With a stay at L'Arbre d'Ange in Montmorillon, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Church of Saint-Laurent-et-Saint-Vincent and La Sabline Prehistory Museum.
Pros: Fabulous breakfast. Lovely details to interiors
Cons: Our room had the bathroom not fully enclosed which I don't think is acceptable for the toilet as it needs to be in a ventilated separate room
Pros: Breakfasts were generous & unrushed. Owners were welcoming, friendly & went out of their way to accommodate my disability The building is old, full of character and furnished & decorated accordingly!
Cons: Very little!
Pros: Beautiful decor and excellent breakfast
Cons: No lock on room door.
Pros: the friendliest hosts, a beautiful house, a comfortable bed, a lovely rambling garden, and a great breakfast. What more can one ask for … ?
Pros: Marie and Roger are excellent hosts with extensive local knowledge. The house is beautiful and we could not fault it at all. We loved Montmorillon and are hoping to return. Ollie, their dog and Booboo the Bengal cat were delightful. Thank you Marie & Roger for a stress free and entertaining stay at your home.
Pros: Within walking distance to all. Large clean bedroom with a shared bath. Nice breakfast and owners are very nice as well.
Pros: The position for the town and free parking nearby. Friendliness and helpfulness of the owners. Use of the pool and garden - lovely. Comprehensive continental breakfast and provision of gluten free options. Comfort of the bed. Good wifi.
Cons: Would've liked a key to the room.
Pros: Very friendly owners who originated from England making communication very easy as our French speaking is very limited. Plenty of places to eat in town.
Pros: Tucked away in a quiet street, the front door opened on to a charming interior.. From the moment we were very pleasantly welcomed by Roger, we were drawn in to admire the beautiful way he and Marie have renovated the period house. Our garden room was beautifully decorated and very well appointed with wonderful finishing touches everywhere and an excellent shower room. The garden was a delight. Breakfast was hosted extremely well by Marie, who was absolutely lovely and extremely helpful. It was very hard to tear ourselves away and we shall most definitely be back.. Huge thanks.

Pros: The lovely friendly hosts. The superb breakfast especially the pancakes. Comfy room and good shower.
Cons: We could have stayed longer.
Pros: The hosts couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The meals were fabulous as was the cold beer & wine. They have fabulous quirky artwork & the atmosphere is warm & cosy. They have dynamite wifi! Enjoy dinner with the hosts as it is delectable!
Cons: remember what the house looks like as the GPS is only close to within 200m. It's worth it!
Pros: Andrew and Julie were so welcoming and helpful. Supplied us with invaluable information about the area and places to visit. Lovely food and we would be delighted to have a return visit with them.
Cons: All was well.
Pros: Everything - services, meals, and warm welcoming from Andrew and Julie - was fantastic! We felt at home and enjoyed our whole stay at this property. Andrew was an EXCELLENT chef! and Julie was very sweet, caring and helpful in providing us with detailed information about the region. We strongly recommend Le Petit Cochon chambre d'hote, and will surely come back to this place!
Pros: Lovely bedroom with very comfortable bed. Andrew and Julie very welcoming and superb hosts. Very good and reasonably priced meal.
Pros: The host was so helpful and knowledgeable and made us feel so welcome
Pros: Julie and Andrew are very welcoming and charming hosts. Breakfast and Dinner were perfect and we felt very much at home all the time. Should we spend our holidays in the area again, we will for sure come back to this lovely place.
Pros: Colourful hosts in an old building lovingly restored. Comfortable rooms with a sitting room available if needed. We had dinner at the chambre d'Hotes which was all locally sourced produce and was excellent as was breakfast with home made pastries and bread. A nice change from the well trodden tourist routes
Pros: The way the owners upgraded the house is definitely impressive. One host showed us pictures of how the house looked "before" they began building -- and it's fascinating to see how they did the place up. Located in a village called Haims, there really aren't any options for dining out nearby, so the owners offer a dinner menu with wine. Note: if there are several guests in the house, you will be dining with everyone -- so put on your party face!
Cons: The B&B is located in a place with few outside dining options nearby. Also, the house has cats, which may end up in the rooms. If you are very sensitive to cat dander, this might not be the place for you.

Pros: Friendly bar, staff always smiling and great service. Room very clean and well decorated. Coffee in-room for a hotel at this price is exceptional.. Breakfast, good coffee and home-made confiture.... Lovely.
Cons: Shower, although obviously new and very clean, a bit small for me. It's really hard to find something not to like.!
Pros: A good little hotel in a small town.
Pros: I will only say that I got myself into trouble and the owner was there to help out. I won't say what the trouble was, because I don't want to create any expectations! But know that the owners were absolutely amazing. Kind, helpful, didn't speak much English but wow.
Cons: Honestly everything was great. The breakfast is very worth it!
Pros: Lovely, clean rooms. Quiet location with a good choice of restaurants and bars. Staff were very friendly.
Cons: We were there when it was exceptionally hot & the rooms were sweltering with just a little fan. There was no air-con.
Pros: Newly renovated clean rooms.
Pros: Fantastic location. Friendly staff.
Cons: Hottest time in France, no aircon, but at least they had a fan.

Pros: we had a great stay, in a room for three. perfect hotel to visit the Abbaye nearby.
Pros: Very friendly, clear and helpful staff. Beautiful fresh crisp rooms
Pros: Excellent modernisation of an old hotel. Large rooms well decorated and equipped.
Pros: The large room
Pros: Good location on the square. The chap who checked us in and served us breakfast was extremely friendly and helpful.
Cons: Breakfast 8.50 Euros each and it was just ok. Coffee, bread, jam, some fruit and croissants. Fairly basic.
Pros: Not much. The room was cramped but clean. The communal areas pretty tired and smelled a little. Staff tried hard.
Cons: Insufficient smoke alarms only 1 per floor, none in our room. Earliest check in 5 pm unjustified when considering the room rate and the description as an hotel. No restaurant as described in some descriptions on a google search. Noise. The room we occupied (standard triple) had one small window (it did have supplementary glazing) we had to leave the window open for ventilation and cooling. There was a lot of noise in the night which disturbed us. The bed was a very small double and I am pretty sure (though I did not check) there was a plastic or poor quality waterproof liner under the sheet. I was stuck to it at times in a long night.

Pros: didn't have breakfast
Cons: the room was overlooking the main road. The air conditioning wasn't working and we had to have the windows open consequently no sleep. They could have put us in a room at the back in a quieter area as there was hardly anyone staying there.
Pros: Service ,all in general was great
Cons: we like all
Pros: Dirty and cold room, complained to the receptionist who laughed with her colleagues about me...she then refused to do anything about the room, so we left.
Pros: Hotel has been refurbished and size of room and bathroom were excellent. Very clean and fresh. Brasserie was reasonably priced and food excellent.

Cons: The colour of the bedroom
