Nice room with all the basics in. They called to let us know that check out was at 11 but my booking was showing 12! Parking was free but the entrance had a sign posting 10$, it would not give you ticket... It was free but confusing.
I loved everything about my stay with my boyfriend that night! The king size bed was awesome. The bathroom was decent. The tv played amazing shows. We even had dinner downstairs. The bar was amazing. Got to watch an awesome basketball game on Saturday night. The steak was a little dry. We ordered medium rare but it wasn't as moist like it was supposed to be. The shrimp scampi was a little salty. But either way, it was still good. Wish there was room service though. And more towels.
That the app switched me from one hotel to another and I couldn't see this had happened until too late.
Nothing They have a lot of fees on there amenities
Rooms were sold out even after I booked ahead of time. Rooms were sold out even after I booked ahead of time.
The hotel was clean. Dining room staff where friendly and very helpful. Parking was free. Room was comfortable. Location is on a very busy interchange and was hard to enter the hotel. Front desk was in consistent in answering your questions. Food was pricey but good. Hotel treated you different depending on how you booked the hotel.
The beds were a little too firm, like the mattress needed to be changed.
The staff was friendly, the location is nice. The rooms were horrible, the locks in the restroom does not work, the windows don't open the are missing the locks. The room smelled very bad like ciggrate smoke, my mom has Astama so this was not a good experience l.
Location, options in the breakfast, shuttle service to nyc, in room facilities One of the staff member was not professional at all on reception. Others were very gud
Michelle was very helpful by giving us lots of information about NYC, while she was checking us in. She even made us a reservation for a taxi for the next morning. The rooms were very clean, the beds comfortable and we loved the deep bath tub. Also, we ate dinner in the 12th floor restaurant. The food was amazing and our waitress was very nice. Definitely would stay there again.
The hotel was very close to nyc and they had great accommodation for transport. It was only 12$ round to the city. Our door to the room would not shut quietly it slammed behind you very hard and loud. I thought that was a big safety hazard.
It's just outside the Lincoln Tunnel. It's clean, and the breakfast cafe was actually great. It's an older hotel. I suspect it was grand, actually, in the 60's. It's clean and no frills. I was pleasantly surprised by the value. The parking lot felt sketchy, but mostly because there weren't many other cars.
it was very quit and not far from nyc
its confusion to categorise the hotel as being in New york city. its situated outside new york staff werent too helpful
Location close to nyc No gym parking lot out of maintenance
The customer service No complaints
service for New York tour no breakfast, the pressure of toilet flush not good, far from bus station and takes 40 minutes walk to train station
Once you get inside, the hotel is nice looking. They have a shuttle to take you to the city for a small fee which was nice and convenient. The shower leaked and there was no one at the front desk when we arrived.
I booked a room with two beds, and got a room with one! Manager told me she would drastically reduce my room rate for the inconvenience, was busy at the moment and promised to contact me by cell phone as soon as she could that evening. Manager never called, and never answered multiple voice mails I left her. poor customer service!!!! As if the above was not bad enough, our room was directly behind the elevators on the 14th floor, and the loud, constant, noise made it impossible to sleep. Asked for any other room, and was told they were sold out. The hotel should never book room 1411, the noise from the elevators is unacceptable.
The shuttle was very good. The rooms also. I didn't liked the restaurant in the main entrance. It is not good to put it there. The design of the restaurant i also didnt liked. The lady she was the chief of the restaurant was not very kindly.
Staff No water pressure. Toilets questionable. Shower weak. Needs some engineering. Do a little food on Bruce Springsteen nite. The shows always last late. Great staff
Staff in general very nice! Attitude with the guest attendant at the Restaurant, Rooms are not clean enough to be a Marriott, disappointed!!
ITs proximity to the Meadowlands - liked how they embraced the Springsteen show, and pumped his music through the lobby and outdoors while we were all arriving. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Check in was quite long because of the sheer number of people arriving at the same time, but they made it fun with the music and an "impromptu" pre-show party in the lobby.
I made one phone call and u charge me $33.00 for one & $7 for the next one.
Staff was friendly Nothing.
We stayed here for our first NFL game, giants vs Jaguars. There was a shuttle to the game that was significantly cheaper than paying for parking and we didn't have to deal with the traffic. To our surprise, many of the giants were staying in the hotel as well. We meet quite a few of the team and even shared an elevator with one of them. We upgraded to the city view for $10 and it was well worth it. We will definitely be back. While the room was gorgeous and comfortable, it was odd there was no mini fridge, and no where to get drinks. The gift shop was closed when we got back from the game and the vending machines didn't work. We were so thirsty!
We booked one "king standard room" and we received a double instead, the room was cold and humid and not too clean.
The hotel staff had difficulities to confirm my reservation due to last minutes booking. However the Director of Guest Relaltion very helpfull and support during my stay
Nothing No water in pool Gym terrible Had no room key for us upon arrival and for a few hours until my buddy got loud with someone about it and that majestically we got a card Rooms were dirty Desk chair was all messed up They provided corona with no limes put in a ice bucket upside down not even with the body submerged in ice Straight up terrible
I stayed with a girlfriend for her 40th and the staff were very hospitable, going over and beyond what what necessary to help us enjoy our stay. They gave us great help with knowing where to go and find things and even stayed after their shift to make sure we were ok! The French Toast for breakfast one day tasted like cardboard! Breakfast did leave a lot to be desired with the "hot" options maybe luke warm and a slim selection of breads etc.
Clean hotel. Wonderful view of Manhattan. Excellent bus service to NY across the road.
Price, accommodation and general comfort were above expectations. Bus connection to central Manhattan was good. Continental breakfast was crowded on weekends and generally poor quality.
Nothing was done when I complained about smell of marijuana. No respect for a family environment. Least I expected was a comp for horrible experience, but nothing was said besides I will look into it by the manager. Shuttle service to MetLife stadium is one way no pickup after 5 pm. If your looking for a place to do drugs this is the place to go!!
Good location for city trip, just 20-25 min by bus. Very comfortable beds. Too slow staff, too small room for breakfast.
Very easy to go to nyc, only 20-30 min by bus! Close to shopping malls Room cleanliness was not the best I've seen...
Location - so easy and fast to get to Manhattan. Better than staying in NYC. Staff very helpful. Free shuttle to local outlets/shops. Tax free shopping on clothes in NJ. Shower drain didn't work, breakfast was awful, hotel quite worn and shabby. WIFI did not work at all.
It was very well located and safe. The staff made mistakes and the house cleaning forgot to clean our room one day.
ease of traveling to the city no blankets for pull-out couch even though requested (not sheets)
Transport from Air port, if possible
Absolutely nothing! We were the last guests to check in for the evening. They gave us room 207 and it was filthy. There were huge sticky stains on the carpet and on the furniture. There were chunks of things stuck on the carpet. And the air was stunk of stale smoke. I asked for a different room but they were full. We left and went to a residence inn. I had purchased through Kayak/Priceline and priceline refunded my money. It was the nastiest room I have ever seen. Our friends were also I the hotel in the 9th floor and they said their room was fine. The hotel staff didn't seem to care one bit about the state of room 207. The only thing they offered was to have housekeeping come and spray something so it smelled better.
This is the first La Quinta that had HOT food for breakfast and it was welcome since they were NOT anywhere near a location to eat away from the venue - the food was well prepared and the staff was very friendly and cordial THis venue does not have any places within a close walking distance where guests can get breakfast or snacks or even a fast food something. I highly recommend that somewhere on the hotel info on your site that the 2 places that ARE near are listed and that it be recommened that they get a rental car.
Plenty of parking, clean room
Clean, roomy, acomodating and helpful staff hideaway bed was unuseable due to hard ridges and bumps as well as troughs, had to share king with two daughters like sardines in a can. Air conditioning complicated and hard to use. Slow internet, plus it timed out after 24 hours (despite our having a 2 day stay).
Nice rooms and great location for bus into city No coffee in lobby after 9 am , breakfast buffet seemed hurried and not enough to feed guests
Great staff Great Clean 24/7 galley Easy TV hook up Consider we only stayed in the cheaper room it felt very luxurious. Would definitely use this chain again and reccomend. Breakfast was disappointed (not the cooks) the quality of the hot food was airline coach. Only compliant.
Friendly teen trying to do the best to satisfying us. Clean and excellent Non
Excellent Service with professional staff
For the amount of money to say here you'd think the tv would have worked. We chose this hotel because we wanted a luxurious stay in a plush setting. It wasn't any better than a Best Western. Breakfast was served till 10 am but we had to wait in line for 47 minutes to eat. No bagels or bread left when we finally got our eggs because it was almost 10:30! Really disappointed and wish we had looked for a Best Western.
People were friendly/front desk/ very clean Cold water was not flowing in sink.
Ease of commute to NYC and convenience of NJ shopping and Newark airport
Staff was great. Had to switch rooms because of ac problem and they were all over it AC wasn't working because coils were dirty. Maybe better preventative maintenance
Pool The bathrooms were dirty The entertainment the TV channels were limited The entertainment the TV channels were limited I know a whole whole no my girlfriend
Right off the highway - but far enough away from traffic/noise. Close to convenience stores, NYC, shopping, busses. only sheers/not curtains on 4th floor - so sun is GLARING in morning.
The hotel was nicely located, as far as proximity to NY.It was also a very good alternative to paying the big city prices.
Went to Monster Truck Show at MetLife stadium and didn't want to travel the distance home after night show. The hotel was close by and easy to find. One of reasons choose this hotel was for the view of the NYC skyline . The hotel was not nearly close to capaticty and was giving room with view of parking garage!!!!
The convenience to the Giant stadium is what liked best. The room was clean and smelled fresh.
the bus stop is near, very convenient,15 mins to Port Authority terminal 42nd st.(walk 10 mins to Times Square), walk underground 10 mins to subway station.Ask front desk for bus schedule(sat & sunday time different) Hotel breakfast was good. The room was clean. Not much resturant around the area unless drive to main road. The housekeeper dont speak English.I stayed at 3rd floor, but quite noisy. The hotel should include continental breakfast. The front desk staff dont know much about New York City.
Easy to find, easy access on and off Rt 3, parking right next to the hotel. Room was clean and modern looking. AC worked well. Nice pool. My room was relatively sound-proof, there was a large group at the hotel and I heard very little noise. . All members of the staff were efficient and polite. Long wait at the restaurant Saturday morning.
It's clean and mostly modern looking Wasn't making much noise, but got a noise complaint. Walls are way too thin to accommodate those who spend all that money just to sleep vs. those who wish to already have a conversation.
The bar, breakfast buffet, convenience to bus The food served at the bar
Location. Easy on and off rt3 Was a non smoking room I thought, smelled of smoke Black mold on sink rim and shower head.
The cleanliness Staff attitude and people skills sucked
Chromecast, staff. Breakfast, location. Pool was over crowded. No towels at pool to dry off. Had to air dry and drip the whole way back to the room. Oops. Also hot tub was very dirty and almost green. When sitting in it I couldn't even see my waist the water was so unclear., Also check out time was different depending what you read or who told you. We checked out at noon because that's what it said on the back of the door m.
Room comfortable, staff courteous and helpful, location great Only one elevator working, room a little noisy (room heater and pool mechanicals I think), teenagers running in the hallway, talking loudly and slamming doors, housekeeping staff threw away my bed socks that I left in the bed.
The room was recently refurbished and mostly nice Bathroom door was damaged, whole room smelled of paint, the whole building was under construction which was loud. The workers smoked in the hallway. I caught the receptionist asleep twice. Once when I was trying to check out around 6AM. She actually had headphones in so I had to scream to wake her up so that I could check out. The pool was not accessible due to the construction. The breakfast was waffles, bagels, and yogurt. I was just really not pleased with this stay.
We had issues with our room and the daytime staff was very helpful. They moved us to a new room, which had an issue too, but Elly did everything she could to make it right. Overnight staff was rude.
Otherwise we had a pleasant stay. Liked having Red Robin connection. Would go back. People were too loud in the hallway. Children running in the hallway. Our toilet had a seat that kept slipping when sat on. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay. Liked having Red Robin connection. Would go back.
Location is good. Bus stop is near hotel and Manhattan too (15 minutes). Children not pay for bus on weekend. Breakfast: egg is like artificial.
One of the more affordable in comparison to the others nearby. Overall, a good option. bathrooms were a bit outdated.
The staff was awesome. Very friendly and very helpful, even when they were super busy! We had to lock something up behind the desk, had to ask for directions, etc, during our 5-night stay, and they were always very friendly. Really like the location across the street from the bus stop into Times Square, and the hot breakfast! More biscuits and gravy for breakfast, please!
i liked the fact that they had the extra outlets by the bed that definitely helped i didnt like the water pressure ofcthe shower or the fact that they had no microwaves
The updates to the rooms were very nice. Everything was clean and comfortable. Looks like they are trying to clean up their appearance. There were cops patrolling like it was a murder scene. Made me uncomfortable. A cab driver told me that they're trying to cut down on the heavy prostitution that went on before.
Front desk staff (Diamond) was very professional. She got us checked in, bus schedules, and local area information. VERY NICE. Room interiors we very well maintained and kept clean. Thanks to the housekeeping staff. Great job. Good location. Exterior maintenance wasn't too good. Walkways were a little dirty, signs falling off walls, looked like it could have used a little TLC. Price was a little high for a budget hotel but the location made up for it.
The staff in the front was nice and helpful. I liked the remodel and upgrades. My favorite thing was the complimentary travel issues. Sounds funny but I did. I think it needs a plug station in the desk. And the plugs that the guy talks about on the TV about the hotel isn't what he says it is. They didn't have enough plugs and they had one if the plugs. Being used by the light above the heAd board
No I don't like
Convenient location to NY. Friendly staff at desk... Shower worked without much pressure on third floor. Maid took my towels but did not give me more for the next day so I had to go ask at the desk at night.
Bed was very comfy. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly. Conveniently located across from liquor store and places to eat. Great for the price. Would deff book again!
The staff was very knowledgeable of the area and helped us to reach different areas we were traveling too
Location was Great!!! Walking distance to NYC bus. Great river view! Excellent Staff!!! Can't wait to return!
Ms monica at the front desk made our stay twice as good , i would say she was the first friend we made ,and being next to the water is a plus we booked the room with a view Weekends you have to walk about three blocks to catch the bus
Had a nice view of the water The shower didn't work right. No water pressure on warm and the warmer you tried to get it, it would almost shut the water off. Had no wash clothes in the room ether.
The staff was amazing, especially Yun. They were incredibly friendly and helpful.
From the moment we arrived until we left, the front staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Felix especially was very knowledgeable with bus schedules and Metros/trains leaving the area to go downtown NYC. Overall great time at this hotel. We forgot to bring bathing suits, don't forget that if you come!!
I liked everything about it I felt at home. Nothing
Quiet Pillows too soft
Everything was just perfect....
I was visiting New York amd should have stayed in New York
everything else Slow Wifi..
The staff are nice, too. Too bad the highway noise is the most annoying, but other than that, everything is goood. April
Overall just a average hotel Staff limited English skills. Elevator smelled of vomit. Rate didn't match for condition, should be cheaper.
Everything from the location to the meals include with the service.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable stay. The pool and hot tub closes early.
Location in to new york was fantastic, as we had a bus every 10 minutes. We stayed there for 12 days, after a week had to request bed sheets to be changed. Towels were at times stained with dirt marks.
Frequent buses to Manhattan just in front of the hotel, hotel equipement (iron, Wifi), price. The breakfast could be better. No buses from nyc to hotel after 12:40 am (even earlier on Sundays).
Very good location. Breakfast.
Really appreciated that Kayak lets you pay in advance for the room. I was buying it for my son. Good value, decent cont. breakfast, friendly staff, close to shopping & public transportation.
The reason we booked our stay at this location was its proximity to NYC as we traveled to visit all the tourist-y locations. It was right off the Lincoln Tunnel and the area didn't seem too sketchy... We had arrived the day of the big Nor'Easter on March 14th I believe, and one half of their parking lot was closed (which had already been cleared of snow) and the half they didn't close was sloped downward toward the building and not cleared of snow. Had I not been experienced in driving in snow, the parking stalls would have been very difficult to back out of. Poor planning really. We were also given an out-of-service room. The mini fridge was not working, and we luckily were able to resort to putting the food out in our car in the cold winter weather. The person at the desk that I talked to that evening said that they couldn't do anything about it until the next day... This hotel is listed as having a shuttle service. It does not. The said shuttle service entailed flagging down a public transportation bus and paying $3 per seat, then getting dropped off 2 blocks away on the return trip...This was an expense that we hadn't really planned for, but really it was just annoying to learn that there was no hotel shuttle service.
It's close proximity to New York by public transport breakfast
Location was great, right off the expressway with a lot of close stores. Asked for a roll away bed, which I was told they offered for $15/ night when I booked. Was given a mattress to lay on the floor, at the full $15/ night. Housekeeping was poor, found quite a few items around the bed on the floor that were not ours.
Complimentary breakfast No airport shuttle
It was a good location. And shuttle arriver every 10-15 min to NYC. Breakfast wasn't any good. Motel's room had a clogged sink.
How close we were to NYC, the shuttle van. Value for the money. Bed sheets were dirty.
The shuttle service into NYC was easy to use and we enjoyed our trip. Difficult to drive in and out the shuttle didn't drop I you in front where it picked us up but still not far
very hard to find,it is right of the FreeWay,very noisy, bus service going to NY is poor, got to walk.Read the review for this Hotel, it was over rated
it's consistent - we've stayed there before and it's well managed, clean and convenient We had asked on the booking form for a quiet room, specifically not near the elevator. The room we were assigned was right across from the elevator
staff is always friendly andf helpful
Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. The cook to order part of breakfast was fantastic, both cooks giving personal treatment to guests. Room was spacious with provision of fridge and microwave (which I did not expect). In all, I'm very happy with my stay in this hotel and will stay there again. Lack of free WiFi in the hotel and what is disappointing is if you request WiFi, you have to pay for whole 24 hours. This is the 21st century, not good enough.
The location made access to Manhattan and the sites easy , in general 20 minutes to Times Square, room size was excellent staff very helpful Nothing
I was very impressed with the setup of the hotel lobby and the room. Having an area to relax in at the room was pleasurable. The best part was the great breakfast that was included in our stay! Quite a savings! The pool was a bit small.
The Hotel was quiet, clean. Good access to Manhatan via the bus 320 in front of the hotel. Staff helpful. Menu at the restaurant quite a short choice.
Good location - public transport available to New York Have to pay for wireless internet - not industru standard for this class of hotels - should be free. Had to wait for ages to get to the internet.
Great ceilings! Breakfast is a bit bland.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We did not have any problems with our room, and found it extremely clean. The hotel is steps away from a bus stop that takes you right to the Port Authority terminal in NYC, which we found very convenient (return buses drop you off across the street from hotel- not a far walk). The hotel staff were very courteous and provided very good information and tips regarding NYC. The only problem we had was that we had to wait in line to check in (given it was a Friday around 3:30pm) as there was only one desk clerk on duty at that time.
We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Sept. 29 - Oct 2. 2010, while waiting to go on a cruise out of New York City. Since this was our first trip to the NYC area we were concerned about where to stay, park etc. This Hotel was perfect. The bus will pick you up directly in front of the Hotel, and take you into the City, to the Port Authority, cost, $*. Then you can catch the bus back, and get off about one block from the Hotel. We checked in early, no problem, and went directly to our room, which was clean, large, and frunished nicely. During check- in, the clerk ask if we were going to the City, and gave us maps, directions, and all the info we would need. Very very helpful. We would stay here again and hope you do too. Another plus, free covered parking, even while we were on the week cruise!!!!!!!!!
From the momenty I walked into the lobby of the hotel. I felt very welcome. The hotel was extremely clean and inviting. The room was perfect size for a couple and was in perfect location to Hoboken, NJ and New York City.
Hotel was very nice. Rooms were very spacious. The staff was very friendly and spoke English. The bus picked us up right out side our hotel to go right into NYC. You can buy a round trip ticket for a few bucks. Couldn't of asked for a better place to stay. Great resturants right across the street. Easy to find. Kid friendly. I just can't say enough. Was just a great place to stay and was so easy to get the bus back to the hotel. Recommend highly for those people who don't want to drive into NYC or stay in the over priced hotels downtown. It has a great secured parking garage. Never had to move my car all weekend. I will stay again!
Close to the city which was a main attraction so we could get in and out without much difficulty. We'd stay there again.
Also, it was a very quick trip to Manhattan from the nearby bus stop. I was lead to beieve that bus picked up at the hotel and dropped at the bus stop. We had to walk to the stop as well which we didn't really mind. We had to pay for breakfast but it was a good value as everything was available. The made to order eggs your way was very nice. There wasn't much to choose from for nearby restaurants. However, the shopping mall may have had some that we missed. Night traffic was noisy on our side of the building. I wore earplugs.
The bus to NYC stopped right in front of the hotel on the way in, on the way back you had to walk from the Home Depot but not a big problem. Hotel desk staff were excellent, very helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast was good if you prepared yourself, very slow if ordering. Room was very clean however comforter on bed had been washed so often (which is good) that fiber-filling was lumped at the bottom (which was bad). Public restrooms were very clean. Would definitely go back again.
We stayed in this hotel and used it as the base for our visiting New York City and surrounding areas. When we got there the pool was closed, a great dissapointment, but that only lasted one day. Once open, both the pool and hot tub were very nice. The fitness center is nothing special, but is adequate. We did not eat there as the prices seemed very high. The bus to go to Times Square was very close to the hotel and the drop off point coming back was about 3 blocks away. If there is an elderly person involved, that would be very tough to navigate, but everyone in my group was able to walk okay. Unfortunately, there is only one restaurant close to the hotel and for anything beyond that, we had to walk about 3 blocks, including crossing a busy road. The rooms were adequate. We were given a non smoking room, but it was obvious the last people smoked and the staff did not clean it. They did not have available rooms, so they did a deeper clean to it while we went to dinner. The room was okay from there, but the hallway smelled like smoke the whole time. Most of the staff was very friendly and the boys loved the warm cookies around dinner time! Overall I was happy with the experience and would stay there again.
Only stayed one night each time but consistency counts for a lot these days. Very friendly at the front desk. Room, bed, and bathroom very clean. Wait staff at breakfast friendly and helpful. A little high priced but all hotels in the area are. Location is inflexible but worth going a little out of the way for. Could be quieter but not that bad given the surrounding highways.
Rates were reasonable and conveniently located near NYC. Staff was pleasant and helpful. The only concern was the walk from where the bus lets you off to the hotel...it was a bit spooky at night. Wish there was a safer means to return to the hotel via bus.
I messaged ahead of time for some extra towels and i did receive some extra towels before i even made it to the room. that was a plus. Over all a quite stay peaceful stay, some kids were running around outside but that's what kids do(it gave the place a family vibe). Made a call to get the tv fixed since it wasn't working when we got there. I was notified to wait 20 mins for some one to come fix it. Left the room for lunch and 2 hours later, the tv was still the same. (phone desk person knew exactly was i was talking about, since he was fast to offer a solution and need no explanation or details)
THE HOTEL IS NEW...SO THERE SHOULD BE NOTHING WRONG....IT IS CLEAN...I DID NOT GET MY ROOM CHOICE EVEN THOUGH I CHECKED IN AFTER 3 PM.... TV IS TERRIBLE....ALMOST ALL THE CHANNELS SAY ' SEARCHING FOR SIGNAL'....THIS WAS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT...EACH AND EVERY TIME I STAY AT THIS HOTEL IT IS THE SAME THING....THE FRONT DESK STAFF ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THERE IS AND THERE HAS BEEN A PROBLEM !!!
Clean room Shower head was falling off
Front desk personel are great.....hotel is reasonably new..... Hotel is very quiet.... I coujldn't figure out how to use the TV. No directions... I wanted to order a movie...but couldn't.... Very very strange....
Nice design of lobby and rooms, comfortable beds, dual showerheads. No complaints.

Quick check in nice room Highway noise woke me up throughtout the nighht, no shelves in shower for shampoo, products

Location At check in, desk clerk gave me a late checkout. At noon, different desk clerk called and rudely demanded I leave immediately or be charged for an extra day. The night clerk did not leave a note that she had given me a late checkout. Unacceptable.
Very modern looking and greatnlocation The Tv did not have all working channels
