the circumstances a wicker check in would have been welcome, but this was the only real negative point in an excellent stay.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: the sports and swimming pool facilities - we used the tennis courts, driving range, beach volley, petanque, mini golf, table tennis and went on one of the suggested walking routes. We enjoyed staying here and being active with our children. Clean - though constant flies in our room. All staff were extremely helpful, friendly and serviced minded. Apart from when we checked out and there was a mistake on our bill (charged 4 adults for dinner instead of 2 adults and 2 children) It took two receptions over 30 minutes to sort this out. One was friendly, the other very sour and didn’t apologies for the mistake. Do check your bill before paying.
Cons: Slightly outdated hotel - it has a nice park area and lots of facilities, but it looks like maintence has been neglected which is a pity as the hotel has lots of potentiel if they just kept it slightly better. Indoor tennis courts needed serious cleaning. Mini golf course was not maintained very well.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely spacious rooms and bath room. Leisure facilities were very good!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very high standards throughout. Staff, Hygiene, presentation, facilities. Relaxing environment with plenty of choices to keep family occupied. Excellent choice of food in restaurant for dinner & breakfast.
6.7 Good
Pros: Rooms were very comfortable, and very good facilities at the hotel. The restaurant evening buffet and breakfast was very good ( staff very helpful and jolly too).
Cons: Reception and restaurant staff were good, but we found the female bar staff was a little wanting in customer service !...made us feel we were an inconvenience asking for tea ! We were also hoping for under cover parking for our motorcycles.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed here before and it’s one of my favorites in France. The grounds are really well maintained and match the surrounding area. The rooms are very spacious and well thought out. It has a lovely pool and spa and at night a great Casino. We hired some electric bikes from the hotel and went along the old railway line; this was great fun although the bikes are e20 to hire the deposit is e1000. But do it its good fun. We will certainly stay here again.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location and grounds
Cons: Lack of help at times from some staff

7.5 Good
Pros: Pool and spa very good.
Cons: Strange location. Difficulty communicating language barrier
6.7 Good
Pros: Rooms were clean and spacious, Had pool and Jacuzzi, Great Guest House if Staying for one or Two Nights
Cons: Meals times were a little disorganised, language Barrier was a little Problem But that’s down to us to not Speaking French .
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent facilities and very good buffet breakfast. Comfortable room with balcony overlooking the garden. Although the staff didn’t speak English they coped well, phoning a member of Staff who could explain check in to us in English and for the rest we got by with our minimal knowledge of the language and translation apps used by both sides. There was a comprehensive information folder in the room which was written in both English and French.
Cons: The Avenue the property was on did not come up on the car sat nav but we managed to find it using smart phone navigation apps. Not a fault of the property but something to be aware of.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: When we arrived the staff were very attentive. They gentleman personally showed us around. The rooms were clean and the bed very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were very welcome after cycling from Dieppe.
Cons: There were no staff available in the evening. Admittedly we arrived late ( around 7pm) but after we were booked in the staff seemed to go and there was no way to get a drink from the bar.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a nice spa hotel with friendly people. I like the minimalist decor. Good breakfast. Great.
Cons: It was all OK.
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast better than exoected - ham and cheese and fresh fruit
Cons: Shower attachment broken and soap dispenser didn’t work and I got impression they had been like that quite a while but no one was interested in fixing them The location was a bit odd and hard to find - the name was written in very small letters on the gate - no actual sign and with a name like that we were expecting quite a large property with a ‘Spa’, but it was just a cheap plastic jacuzzi alongside a fairly large swimming pool which was underground.
7.1 Good
Pros: The room was good and the breakfast was good, and the swimming pool looked good (even though we didn’t have time to use it)
Cons: The staff who greeted us on arrival weren’t the best, but it did make us laugh when we asked if we could have dinner and one of the staff asked the other if food could be cooked and he just said no. Found a nice restaurant nearby in the end so no harm done.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great with special surprises including Dragon fruit and fresh lychees. Best thing about this place was the staff who really went extra mile to do anything to make our stay special, and the swimming pool and jacuzzi/hot tub. The hot tub was wonderful! Pasquali was fantastic and generous from start to finish. I was sad that I didn’t learn that he also was masseuse until morning we were leaving or we would have enjoyed a nice massage.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic pool and lovely setting
Cons: Breakfast choices were limited

Pros: Tranquillity and comfort. Good fresh breakfast

Pros: The personal service provided by the host throughout my stay. The location was a little isolated and, as a cyclist, that did limit my choice of location for an evening meal, Fortunately the host provided an excellent meal with wine so choice was not an issue.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a little off the route for the Avenue Verte, but not far, at the top of a big hill
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A magnificent property standing on the hill top. Spacious room and sitting room plus small kitchenette on the same ( top) floor for all the rooms. We were the only ones staying so had it to ourselves Well appointed bedroom and bathroom V comfortable bed. Secure storage for the bikes. Very good breakfast
Cons: We had great difficulty finding the property! But really it is only 3kms outside Main town For us ( as cyclists) it was a pity that no evening meal was available as we were not able to go out. We were warned about this and bought a cold meal with us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is tops. Two large windows at the foot of my bed opened to the east towards the rolling hills of this beautiful French countryside. The sunrise that woke me was truly a site to behold and was the perfect way, visually, to start the day. Carla is a fantastic and very accommodating host. She made us all feel very welcome and helped us out by arranging for us to have a meal in town, as we arrived late in the day from a cycle trip. The grounds are stunning, to say the least. I would recommend this perfect château for your stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a surprise! The images do not do justice. The property was perfect for a luxury relax after a long day on our bikes. We didn’t realise we had access to a kitchen, lounge and the garden. We also paid for breakfast - which was very much worth it especially as hardly anything is open in August on the Avenue Verte route. The staff were also very helpful and welcoming .
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We were well received by our host when we arrived at the property. She explained everything to us in detail concerning what was available in the manoir. Very helpful! The place itself is very pretty and especially clean. A little far from any good restaurants but we found somewhere excellent to eat about 15km away in the town of Morgny. The breakfast was fine, a continental buffet so no surprise there. We unfortunately did not have time to visit the gardens as the weather left a little to be desired. View from the room was great.
Cons: Didn't like the fact the bathroom was not ensuite but that was my mistake for not checking more thoroughly. The other thing was the super bright halogen that lights up the manoir at night and shined directly into our room (stays on the whole night), close the shutters immediately if light bothers you.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An extremely comfortable bed with good quality linen and big, fluffy towels in the modern en-suite bathroom. A spacious guest lounge with TV is available plus a small kitchen with complimentary hot drinks (tea/coffee/chocolate) and cookies. Breakfast included home made preserves and fruit compots and we were even offered eggs and bacon! We declined, preferring to enjoy a good French breakfast with flaky croissants and crispy bread. The hosts were super helpful.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The bread at breakfast was served hot with a local cheese. Staff was very friendly and not pushy.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice location situated in the countryside. Beautiful building and grounds
Cons: Breakfast was advertised as a full English included but was a continental breakfast. Although what we did have was pleasant enough.
7.5 Good
Pros: Spacious building and grounds. Stylish bedroom and bathroom with shared use of adjacent guest kitchenette. Also useful access to the chateau’s kitchen. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Unable to provide table d’hote as offered when booked. Ended up having to order take away ourselves from local town which was of poor quality since we did not have a car to go out. We were the only people in the otherwise empty chateau, due to owner living elsewhere and the housekeeper having separate accommodation in the grounds.

Pros: Silvia was really warm and welcoming. She has renovated and decorated this beautiful old house wonderfully well and the location is perfect - beautiful countryside and Spring birdsong!
Cons: Nothing could have been better
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful peaceful setting, shops and restaurants only a short distance away. Sylvia was a star host and nothing was too much trouble. Tastefully decorated rooms with an eye for detail. Lovely breakfast with some home made preserves!! Would have loved a couple more nights!!
Cons: Only having one night to enjoy it!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful historic home with large garden in a rural setting. Just a shame we arrived after dark and were quickly away the following morning after a lovely breakfast. The owner was very welcoming and was happy to chat over breakfast, in English, but also I suspect in French and German. Would suit groups of cyclists and families alike.
Cons: We had too little time to enjoy a coffee or wine in the beautiful garden. Not a criticism, but be aware the bathroom serving the upstairs budget double and twin room is on the ground floor. A toilet is however on the first floor landing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming and interesting hosts. Lovely old house in perfect location for our cycling. Stored our bicycles securely. Tasty breakfast. Comfortable round bed and funky bathroom. Thank you

Pros: A lovely old farmhouse set in a countryside garden. After cycling all day it was great to get a lift from the nice lady into Gournay and back for dinner.Breakfast was very good. We had the larger bedroom which had a very good bathroom.
Cons: Not a big deal, but the room was a bit darker than we expected, on account of being in an old farmhouse with small windows.
