10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were up visiting my daughter at the Gaeltacht. Location was great. We had a family room that 4 of us stayed in an are 2 dogs stayed as well. The warm welcome, the breakfast was first class
5.8 Okay
Pros: I loved that there were so many beds in the one room for a family. Staff very friendly too.
Cons: Ensuite was very poor. No hot water for the shower. Extremely old fashioned decor - curtains and wall pictures dusty (cobwebs). Dark - poor lighting in the room. No kettle (tea/coffee/water in room). Old fashioned breakfast menu - Had requested vegan option and was told it would be no problem - basically just said we could have whatever was vegan from the normal menu - i.e. mushrooms & tomatoes & toast.. Although staff were extremely friendly and lovely to deal with. No tea/coffee pot on table - had to wait until a waitress decided to come around to refill cup.

Pros: Excellent food, friendly staff, quiet spacious rooms even though just over the bar
Cons: None of it
6.8 Good
Cons: The bedroom was located over the bar where a music session took place until 1:30am , as there’s no A/C the room was very warm as we had to close the window due the noise , it was a bank holiday weekend and with out sounds like a complete killjoy bring a pair of earplugs if you want an early night!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff in great surroundings. Room was everything we expected, being a good size. There was great entertainment in the hotel bar and the breakfast served in the morning was excellent, a proper cooked Irish breakfast.
Cons: I have nothing negative to say about the hotel, the staff or the service provided.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great room with efficient bathroom! Excellent value and beautiful views. We would definitely stay here again.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Homey. Anne (and Coco) perfect hosts. Good, substantial breakfast. Beautiful view of bay and Mount Errigal.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: beautiful location
Cons: shower was not working
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The BnB is located on a very quiet and beautiful island in Kincasslagh. The view out of our window was great. The host was friendly and explained what we could do in the area. The breakfast was good, we could choose between different typical BnB breakfasts (full irish, porridge, eggs, ...). We were offered a free room upgrade, because the double room with On-Suite bathroom was empty during the first part of our stay - that was very corteus.
Cons: The room is too small for a twin room; the external bathroom is not just external but also a shared bathroom. The other BnBs on our journey (also located far from the next large cities and comparable breakfast) provided larger rooms with On-Suite-Bathrooms for the same price, so in our opinion the price for this room is too high.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptionally comfortable bed, very quiet. With key able to come and go with no problems. Very nice breakfast and very friendly host. Fantastic view from breakfast room. Highly recommended.

Pros: The breakfast was nice in which i would eat at home. The staff friendly and helpful. The view was fabulous.
Cons: I couldnt find a fault. Great value.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff there were so helpful and friendly they really appreciated everything they even came out to thank us for leaving the room so clean as it was 6 youngsters they were clean comfortable and easy going 2nd time there would definitely stay again
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast had a large choice and was great indeed. The location just under the Errigal is very scenic and the views of it from the bedrooms, the common room and the dining room are extremely enjoyable. Being very near to the bus stop is another strong point.
Cons: Probably my stay here had been too short to account precisely for possible flaws, because of course I had no necessity to use all the possible facilities and I spent the largest part of my time outside.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was super comfortable... place has everything and more that you need for a great holiday..
Cons: Nothing ....
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely (German)lady on duty/reception - kind, helpful and friendly. Good mattresses, pillows and duvets.
Cons: Plug points were bizarrely high, so unsuitable for plugging in device/phone on short cable.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This is one of the most beautifully located hostels in the world, you have the poisoned glen on one side and Mt Errigal on the other. There is a shop next door to the hostel which sells food and wine. There are seats outside and is reasonably priced at 20 eur. There is plenty of onsite parking. There is a drying room.
Cons: Not much
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, peaceful. Great views. Big open area for everyone. Outdoor seating area. Exceeded our expectations.
Cons: No faults
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hostel staff were very accommodating as I arrived at 11.30pm with two children. They promised that my cards would be available in the reception area, the envelope was posted on the reception office window as promised. The breakfast was lovely, cereal, toast, tea and coffee with a fantastic view. It over looks a lake. The village has a petrol station/shop and an Irish College, Colaiste an Phiarsaigh beside the hostel. Mount Erigal is behind the hostel.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff being able to accommodate your food requests without any hassle. The daily entertainment in the bar to enjoy over a few pints.
Cons: My room. Ok its summer and it was warm but the heat in our room was exceptional and there was no air-con to help all we could do was open a window. But when we done that the extractor fan from the kitchens below was on making it very hard to watch tv.
6.8 Good
Pros: Have stayed before and was quiet!
Cons: Only one electrical outlet in a large room
5.5 Okay
Pros: The Irish Ceilidh downstairs and the friendly lady on the reception desk
Cons: The car parking when you arrive late and a Celidh being held at the Hotel !!! No where to park.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location, welcoming staff and an active bar with good food. Breakfast was lovely! Great views from around the hotel.
Cons: I have stayed here many times and am satisfied with the accommodations. One small complaint was a dog barking at close to midnight behind the hotel. More his owners fault for allowing it.

9.5 Excellent
Cons: Notting it was a lovely hotel and the people Brilliant anything we ask the information was there we would go back again. Our dogs loved it the beach it was very close by.The food at the hotel was very good enjoyed our breakfast and evening meal.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the lodge, late checkout etc felt it was very safe for children. I would stay again as it was good value for money.
Cons: Although it was clean some things could be done with updating such as carpet & furniture.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Myself, my husband and our dog stayed here over the bank holiday weekend. We had a fantastic time after a shaky start. The staff informed us that they had double booked but luckily for us they were able to sort it out. The accommodation is in an incredible location, the beach behind the lodge is magnificent!!!!! We have a superb meal in the Ivy restaurant on the night of our stay- would definitely recommend to make a reservation, food was delicious and we got great serves despite the restaurant being very busy. The only one suggestions I have is to have extra staff on in the morning. Breakfast was extremely slow due to very little staff working the next morning, felt very sorry for the staff members as they were under a lot of pressure.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was fabulous, quiet and peaceful. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The room was a good size.
Cons: There was no sea view as advertised. The bathroom door didn’t close. There was no one there when we arrived at 3.30 to check in.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The food was exceptional
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was perfect for what we needed, good location right beside the beach.
Cons: The bathroom was tiny!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was brilliant breakfasts brilliant bed comfortable 10/10
Cons: Nothing everything brilliant
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beds were very comfy, staff very friendly & breakfast excellent. Only disappointment was returning by late booking for another night ( no vacancy for one of 3 nts in week of July 12th). After spending the intervening nt at another guest house, on enquiry by phone, lady at Bunbeg Hse said she had a late cancellation & offered an inferior room at a "good reduction '. This room had only a double bed, no TV & no tea making facilities. On checking out next morning, the gent on duty charged us the full rate. This was disappointing but the only complaint about an otherwise lovely stay at Bunbeg Hse. Mgt Jennings & Joni.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff, the food, and the location were superb.
Cons: Our only disappointment was that our room being the last one available, was small and dark, and the shower was poor with a crack in the door glass. Everything else was lovely.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Although the B&B were suffering a loss of a family member they managed to keep the guests reservations and made arrangements for us to check in which we are grateful for, as they could have cancelled us altogether. We understand they did not open the bar because of this which we totally understand .
Cons: Our room was not soundproof even though it stated this on the site. We could clearly hear the guests above us urinating in the toilet as well as anyone in the hall talking. Room was large, and clean and staff were very helpful and friendly all round.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, very quiet & lovely location
Cons: There was nothing to dislike, located in a beautiful location with very friendly staff. Visitors need to aware that it's not a modern hotel but that doesn't take away from its charm
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. Ideal base for touring area
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful super quiet location on the waterfront - ten minutes on foot from a wonderful pub
Cons: Property was a little dated looking - but was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location. Peaceful, pretty harbour. Bright spacious rooms. Breakfast delicious. Hosts warm and friendly
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location alongside the harbour was interesting.
Cons: Unfortunately the restaurant and bar on the premises were closed for the time we were there, with no advance warning, and we had to travel some distance by car to find a meal. The back room we were allocated was distinctly uninspiring, musty with no view and the bathroom cold tap only worked intermittently. There was no invitation to ask for what we would have liked as a cooked breakfast eg. we were served hard fried eggs. At 90 Euros this was the most expensive of the B&Bs we stayed in during a motor tour of Ireland but did not compare well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s such a beautiful setting in a small harbor, lots of parking, owners are very friendly and helpful. It’s my second time staying here & I’ll be back.
An Chúirt - Gweedore Court Hotel - Bunbeg - Building
9
8.4 Excellent (772 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Gweedore, An Chúirt - Gweedore Court Hotel is a 5-minute drive from Lough Nacung and 6 minutes from Mount Errigal. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and an elevator (lift). Free self parking is available onsite.
6.3 Good
Pros: The food (evening)was tasty and well presented. Everything was spotless but a bit dated. The view was lovely.
Cons: The staff were extremely efficient but lacked any warmth or friendliness, apart from the receptionist at check out. No availability in the restaurant was a bit dusappointing, we were happy to eat at anytime. It seemed to be the finest room in the building. Breakfast was served in the function room, 8 to 10 settings per table, not very inviting or welcoming.
6.8 Good
Pros: The views and the area are fantastic. Room was perfect
Cons: Bar is very small and crowded. The staff and management were not very helpful with an issue we had. Breakfast was very poor for the price of the hotel. 10 Euro per person to use the steam room and jacuzzi is a rip off.
6.8 Good
Pros: The staff were friendly, the rooms were spacious
Cons: Breakfast was v poor- bread choice poor (no homemade brown bread for example), the hot breakfast was limited to greasy fried food, a request for an omelette was denied. It was not possible to get a sandwich after 9.30 but you could order a full meal which didn’t make sense to me
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Bed was very comfortable. The view excellent.
Cons: I am on crutches and the bar was very busy when I arrived . However there was a lot of wasted space, a baby’s buggy was pushed to one side of the seats taking up a number of seats. It could have been left outside. A lone table opposite could have been pushed into that space, which I did myself eventually . I went in and out of the bar several times and only on one occasion did a staff member say she would find me a place but only after I told her I was a guest and looking for food. She then conveniently forgot about me!
6.8 Good
Pros: Spacious room
Cons: Breakfast very oily. Not a great selection of food. There should be someone serving food as thongs and spoons at hot food were submerged in hot oily water and I had to put my hand in to retrieve. Not pleasant.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: location location great views of the mountain friendly staff nice breakfast
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff are very friendly. Room was good size and comfortable
Cons: The soft play area is now closed which our 3 year old would have enjoyed. Also they have introduced a separate charge to use jacuzzi and hydropool which I think guests should be able to use for free
6.8 Good
Pros: Breakfast Quality was lovely but was very busy - hotel very nice - views exceptional.
Cons: Pool at weekends open at 10am and closed at 5pm. Would expect such facilities to be open longer so can use in evening when finished travelling during day. Open longer during week but found unusual that hotel curtails such facilities so much at weekends.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: View was gorgeous
Cons: Breakfast looks like it was thrown up in 5 minutes. Its just not set up nicely as you would expect in a nice hotel like it is. Staff although very nice seemed rushed.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great bar and restaurant. The hotel is a little remote, so it's important to have those close by!
Cons: Parts of the hotel look a little dated. Our room was above some storage area (for the bar?) and was a little noisy at times...

Lóistín an Iuir - Annagry - Building
11
8.3 Excellent (61 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a garden and a shared lounge, Lóistín an Iuir is located in Annagry and provides free WiFi. Continental and à la carte breakfast options are available daily at the bed and breakfast. The nearest airport is Donegal Airport, 11 km from Lóistín an Iuir.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location was fine on a main road. The Bed Room was large, modern and clean. Contained one Double Bed and two Single Beds. Towels and Sheets were spotless.
Cons: Breakfast was served downstairs in front room. Tablecloth and chairs were worn which is not a big problem. However on the table was a dirty, empty sugar bowl i.e tea drips on the inside. When I asked for more sugar the same sugar bowl was used. The butter dish was full of the scrapings (including crumbs) of some other butter dishes and was very unappealing, no attempt was made to disguise that the butter had been scraped from another container into the butter dish. I don't mean to be unkind but it made me feel disgusted and it really put me off the place. The lighting in the bedroom was very poor. Could not read even with Bedside light on. The bathroom had a Jacuzzi Bath, no shower curtain and the shower head was not mounted to the wall. I would expect a working wall mounted shower to be a minimum requirement. It would take very little to make this Review 10/10. It is not intended to be unkind - the Homeowner who was very nice.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice staff, very kind and helpful
Cons: Room not en suite and bed was not comfortable, really soft witha lot of give in the middle (and I am light)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This property is excellent for the tourist or business traveller. Room was utilitarian but spotlessly clean. Bed was comfortable and tea making facilities were appreciated. Excellent Breakfast.
Cons: I liked everything but would make one small suggestion. There was no chair in the room. A school desk chair with a flip top surface for writing on would be a perfect solution.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spotlessly clean and a fab breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful, quiet setting with wonderful views. Fantastic breakfast and friendly host.Good value for money.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the host was nice and helpful. Thank you :)
Cons: the Wi-Fi sometimes didn't work properly.
7.0 Good
Pros: A convenient stay near the Donegal coast
Cons: The upper room was a bit noisy (like water flowing down pipes constantly or something like that) and a roof window right above the bed with no option to stop the light in the morning.
7.5 Good
Pros: As I expected----The owner did her best to cater for our needs. As we had a very early start we only wanted continental breakfast. There could have been a better selection of fruit. Only tinned grapefruit.
Cons: Fruit for breakfast!
4.3 Okay
Pros: No much
Cons: The place was dreary. The bedroom felt like a school dormitory.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice place
Cons: TV should have been provided in the rooms.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Food was excellent
Cons: Eight different tables were able to order and receive breakfast before us although they arrived in the breakfast room after us. There were 2 ladies on duty. They were very busy. We were overlooked which disappointed us. However when our food did arrive on the table it was a great breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendliness of staff and good food.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is nice and I’ve got the room wished with spa bathtub.
Cons: Shower gel and shampoo would have been nice in the bathroom.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was on roadside but had good parking to side of hotel and across the road. Staff within hotel were very welcoming and there is a good sized area to sit on comfy settees and chairs . Our bedroom was downstairs at end of corridor and was adequate in size but bed was smaller than we are used to and this made it not as comfy. Husband had a sore back each morning as matteress was hard. Bedroom was kept clean and had fresh towels daily as required. View was out to carpark but upstairs bedrooms may have had a better view over bay. Hotel was a good base for short drives to beauiful beaches and there wasnt anywhere to walk to as there was just the footpath along a busy road. Definitely need a car when you are there. Food in the restaurant and the bar was excellent and breakfasts also good. Staff were friendly and helpful in all these areas. Music in bar on Fri and Sat evening and lots of people in for meals
Cons: Bed not the most comfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel and staffs
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff
Cons: Large portion of meals
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Each room came with a free breakfast. The breakfast buffet was lovely and staff were very friendly. We each got a full Irish Breakfast. The rooms were all very clean with lots of natural light. Would definitely stay there again!
6.3 Good
Pros: The breakfast was great, the bathroom in the room was fine.
Cons: The hotel is a bit remote, ok it your happy to travel by car to some of the nearby towns. The bedroom decor needs up-dating. The TV had limited channels. The chips we had with our evening meal were partially frozen, typically i didn't mention this at the time. (the battered fish was great). As a result we didn't eat at the hotel the second evening.
