The staff were friendly and unobtrusive. The food was very good. I would like tea making equipment in the room. A recipe book from the chef would sell very well we thought.
they upgraded my room when i arrived. The food is amazing and the staff are there for whatever you need! This was my 4th time at the hotel. no
Breakfast-dinner Bad attitude with staff. Overpriced! Not even a 3 star.
The meals were of a very high standard and the dining room was very well set up. The pool was very pleasant, the staff was very attentive and efficient.. The rooms were large, but not very well furnished.
Right on kinneret. At night it was relaxing to just hang out outside by lake Outdoor bar was closed. Far from city.
Staff, location and the jacuzzi!!! The reaturant and the food ...fantastic! There is not a great beach.
The hotel, location and view on the Sea Galilee.
Great location of the hotel, all bedrooms have a view on the lake. The Spa is really nice. Bedrooms and lobby are very comfortable and tidy.
location on the Sea of Galilee only option for meals was the buffet
Wonderful Experience. Beautiful Views - great service. Room was spotless and we enjoyed the view of lake Galilee,
view of Galilee. unexpected room upgrade!
We were really disappointed with the hotel. Actually, we were going to stay two nights and we decided to cancel one night and to leave. The furniture and accomodation of the room was ugly. It was not absolutely the one of a 5 star hotel.
We thought the quality of food provided was good albeit that the selection of wine was limited and several wines were not available. Our room with a very fine view overlooked the cemetary - not so good. The hotel appeared a little tired, may be because it was at the end of the season.
The hotel is within easy walking distance of the downtown. The parking is free and right in front of the hotel. The hotel is very easy to find. The young man at the front desk was very helpful during our check-in and went out of his way to answer our questions and make sure we were looked after. The internet in the front lobby is free and fast. The room that we stayed in needed a good cleaning. The bathroom was dirty and needs to be torn out and built up from scratch. Although there was a jacuzzi tub it was not clean enough to use. There was long hair on the tub and toilet and eyeliner pencil shavings in the bathroom sink. Our feet got dirty from walking around on the floor. The blinds in the kitchen were broken. There was a kettle in the kitchen but nothing else to eat with or drink from. The breakfast was basic but sufficient. The hotel is tired and needs to be fixed up. After this experience I'd sacrifice the ease of walking to the downtown and take a cleaner hotel a little further up the hill and drive/park downtown.
They made alternate accommodations in a comparable hotel one block away, at the same rate. I would have appreciated some advance notice, though, but they did take care of everything before I arrived and were helpful in letting me know the situation when I arrived. T Would have appreciated some advance notice about the hotel change.
Had all the basics I needed, good wifi in restaurant area.Spa bath in room. Bit noisy
Simple and clean. Met expectations. Free internet and a very nice breakfast. A very good value
very little furniture was old and battered. bed was hard and uncomfortable. breakfast was barely adequate
Aviv Hotel is nearby to Central Bus Station, markets and scenic places. Its terrace has open view of Sea of Galilee. The staff is friendly and comes to serve guest in his first minutes (immediate). Only improvement needed is to clarify to guests to bring their own cooking utensils for the kitchen use. Also, Aviv serves the same food for breakfast. Blankets provided are too short and small.
We enjoyed the pool and other amenities such as the all included meals and drinks. The condition of the bathroom was poor- the tub was not properly cleaned.
the hotel was just great. the food was excellent. the staff was very nice.the next time i go to tiberias, i would definitely stay in this hotel. the only thing that was missing is group tours to nearby areas like the golan. the desk staff could not help us get a group tour to the golan and other areas nearby.
Very good place, calm, clean, parking, comfortable houses. You can see Gallilean sea from you terrace, you can ride horses. Excellent! Very poor service in restaurant.
Beautiful setting, helpful staff and relaxing spa treatments Beds were a bit hard/
Excellent location of cabin with unobstructed view of the Sea of Galilee. Ample and varied breakfast.
The view was spectacular as were the grounds..We were accompanied by a cute pussycat who met us at our cabin door. We loved visiting with the horses (some people rode). Our cabin was in a wonderful niche overlooking Sea of Gaglilee. Spectacular. The food was excellent, best food we've had in Israel. The service staff in the dining room couldn't be better. If you love the mountains, the spectacular view of the Sea, this is the place to be! Very impressed. Special thanks to the pussycat! Front desk staff were absent most of the time, unhelpful when there. Very unfriendly desk staff.
Nice country hotel, fire place, jacuzy in the room, good restaurant, horse riding We booked most expensive room, they try to give us a cheep one. Jacuzy leek in our room, not a 4 star hotel, cabinet door foult down
Great location and great view on Kinneret. Very quiet and meditative place very close to Beatitudes Mount. Excellent choice for a religious trip. Funny ranchstyle facilities in the middle of nowhere. Cabins 4 and 5 are the best. We got these one after the map we saw on the website.
We enjoyed the secluded nature of the cottages being set apart, each one on its own and the beautiful location in the hillside overlooking the lake. Didn't like the limited WIFI, only available at front desk area, but appreciated that it was free.
delicious breakfast and dinner, beautiful view from balcony, nice large room no free internet
very calm, lovely scenery. A really breathtaking view of the valleys surrounding the Galilee Sea from our terrace. And thumbs up for the nicest staff ever, in particular Gaad !!! no.
Large, comfortable room. Location and setting. Hotel staff were unfriendly and unhelpful.
Very pleasant staff Not really 5 star facilities, ie. Rooms could be more luxurious, no tissues in rooms, there are many stairs in hotel and grounds, not at all suitable for disabled and small children, espec. In buggies, most 5 star hotels leave small gifts in rooms such as a bottle of water each day or some chocolates, but this hotel did not leave anything; a bottle of water would have been appreciated the most as we had to go down to the dining room each time we needed a glass of water
Location near art galleries Hotel was extremely run down- we were disappointed! we stayed at the hotel years ago- when it was much better.
The best was location next to old city. Also tarace with a view to surrounding mountains is marvelous place to finish your day. Not helpful staff. Lot of stairs make your way with luggage complicated.
Overall, the hotel was aesthetically beautiful offering excellent food. The view is breathtaking and it's location is central to the artist colony, restaurants, and shops. The beds weren't so comfortable and blankets not warm enough to ward off the winter chill. Coffee/tea cups were dirty upon our arrival, as so one of the bathtubs had shampoo grease.
I thought the staff were excellent, and where the hotel is situated is perfect for someone visiting Zefat Our room smelt so strongly of furniture polish, it made me feel a little sick and gave me a headache. If I come back I would mention this problem in advance.
Great place, a fantastic experience
Beds were really comfortable and hotel was just lovely. I would have enjoyed a real bar.
Much enjoyed our stay - however visit could have been spoiled by one very rude/off hand member of the Reception Desk team! Room did not have a balcony and the view is now largely blocked by the growth of trees.
We loved the hotel;however, there was a musty smell in the room which made it very difficult to breathe. We aired out the room and that helped. I had the best massage of my life there;the "lomi, lomi ! The views and grounds were just breathtakingly, beautiful. Too few parking spaces.
The food was excellent. The buffet dinners have a reputation locally and it was easy to see why. I did gow tired of the lack of variety for breakfast and the lack of fresh fruit options. I used the internet every day but had to go and sign each day to use it. It would have been nice to buy a week at a time.
It was a peaceful location, and quite pretty. Even though it is not peak season, a hotel still has to offer guests services. This hotel doesn't. The sauna and spa were not in use except during the weekend period, the restaurant was closed etc. There are no shops nearby, so where do you get food when the restaurant is closed?
we likedd the beautiful location and our nice room. Breakfast is a great experience. price of Buffet supper is quite steep.
The hotel was, I imagine, like the Catskills were in their heyday. The hotel was filled with families, many with young children. The facilities were all family friendly. Entertainment was provided nightly. The meals were buffet style and the quality and quantity of food was phenominal. The restaurant continued bringing out fresh food right up until the posted end of the meal time. If you did not want a largemeal, snacks were available in the Coffee Bar. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Most spoke English, but if they didnot, they would quickly get someone who did. The rooms were not modern or new, but they were comfortable. Each room had a small fridge, kettle and supply of coffee and tea. No
The staff were very friendly and were more than helpfull. We stayed in a Jacuzzi Garden Room which was absolutely spotless and very luxurious. Complimentary bathrobes and slippers enhanced the experience. The Food in the restaurant was buffet style and whilst not Gourmet, was more than adequate. Drinks in the bar were very expensive.
This is stunning accomodation. There is so much privacy offered in your own personal wood cabin yet it is communal too if you choose to eat breakfast in the main facility or swim in the beautiful outdoor pool with several viewing points on the Golan Heights that surround you. The staff was so helpful and friendly, especially Shai at front desk and the manager in the dining room at breakfast. Breakfast offers stunning views of the Golan Heights as well. The room is so charming yet modern at the same time. We were on our honeymoon, loved our 2 night stay here and would return in a heartbeat. Nothing - everything was perfect
This is a country hotel in rural surroundings which we would recommend for a family holiday. The hotel was very acceptable in terms of staff, cleanliness, food and facilities. The room was comfortable and clean, but a little dated. We were there over a busy holiday weekend and there were numerous families with small kids which created a fun atmosphere no
Very, nice facilities, room was very nice and well appointed. Room was generally very clean except for the note below. Hotel staff was somewhat court as is typical Israeli style. The jacuzzi in the room was very nice, however when we turned on the jets it filled the tub brown flakes indicating that it was not kept clean and had mold growing in the plumbing. This was disappointing because we were looking forward to relaxing in it after a long day of walking.
We had a lovely stay at what we consider one of the best hotels in one of the most beautiful spots in Israel. The staff were friendly and very helpful; the accomodation and food excellent. We will definitely return.
We stayed in one of the cabins. The view of the Sea was awesome! It was a very quiet place. It was close enough to all of the tourist spots (approx. 15 min. drive), but far enough away from excessive traffic and noise of the city. If you like traffic and noise this is not your place. It was wonderful to come back to every evening. The food was plentiful and good. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean. We did use the jacuzzi tub twice in the 3 nights we stayed there - it was wonderful. If we go back to Israel, we will definately stay here again. No.
it's in a beautiful location with wonderful amenities and amazing breakfast.
The Hotel is very comfortable. The rooms are large and the one we stayed had a patio on a hill that overlooked the Kinneret and Tiberias. We liked everything about the hotel, but it is a 4 star hotel. The dining room was fablous, breakfast wa great and the friday night meal buffet was delicious. Great value. It is really about 25 minutes from Tiberias on the north west side of the Kinneret along a very good road, next to Ein Gev. Highly recommended. Our wake-up call was missed on one occasion. The phones in Isreali hotels cost 2.6 NIS per minute for local calls. The computers to access the internet were not free.
Excellent kosher breakfast. Clean room. Nice hotel.
The hotel is well located - in a sufficient distance from the tourist destinations, while very close to all area attractions - Tsfat, Tiberias, Nazareth, Megido (from 30 minutes to an hour by car). From the terraces and the windows open a magnificent view of the Kinneret, on the outskirts of many excellent restaurants.
Everything except no food service. Lack of food service.
Great for Families
the hotel stafff was so helpful and friendly, we got there late at night and they offered us free drinks from the bar. They helped me half hour explaining directions and on top of it the room was spacious, nice views and breakfast was scrumptious!!
Friendly people and every comfort in a hotel convenient for a Galilee holiday.
Please write at least 15 words the rooms are a good size
Friendly hotel with a warm feeling throughout
warm, jewish and koasher environment rooms a bit outdated
The food was amazing, but we had no idea it would be so much, maybe publishing a menu so people do not eat to much of the earlier dishes and then feel as though the 18 courses that come later will be wasted - particularly at the kiddish lunch after services on shabbos. We dealt with two staff members, only one of which was sensitive to our differing religious beliefs. The kibbutz is orthadox, but my husband and I are less religious, and though we celebrate shabbat, we were made to feel as though we were a little unwelcome by one of teh staff members becuase of our difference in observance, however, the female staff member, who was from England, was very welcoming and made us feel much more like the hotel was more broad in its ability to welcome all Jews. Perhaps the staff - if they dont' want to be outwardly welcoming, could at least hide how they feel about less observant Jews.
The ability to visit with our Granddaughter, who is living at the Kibbutz
