it was clean and nice the cleaning staff was knocking on the doore before 9 oclock
The pool Not a good holiday destination
We got the apartmentroom in the other house and it was big and good. Many steps. Good breakfast. Free parking If you need an elivator you must get a room in the mainbuilding.
Restaurant and service very good Small room
swimmingpool and sauna complementary, longer breakfast hours (till 10:30)
Cleanliness and big quiet room. Very good breakfast. We discovered with pleasure the center of the old Limburg and the multiple italians restaurants!
Convenient to town centre Poor value for money. Bar area uncomfortable Lift out of service Breakfast choice limited and expensive.
Close to the old town of Limburg. Free parking. The price of the breakfast is excessive.
Friendly hotel ideal for families very close to the centre.
availability of a smoking room, quiet and comfortable room Wrong telephone number provided, it was impossible to call the hotel. Name of the hotel on the building was not Arcadia, but Tulip, there was no explanation, I circled the area three times before somebody told me it is the right place. If not for the geographic coordinates used in sat-nav, I would never find the hotel.
Staff were very helpful
Ease of finding & parking: close to town.
Nice hotel with fair price Breakfast too expensive (15 EUR per person)
Beautiful historic City
convenietly placed for the old town, with a good range of restaurants Lack of restaurant facilaties
Cleanliness, cancelation poclicy, and helpful staff. Wireless Internet is not available freely, and it is far from any avaiable restaurant.
Convenience of hotel location, standard of facicities and friendliness and politeness of the hotal staff
The area for dining in the hotel was extremely noisy with loud singing and general noise which at times was rather intimidating. The staff made no real effort to keep the noise in check.
Am a regular visitor to the hotel, 1st discovered it several years ago and I keep going back as I have never had a bad experience with it. As always on this visit my room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff were as always polite and friendly and the inclusive buffet breakfast got me my days off to a good and tasty start.
Very friendly staff; good value for money hotel. -
It was in a lovely location with good facilities and well appointed. The restaurant opposite was very nice too, as was the locally brewed beer. Not enough English literature / advice; parking was very confusing.
Beautiful location but the rooms require upgrade. There isno minimal luxary..
Food good, choices for vegetarians. Swimming pool, sauna and fitness room good. Breakfast good. Parking good. Easy to find. WiFi in room but by subscription. Only 5 German channels on TV.
Very friendly and helpful staff, service orientated
quiet too hot on the 3rd floor and bad ventilation. loud when windows are open
The fact that was really located within a castle The size of the beds- they were way too small
Beatiful hotel at beatiful city, good food, good parking, good location, good service.
Location is remote, peaceful, and quiet. Lack of things to do near by, but one could drive to Limburg or Cologne to spend the day. Also, the single accomodations are small, not something you would expect in a large castle/hotel.
Nice and friendly staff, very good breakfast, great location as a part of the castle and very good atmosphere.
Nice environment. Staff is very helpful. Good price/comfort balance It would be easier to have WIFI in all rooms
The location of the hotel in the center of Limburg is perfect for my purposes. Very friendly and competent personnel. Even the standard rooms are well equipped and of decent size. If you're still hungry after having left the breakfast buffet, it's your own fault. You just have to have dinner at the Restaurant de Orusse at least once during your stay - excellent cuisine. Does the above really sound like there was anything I didn't like? :-)
Great central location and helpful staff.
Excellent location. Room decor eccentric but interesting. Staff friendly and helpful After I received confirmation of the reservation from active hotels the hotel sent me an e-mail saying my booking had crossed with a bobking they had made with a large party. They did however manage to find a room the next day and I was able to take up my original plan. I do not know whether this was the fault of you or the hotel but this kind of problem should not happen.
The hotel was in a great location, the staff was nice, room was very comfortable; best part was the shower was separate from the toilet. Extra sinks made it nice also! Definitely recomend.
Location within pedestrian area of Limburg
Nice location, clean, friendly, good food
location nice. Would be nice to have Wireless internet
The location is excellent for the town and the Lahn. Good restaurants nearby as well as an excellent restraurant in house. Would recommend it.
Spacious room, great location, excellent breakfast.
In a great location being on the edge of the old town and next to the river. The room was basic but functional and therefore adequate. The owner who was there at check in was very welcoming and helpful but the staff in the morning (especially in the breakfast room) were surly and quite unfriendly. Would have been nice to have the opportunity to have breakfast on the terrace. Dirty and stained bedroom carpet, it's the reason that we only gave the hotel a 'fair' rating for cleanliness.
The bill was paid before our arrival by credit card, but we liked to pay by cash. Then we had no possibility of choice.
Very friendly staff and good location for travelling Shame they do not have a full restaurant service and also the room key devices are terrible - please bring back swipe or traditional keys.
Price Location (within 2 minutes from A3) Room (good size, modern, good shower) Friendly and helpful staff Location (industrial environment), but if you just need a hotel to sleep and continue your journey (like me), that should be no problem
Clean, freindly staff, comfortable rooms, quiet Frozen pizzas not fresh sold in restaurant
stop over on way to hungary location and standard good for purpose
Attractive 3 story buiding in quiet part of town within easy driving distance to old town. We were the only English speaking guests.
We only stayed for one day/night but enjoyed our stay. The hotel has no restaurant but is only a 15 - 20 minute walk from the beautiful city center where there is an abundance of restaurants, cafes and bars.
Clean rooms, although they had a strong odor of cleaning solution. You pretty much have to drive to the downtown area. The rooms also smelled like cleaning solution.
Hotel was modern and comfortable - reasonably priced. There is a nice "Winter Garten" area. The hotel and surroundings were very neat - and the environment was quite calm. Dinner was not available at the hotel (at least the night when we were there) - just drinks and frozen pizzas. It didn't really matter in the end - we went into the city and had one of the best Thai meals ever :-)
this is a very basic, but comfortable and clean hotel. Good for a short visit
Location for travelers by train Breakfast starts late so I missed it. Old establishment need facelifting. Single room very very small. WiFi signal was not received in the room! After changing the room, it was still slow and weak signal. This hotel is not for business travelers.
great service, nice room, wonderful breakfast, special accommodation for late check out, perfect moderate splurge while backpacking through Europe.
The rooms surely are made-up quite romantically. Philosophically speaking, the hotel lets you know the value of something that one takes for granted: lift for example. One doesn’t even ask these days if a hotel marked 4-star has a lift. If you have baggage, and your room is on the 2nd or 3rd floor, you have had it.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, but above all the excellent food served in the restaurant. A little difficult to find (without a satnav). Also, parking a little limited, but not impossible.
Parkingplace, and there was no bar available
nice clean hotel
Very quiet location, restaurant and service are very good, excellent breakfast choice. Personnel is friendly. Rooms are impeccable. Free parking facilities. About 10 minutes drive from A3-motorway.
It was close enough to get to the Frankfurt Airport by car: about 45 minutes. Breakfast was wonderful, easy to park car, dinner moderately priced: good food. Hosted offered menu in English
As a businessman the hotel is ideally situated for the customers I visit. It also came as a recommendation from one of these customers. no
The staff is very, very friendly, and professional. The hotel was only recently opened, the owner has also other businesses in the city : a cosy spanish tapas bar, the Bodega Dali Loco, and also a very luxury restaurant, the Werner Senger Haus. Both are located in the Ruetsche strasse in Limburg, not so far from the Dom. I can heartly recommend this hotel.
I was disappointed that despite the fact that it has 'hotel restaurant' above the entrance, no food was available in the evening (we stayed on a Friday). The staff were not particularly friendly either.
This was our last stop before heading for the ferry at the Hook of Holland and it is ideally located for this being just of the A3 autbahn. It is within easy walking distance of the town centre and the railway station. I found our room was a bit noisy from the traffic passing the hotel.
The beds were very comfy and well maintained, the room facilities in general were also very well kept. Staff were also very nice and helpful The floor was a little dirty but for the price it was fine.
Pleased with the location on route to Austria ´very convenient. Staff were obliging and helpful. Breakfast was good for continental type, but still does not compare to the cinventional British breakfast.
A perfect, economic, accessible hotel close to the Koln to Frankfurt highway
The location of this hotel was perfect; it was ten minutes walk to the town centre, while walking to the town centre you walked past both the train station and the bus station. The hotel also had private parking in the hotel grounds ! The night I stayed the kitchen was closed, but this may have been because Germany were playing in the World Cup that evening, and the management were not expecting many customers. If that was the case they got it very right( two customers all night )
It looks as if the late check out doesn't always apply. Make sure you check first if that is your main reason for staying there.
Room was clean, good shower, free car park, and close to the town. Breakfast was disappointing, stayed 2 nights and restaurant did not seem to be open - plenty of lovely ones in town though. Quite a lot of noise throughout the night at front of hotel from traffic and passers-by.
