The location's perfect. It's right in front of the ski resort and the staff is doing their best to communicate with you in English. Free breakfast and the staff were accommodating. Free rider's kit - you get stickers and a towel, and even bathroom slippers.
The toilet upstairs need more cleaning. (Bin needs to be emptied daily)
Budget option and super close to the ski lift.
Not quite as I’d imagined from the pics, small and rundown and breakfast was pretty inconsistent but fine as a budget option. Good value for the area.
Great atmosphere, Great Hostel Ambiance, Warm Welcome.
The room where I was staying is spacious and it has a small balcony with beanbags. The hostel is very close to the carlift. The staff (Ana) is helpful.
The property is extremely difficult to find. I arrived in Tbilisi around 4am and went straight to Gudauri. Luckily i booked a private transfer. The driver used the GPS to look for the property but couldnt find the road to the property. Tried to call the property but the phone was not working. If I didnt book the private transfer, I can't imagine what would happen to me especially hardly can find people that understand english.
Location is excellent, price is pretty unbeatable.
I am fully aware that a hostel for this price will not be a high end accommodation. That is fair. However: - I booked a four bed room (advertised with photos) but was informed on arrival that "we have changed our concept, four bed rooms are no longer available". Then why can you still book them? - The information I received from the hostel pre-arrival would not have been sufficient to let me find the hostel. It took me a while asking around and walking around. - When I found them, nobody was there. I tried calling the phone number given on the page, unavailable. If I didn't speak Russian and hadn't asked several people for help, not sure what would have happened. - The breakfast photo is completely misleading. Fair enough if a hostel doesn't offer freshly cut melons in winter or several places of mozzarella or jugs of orange juice. But why advertise it? Had I expected a normal hostel breakfast, I still would have been a bit disappointed, but the image is almost cynical.
