Pros: very pleasant the accommodation, especially nice the hosts and the breakfast was fantastic.
Pros: Such a lovely place with lovely people. I am normally not the type that really cares about the interior, but the room and building are so nicely decorated it made me happy. Everything was nice, clean and comfortable too. The hosts are very nice and the breakfast was really good and plentiful. Nothing more to ask for.
Pros: Everything is fantastic. Lovely place
Pros: living room & sunny balcony
Pros: I like to tay in small boutique places, and most of the time I have great experiences with them but Månsåsen exceeded my expectations by far. Everything was fantastic - the hospitality of the hosts, the idyllic rural environment, the room and the shared areas, the breakfast. What a lovely stay it has been. Tack så mycket. Thank you so much. Highly recommended.
Pros: Beautiful property and friendly owners. Exceeded our expectations!
Pros: Amazing place to stay. It seems like you are in the past. The decoration and the hospitality are unforgetable. We will go back in the future. Thanks.
Pros: Everything was so wonderful :)
Pros: This is hands down the best place I have ever stayed in. The attention to detail and the friendliness of the place were magnificent! I initially wanted to stay somewhere in Åre, but the decision to stay here made my whole vacation much more memorable. Thank you Britt-Marie and Leif for your wonderful hospitality and all your help!

Pros: The hotel was a lovely surprise. The single room was spacious and had everything you could want. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, such a wide choice of tasty local food, and there were snacks available all day. The library was a bonus for a solo traveller.
Cons: The long flight of steps from the front door up to reception while carrying a heavy case, but if you enter from the back yard there is a lift up to reception.
Pros: Generally good size room and nice place.
Cons: Parking cost per 24hr
Pros: In the very centre of Östersund, just on the pedestrian road, this little gem is worth a stay. Clean, comfortable rooms, very kind and friendly staff, definetely will visit again if I am in the area.
Cons: Something chocolatish was missing from the breakfast.(my husband’s complaint)
Pros: We loved the quaint atmosphere of this hotel. As we arrived later, we were very glad that the bar/grill next door was open so we could get something to eat. Breakfast was a super spread and hard to to try alittle of everything.
Cons: As we arrived by train, the office was closed and I could not access my email, it took us a little bit to navigate the after hours system and acquire our room keys. After a few moments of panic, all was good once we had keys in hand
Pros: Fantastic breakfast. Ecological, lactose free alternatives, local!
Pros: My room was large, comfortable, clean and quiet. Check in was super easy. The staff are super nice. The wifi speed was reliable and fast. And cookies and tea/coffee available in the parlor 24/7. The hotel is a bit worn, but after 3 days, I was so charmed and happy with the place that it didn't matter at all.
Cons: The curtains in my room didn't block the light very well and I'm not an early riser, so I had to wear a eyemask starting at around 5am. The drawer in the desk didn't stay closed (annoying if you are working at the desk a lot). And there were no decaf tea options.
Pros: Nice, clean and central.

Pros: The hotel’s restaurant, affiliated with New York chef Marcus Samuelson, was outstanding. The flavors were creative and bright and the prices were reasonable. Pleasant service.
Cons: The rooms were awkward. There was no proper closet to hang our clothes. While we were here, there was a heatwave. Without air conditioning it was frightfully hot in the room.
Pros: Very good hotel, I wouldn't hesitate to visit it as.
Cons: Very good hotel, I wouldn't hesitate to visit it as.

Cons: Noise from ground floor restaurant was disturbing to at least second floor.

Pros: Cozy town. Nice beds at the hotel. Good breakfast.

Cons: A bit noisy outside at night, due to a local taxi stop....but this is not a big issue
Pros: Still good location! Breakfest OK.
Cons: The hotel has changed the name (and network) into SCANDIC and definetely not deserve for 4****, room renovation is a must!
Pros: I liked that they had a restaurant in same building, entrance from the lobby. Even that we missed the hotels dinner, we could easily get a good evening supper without having to first look for a downtown restaurant. I also apprecaited the free parking just outside the hotel. Rooms were nice and bathrooms excellent.
Cons: well...it´s nothing really We asked for a quite room in email-contact, we got a room toward the street, which was noisy in the morning. I´m sure, however, if we asked to change rooms when we arrived it wouldn´t have been any problem...we were just to tired to bother with it when we came.

Pros: Good stuff. Very friendly. Warm room and comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Very nice location. I was in Östersund because the Biathlon World Championship and I'm happy that booked this hotel twice. Thank you!

Pros: Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Good location between town centre and railway station.
Cons: Room was a bit cramped.
Pros: Very good location just in the middle, nice and helpful staff, free parking! Very good breakfast. Old fashion but nice hotel. One step from the harbour. We came in the late afternoon, couldn't use the sauna because the boat of the manager drowned in the lake on that day. In the day after we went to Froson and to the Jamtly museum. Recommended!
Cons: There was nothing to dislike. We loved everything.

Pros: Exceptionally helpful staff -- and I mean exceptionally; put on an early cooked breakfast for me at about 5.30 am. Beyond what could be reasonably expected. Nicely quirky building, as might be expected from a converted theatre.
Cons: Nothing. Every interaction I had was as good as I could have wished it to be.
Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff, fantastic décor and quirky feel to the hotel.
Cons: They priced me for a full 3 day stay after I had to cancel on day 1. I wouldn't have mind paying a small cancelation fee but the full price is just bad service. They didn't seem to care much about it either, two can play that game. Bad service.

Pros: Good beds
Cons: Bad sound insulation, Bad locations for The power outlet, Small resturant for breakfast.
Pros: Room, bed, breakfast, all was good. This is a 3-star hotel, but we got all we needed The room has a sitting-group, which is a plus, and a fridge as well as facilities to make tea/coffee. We think the sleeping areas newly have been redecorated. The room was quiet - as we wanted.
Cons: We stayed Friday and Saturday. we were told that on those days we can not buy any food at the hotel. The hotel is situated in the outskirts of Østersund, it took us about 20 minutes to walk to restaurants in town (only minutes in car). However there is a small pizza cafe right round the corner, and they sell delicious stonebaked pizzas.
Pros: Great breakfast, good room, nice personal, good price.
Pros: Perfect location, clean comfortable room, excellent breakfast
Pros: Helpful staff. Bike loan. Good breakfast
Pros: Great breakfast! Good extra bed in the family rom.
Pros: The breakfast was good, the room comfortable and the staff very helpful.

Pros: The beds - very good. The pillows were excellent. The staff did exceed all our expectations.
Cons: The toalet-paperdispenser was not in the best order. Shower-water did float too wide. People smoking just outside our Window.

Cons: It is a hotel on the second floor of a building which initially did not give a good impression but the remaining facilities were very good.
Pros: Central, just in the middle of the shoppingarea, with car parking in the basement and elevator up to the hotelrooms.
Pros: God rum and god price with a nice lokation
Pros: Hotel is right in the heart Östersund. Many restaurants and shops in the vicinity. We pre-booked parking from the hotel so we didn't have to use the car daily since the place was so central. Costs 100SEK per day.
Cons: Could probably use some upgrades in the rooms.
Pros: Very good breakfast and the location of the hotel was perfect. Nice that the hotel had a garage, so we could park our car
Pros: Charming original Swedish house about 100 years old. Spacious and comfortable.
Cons: All good!
Pros: Huge apartment, beautifully decorated with interesting details. Very central and comfortable place to stay with free parking right outside the house.
Pros: Location and space.
Cons: Clearer info on the situation related to procedure.....it also could have been cleaner.....we had no incentive to do a good cleaning job ourselves especially after 1 night only....
Pros: Location close to city centre with only a short walk. Off street parking was good. Apartment was warm and comfortable as it was cold outside. Saw a fox in the yard on two of our days there.
Cons: Price was to high for what was offered...The WiFi didn’t work we had to make the beds ourselves and clean the flat before leaving to the same price as a pretty ok hotel room
Pros: Very nice Appartment. Best choice we made the last two weeks.
Cons: Too noisy if someone visits the appartment above. Otherwise the value for money was ok.

Pros: Really nice accomodation and friendly staff!
Pros: I quite enjoyed that I had a 4 bed room to myself, very quite and calm place. Lots of places to get food in the surrounds. Very Clean.
Cons: A bit far away from the main station.
Pros: Amazing Staff ! Unbelievably helpful with a late arrival, would definitely recommend !
Cons: dirty kitchen very bad bed, better to sleep on the floor
Pros: Basic, affordable rooms with good location and a nice shared kitchen and dining area. Good for families that need a place to sleep for a night or two.
Pros: The properly was in a good location. The beds were comfortable. It was very quiet there which was good. 100m so a supermarket which was very handy. Clean shared bathroom.
Cons: I felt bad that our train to Ostersund was late therefore the receptionist had to wait for us. There’s only specific check in times which showed that it was not occupied by any workers during certain periods of time. We did not get any pillow cases with our bedding but couldn’t get any due to no one being in reception. We arrived to a foyer full of rubbish bags and kitchen white goods as the kitchen was being renovated. It was cleaned the next day. I believe we were the only ones there during our stay. Shared bathroom was fine however the shower head was broken so it had to be held the whole time.
Pros: Everything was so nice and I could sleep very well :D Thank you very much !

Set in a charming wooden building, this property is a 5-minute walk from Östersund Central Station. Stortorget, the town’s main square, is 900 metres away. Guests have access to a well-equipped kitchen. The bright and cheerfully decorated guest rooms at Pensionat Svea include cable TV and shared bathroom facilities. Some feature wooden floors, while others are carpeted. Guests can enjoy access to free Wi-Fi, billiards and a sauna at a neighbouring property, 30 metres away from Svea Pensionat. Free private parking is also available on site. Within 5 minutes’ drive of the property is Rådhusgatan shopping street and Jamtli, a cultural history museum.
Pros: The city is just around the corner so you need just 5 min to be at the city hall.
Cons: There was only 1 bathroom for around 10-15 guests. The walls are very thin and therefore it was very loud even if the guests had a normal noice level. The bathroom was cleaned every day, but not the toilets. This wouldn't be so bad if the price was lower.
Pros: Great to be on holiday with the dog and not have to pay extra for the privilege of having him sleep on the floor of the hotel room rather than in the car. The receptionist was extremely helpful/pleasant/friendly, and breakfast was excellent.
Cons: The walk to the toilet in the middle of the night wasn't much fun (along a creaky communal corridor, and past the kitchen), and it was a good walk to the hotel from the car park (although we were unlucky that we couldn't unload the car by stopping for a minute or two directly outside) but otherwise we had no complaints.
Pros: Nice building. Big double room with sofa and sink
Pros: Quaint vibe. Quiet. It has a very BnB feel to it, which is not common outside the UK. Also, the complimentary breakfast was heartfelt.
Cons: We were the only occupants over the Easter weekend, which meant we had all the otherwise shared facilities to ourselves. So can't complain much there.
Pros: Nice staff
Pros: The staff of the hotel that I picked the key, were very friendly and service-minde. The room was fairly good. The shower was clean, and the kitchen was fairly equiped. There was even ear-plugs in the room which was out of expectation.
Cons: There were not enough electricity outlets in the room (I had to unplug a lamp to charge my phone). The small toilet was too tight but I guess it's not much one can do about it.
Pros: BREAKFAST WAS IDEAL AND HEALTHY. NICE RESTERAUNT
Comfortable rooms in beautiful surroundings, just a few minutes south of central Ostersund and close to Lake Storsjon.
Pros: Very easy and good location for travelers with cars. Good reastaurand (and breakfast) at the hotel so it's not necessary to go to the city center to eat. Own parking places (some with "roof")
Cons: The hotel is a bit "motel like" but otherwise it was great.
Pros: The Scandic's usual superb buffet breakfast
Pros: The room was cosy, bathroom was very spacious. Restaurant was great and breakfast even greater. All of the staff was polite and helpful. WiFi was fast.
Pros: polite, nice staff.
Cons: some problem with ckeaning the roon, public places Smelly bathroom ( suppose that someone had smoked cigarett there esrlier)
Pros: Breakfast, wifi
Cons: The room wasn't clean. Dust and waste on the floor.
The Sure Hotel by Best Western Algen is a friendly, family hotel in the center of Ostersund. Close to the city center and the train station. The hotel was totally remodeled in 2016 and today the rooms are decorated with details that make you think of nature and the forest. The hotel has a restaurant which serves a small a la carte menu which is located on the first floor. There is also a nice outdoor area for the summer nights. Downstairs the hotel has a relaxation area with lounge furniture and a sauna.
Pros: Awesome breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. The location is excellent when you travel by train.
Cons: There was no table/desk in the room I got. The radiators were making quite a bit of noise from the water flowing through them
Cons: Food was poor. The room was not clean. The sofa was dusty and lot og food there as well. No airconditionen but the ventilation system in the kitchen keept us awake. Bad smell in the korridorer.

Pros: Very Nice rooms, goodd bathroom. A lot of ecologikel thinking - very good. Breakfast absolutely ok, again eco-thinking. Personelly I thougt it was great With a lot off good tea variants!
Cons: The exterioer off the hotell was quit shabby
A stay at Hotell Linden places you in the heart of Östersund, within a 15-minute walk of Ostersund Town Hall and Badhusparken. Featured amenities include luggage storage, a safe deposit box at the front desk, and coffee/tea in a common area. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Breakfast was good and location was good
Cons: Bathroom was to small and simple. The toilet did not have space enough to sit down. When driving with a electrical car you should be able to offer some kind of charging plug - no need to have a very high KWH but good to have the car charged during the night. The few charging places around was occupied or not working (some hade special membership that was ot common). Had to drive 20 off the centrum to charge on Tesla Supercharge in wrong direction before driving back home to Oslo.
Pros: Only location was nice.
Cons: breakfast was poor. worst was stinking refrigerator.
Pros: THE LOCATION WAS OK COULD WALK INTO TOWN TO EAT,EASY TO FIND AND GET BACK ON ROUTE
Cons: THE BATH ROOM WAS VERY VERY SMALL, COULDNT SWING A CAT IN IT, COULD JUST GET ON THE TOILET, SINK WAS NO GOOD VERY VERY SMALL, SHOWER WAS JUST BIG ENOUGH GOOD JOB WE WERENT LARGE PEOPLE?
