The view was the best thing. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast had good deal of choice. The water pressure was not efficient and it was difficult to arrange the cold and hot water as well. The a/c was noisy when working on level 3, it was difficult to sleep in that noise so I switched it off.
Is forbiden to tale a food and drink át. Your room and they don t advice in check in my goods was taken át. Recption
Lovely hotel very clean with friendly staff. Being in the annex when booked didn't realise it did not have the same facilities as the main hotel. Eg no tea or coffee in the room
Good facilities, very helpful staff
Great location on the waterfront. Rooms a decent size and reception put us in touch with a travel agency over the phone who organised a Gallipoli tour for us. Was a small group of six and not the huge big buses full of people some of the other tour operators used so this was great. A very fair price too. Hotel is walking distance to the bus depo and ferry. A tip. Some resturants will try not to give you a menu saying fish prices are changing then charge you outragously. Insist on seeing a menu. A little tired but fine. Did not have a room safe.
view from the room
Very helpful front desk staff. Convenient, central location with free parking. Food good but not exceptional. Clientele aimed at group tours rather than independent traveller.
A great location with a sea view and close to the ferries for Galipolli. The room was large, comfortable and spotless. Excellent breakfasts from a restaurant overlooking the harbour. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English. The promanade along the sea front full of activitiy at night as people strolled along the waterfront and looked at the selection of stalls selling local crafts. An ideal base to explore Galipolli, Troy and the surrounding area. Excellent ferry services to various places.
Balcony with view over the Dardenelles. Free parking and wireless internet. Moldy bathtub, poor breakfast, staff not very atttentive or friendly.
Excellent location. Good room.
I was pleased with all aspects of my stay at the Akol Hotel, cleanliness, service and accomodations. I did not have any unsatisfactory experiences during my stay. No
Ood room and facilities. Helpful staff None
Very good location, nice view over the Dardanelles and the Galipoli peninsula. Good size room, and nice roof top bar. The furniture and bathroom equipment is too old, needs repairs. AC is not too eficient, but still the best in the town.
Very good beds (sofa), the place - some of the rooms have sea view, parking. Nice breakfast, even that it was not too much to offer. Very small fridge, actually just a cooler, air conditioning functioned just for five minutes no matter how it was set, no balcony, bad (broken) bathroom set.
Location close to the waterfront. Windows that could be opened and a great view of the Dardenelles. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was awful. Buffet breakfast choices were limited when compared to other Turkish hotels and service was sporadic.
I stayed 2 years ago in this hotel - good location, quiet environment, parking lot. It doesn't match the price, hotel standard is going down.
Location is great, right near the park and waterfront. Despite being close to the action, it was surprisingly quiet. Also, there is parking available on site although it says there is no parking available on the web site. The breakfast had more than the standard Turkish fare.
Nice room Hotel rooms are usually quite small but our room was nice, not too small. The only bad thing about this hotel was the terrible breakfast. Especially salami and chicken jambon tasted funny (like cough syrup); probably very low quality, little meat content products.
The hotel facilities were OK for one night. The room was very clean The price is a little bit high in comparison with the accomodation facilities. The three bed room is too small for three people to be accomodated.
Beautiful setting and courtyard. Charming staff, very central and very quiet. Rooms beautiful and breakfast very good Difficult to find by car as so many one way streets but hotel took the car to a car park which was wonderful.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very musty and in need of an upgrade. The bathroom was not very clean as there was urine on the floor (which was cleaned on the second day) and it smelled like a public washroom. Breakfast was mediocre.
The room was probably not to the standard I expected from the photos however it was comfortable.Bathroom not so good. Food in restaurant was good. Bathroom
Beautiful old former house with lovely garden. It was very clean, in a great location and, best of all, the staff are very charming and eagerly went out of their way when we needed help. Nothing
A very comfortable stay with helpful staff and a good location. A good spot to base ourselves for a Gallipoli excursion.
Convinient location, friendly staff. Room facilities need upgrade
Reception made arrival easy The breakfast was tired and the room description promised much, but did not deliver the ambience suggested. The Sultan Suite was rocked by nearby music until the early hours, even on a Wednesday
Excellent location, lovely hotel throughout. Helpful staff.
Friendly staff, good atmosphere
It was a little paradise of quiet and calm amoungst the hussle & bustle of Turkey. A great place to take a breather in very appealing surrondings.
one of the few places one could get a drink no lift
The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. It was great value for money.
The friendly staff and very helpful none
Excellent service. Although the hotel was overbooked, they were very nice and upgraded our hotel without any extra costs.
The location is strategic, very close to ferry pier and shopping/restaurant area. The room is slightly small but is ok. I reserved non smoking rooms, but I got non-smoking rooms ex smoking rooms. The smell is not good and the room was available for check in at 3pm.
convenient location, comfortable beds the staff seemed unhappy when we didn't take take their tour because we had made our own arrangements. They were not welcoming and quite unresponsive.
The location. Friendliness of staff. Poor breakfast. No turkish coffee. No turkish tea.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great tours offered by hotel- anzac battlefields was really informative and I learnt heaps. Snorkelling trip lots of fun. Rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. Great value for money
It's a very good Hotel with the best stuff, and with the best Hotel Manager I have ever seen. Very good location. Big rooms with balconies. All was perfect.
Friendly and very helpfull staff, good location, very very close to the ferry. Wifi is only in the lobby. When you are by yourself do not book a single room, then you will end up in a smelling like smoke truckers room where you can pee and take a shower at the same time, as the shower is overhead the toilet (no curtain whatsoever) The double and triple rooms are great. Clean and soft beds. Good value for money, so do ask in advance what you get for your booking.
the politeness of the staff the noise outdoors
Satndard breakfast It wasn't like a hotel room, more like a trucker motel. Just a bed and a 15" TV. There was something like a desk or console, but there were no minibar, no chair, no armchair, nothing to sit on. I don't know how they expect guests use the internet, on foot? The shower cabinet was incredibly tiny, it was a torture to turn around. Very loud music from nearby bars. The worst's there was no hot water. The staff was quite rude, they tried to blame it on us and teach two PhD engineers how to turn a tap on. Still no hot water. Another point that we realised is that the staff treat Turkish people quite rude but treat foreigners on the opposite. If looking for a place just to sleep but nothing else, you can stay at this motel, otherwise God forbid!
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the parking service was a great relief given the one-way system and the narrow streets. The location was also excellent - only a couple of minutes walk to the sea and a lot of good restaurants. The lack of a lift is a big deficiency for a five or sex storeyed hotel.
- Always very polite staff - helpful staff when we needed help - The very same breakfast, never changed even the place where each meal was - I would have preffered more fruits than melon, even if I love melon, and some yoghurt
Although the room was a bıt small ıt was very clean and comfortable. The staff went out of theır way to be helpfull and were super frıendly
very modern, large room , good bathroom, lovely view . excellent breakfast.
Very clean, modern rooms, great location in center of town. Helpful and nice staff. We felt very pleasant staying in this hotel. Nothing
ı thınk the place ın the mıddle of restaurant and brs wıth low prıces was good.nd the breakfast the rooms were small.ı prefer lıttle more spce to breath
central location, parking small room, not very clean
Excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. We were two Spanish friends travelling around the area and we enjoyed a lot our stay in the city and the friendly environment. Very helpful people, all clean and near the centre. I do recommend it. It was a lovely place to stay
Location The rooms are in need of serious renovation. The staff did not return my passport after completing registration and on check out. I was charged the cost of having the passport sent to Istanbul. If I was flying out that day I would have missed my flight.
Proximity to the ferries. Hotel staff
I really enjoyed the location of the hotel and the helpful attitude of the staff, especially when they upgraded us to their boutique hotel.
The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was basic with uncomfortable beds and tatty facilities. The carpets were dirty. The hotel is in a central position in a very noisy location without double glazing this led to restless nights.
Ordinary hotel with polite staff. There were no dedicated car parking beside the hotel. By the way they will fit your car somewhere around.
The staff were great and the location was close to the sea/promenade and very central. The room was comfortable and everything was clean. They forgot the vegemite.
The view from our room to the Dardanelles one side and to the waterfront the other -lively witrh boats coming and going- was very enjoyable and the staff were very helpful.
The Staff was very nice and well prepared. More I can not say because we staid only for a night. The air conditioner in the room had a really bad position and could not be left working during the night.
Centrally located and convenient. Even though it is 1/2 block from the central square, it's hard to figure out how to get to by car, as it's on a 1-way street. This is not to criticize the hotel. Just go a long block, turn left, then left again to get onto the one-way street.
The Helen Hotel is a regular 2 star, basically clean and confortable. I found it convenient to stay there for one night during my visit to Gallipoli and Troy.
Nice and clean place to stay.
The above excellent service and attention provided by all members of the hotel staff. Also wonderful situation. absolutely none
Ali and staff were extremely accomodating. Rooms were clean and recently refurbished, along with a central location made our stay most enjoyable. thanks Ali
The staff are very nice and helpful. Restaurant is quite okay.....service a wee bit slow.
A perfect Hotel. In my way to Bodrum I stayed at the hotel. It is a new hotel excelent located, clean room, parking and very comfortable. Good price excelent conditions! The breackfast could be much better.
Literally next to the ferry across the Darnadelles. Very helpful staff. Good off street parking, good food choices nearby. Nice room. Elevator. A/C. Good bathroom. WiFi good and free. Very large room. Bed was kind of hard, but would definitely stay again.
All staff was polite, friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is great. None.
Clean, central location, spacious rooms, silent rooms
friendly helpful staff
