fantastic veiws good food neat and interesting rooms nice and helpfull staff
The Schlosshotel Berghaus Kronenburg was a delightful treat. Staff are charming and the atmosphere is gracious and relaxed. The village is ancient, charming and friendly. Room was well appointed with character. Food and service were very good. The room reservation was a small problem. An error resulted in sharing a suite with two bedrooms rather than two seperate rooms. The staff were very accomodating and the arrangements were satisfactory.
The hotel was recently renovated so all furniture and fittings were new. The location was lovely and the pool was a welcome bonus. There is no internet anywhere other than the lobby area; hotel staff are difficult to find at times and thus service is erratic. There are no English speaking channels on the television. The restaurant food was reasonable but the fixed menu had no choice and on our second evening was very disappointing. The service in the restaurant was unbelievably slow!
Great suite, with private sauna, very comfortable, nice beds, kind staff, and the location is absolutely stunning, especially the village itself. Restaurant, also Orangerie, is very pricy for the quality you get. Parking is a problem to be solved. We weren't warned about the Christmasfair around the hotel and had to walk 1 km up hill with our luggage. Also, the navigation sends you the wrong way, as mentioned before - would be a good idea to put a sign there.
The breakfast was really good, the rooms were very beutiful. the room was lacking a bit of daylight, but that's normal in a castle i guess
The room was luxurious and even included a sauna in the bathroom! The food was gourmet and the service was impeccable. We loved everything so much that we booked a second night while we were there!
Nice rooms, beautiful location, very friendly personnel No wifi the rooms
The views were outstanding, and the room was superb.
Kronenburg! Very nice place to stay for some days, the old houses, the castle, very quiet, a lot to see and do in the area. Maybe there should be heating in the floor in the bathroom.
Great environment, lovely room, charachteristic hotel, beautifully renovated, delcious dinner and extensive breakfast. Staff very friendly. Very small parking
We were welcomed as Royalty and cossetted by the small family team who own and run Villa Kronenburg. Brilliant hospitality, flawless English, and amazing personal service by first-class-service trained proprietor Ingmar Elsen were a highlight of our whole year. Delightful meals were served with full silver-service trimmings. We also loved the forest setting and the spectacular panoramic bedroom views from the fairytale outcrop-edge location. The villa is reached up stairs from its own private parking area or by a quaint, almost mediaeval, level cobbled street from the public car park. You can park right outside the front door, but not for long! Free wifi complimented a memorable relaxing week - booked 4 nights, stayed 6.
We couldn't have been made more welcome! Our room, the staff, the food were all excellent ~ nothing was too much trouble. We were very impressed with all the extra little touches that made our stay here special. We will certainly return and recommend it to anyone who likes peace and quiet, good food and excellent service.
