Friendly staff, lovely rooms, comfortable beds, amazing breakfast, beautiful pool, and the very best shower ever... what more can anyone want?
The room was too small for 2 adults and 2 children. The rooms at the Hotel's level K are smelling on moisture and not suitable to overnight.
The room are good and big. we had a room close to the stairs that can give some rumor in the night when people come back home after going out. staff is good, very young , but good,.
We liked the service and the hotel very much. Everybody was helpful and basically did all they can to assist with our needs. We thought that the hotel wasn't really set up for kiddies. We felt welcomed but really nothing for the kids to do.
Lovely hotel with some rooms overlooking the mountains. Relaxing spa facilities, comfortable rooms and good food in restaurant. Parking is fairly limited
very nice rooms, clean SPA, friendly staff, good food especially clients from the netherlands showed a behaviour not acceptable in the SPA area and the breakfast area. sometimes it was difficult to read a book nearby the swimming pool without earplugs...
The staff was courteous, professional and made us feel very welcome. The rooms were spacious, clean and nice. Restaurant had excellent food and service. Staff was able to speak English and provided us an English menu. Very pleased with our accomodations and service!
A small and very friendly hotel. All the staff treated us in the best way The hotel lays close the the main street. Heavy traffic (big trucks) driving fast!
Very helpfull staff, good breakfast
Everything regarding the hotel Hotel Sauerländer Hof was first class. It was my first visit but if I am to visit the area again I would not hesitate to book this hotel again, perfect service, excellent value for money, brilliant staff and a typical German atmosphere with excellent food and and of course the beers.
The ambience of the hotel. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere.
The staff was wonderful;it was the first time I was greeted with a handshake by the brother and sister team who run the hotel. Had dinner there each night, and the food was delicious. The room was nice, clean with beautiful woodwork reflecting the local industry. Could use elevator that goes to 3rd floor, not one that stops @ 2nd floor, and more parking spaces.
Good ratio quality price, very good dinner
The hotel was very attractive and had a nice, quaint atmosphere. The innkeepers were very personable, accommodating and spoke English. The restaurant had good food and great service.
friendly, clean, new, just a great value
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The facility was beautiful. Accommodations spacious and well kept. Meals were also excellent.
Nice people and clean chamber and bathroom. In our chamber on the frontside there was far too many roadnoise!!
The room was clean, comfortable and a good size. The breakfast was good. The staff were nice and friendly. We would definately stay here again, my wife & I were there for a few days snowboarding and felt the hotel had everything we needed. Only downside to the hotel is that its on a fairly busy road which can be quite noisy, but unless your a very light sleeper I wouldn't let it put you off staying here!
The staff at the hotel were very plesant and more than helpful. Part of the hotel was being renovated but this had no effect on the room, clenliness or the stunning view from the hotel room. The hotel was easy to find, on the main road next to the fuel station. The rooms were large so they could accommodate the large bed which was very comfortable. The ensuite bathroom was very clean with more than enough towels. The restauraunt showed exceptional value for money, the goose dinner was excellent so was the fish platter that my wife had. The buffet style continental breakfast was reasonable with a lgood selection of meats and cheeses but the cereal dishes were a bit on the small side. The only thin la`cking was an alarm clock in the room and larger cereal bowls. Apart from that the Hotel wwas excellent, and very good value for money.
Not exactly ''in the hub of things'', but the place had a nice restaurant and little pub/bar area, so everything was there. Great, friendly staff and a nice Continental breakfast each morning. We stayed as we were watching the Ski jumping World Cup. If you have a car, it was a great base for the area. It was also only a 20 min drive to some small, local ski hills. It was a bit noisy. I would recommend ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
The staff were very helpful and spoke good English, however, they allowed us to practice our German. The staff were also fully up to date about local events in nearby villages/towns, making recommendations for us to visit. The food was good and plentiful and the breakfast was varied and well stocked. The bar allowed smoking on the premises and as it is a small bar, it quickly became filled with cigarette smoke, however, this did not happen in the restaurant.
The room was clean and warm, the staff were friendly and it was good value for money. The restaurant served very ggod food and the breakfast buffet was very generous.
very nice staff, good price /quality relation
Great breakfast, comfortable beds It was 13 km to Winterberg
Nice hotel close to Winterberg with simple but good rooms with tv and shower, good food, good breakfast, all for a very good price.
I was very pleased with the staff and the space in the room. I was surprised by the size for the money we had to pay. Very kind owner and good food.
Good value for money. Breakfast was good. Staff was very nice! - Smell outside the appartment (oil-like smell) -The blankets were too small for large people.
Good appartment Breakfast limited choice
The appartment was surely big enough for four people. View on the church from the balcony. Breakfast was nice. The room was not smoke-free. Blankets feel nasty.
Easy to locate, friendly staff. The breakfast was simple and plentiful, my children loved the hot chocolate for breakfast. The dinner menu was equally simple, but the schnitzels were good value and tasty. Staff spoke no English whatsoever. My room was big enough for a family, but uncomfy beds and pillows were a let down. Add to this hand towels for bathing and it is a true 'pension' for the region. The cost however was quite steep and on par with a city hotel.
