Pros: Our stay here was exceptional. The service was outstanding. A wonderful find.
When the sky is low- the unusual chimneys of Gravetye Manor seem to hold it up to stop it sinking any further. Gently faded by time- forgotten in a quiet corner of Sussex- this manor house seems to have gradually melted into its surroundings to the point where they have become one. This is an enchanting place- close to the pleasures of London and yet far from its bustle. The great Irish horticulturist William Robinson created the gardens. It was he who invented the notion of the wild garden at the beginning of the 20th century. This romantic gardening philosophy gives wild flowers their place in a garden and lets them grow naturally rather than strictly controlling them. There are three famous English stately homes to visit in the area- those of King George VI- Sir Winston Churchill and Rudyard Kipling. The restaurant is closed to non residents for dinner on Christmas Day every year. CLUB 5C- Hotel welcomes Relais and Chateaux Club 5C members with a VIP Welcome and a Discovery Privilege. Pros: Delightful Victorian home with wonderful host. We just had the continental breakfast and I must say it was the best continental I have ever had. Lovely village to walk around and quite a few stores to browse through.
A great choice for a stay in Horley, Southbourne Guest House is just 3.3 mi (5.4 km) from the airport. Free perks include continental breakfast daily and WiFi.
Pros: Truly one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The staff is extremely kind and professional, and my room was magniificently decorated. The bathtub was even big enough for me, and at 6'3 that's rare to find.
The surrounding neighborhood is quiet, and the hotel grounds are gorgeous and well kept.
I hope to have a chance to stay again someday for more than a one night visit.

Pros: Convenient to Terminal , very quiet room with excellent facilities.
Pros: Great location for an overnight connection. Clean, comfortable rooms, good breakfast
Cons: I booked for 2 nights, flight problems lead to me missing my first night and arriving very late the next. On arrival I was lead to believe my booking had been canceled and the hotel was full After 2 hours I was given a room and my booking re-instated. Why was this necessary, I had a booking, I arrived, to wait until 3:30am to be given my room was almost unbelievable.
Pros: Check-in was quick and easy, room was very clean and new, despite being attached to the airport it was extremely quiet, and the wifi was excellent. The included breakfast was fantastic - huge and varied - much appreciated before an early morning flight. Also had dinner in the same lounge area the night before and all of the staff who served us were lovely. Highly recommend this hotel and will stay again.
Cons: The only negative I can come up with is that it is in the north terminal and I was flying out of the south, but that's hardly much of an issue because the tram between the two is all of a 3 minute walk from the hotel door.

Pros: Great view of golf course and paddock. Quality room and food.
Cons: Dining room service is slow at dinner time.
Like the hotel very chic.
Pros: Cleanliness however the showers in the room could do with updating.
Cons: Menu, I was told to get restaurant menu from the bar and food was different to what was been served.

Pros: Just as advertised, comfortable and functional room at an affordable price, just a couple of minutes away from airport security as well as train station. The space available is quite tight, so don't expect to 'enjoy' it much (even though bed is very comfortable and shower is very nice), this is no leisure hotel, but rather 'get it done' style accommodation.
Cons: After using the shower, the floor is wet so if you need to use the toilet after you'll be stepping on water and then out again onto the carpet. Again, functional but less than ideal. Maybe the floor should be slightly tilted in the shower so it drains/dries quicker.
Pros: So convient in the south terminal at gatwick. Clean and everything you need for one night. Didn't hear any planes, which I was worried about.
Pros: it was IN the airport terminal
Cons: The terminal is DEPRESSING.
No WINDOWS! It’s like a little luxury prison cell. There was no private area in the hotel to do online work, went to one of the more human feeling pub-like restaurants.
Pros: Very comfy bed and very friendly staff!
Cons: Shower wasn't separated from the rest of the bathroom, so the entire bathroom floor was soaked.
Our rooms are efficient, sleek and beautifully designed, every small detail matters. From our sophisticated climate control system (we worked with a Scandinavian Sleep Institute to ensure your room is at the optimum temperature and humidity for a peaceful night) to our Italian-tiled wet rooms with their powerful drench showers, super-fast Wi-Fi, HD LED TVs and Artemide ambient lighting. Our king-sized beds are becoming legends because they're decadently comfortable with pocket-sprung mattresses and luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets. This all adds up to something never experienced before at this price in the UK.
Pros: Staff were friendly. Room very clean. Beds comfortable, not sagging in my middle as some are. Excellent location for Gatwick airport travellers. Good restaurants. Priced reasonably.
Cons: They view! But cannot help that. But the large windows were nice.

Pros: Easy to access train from hotel, airport and city of London. Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy walking distance to a local mall.
Pros: The staff is very friendly and hard working
Cons: The trains are very loud
Pros: Generally good, but WiFi sign in system a hassle and card swipe door keys real pain rarely if ever worked first time and usually took 3-4 tries at least.
Situated near the airport, this hotel is within a 10-minute walk of County Mall Shopping Centre, Crawley Town Hall, and St. John the Baptist Church. Hawth Theatre and Broadfield Stadium are also within 1 mi (2 km).
Needed to walk after being cramped on flight - strolled into town center of Horley and found everything I had forgotten to pack.
Pros: Staff pick up at LGW was prompt and friendly. She also, helped with bigger which was much appreciated after overnight flight with long connection wait.
Cons: Shower did not drain and had to be fixed which was done promptly after reporting.
Pros: The bed was amazing, and the shower was fab.
Cons: I wouldn't say this was a 4 star hotel, but it was nice. Also they charge for parking and I'm not sure if we were notified before arriving.
Do not recommend
Pros: Location close to LGW
Cons: Noisy, small room. Bathroom tiny. No shampoo or bars of soap. Thin small towels. Not a 4 star facility

Pros: they kindly allowed me to store my bags between check-out and my late afternoon flight.
the bathroom was very clean.
Cons: •WIFI: the wifi internet was super slow, and then shut down entirely. unacceptable in a developed country.
•DIRTY: there was a old fan in the room that turned on, but didn't blow any air. the wiring around the fan was entirely coated in dust. disgusting. it clearly had not been cleaned in months, which shows a lack of attention to detail.
•CHECKOUT: checkout is at 10am. considering people have afternoon flights, would it really kill them to allow guest to checkout at 11am or noon? i never heard of a 10am checkout at such a small guest house.
•ODD: the owner quoted a 7 pound taxi to the airport but it was 8. i don't care about the money, but this again shows a lack of attention to detail considering they must send several people to the airport daily. not knowing the price of such a core part of the stay seems strange.
Pros: My daughter and I stayed. Lovely place!
The Lawn Guest House is a 4 star guest house near Gatwick airport, UK. This charming non-smoking accommodation is conveniently located near Horley train station, just 5 minutes from Gatwick airport. Guests will enjoy a lovely garden, as well as a wireless Internet access point. The courteous staff may arrange your airport transfer; long term parking is also possible, upon request.
Cons: When you first pull in there are cars everywhere. They are parked on the double yellow and the grass so it looks like it's going to be difficult to park. Then you pull around back and there is a HUGE, almost empty car park. I guess people are just too lazy to see that there is also an entrance to the hotel at the back.
Pros: As expected for a Holiday Inn, staff was fantastic, great location if you want a quick overnight hotel for an early morning flight. The GBP3 shuttle bus only takes about 15 mins from Gatwick South and only 5-10 from the hotel to Gatwick South. All in all, a great bargain for only GBP49.
Cons: The room did not have a minibar/minifridge, which was a pain because I had some things I wanted to keep fresh for the next day flight. Also, very little free tv channels compared to their "100+ channels" advertising. The mattress wasn't what you would get at a 5 star (obviously), but definitely better than your average budget hotel.

Pros: Bunnies hopping around in the courtyard!
Staff were friendly and professional.
Wide variety of foods available in Continental breakfast (you pay extra for the full English breakfast).
It's a safe, relatively inexpensive, overnight stay for someone catching a plane the next morning.
Cons: There was a "poopy" odor emanating from the bathroom. It did not subside during our stay.
The television remote did not work.
"Operator Error" on my part, but I thought I was booking the Premier Inn that's right next to the airport; it turns out "S. Gatwick" refers to location, not adjacency to South Terminal. Not a big deal, but there is a Premier Inn closer to the airport if that's what you're looking for. It was a 13 pound taxi ride to the airport (the hotel also offers shuttle service).
