Pros: Beautiful room with lovely shared areas, fantastic greeting on arrival, drinks and a great breakfast. Lovely bath and beautiful bathroom facilities, all the little touches were perfect. Highly recommended.
Cons: Somewhat out of the way, but good connections to major roads and very secluded. Can't pay by international credit card - make sure you have cash or the ability to do international bank transfers (we used Monzo).
Pros: This is a really cute house overall and the owner did an excellent job decorating it. It feels very homey and comfortable and it's definitely one of the best places I've stayed in Europe. Breakfast was wonderful - beautifully displayed and very tasty.
Cons: Everything was perfect except the wifi didn't work past 12 am the night we stayed, but I assume it's just a temporary problem.
Pros: Very nice hosts and the breakfast was incredible!
Pros: Everything was perfect - absolutely warm and cosy interiors, comfortable mattress, tasty breakfast, very nice owners, free tea and coffee. Awesome!

Pros: Loved the car motif decoration.
Pros: Very good food, quiet and good location for a stop towards other locations. Close to the highway. Good value for money.
Cons: Matress a bit too hard, could be an idea with an upper matress with softer characteristic.
Pros: Very comfortable, modern room in historic hotel in small village. Friendly and helpful staff. Very good dining room, nice decor.
Pros: small but nice room, nice shower, nice patio & view, parking was great & food was good
Cons: no soap/shampoo in the room; room was right by the stairwell - very noisy when people went by
Pros: The facilities were clean and staff was friendly. Restaurant served great food and breakfast was good value for money.
Pros: Location to the main roads, and still very quiet, and easy parking and good breakfast and dinner.
Pros: The view was very nice, and apart from it being located near the stairs (and thus noise) I was very satisfied with the room. Sadly I couldn't sample the kitchen as I was there for a family gathering.
Cons: The bathroom was a tad small, the bed was significantly softer than I prefer it to be, and aforementioned the room being near the stairs made it loud at times.
Pros: We have now stayed at this hotel on three occasions. It's a great stop-off for us on the way between the ferry at Ijmuiden and Denmark. The beer (brewed in house) is excellent, the wines are excellent, and the food delicious.
Pros: The rooms were big and clean. The bathrooms seamd to have been modified, and were realy Nice. The Food was realy good. The area around was quiet
Pros: Great beer and food

Pros: Unbelievable food.
Cons: Way out in the country. Staff more focused on restaurant serving patrons than checking in guests
Pros: Good and clean.
Cons: Too late brakfast start (8am, where imho better is 7am).

Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Thr room was larger than average but the TV was too small.
Cons: There was an unpleaseant smell from the bathroom drains which was not corrected during our stay. I would venture to suggezt that at 17€ pp the breakfast was overpriced.
Pros: Room was a good size, comfy bed, good location.
Cons: Heating was not on when arrived so had to wait for room to warm up. No mini bar and expensive room service charge.
Pros: Convenient location for business
Cons: Expensive breakfast
Pros: Very friendly staff, breakfast buffet
Cons: No A/C in the room, opened window for fresh air, but hotel is close to church (bell noise), hotel restaurant was closed (no room service available)
Pros: The pool and the sauna were great. There was a coffee/tea machine in the room and a fridge. But having stayed there before I am not sure if this is new or that I was I a better room this time. There is not much in Buchholz to see and do but the Thai and the Greek restaurant (Athena) were good and there are a reasonable number of shops. However the Luneburg Heath is close by and Hamburg is 25 minutes by train. Station is 10 minutes walk away. The staff are helpful and very friendly.
Cons: The equipment in the fitness room needs upgrading. The cross-trainer was unstable and squeaked. We therefore didn't feel that we could use it.
Pros: Stayed here a few times. Good deals are available especially in winter. Good sauna and pool. Some rooms have coffee and tea making facilities and a fridge but most do not
Pros: location is good
Cons: staff not friendly. bathroom not clean.
Pros: Sauna. Pool. Close to the centre and the railway station
Cons: The pool is sometimes used by the local community which is fine as it is for occasional short periods but it would be useful to be given this information at check in.
Pros: Nice clean room. Very friendly staff.

Pros: -decent breakfast -staff (I mean the lady who saved situation during checking in - thank you!) -quiet neighbourhood
Cons: - the owner forgot to ask for payment during checkout (btw i thought its booking who's taking care of payments but its not the case here so be aware) and did not call us - he wrote an email in german, so after i saw and translated it, we had to come back 70 km. He did not say "sorry" or anything - small problems during checking in as well - there was one bed missing in the room, luckily the lady who took care of us was very professional and fixed the problem -very old bathroom with dark stains
Cons: Property is older and is really in need of an update.
Pros: Family with 2 small children. Very large room with big boxspring bed. Extra bed was good quality. Also a real sofa, table and chairs and balcony. We had room 17. We were the only guests that night but still there was a very good breakfast buffet served for us with eggs, 3 kinds of cheese, 8 different kinds of meat, smoked salmon, yoghurt, cereal,... Breads were plenty and still warm! Will definately recommand this guest house!
Cons: Not bad for us but maybe older people will have problems with the stairs (no elevator) and the guest house is one street away from the breakfast/restaurant.
Pros: Good location and safe parking place for car. Room was cosy and beds were comfortable. Staff was very friendly and dinner after long driving tasted good. The front desk arranged the key to our very late arriving friends!
Cons: small problems may occur if you do not speak German at all
Pros: Dinner was fabulous. After 10 hours on the road it was a welcome. Owners were low key and not in your face.
Pros: Good location and free parking
Cons: Dated, worn, tiny double room, cobwebs, unkempt reception staff smoking while checking me in. Disastrous place.
Pros: We had a great family room and the lady at the reception help us find it. The beds were very comfortable, the space was clean. Breakfast was OK, limited, but that is quite common in Germany in our experience. The staff were friendly.
Cons: The bathroom was a bit old and might need renovation. The only real inconvenience was that the water handle in the shower did not work properly, so it was a little bit challenging to open the tap.
