Pros: The hotel is in a beautiful old style Manor House with really interesting decor and antiques. The gardens are beautiful with chickens and a goat. There was storage for our bikes which was handy as we were cycling across Brittany. Our host spoke English very well and was really friendly. We opted for dinner at the hotel as there’s not much around the rural area without a car, however we were glad we did as it was lovely and we met a French family and tried to practise our French! The breakfast was great with bread and fresh croissant and pastries. The beds were comfy and the facilities in the room were clean. We recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to Brain Sur Villaine. Pros: Lovely friendly owners/hosts. Feeding the goats! Enjoying first camping experience. It's a bit of a cross between camping and glamping so if you enjoy that sort of thing then you will enjoy this place. We slept in the African hut.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: the overall atmosphere - the facilities, the rooms, the staff and the underlying ethos of slowing down and unwinding.... I was made to feel really welcome and they all accommodated my very limited french!
9.5 Excellent
Cons: If the hotel and the restaurant have a good Breton tone, we regret that, in the menu, you made the mistake of presenting your suppliers on a B4 administrative map while some of them are in Loire-Atlantique and certainly consider themselves as Breton and non “ligérien”. The Breton reality is a historic Britanny with 5 departments.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great and good place for relaxing Good restaurants near the hotel.
Cons: Spa and pool was too small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is superb, in the countryside but close to La Gacilly. It’s eco credentials are well earned, veg & fruit from the garden, real emphasis on tourism that doesn’t impact on the environment. Quiet, peaceful & surrounded by nature, what more could you want? Oh, & the costs of accommodation & the restaurant were a bargain. Well done Le Gree

Cons: Hard to say. Le Sabot Gourmand can work depending on your schedule and objectives. You have remember it is a quaint country hotel, so will not function like a major chain hotel. Pipriac has limited public transport options, which is no fault of Le Sabot Gourmand, but bear that in mind if you are without a car for whatever reason.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The couple who ran the hotel were excellent and couldn’t do enough for us. Room was good, food was delicious.
Cons: We only stayed one night as we were cycling from Biarritz to St Malo and were on a time restraint. Would most certainly stay again
7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast on Saturday, freshly cooked rolls and croissants.
Cons: Sunday breakfast rolls were not freshly cooked and were too hard to eat. Shower difficult to use because it would not stay in the holder.

Pros: Very Good Basic Hotel - very clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were spotless, tidy , bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean and fully functional. We only stayed overnight as we were breaking a long journey - but it was perfect for that. The Hotel is easy to access from out of town. there is plenty of parking as its located next to a shopping centre - that had everything including a fuel forecourt. We didn't eat in the hotel as its only a short distance from the town centre - on the canal ( useful tip is to use the shortcut thru the Car dealership next door - it cuts 5 minutes off the walk into town). Redon was surprisingly interesting and very picturesque - with the canals meeting the river and all the old building around it. plenty of bars and restaurants within a 10 minute walk of the hotel as is the town centre. All in All we enjoyed our stay in Redon.
Cons: No complaints here- the Hotel is a basic 2 star -the views aren't fantastic but very well kept and managed and well located for amenties.

Cons: The staff, the location and above all the value for money.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful lady running reception. Arranged for our bikes to be stored overnight on the premises. Very clean room.Located on the outskirts of Redon opposite a small retail park with supermarket and fast food restaurant. Nevertheless a quiet location on the outskirts of the town.
Cons: Nothing
5.5 Okay
Pros: The price
Cons: Car park not secure. Cleaning patchy. Smelt of cigarette smoke. Room very small. Shower very small.
4.5 Okay
Pros: everything would have been fine except for the poor management - see below
Cons: The towels weren't clean and I had to ask for new ones. The drain plug in the basin did not work. The right-hand bedside light did not work. The waste bins had not been emptied.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, happy to store our bikes. Room was well appointed, comfy bed and lovely hot shower, advice given for eating in the evening which was brilliant.
Cons: We were cycling so a little too far from the city centre for us and up a hill at the end of a long day. In a car no problems but we had to get a taxi back in to the city for something to eat.
7.5 Good
Pros: The Bed was very comfortable - but only one very small pillow, and the room was very clean although very basic. We were visiting friends and family around Redon, so for us the location was fine and it was very easy to find. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: The room wasn't very well insulated so we could hear a lot of noise from other rooms and from people talking loudly in the corridors at night. Thought it was a bit overpriced for the standard of the room - have stayed in cheaper hotels that have had better room facilities eg Kettle.
7.5 Good
Pros: Shower was nice and hot, the welcome could not have been better.
Cons: Hairdryer would be useful but realize that budget hotels do not have this facility so may not use again.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice helpful staff - looked after our bikes.
Cons: No air con.
7.0 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, everything worked okay. Perfectly adequate stop-over place for not very much money.
Cons: Considering the price I don't have any quibbles. Such hotels are almost always in the commercial zones - ideal for the commercial traveller, not quite so for tourist who may want to take a look around the town or city. But for the price...
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing, we only wanted to have a bed for the night, nothing fancy but to be quiet and clean and we did not found that unfortunately. Nathalie Field
Cons: Everything from the strong cigarette smell through the night, even though it is a non smoking hotel, very thin walls, so much so that the family next to our room and the surrounding rooms for that matter could have been in the room with us (that is hearing them talking, going to the loo and so on...) and not because they were particularly noisy, just because of the shoddy construction of the building to finish with the state of the quilt - I was told it was fine, just burnt!!!!

Pros: Warm welcome from lovely owner who phoned local restaurant to ask if our dog would be welcome without us asking her, so thoughtful. Characterfull traditional house which was warm and super clean.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, the host was very helpful and the dog was a joy to meet!
Cons: Restaurant facilities in the village were poor but this was not our host's fault.
7.0 Good
Cons: There was no soap to wash in the bathroom

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Excellent host. Thank you
Cons: Sadly the pillows were uncomfortable
5.8 Okay
Pros: Lots of good coffee at breakfast. Lovely dining room. Owner a bit forbidding at first but warmed up and became friendly. Convenient to main road between Rennes and Nantes.
Cons: We found it listed under category of farm which it was not. It was a bit like staying in a museum. Air in rooms felt stale and when we opened window it was firmly shut. No restaurants open and no offer to prepare a light meal. No TV or tea making facilities in room and uninteresting breakfast i.e. no croissants, just bread from night before lightly toasted. No fresh fruit. So too expensive for what we got.

Cons: Bed
