Pros: Very unusual arty property in the centre of a village with very narrow streets. the house is full of artistic touches and very unusual décor. The breakfast was beautifully served.
Cons: The drive along the narrow streets was not easy. It would have been better to have parked in the car park at the entrance to the village and walk up to the house. There are no restaurants open in the village on a Monday and only one bar which sold very limited food not of a good quality.
Pros: Lovely quiet rustic hotel in the heart of the village. Bed was really comfortable.
Pros: Rustic & very attractive. Tastefully modernised.
Cons: A warning that you have to park 300 metres away down cobbled street would help. Would not suit anyone disabled or elderly.
Pros: Beautiful and calming original murals on the walls and ceilings, good breakfast, really helpful owner who was very patient with our lack of Spanish.
Pros: The room was simple but comfortable. Lovely views across the rooftops to the mountains. A beautiful building sympathetically converted. The best G&T of the holiday in the pretty courtyard garden.
Cons: It was a shame that the hotel did not do meals (apart from breakfast) because they have a lovely dining room and the options in town are limited.
Pros: Very nice hotel to stay in a lovely area of Spain. Don't expect anything grand but that is the charm of this old mountain house. Very good breakfast
Pros: Perfect location, very friendly and helpful owner.
Pros: Exceptionally helpful owner/manager, bijou property and amazing village. Not far from the main road to accommodate a really interesting overnight stay.

Pros: The village, friendly staff, splendid breakfast and dinner, the views. Perfect place to have a weekend escape.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and familiar, the rooms were very good and the breakfast was very good also.
Pros: Situated in small village. Room was adequate. Bed was comfortable. Owner opened his restaurant just for us and we had delightful steaks & wine. All in all good value for money.
Cons: Breakfast was only rolls, orange juice with tea & coffee. Selection of fruit or yoghurts would have been nice. Hot water was a bit erratic & no wifi.
Cons: We expected the restaurant of the Posada to be open, but in fact, as we were the only guests, it was impossible to have dinner. We had to go back to Bejar to find a restaurant.
Pros: Great location. Nice rural hotel
Cons: Poor breakfast. Weak sound blocking. Very weak wifi network
With a stay at Posada Puerta Grande in Candelario, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Maldonado Plaza and Palace of the Dukes of Bejar. Featured amenities include luggage storage and a library.
Pros: Lovely hotel, very comfortable and very well located.
Cons: There were extremely limited food options for lunch, dinner and breakfast. The hotel couldn’t provide us with any food even though they said breakfast and dinner were available. The following day the hotel suggested we should have gone to a nearby, larger town for dinner even though we had no car and there are only 3 buses a day. The town is beautiful, but should only be a day trip, not a good place to stay overnight.
Pros: The staff excellent
Pros: The friendly staff and comfort
Cons: The food this time was disappointing
Pros: Lovely hotel in beautiful village. Friendly staff.
Cons: Sadly almost all the restaurants were closed as it was midweek out of season but that’s not surprising.

Pros: The evening meal at 10 euro including a carafe of wine,a taster and a liqueur is value beyond belief, especially considering the excellent quality. The location is idyllic and so peaceful, well located for both Salamanca and Ávila,in 20 years of travelling throughout Spain never had such excellent value.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
Pros: Very polite. We arrived later than dinner service hour and they served us without problem.
Cons: An stupid thing...the orange juice in the morning was containing too much pulp, so my young daughters didn't like it...
Pros: Good food, excellent location and value for money. Second visit and will definitely return
Pros: The dinner was excellent value for money, it was a very quiet location with beautiful views over a lake
Cons: Fortunately we had upgraded to a duplex room with a terrace. We would not have stayed in the originally booked standard room. The location is very isolated but OK for a one night stop.
Pros: The dinner. Very good and excellent value.
Cons: The bedroom was upstairs and the bathroom was downstairs.
Pros: Set in an almost deserted village by the side of a lake . Hotel is quirky but very clean and comfortable . The great asset is the evening meal . At 10€ the meal includes a starter , main , desert with a carafe of wine finishing with a choice of local liqueurs . Amazing ! Would love to go back .
Cons: Nothing . All good .
Pros: Amazing historic location.
Cons: Could have better Wi-Fi
Pros: I liked the view of the lake and the peacefulness in the garden. The menu was only 10 euros - good quality and included a nice carafe of wine and a complimentary drink at the end.

Pros: This place is a just wonderful. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable, food is good, coffee is great. Wonderful location, staff are friendly - looking forward to my next visit.
Pros: Views fantastic Staff superb Excellent location en route to and from Portugal Great value L

Pros: The staff was very friendly. The Cleanliness It's very good for a Hostal
Pros: The owners were lovely people, and really went out of their way to meet my requests. They do laundry, ready same day. The restaurant food is very good, and of brilliant value for money. The place is very comfortable and clean. Good location in the middle of Bejar.
Cons: All I'd say is that Bejar as a town is nice in its own way, but perhaps not a brilliant tourist attraction.
Pros: There are two nearby bars/restaurants, but we ate at the Hostel which also had local residents eating at the same time. things were simple but adequate. The staff at the Hostel were extremely kind and helpful. The location is close to the "old" part of the town and suitable for exploring the walls etc. Parking is nearby, although we travelled by motorcycle and as ever, found a space adjacent to the Hostel for free!
Pros: The room was nice and very modern looking. The breakfast was good with some variety.
Cons: The bed was small, I am 1,81m and my feet stayed out of the bed. The room was very hot during the night!
Pros: Decent evening meal at low cost.
Pros: The manager (owner) "went the extra mile" for me quite literally when he discovered there was no taxi to take me to the station he took me himself, despite it being during the breakfast service time.
Cons: The breakfast coffee was not hot enough
Pros: Clean, bright room with excellent shower, close to centre. Owner kept our bicycles secure overnight.
Cons: Poor Wi-Fi. Breakfast offering compatively limited for the price.

Pros: Warmth and friendliness of Lise (spelling may be wrong!). Rustic charm of the building and room.
Cons: Pre packed croissants were the only slight disappointment, otherwise a very pleasant stay.
Pros: Friendly host. Nice room and bath.
Cons: Although in the countryside, revelers and noise until the wee hours. Breakfast is sparse... no fruit, need more coffee.
Pros: Cozy and charming place. Staff really friendly.
Cons: We just stopped for a night in travel to France. It’s a place to enjoy the region and rural culture. Our fault.
Pros: It was a little gem in a quaint village with lovely local folk who were extremely helpful when we got a little lost looking for the hotel. The hotel was just perfect and the staff were warm and friendly from our arrival to departure. It was oldie worldie but with all mod cons which was just fab. The bed was huge and very comfy and the room was a delight! Loved it!!
Cons: We really enjoyed our short stay and could not fault the hotel in any way!
Pros: Nothing really except yoghurt and jam
Cons: Everything else. All done from a pokey little table. Needs to be a good spread with quality bread and pastries. Coffee nicely done but strange taste.

Pros: One of the best hotels ive stayed at the people there are just like the scenary there absolutely amazing loved it will surely return soon thanks guys
Pros: Really nice people, so laid back it was refreshing. The hostel had a relaxed ski chalet feel to it, I loved the easy chairs, bookshelves and games, I'd really like to go back during the ski season, it just felt like a great place to spend the evening at the end of a good day on the piste. I think the Hostel is a gem at a budget price.
Cons: There wasn't anything to dislike. It is what it is, a budget priced hostel offering clean, basic accommodation to the undemanding guest in a friendly, laid back environment. If you want posh and luxury, pay three times more somewhere else.
Pros: The owners were the friendliest, kindest and most accommodating people you could ever hope to meet. Views from the hostel are beautiful. There are great walks nearby for trail runs and hiking.
Pros: Perfect location. Very close to main road, but you feel like you’re in the mountains. Very close to La Covatilla ski station. Javi was very helpful and very kind. Typical mountaineering hostel. Wonderful.

Pros: Absolutely everything...!!!
Cons: Only negative was that patio area was not in use due to late in season..!
Pros: Friendly welcome. The owner was keen to ensure we understood her (Spanish) instructions regarding keys, heating, etc. The room was comfortable and quiet and the tea-making facility a bonus. The cafe/bar downstairs is very pleasant.
Cons: It was a cold morning and the heating went off before we got up at 8.30am. A rug on the tiled floor would have helped.
Pros: Kettle with tea and coffee Room was nice and warm, important as outside temperature was below freezing.
Cons: The mattress on the beds could really do with updating as they were a little lumpy.
Pros: Basic accommodation but clean and functional. No-one on site overnight. Let ourselves out in the morning.
Pros: Warmth of the owners in the hostel and the restaurant, nothing was too trouble.
Cons: Would have liked a hot breakfast and a bigger tv in the room. They have got a lovely saloon / lounge with microwave seating and large TV.
Pros: so cool and cute atico
Cons: This is only a suggestion: I think they should change the open/close hours, the check-in/out hours and the breakfast hour (9am is too late). Everything elese was perfect.
Pros: Brilliant mixed grill on a hot stone in their restaurant.
Pros: Nicely restored property in the centre of town. Welcoming and friendly staff. Decent WiFi
Cons: Lighting was poor in the rooms. The double bed was a very small queen size. Breakfast a bit basic but that's pretty normal for the area.

Pros: nice staff, calm and quite in order to be able to have a nice rest.
Pros: all very good , great breakfast
Pros: always good have stayed there before
Pros: Breakfast was fine
Cons: The staff need training in courtesy and basic human relations. When we arrived, we were greeted with a cold "Do you have a reservation?" We had to make six trips in through the front doors to bring in our luggage, and there was no help from the desk, although no one else was there. She held the door for us for trip #5.
Pros: Well situated in a small town on a quiet road. The property is well maintained and there is a sense of quality about the decor. The room came with a huge balcony and more time to enjoy would be great.
Cons: The dining area was a little soul less. The town boasts food tourism and I am sure there was lots of that. The food at the hotel was OK but underwhelming considering what we have enjoyed en route. The food was reasonably priced. Just a little average.
Pros: Clean modern room
Cons: The shower hose did not fit the wall fitting. It had to be hand held
Pros: Everything was excellent
Pros: The suite was very comfortable and well appointed
Cons: Having stayed here previously and enjoyed the breakfast greatly, we were looking forward to the same standard for dinner. Not to be. Dinner was one of the worst meals we have eaten in Spain. Some previous reviews have given this restaurant good reports so do not know what went wrong on our stay
Cons: No WiFi in the room
Pros: Room had balcony
Cons: Price for two dogs

Cons: Nothing. Everything was fine.
Pros: Really nice views of a vast countryside. Ample free parking. Good Spanish cooking.
Cons: Found nothing to dislike.
Pros: Views from balcony room are excellent
Pros: The location and pleasant, English speaking young lady (daughter in a family run hotel) Simple but good food.

Pros: room size, nice location
Cons: lack of flexibility of the reception and the owners (said breakfast was only at 8.30h and then was earlier), bad breakfast, noise between rooms is horrible, you can not sleep. the toilet seat was broken
Pros: the location & views
Cons: It was last week in June, although hotel open for business, it & services in area gearing up for holiday rush so very quiet, swimming pools, restaurants etc were closed & full menus not available.
Pros: No smoking; spacious; comfortable bed
Cons: Heating not switched on in the morning (we were at 1100 metres altitude), lack of good restaurant in house; poor breakfast available at extra charge. No undercover parking.

Pros: Perfectly situated in the center of this small spa town .
Pros: We were traveling by bicycle. The staff was super accommodating and stored the bicycles for us overnight.
Pros: It was central and available. Arrangements for breakfast were bent to accommodate my early departure When I returned the heating had activated automatically so was a pleasant warm re entry Serafina (staff ) on early to allow me to have 7am breakfast was super nice. Even helped me put my backpack on.
Cons: I thought the wifi was annoyingly week. I had to keep moving about and logging in again . The insert card to activate lights is a system at many hotels but I find it frustrating when you’re exiting in the dark. Hard to find the lock to open the door. It would have been cosier if there had been a spare blanket it the room. I like to know I’ll remain warm overnight when the auto heat cuts out.
Cons: Nothing specific
Pros: Great location. Clean and pleasant room.
With a stay at Hotel Casa Beletri in Bejar, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Puerta del Pico and Judio David Melul Museum. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
Pros: Friendly staff, very clean room, comfy bed and good choice of tapas in bar.nothing
Cons: Nothing .
Pros: The hotel is well positioned just off the A66 through central Spain. It is pin clean and the staff are excellent. Excellent dog walking area opposite the hotel and easy parking. There is a tapas bar attached offering excellent bites and super tasty red wine at a VERY fair price. Recommended!
Cons: There is not much to dislike. The electronically controlled lighting and shutter system is a little baffling, and eggs/bacon for breakfast would be nice. At €80 for double room and pet, the cost is toward the upper end of the cost scale for hotels at this level in central Spain.
Pros: Good size room, clean and quiet.
Cons: Internet was intermittent, I spent 2 hours doing what should have taken 10 minutes, despite the efforts to fix it by the man on reception, very frustrating. The lights in the room are supposed to be on some sort of sophisticated system, but they come on when you don't want them and turn off when you do. Press the switch by the bed and the motorised window blind starts up!
Pros: Was a great stop off for us traveling from Duquesa to Santander . Staff were really friendly, food in the restaurant was excellent. I would definitely stay here again. Great for dogs , great path /disused railway track for walks across the road.
Cons: Was only 1 pillow per person !!! ( personally I like 2 pillows!) but above all was truly great , very clean .
Pros: This is a hidden gem for an overnight stay with an excellent restaurant and friendly staff. There is a walking path across the street where the rail station used to be. The path goes directly to the small town in an uphill climb (less than 15 minutes).
Cons: There was nothing to dislike.
Pros: Very comfortable room and very accommodating as we had our 8 mth old labrador with us. We ate in the bar of the bistro and the food was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The main restaurant doesn't open until 9.15pm which is late for us, would have preferred it to be open nearer to 7pm. Not so bad as we ate in the Bistro bar.
Pros: Very comfortable beds and a high standard of cleanliness. Good to have both a bar and a restaurant. The restaurant food is good quality and the tapas we tried were excellent. The old railway line across the road is good for a walk to the old town which is pretty but comprises vertical rather than horizontal streets. The hotel is very close to the motorway with easy access on and off. Reverse your car onto the parking area as it can be quite busy when you're trying to leave.
Cons: We had been up since 5am so found it a long wait till 9pm for an evening meal but that's to be expected in traditional areas of Spain. Shower attachment kept flying out of holder. Interesting control panel. Lights seemed to have a mind of their own but the temperature control was reliable.
Pros: Convenient for us driving down to Portugal. Good dog walking very near.
Cons: Hard mattresses
Cons: Really nice hotel with wonderfully attentive staff.

Pros: Good location
Pros: Amazing hotel in a small, magical town in mountains. Very nice and helpfull host. Rooms were clean and breakfest very good.
Pros: secure parking and a really nice little town. Our host was very helpful despite the language barrier (our fault).
Cons: Wifi was non existent in my room.
Pros: The location of the hotel was lovely. The staff were very friendly,
Cons: Our room was right above the fountain outside, which kept us awake all night. The mattresses on the beds were worn out and very uncomfortable. The facilities in the room didn’t match the description of the room. The hotel felt generally unloved and very tired .
Pros: Very nice hotel in charming mountain village. Safe indoor parking (around 6 euros). Candelario is easy to get to from the motorway. The hotel is clean and well located. Restaurants and cafes within walking distance.
Pros: The breakfast is better than expected (even though simple).
Pros: room was good value, breakfast was not so good.
Cons: the weather :)
Pros: Somewhat upscale hotel with excellent location right at the start of the village. Pretty room with nice wooden floors. Extremely friendly, helpful, solicitous staff.
Cons: The room lighting was too dim and one of the few lights was out. For modern digital times, there were too few outlets in the room. The heating was just adequate.
Pros: Convenience, near the ski resort and right next to really good restaurants.
Pros: The " owner" and partner were especially friendly and helpful. We were in winter conditions in the mountains and they provided extra comforts, and a good dinner for us only
Cons: No negatives
