The warm welcome and friendly staff The mattress on the bed was uncomfortable
Very friendly, welcoming and cosy We would prefer a more flexible breakfast tariff as a cup of coffee and piece of toast would be nice - but not for 14 euros
Nice location, friendly staff Nothing
From the moment we arrived all the young staff were, not only polite, but very friendly. The dinner was excellent and we even had an extra compementary starter which they were trying out for customer comments. Our lovely room, although at the side of the hotel, was peaceful and overlooked the River Rance - our "alarm call" was from the ducks in the morning! Even though we had officially booked out 10 minutes earlier, the lass on reception couldn't do enough for us in helping us to use our wi-fi and to fax information back to our immobilier in Guingamp, when he telephoned to say that the offer on our house purchase had been accepted. She even brought us coffee.
Sky tv, good clean towels and toiletries, nice comfortable bar
Nobody bothering you
Good price for a reasonable room Several errors on the Bill.
I would like to have gone nude in the spa, and you did have a sauna at one time but that was removed.....I was looking forward to this also.
Clean comfortable hotel with good restaurant and well located in Dinan Port
Central position within the town was excellent Accommodation suited our needs completely. No dislikes
Crntral postion and great price
Short city trip, explored area
Proximity to the old town and restaurants and ease of walking around the area. Good parking area on site
Wireless internet was free, not EUR 1 per hour.
The position in the heart of the historical Dinan. The old building, a former monastery. I'll recommend it for the kindness of the staff.
Have stayed before - very friendly basic hotel. The room this time was not as good as previous - Room 20. I had to stoop all the time as there were low sloping ceilings. Also the shower did not stay on the attachment we had to hold it all the time.
Friendly staff. No "frills". Ideally situated in the middle of Dinan.
Location in City centre, inclusive parking, Rather splendid facade and good use of old building. Friendly staff Shower has push button control on hand piece so you have only one hand left to wash with. This was very inconvenient. A timed push button control on the shower control system would have been better
location. friendly staff the lift. the electics.
Staff and manangement were very accomodating and friendly. The loacation of the hotel was very convenient to a wonderful and historic city, Dinan. There was nothing we didn't like.
Friendly staff, secure parking, central location - just within old town walls, excellent breakfast
under cover car parking
The welcome at Reception
Convenient and had good parking.
Nice rooms, very clean, good central location, still quiet area. Good underground parking. The staff, both a man and a woman did not seem prepared at all, to handle even the computer. They had messed up the reservation.
Good location. The receptionist was friendly, but didn't speak english at all. There was something like a closet in the bathroom!
location near all sights/centre bed was uncomfortable, sagged in centre
Friendly, helpfull staff. The big price difference between internet booking and room prices directly booked at the hotel.
the only problem was that the bath needed an anti-slip mat for having a shower
It's central location and car parking and helpful staff No
Convenient, clean, excellent breakfast. Good staff
Lovely Helpful staff. In a perfect location. Parking very near Hotel and very reasonable Everything was Excellent
Great, helpful staff. Immaculately clean room.
Very comfortable room and excellent shower cubicle.Breakfast was great value. Parking was convenient and reasonable in price. the duvet was much too hot for early September. A blanket was available but no top sheet.
All the staff spoke very good english and the location was perfect The price charged was different to that when booked
Clean and comfortable with an excellent large bathroom. Convenient and reasonably priced underground car park. Hotel situation ideal for exploring Dinan. Staff helpful and polite.
The bathroom was spacious and well-equipped. We requested a twin-bedded room. We were allocated a double until we complained.
Noisy karaoke/cafe outside, until early hours of the morning.
Our room (24) was a generous size, and had a view onto the square. Breakfast was self-service but we also had the option of either a fried egg or omelette - a nice extra. The staff were friendly and offered good advice on where to eat in Dinan.
Nice stylish place, really good restaurant. Free parking a block away behind the castle.
location - excellent in town centre close to everything. The room and bathroom were very nice. Breakfast not included in price of room
location to city, room was functional and big enough for a short stay, good price and quiet the view from the room was poor butno issue for 2 nights but, the shower was v small with very big taps
Excellent location for the centre of Dinan.
The room and the location of the hotel was excellent
Cleanliness. Our room was directly over the kitchen and cooking smells went on well into the evening.
the position of the hotel was excellent, with access to restaurants and the city first class
Perfect position in the center of town. Nice view. We had a family apartments with two bedrooms, comfortable bathroom, easy wi-fi access.
Exceedingly helpful, friendly staff to guests with bikes.
The friendly reception and being able to l;ock our cycles away safely. we enjoyed the evening meal the fruit salad at breakfast was disappointing We were cold, the thermostat was set low. we had cycled 55 miles and were tired so got cold very quickly in the room. needed extra pillows as always sleep on 2
Public Areas and Garden were very impressive, Staff very helpful and spoke excellent english. Hotel recently refurbished A special offer free breakfast was on offer to late booking walk in guests whereas pre booked guests paid 13.50 for breakfast which was nevertheless good
Lovely Hotel very friendly staff, close to centre, parking out front( E9 per day )
The Garden patio was beautiful. It was worth staying at the hotel for the garden alone. The location is perfect. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Our room was a bit outdated. It was pretty warm in our room and we were on the front of the building so if we left the window open it would have been too loud. Ask for a garden view room on the backside of the hotel if it is during the warmer months.
The hotel is very central (within the walls of the medieval city) and the centre of town with its shops, cafes, restaurants and creparies is a short stroll away. The hotel is friendly and welcoming with a great little garden at the back where you can have a drink in piece and quiet. There is also free wifi internet access for guests. There is no parking for the hotel, which means having to pay during the day in the car park opposite the hotel. Also there is only very limited public space in the hotel, with no restaurant, or other amenities.
Very charming hotel, especially the garden. Ideal for a relaxing drink. Excellent position for exploring the town. Easy to find and good parking facilities. Friendly and very helpful, knowledgable, staff. Rooms were rather expensive - we did upgrade to a garden room to avoid the noise of passing traffic at the front and the difference in price was large. Coffe/tea making facilities would be a good idea. Breakfast was good but expensive compared to others we had elsewhere - at the prices for the rooms it should have been included without a surcharge.
Great central location. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely relaxing atmosphere and a beautiful garden. Could include continental breakfast in the price.
the hotel is very well located, clean and well kept, with the best showers in France! The owner was there every day--quite friendly and helpful. The town of Dinan is charming and historic with many good restaurants. It makes an excellent base to explore Brittany.
Very nice garden, excellent location, quiet position.
Helpful staff and clean rooms. Bathroom was well equipped and clean too. Nice breakfastroom with opportunity to eat on terrace in good weather. The hotel overlooks the market square in Dinan and the noise from local youths was awful. It carried on until 4am and prevented any sleep. Would not recommend the hotel for this reason.
Very good value. Staff very welcoming and informative. Location fantastic for sightseeing. Hotel garden adds somthing very special to this hotel. Pity there is only public car parking but that is the same for most of the hotels in the area.
Excellent staff, comfortable bed and WiFi availability Design of room very poor.
Staff were helpful and polite. Restaurant was comfortable and food fresh and well prepared The room was grubby and the wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom. The heating in the room was not working.
Friendly welcome. After long drive being able to get a hot drink and biscuit in the room. Heating if required both in the room and bathroom independantly. Lovely even soft but firm mattress beds and clean pillows.
Friendly service of the staff, location to the main route, clean and tidy.
Dining facilities and food were good There was a kettle but no tea/coffee and biscuits as stated in the room brochure, however we were brought tea/coffee when we requested some.
Good for a night, the room is small, but has what you need. Clean, and good with handtowels and bathtowels. It's possible to buy something to drink/eat. Like the security in nights, there is a gate with a code. And free internet. Very difficuelt to find the hotel when there's no streetname, number.
Didn't realise it was a motel very close to a motorway
I was glad to be on the lowest level. As an older person with luggage - that was very welcome. The food and the servers were both appreciated.
All o.k. Difficult to find, not well signposted from main road.
Position of hotel and access to autoroute and roads to the coastal areas. Lack of seats for relaxing outdoors in the sun. Only area with seats outdoors was mostly in the shade alongside the restaurant
Friendly Owner, very helpful and cheerful. Nothing, it was perfect.
The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about Dinan and environs. The room was roomy, clean, reasonably priced and very well located. As a classic car owner, the availability of a excellent, secure, proximate, garage was a huge plus. The owner recommended a really good restaurant as well. While there is no reason why he should, since it is reasonable for hosts to speak the local language, the owner also spoke excellent English as well.
Clean and modern interior, friendly helpful staff, excellent location for Dinan fairly good value for money. As reception closed at 8pm it would have been nice to have tea or coffee making facilities in the bedroom so that you could have a hot drink before bed, especially as we were travelling with children and were not able to stay out too late.
close to the city, quiet location, good breakfast, very friendly staff
Friendly and helpful owner/manager
The owners were very nice and helpful. It was very quaint and well decorated. Very comfortable bed. A little trouble with hot water for showering on a few days.
Friendliness of the owners; convenience; tranquility; accessibility; would book again
Location - just outside old town walls. Staff frendly and helpful.
lovely atmosphere, friendly, close to walled town of Dinan.
Mark, the hotel owner, is extremely friendly and genuine, which is a great plus for a boutique/small hotel. Room was comfortable and cosy and warm and the location was very convenient for walking into Dinan and exploring the old town and some of the excellent restaurants around the town (esp one which makes the most excellent casseroles in the region). Parking is free on the small road next to the hotel. The only downside was there not being a hair dryer in the room for the missus and the free WiFi not extending to the room for my laptop. But the lounge area in the hotel where i could do some work on my laptop was comfortable enough to make it a non-issue.
Clean, recently finished rooms well appointed. Friendly management with personal service at breakfast. Convenient location just off the main through route north of town. Difficult to find any fault.
The hotel is conveniently situated next to the motorway leading to St Malo ferry (access is well signposted). It is beautifully maintained, though the rooms are typically French - dark and spartan! Double glazing cut out almost all the traffic noise, but it might be a problem in summer. However, shutters are also fitted to keep the rooms cool in hot weather. heaters in both the bedroom and ensuite bathroom were effective. The proprietor is friendly, helpful - and speaks good English. Would have liked the option of an evening meal, given the distance to Dinan.
Convenient to Dinard airport / St Malo ferry, and to main auto routes. Good value. Access road and grounds a bit below par
The hotel is in a very quiet rural location just a few km outside Dinan. It is very convenient for the N176. The manager was rather serious and didn't seem to want to bother too much.
Staff can speak some english, and were very helpful The pictures on the website were not the rooms that we were given. It was slightly miss leading.
Good location for cycling. I found the lighting in the bedrooms poor. it was nearly impossible to read in bed as the lights by the beds pointed to the ceiling. They advertised a restaurant but no dinner was available.
Great Parking Quiet location easy to find Dissapointed all tv channels were in French a english news channel would have been appreciated The mattress a bit to soft in the middle
Although the Hotel did not offer evening dinner, it was a short journey to the town, where we found many excellent eating places. The staff were very attentive and drew a comprhensive route to a Church which we wished to visit. None
Very friendly staff, family atmospere and good food
Friendly family run small hotel. Very good, and remarkably cheap, breakfast. I chose the hotel to be out of the centre of Dinan and isolated as I had my daughters very expensive bike in the car and did not want to have to take it out and lug it upstairs. PS No category for parent(s) and adult offspring in your list of clientele. No evening meals at weekends incl Fri night.
the location was great, beautiful village, great bar across the road. great one night stopover
Great location for us travelling back to Dieppe from Southern Brittany. Good rate for a family room. Excellent food in the restaurant.
Easy to find, centre of village. Traditional outside, very modern inside. Friendly & helpful staff - would stay again
good affordable stop over for travel the toilets were build in so making it noisy for all
The restaurant None
Staff and Food.
Good value, pleasant setting and excellent food Not quite sure where and how the self-service menu operates as regards the evening meal. We were 'persuaded' to eat 'a la carte' on our first visit. However, we chose to eat for this format on our return.
Staff friendly, hotel spotless and very good value for money. A convenient spot en route to St Malo. One humorous point was the rocking toilet in room 15!! None
I booked a triple room, and the triple room we got on the second night only (we moved rooms). This room was excellent. The bar area was modern, clean and refreshing. Overall I liked the hotel a lot. Being put into a double room with rollaway for the first night as the hotel was full, even though I booked months ahead. This room was crowded.
Fantastic location central in town None
The room was clean and the bathroom spacious. The hotel was ideally situated in terms of being in easy reach of restaurants and bars. We were looking for property and found most areas easily accessable from Dinan. The original room allocated, family room on ground floor, we felt was unacceptable. It was smaller than the triple room we were subsequently offered, the kitchen area was not as described, it was impossible to erect the chairs round a table to eat. The room was very dark and cold and the bathroom was too small for 4 people.
excellent location but think carefully about the name! The clock chimes from 7.00am but is silenced during the night No parking but parking close by in the main square
our family room was not in the main building of the hotel - it had glass doors opening directly into public passageway which was noisy at night. Would only recommend if in main hotel
Best feature: absolutely smack-dab in the heart of the most charming historic center in France (that I know of), for a reasonable (for France, that is) price
Right, slap bang in the centre of Dinan within easy walking distance of all the main restaurants and sights. Ideal for sightseeing. Nice attic room. Lots of stairs.
The location (city center) and the charm of the hotel. The staff, although not large, gave excellent service and attention to the guests.
The staff were very friendly, and we had a very pleasant stay. The room itself, for what we got was quite expensive, but was good. The rooms being cleaned at a certain time was something I was not used to and put a schedule each day on myself and my partner.
The hotel is situated in the heart of Dinan, easy walking distance from the local town sights. The staff were exceptionally friendly and made us feel very welcome. All in all a nice small family run hotel. The resturant attached to the hotel serves up good quality food. No lift which means if you are on the top floor there is a lot of stairs to climb with your cases. No private parking leaving you to park on the town square. Breakfast was uninteresting, continental only and not much choice.
Superb town centre location, great ambience, well presented and decorated rooms. You need to be fit and healthy if staying on the top floor as a lot of stair climbing required,
It was a wonderful location, right inside the medieval city, next to the old clock tower and city ramparts. You could walk to everything. there was a small kitchenette in our triple which woul be very useful for someone on a budget or with small children. The hostess, Catharine, was lovely and welcoming. It is located on a small alley which cuts through to the clock tower. Voices in the alley echo and they were very loud up until about 1AM. A small map on the website showing the easiest way to walk from the large municipal parking lot to the hotel would also be useful. We walked the long way in the dark with our luggage in the pouring rain. the next day we found a simple pedestrian doorway that led right to the parking lot.
