Pros: Very helpful people. We really appreciated the assistance with onward travel arrangements and the offers of transportation. Very friendly and welcoming

Pros: Location was perfect. A large house. Host, Francoise (Francis) was exceptional and welcomed us when we arrived for our stay. She also greeted us and when we arrived for breakfast the next morning. Breakfast was exceptional with home cooked pancakes, jams, yogurt. In addition coffee, OJ, eggs, croissants and cakes also available. Comfortable bed. Host had an historical perspective about Villers Brx during WWI and we enjoyed the dialogue about the Australian war effort. Geographical location - close to pharmacy and war museum. Also not far from Australian war cemetery. This is the obvious choice to stay as all needs met. 'Galaxy', the pet labrador, was also there to welcome us when we arrived.
Cons: Nothing, it was perfect.

Pros: Françoise is the best host, breakfast was a French feast, with explanations. We were made to feel part of the family, such special treatment is rare these days. The bedroom is a good size with a country view. To stay in a French village with a French family is to immerse yourself in local culture, we recommend it. Thank you Françoise for a fabulous experience.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts were very friendly & helpful with recommendations, including making a restaurant booking for us. A magnificent breakfast spread was laid out each morning and we had access to a full kitchen & a fridge full of goodies. The dining area overlooked the lovely garden and we were welcome to take as long as we liked over breakfast. They have on site parking & pleasant gardens. It was a great base to explore Amiens and the nearby WW1 memorial and Sir John Monash Centre and the little school that "never forgets Australia".
Cons: The bedroom & the dining area were in separate buildings, only a few steps away but took us a little while to get used to.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was excellent, family very accommodating
Cons: nothing everything was fine
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts, the whole family were so warm and welcoming. They even drove us to the John Monash Center and to the train when we were leaving. Breakfast was great and a kitchen with all you could ask for
Cons: There were no taxis or buses in the town and no restaurants open for dinner
5.8 Okay
Pros: It was clean and the eating area was adequate.
Cons: We didn't like the accommodation. It appeared to be a converted garage. There were no windows that could be opened only a glass sliding door. We had to rely on air conditioning to provide circulating air. In order to have privacy we had to close the shutter. If the shutter was down and there was a problem with the electricity, ie fire etc.there would be no way of exiting the place. There was also limited space for luggage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were delightful, very helpful and only too willing to accommodate our needs. They put in much effort to provide a suitable breakfast. The room was comfortable. The hotel was an ideal base to explore the World War I battlefields of the Somme. Easy car parking in the yard.
Cons: The place is not easy to find and streets of Villers-Bretonneux are not easy to navigate in a car.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The kindness and help given by Audrey and parents was way beyond our expectations and we would not hesitate in returning to this property in the future
Cons: There was nothing that we did not like

Pros: The pool and games room were fantastic. The hosts were lovely.
Cons: It was a heat wave and there was no air conditioning or fan. We were in the family room on the top floor and it was just too hot!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely scenic and well maintained property. Very friendly and helpful hostess. Food was reasonably priced and very tasty.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely welcome. Great communication. Clean and comfortable. We loved the fact we were offered dinner (good price) which was really nice, especially as we had finished a long drive didn’t like the idea of having to go out and find somewhere, just wanted to eat and relax.... and we did.
Cons: Nothing... although someone said they had fresh fruit available at breakfast, we didn’t but we did book late in the day.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A quiet peaceful country location. The evening meal was a three course meal prepared on the premises and was very good and included wine and water at no extra charge. The meal cost was €20 which is reasonable for the quality. The tower I was in was novel and whilst I enjoyed it this location will not be ok for everyone as I mention in the did not like section following. The toilet and shower rooms were very clean. Shower gel and shampoo and towels were available.
Cons: My room was in a tower structure with many steps and different levels between the upper bedroom and the toilet and shower. I did not know I would be put in this place and I had to carry heavy cases up and down for my 2 night stay. Whilst I am fit enough to handle this there would be other older and less fit people who would struggle. The host must make the limitations clear to any persons they are going to put in the tower. The internet could not be engaged first up from the bedroom and this had to be done on the ground floor. I had to request that the heaters be switched on at the mains. The tower inside was not finished off. It needed painting completed. The shower was unecessarily complicated. There was no exhaust fan in the shower room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The spacious rear garden area with undercover area (when available - if not used for washing to dry) to sit and relax with an end of day drink. Spacious room. Closeness to Villers-Bretonneux if driving. Being met on arrival.
Cons: Late check in time - limited times for breakfast and evening meal - told to keep front door to premises unlocked when we were the only people staying in the premises and owners appeared to be out - long table seating for breakfast and having to share juice, french toast, spreads, etc with other guests.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Being out in the countryside and the breakfast
Cons: No air conditioning or a fan on the upper floor during the hot weather of our stay
7.0 Good
Pros: Overall it is a nice comfortable place with a large garden in a quiet surrounding. The management was relaxed with nothing locked up at any time.
Cons: The room, neither inside nor outside was fully completed at the time of our stay. Building work on the facade was still in progress and the kitchen not yet fully functional. Both the bed and the couch were much too low for elderly people. The owner should give some thought to the impossibility of leaving the room in case of an emergeny with a power failure when the blinds are down. There is no exit door.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice and tranquil gardens. Our room was at the top of the tower on two floors, they were modern and bright, very nice. The breakfast was served on one long table in a new barn conversion, which was again modern and bright a nice experience.
Cons: Although there were plenty of seating areas in the garden, there were no sun loungers.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable modern suite with tasteful decoration and impeccably clean
Cons: Nothing really for a one night stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great.
Cons: There was no fresh fruits available for the breakfast.

Pros: Stephanie and team were more than helpful especially with our language barrier, also food was really great, we definitely will return on our next visit to the Somme.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location was good in respect to visiting the Monash War Memorial.
Cons: We could not check in until 6:30pm The lady checking us in was inattentive and disinterested. The toilet was VERY noisy The shower cubicle too small to turn around in.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent base for touring Australian WW1 memorials and graveyards. Also close to Amiens and the cathedral which is well worth a visit.
Cons: Corbie is small township and as such has limited places to eat or drink and some quirky opening hours including our hotel. However still a great little place to stay. Ceiling fan in the room would also have been nice.
7.0 Good
Cons: Although it was June, it turned cold, and we were not able to switch the heating on. We assumed that saying yes to breakfast for all 4 days at the beginning was enough, so surprised that we'd not been catered for on our last morning. WiFi was intermittent.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This was an excellent location especially as we were attending ANZAC Day Dawn service at the Australian Memorial In Villers-Bretonneux the next morning. We stayed two nights which allowed recovery time after a big day. The restaurant was great we had dinner there both nights and breakfast on our last morning. Staff do everything they can to help but you will still need your translator App on the phone to help you order what you want.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and accommodating considering i dont speak french and they didnt speak english. Really nice hotel and no issues storing a bike in my room
Cons: Nil
5.0 Okay
Pros: The surrounding country side, Albert, Villers-Bretonneux

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was as expected and a good standard for the class of Hotel. The position of the Hotel is good for exploring the area ( 1st world war sites) The staff while not speaking much English are friendly and helpful. The only thing you should be aware of is that Corbie is shut Friday to Tuesday with very little open including the Hotel restaurant.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: There was a nice resto in the hotel. Technically next to where i stay. Staffs were really kind abd the hotel room was clean
Cons: My room was a 1st floor so i had to close the curtain all the time as it is facing to a parking
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall EVERYTHING was good
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The usual excellent service from helpful and friendly staff. We have used the Glisy Campanile for a number of one night stop overs over the last few years and have enjoyed every one. We have their evening meal option which has always been good. We don't take breakfast, as we stop en route later in the morning for a coffee. The air-con was welcome on this stay, as we were on the edge of the canicule.
7.5 Good
Pros: Customer service
Cons: Food not as good as other Campaniles. Sparse buffet, tough steak
7.0 Good
Pros: Great restaurant
Cons: Slightly out of town
5.5 Okay
Pros: The room was expensive! At Limoges Campanile the day after I paid 35Euros less and the accommodation was better.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was a nice comfy room with good beds and clean sheets. The location doesn't look "attractive" but its practical, its close to the city but far enough to be able to relax outside if you want to. There are a lot of restaurants and shops nearby at walking distance aswell. Considering it only costed me 59 euro, its great.
Cons: Its maybe a little close to the highway, but the rooms are well isolated.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel's restaurant and enyoyed the food very much. For dinner we had the starter buffet (eat as much as you like) with french fries and the lovely local beer "Panaché". The breakfast buffet was as good as ever. We recommend the restaurant: very good food and good value for money.
Cons: Everything was as it should be in good restaurant!!!
5.8 Okay
Cons: The room smelt of smoke and we were unable to eat in the restaurant which was disappointing as I am disabled.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very clean, modern interior.
Cons: Location is a bit drab. 2-3 hotels in car park area and next to retail parks. No view.

Pros: Very good value and worked a treat for a stopover on way back from Limoges
Cons: Decor a little tired but everything worked as it should and bed comfy and clean.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location was good for us. Quaint old building. Friendly staff. Great breakfast.
Cons: Location of the room. In the 'attic'!! No lift and up 2 flights of curving stairs. NO windows to open which would have helped with heat and seeing out. Room had many angles and we were hitting our head many times. (Mansard roofed bldg.) Would recommend staying on a lower level.

4.5 Okay
Pros: I booked this as a last minute stopover whilst returning to Calais and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. I cant think of anything I liked.
Cons: When we arrived the reception was closed so had to use the automated booking. Got to the rooms and whilst they were next to each other I had requested adjoining rooms and a confirmation was sent to say this was fine so this created a problem as our children would have been in a separate room. Throughout the grounds on our arrival there were groups of people sitting around on the grass and pavements and were staring at us continually. This made us feel uncomfortable. We put our bags in the room and went for something to eat. On returning my wife was on the balcony talking to my eldest daughter. (the balcony was communal and had all of the room doors on it). She was approached by a man in somewhat of a drunken state who said something to her then continued to stare at her from outside his room. There was a lot of other men at the other end of the balcony being loud. This again made us feel uncomfortable, so much so that although we booked two rooms we all slept in one as I was not prepared for the girls to be in a room without me. Throughout the night there was noise and banging and my wife and I hardly got any sleep.
6.8 Good
Pros: Easy on and off the highway
Cons: Breakfast was not very good no protein outside of yogurt. Bathroom was tiny. Only two towels per room even though you booked for three adults.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location. Few places around good for food
Cons: Rude staff
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great value for the money, clean and simple
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very easy to get to. Plenty of places around to get some food. There was plenty of free parking. Perfect for somewhere to stay for 1 night to break up a long journey.
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was simple (not many things to choose from), but we could eat as much as we wanted. The location is great for someone who is visiting Amiens and then driving to a different location (quick access to the highway.
Cons: If you arrive after 21.00, you have to check-in by yourself and you need a credit card to pay for a local tax of 0.5 euros/person. There is someone who responds to a phone call, if needed, but you do need a credit card.
6.8 Good
Pros: Was clean and had air-conditioning
Cons: The location, it wasn't very easy to find. The breakfast is not very good. Being in France you would expect to have at least some croissant instead of only white bread
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable bed, friendly staff, good value for the money
Cons: Nothing to dislike
7.0 Good
Pros: This is a very basic, budget priced hotel. Fine if all you want are the basics. It is in a very good location for exploring the Battlefields of the Somme of 1918.
Cons: Advertised rooms for 2 unrelated adults were a double bed with a bunk across the head of the bed. This would only be suitable for a couple with a child and then it would be very cramped.
7.5 Good
Pros: Easy to find, fresh and well-cleaned, ok breakfast (but remember to pay extra)
Cons: Very small cabin-like showers, small rooms, feels like you’re on a boat.
