With a stay at Duck Lodge B&B in Brighton, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of University of Sussex and Hove Museum and Art Gallery. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Comfy bed. Great breakfast and very reasonably priced drink in fridge.
Cons: Liked everything. Perfect!
Pros: Everything. Attention to detail was second to none. Great location and Keith the owner was superb!
Pros: We loved everything about our stay at Duck Lodge, from the initial welcome by the very friendly and helpful owner who made us at ease and welcome straight away. To the amazing hot tub. The lodge itself was very cute and cosy and exceptionally clean and well furnished, with small added extras, which made our stay very special
Pros: This place is unforgettable, we were walking the South Downs Way and the venue is located directly on the route! The hot tub was lush and huge and the lodge was immaculate with so much attention to detail. We absolutely loved the host and everything about it! We were sad to leave and even left late to start our walk as we didn't want to go! What a find!
Pros: Home made continental breakfast with fresh watermelon, fruit juices and coffee
Pros: Everything was perfect!
Pros: truly amazing place ! Keith the most fantastic host so peaceful & quiet, would highly recommend staying at duck lodge b&b to anyone
Pros: Nice breakfast. Friendly host. Fridge with cold drinks. Private accommodation in hosts garden with outside seating area.
Cons: We rather rushed our walk on South Downs way on the day we stayed, as Host said he had an appointment at 5.30, then didn’t go out until later! Some info prior to stay would be useful ie there is an M and S store at the local garage where you can buy food to cook ( microwave is available) rather than relying on pub.we didn’t use hot tub, as didn’t bring togs and none available to use. One of our pricier stays on SDW but overall, it was a bit different and very comfortable.
Pros: Loved everything about our stay. Keith is an amazing and extremely welcoming host. Idyllic location avoiding the hustle and bustle of Brighton. The lodge is extremely comfortable in every way. Hot tub was an added luxury, and provides a nice relaxing end to the day. The continental breakfast that was provided in the morning was amazing and set us up for the day. We went in summer, and Keith was on hand to provide us with a fan in order to make the lodge cooler. Will be recommending to family and friends, and we hope to be back soon ourselves.
Cons: Absolutely nothing - everything was above and beyond our expectations

With a stay at Field Cottage B&B in Haywards Heath, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Sheffield Park Garden and Ashdown Forest. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The owners were really lovely. Considerate and helpful. Lovely quiet location but very handy for what we were there for. Very comfy bed and the fact that the room is separate from the main house gives privacy to both the guests and the home owners.
Cons: Nothing - it suited us down to the ground. There was no phone signal, which might bother other people, but that suited us fine as we were there to switch off. Besides, the wi-fi connection was superb so it's not as if we couldn't pick up messages etc
Pros: For a family with a toddler who wakes early being able to help ourselves to breakfast in the flat, when we wanted, was ideal. Great shower and comfy beds.
Cons: Nothing, it was great!
Pros: Very clean..comfotable bed..quiet location..great bathroom..breakfast items left in a little basket and milk , orange juice etc left in fridge.
Cons: Sign to property could be more visible.
Pros: Emma was a lovely lady who made sure our stay was comfortable and was very willing to help make our stay pleasurable. The view from the windows is amazing, so peaceful and tranquil. It was heart warming to see the lambs skipping about.
Cons: There was nothing that i disliked.
Pros: The property was beautiful and well decorated.. Everything was great.. we were going to the Sheffield Park Railway on the Blue Bell Train for murder mystery night and the location was perfect for us..
Cons: The only thing that we both thought was the towels were crispy and some fabric softener in them would of made it totally perfect.. but to be fair it made no difference to our stay we loved it ..
Cons: Towels too rough
Pros: Very pleasant 1 night stay. Big room. A little bit on the expensive side. Lovely pub close by. Would definitely recommend it.
Pros: Nicely decorated and very clean. Located in beautiful sorroundings and very relaxing enviroment. The owners were very friendly and made sure everything was ok with our stay.
Cons: Could have been slightly cheaper.
Pros: Lovely quiet country location. Very tastefully furnished. Lovely people. Private as own separate entrance to the owners who live within the grounds. Very close to the local pub with lots of eating options and space outside, though no noise reached us from the pub. Fresh fruit and a fridge for milk etc, which was all provided in the options for breakfast (not cooked). There is a microwave, hairdryer, TV, DVD player. Shower room was lovely.
Cons: Not a thing really, so this will be really picky and not that important really. Wifi was a bit intermittent at times. Decaff coffee and tea would have been a nice option but no doubt would have been provided if we had asked, plenty of other options available for us to use.
Pros: This is a lovely clean and comfortable apartment in a lovely country location but close enough to the main town and local pub. The owners are so nice and friendly and would do anything to make your stay a pleasurable experience.
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like about this property.

Brighton & Hove is 17 km from the bed and breakfast, while Eastbourne is 49 km away. The nearest airport is London Gatwick Airport, 31 km from Clayton Wickham Farmhouse.
Pros: Franky speaking I booked it based on the reviews and it was exactly how it was defined. The place is just amazing. It's not just about the stay, everything about the place is worth a praise. The owner is a delightful person and when you get served a gorgeous and a 5 star worthy breakfast to begin your day with you know it was worth every penny. Brighton is just 15 minutes drive away but depending on traffic it can take up to 25 mins. I would absolutely love to visit the property again in future and totally recommend to anyone travelling to Brighton or want to take explore the Seven Sisters.
Cons: Nothing at all
Pros: Suzie & Mike are a lovely Friendly couple, very helpful and attentive, nothing is too much trouble, we called on route to say we’d be late arriving and theyjust said no problem, have a safe journey. They gave us great advice for a lovely evening out in Brighton and even booked us a Taxi. We stayed in the wonderful sunflower room, complete with tea & coffee making facilities, gowns and slippers, little essentials on the dresser in the hallway - shoe shine, toothbrushes etc, more Boutique than B&B :) Ground floor room so easy access and easy parking in the lovely gravel courtyard. Stunning conservatory for tea, coffee, cakes & biscuits which they encourage you to take out into the gardens to enjoy. The Gardens were picture postcard - as was the House and barn. It’s the Perfect place for a romantic weekend away, and we’re sure that Suzie & Mike would make sure it was perfect. Breakfast was sublime - cooked to perfection, presented professionally. On arrival Suzie asked exactly what we wanted for the next morning and at what time !! You don’t get that at the Chain Hotels. There is a healthy option if you’re so inclined.... but we recommend the English breakfast - or a combination of, because staying here is a real treat you owe it to yourself :) and Suzie cooks to perfection ! Beautiful surroundings, countryside walks and stunning views of the South Downs, unbelievable that the Farmhouse is only 12 mins from hustle and bustle of Brighton city centre. You can truly unwind and relax, so for us the perfect juxtaposition. Transport is good, a Railway station serving London & Brighton -5 min away, Brighton is 12 min away by car, then you have to find a Carpark- which are extortinate. Stress free option - Book a Local Taxi (£25) and get to where you want easily.(Taxis can use bus lanes ) ;D. *** DONT USE UBER - 2-3 times more expensive.***
Cons: We only stayed one night - I should have booked the entire weekend ! - DOH !!!
Pros: Everything was absolutely wonderful!! Mike & Suzy could not have been more welcoming and helpful!!
Pros: The location is full of character, our hosts were charming.
Cons: Bedroom had creaking floorboards, annoying but inevitable in an old property.
Pros: Amazing old farm house. Peaceful. Characterful.
Cons: Nothing to complain about. My stay was too short to enjoy my stay fully.
Pros: Charming place with lovely gardens and warm and welcoming hosts. Very comfortable here. Good base for exploring the attractions of west Sussex. Great full English breakfast with fresh orange juice, fruit and good coffee.
Pros: The property is totally unique. I decided to stay there because of the location . It’s surrounded by rolling fields & is in a stunning location . It’s character , beams and layout are all original. If you want a new property then you should look else where . However if you want to stay in a traditional English 17 th century building which is clean and has great food then I would happily recommend
Cons: It’s location is not precise on the sat nav however if you walk / drive be further down Belmont lane it’s clearly signposted
Pros: Very good selection for breakfast. Location was quiet and peaceful
Pros: Lovely hosts. Charming farmhouse with lovely views. Lots of chatacter
The Bull offers a pleasant stay in Ditchling for those traveling for business or leisure. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. There's never a dull moment at this hotel, our guests indicate that the facilities are excellent.
Pros: The style of the hotel was perfect, the food was excellent and the staff very friendly. Cookies in the room - wow!
Cons: Room was very noisy from the road and needs attention
Pros: Outside nice.
Cons: Broken toilet seat, shower temperature was too hot, cobwebs and dead bugs, breakfast was 1/2 hour late, no staff, the tablecloths still had food on them in the morning, no facility to get cold drinks as it was really hot. Whoever runs this place, shame on you!
Pros: Clean room
Cons: Over priced for a pub
Pros: Great selection of beers on site, tasty food and lovely garden out the back.
Cons: Nothing, everything was great.
Pros: Beautiful room. Love the radio touch. They thought of everything.
Pros: Really nice
Pros: Great pub in a beautiful little village. Friendly hosts and great local restaurant. Fresh clean rooms.
Cons: Rooms are a little pokey but that is to be expected in an old building.
Pros: The bed, bathroom and cleanliness. Nice food at the restaurant. Friendly staff.
Cons: Being roadside in room 3, the noise was unbearable as well as the hourly dongs from the nearby church. I did not sleep at all. The windows had to be kept open due to the heat, hence the unbearable noise from continuous traffic all through the night. No airconditioning, the heat was unbearable and found ourselves gasping for air and a breath. The establishment must have air con units installed in the rooms, or as an absolute minimum provide fans.
Pros: The general village location is great, set in wonderful Sussex Countryside. Food very good. Very good vegetable garden ( for garden lovers like us).
Cons: But the traffic is horrendous. The property sits at the crossroads and is therefore very noisy - impossible to sleep in our room at the front of the property. Some fixings in our bathroom didn't work. No cold water one morning in the shower. I had to switch a dispenser fitting over the sink to obtain any soap. We we aghast to hear on arrival that they provided in house NO ONE overnight (emergency???). We were made a fuss of first day, then just one of the crowd, mostly local people by the looks of it. We won't go again. Getting large suitcase up and down the very narrow, steep stairs was a challenge!!
Pros: The staff were amazing. I was going to arrive late due to traffic so kept in touch with them They were above and beyond what I would expect from a service point of view.

Pros: Friendly helpful staff Lovely garden Good food
Pros: The room was lovely, the staff very friendly. Spa had lovely views and good facilities. Food was excellent
Cons: The spa needs to decide whether it is a spa where you can come and relax and switch off, or a health club. Didn't appreciate paying the price we paid and having children turn up half way through to use the pool. It ruined the atmosphere and being able to relax.
Cons: Booked Garden Wing Superior Double on arrival We were Allocated 3rd floor Attic.. two steep Spiral staircases for access NO LIFTS No forward warning...we both have heart Conditions...... checked out after one night of four...... we were charged £ 389 for the one night bed and breakfast.....said to be the Saturday night rate... all most upsetting....
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful after we booked the hotel in an emergency following the cancellation of a Gatwick flight. Mazy at reception was particularly helpful in printing boarding passes etc for our new flights. The breakfast room had a lovely view out over the gardens and the waitress was very pleasant and attentive.
Cons: The hotel dates to Tudor times and, unfortunately, as a tall man the doorways are set very low thereby presenting a constant obstacle course! The breakfast ambiance was slightly disrupted by grass cutting taking place. It might have been better to wait until after breakfast when patrons have vacated the area.
Pros: Staff were v nice
Cons: Too dated and way to pricy for what it is
Pros: Spa and pool were very nice
Pros: Beautiful Manor House, well equipped and quiet rooms. Breakfast was excellent and staff very attentive. Bar/snug was lovely.
Cons: Only the shower - a mixer tap (albeit beautiful) which was either very hot or very cold.
Pros: Spa was fantastic, dinner and breakfast both fabulous.
Cons: The old Manor could do with a bit of an update but was still really nice.
Pros: Spa was excellent loved the half-board facilities and the cute rooms
Cons: Spa relaxation music would of been perfect
Pros: Excellent reception staff and room
Cons: Three out of four of us felt we were being slightly rushed she eating our evening meal in the restaurant

Pros: Rooms , staff , ambience , building , location , food etc was at its best
Cons: Everything was at it's best..keep the good work on thanks.
Pros: Welcoming reception, comfortable room, tea making facilities
Cons: Would have been good if breakfast could have been offered later than 10.00 a.m. as we’d had a late night before.
Pros: The Location was good, we had to leave before breakfast but the staff were helpful.
Cons: there was a wedding reception going on all evening so it was extremely noisy.
Pros: Not much!
Cons: Room was small and hot, shower was terrible and really small, and a fan was provided but it was so small it didn't chill the room as all. Breakfast was also very average.
Cons: Very small room with window onto the restaurant ie no outside view. Very noisy paper thin walls
Pros: friendly staff, very clean, good breakfast
Cons: second night they allowed dogs in near our room , love dogs not noisy ones while i am still asleep
Pros: Only a 10 min taxi ride from the Lindfield Golf Club.
Cons: Breakfast was a good election, not very hot though. Bed was too soft. Bathroom was bigger than the bedroom!!!!
Pros: Bed was comfy
Cons: Noise from disco. It would have been helpful to be told in advance that this would be on as it felt like the disco was in our room. No ironing board in room.
Pros: Excellent location and the bed was very comfortable.
Cons: The bedroom was very hot even with the fan working. The breakfast was no more than average.
Pros: Comfortable, cozy, fairly priced, tasty meal and nice a staff.
Located in Haywards Heath, Highley Manor is a 4-minute drive from Ardingly Reservoir and 5 minutes from Nymans. Featured amenities include luggage storage and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The staff were fantastic, couldn't do enough to help, although it was listed as having a restaurant, the only really did pizza's but they were very good, First impressions of front and lobby were very impresive
Cons: no restaurant
Pros: Breakfast was fine, but stayed 2 nights and both mornings waited 30 minutes for it to arrive, but all staff i dealt with were very nice though, they aren't the issue with this location... Unfortunately, Highley Manor is a bit like an old classic car that due to refurbishments desperately needed, only eludes to its former glory. The outside look very nice, but inside is showing much too many miles, from the carpets to the poor bathroom facilities in my room. No power in the shower, inadequate toilet seat and unclean under the toilet. It needs a great deal of new money (not maintenance money) spending on it or it will never regain any of its former glory... £62.50 per night including breakfast that I paid sounds reasonable as it is near the airport, but a Travellodge or Premier Inn would do the job...
Pros: Beautiful but tired
Cons: Needs TLC and a good clean
Pros: Helpful staff and a quiet location, convenient for what we wanted to do. Breakfast was fine.
Cons: It seemed a bit odd that a sizable hotel didn't do food in the evening.
Pros: Rural England
Cons: Would benefit from availability of Sandwiches and light Supper menu
Pros: The setting was lovely and the downstairs was elegant. The breakfast was hot and there was a good choice of additional food.
Cons: unfortunately the elegance was not repeated upstairs. I had booked a twin room which the hotel said was for 4 people. Initially the first room we were allocated had not been cleaned or changed( it was gone 6pm when we booked in), the beds looked as if someone had been lying on them and there were possessions in the room. In the second room there were 2 small double beds but the room was relatively narrow which meant that to move from one side to another only one person could move at a time, there was no room for a chair so sitting comfortably was impossible. The furniture In the room was very shabby and parts of the wardrobe and drawers were broken. The en-suite had a fire exit in one of the walls and the shower unit was quite small. I am only 5 foot and could not see into the bathroom mirror, my partner is 6’ 3 and he had to stoop to see whilst shaving. All in all this room was not at the standard that I expected for the price we paid.
Pros: Nice stay in a traditionell house. Very nice breakfast room, good breakfast and good service.
Pros: Clean and bright rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff
Cons: WiFi didn’t work in my bedroom (in the rafters). No teaspoons in room.
Pros: we had our wedding reception and honeymoon night at Highley Manor 22 years ago next month. Stayed for a reminiscent couple of days in a junior suite and wasn't disappointed. Staff were excellent and the hotel still retains the charm of an English Country Manor. Hotel needs some tlc but will always have fond memories for us. Would recommend a stay to anyone with some time to spend in the heart of the Sussex countryside. Beautiful location and gardens. Well done.
Pros: Room fine although very small bathroom. All clean and comfy bed.
Pros: the grounds around the hotel. Breakfast was satisfactory
Cons: When we arrived, we were advised that they did not have a room for 3 people which we booked. We were then given keys to a room that was occupied which was embarassing for both parties.
Located in Haywards Heath, Ardingly Inn is within a 15-minute drive of Sheffield Park Garden and Ashdown Forest. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Friendly helpful staff, dog-friendly, help yourself breakfast. Would like a retainer on the window as I was scared to open it in case the dog jumped out. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Could hear music until late, not sure where it was coming from appeared to be from above the room.
Pros: Handy to the function I was to attend. Room was well-equipped. Charming looking inn.
Cons: Staff were unable to be found in the morning. Dinner was a little inconvenient. The bedroom door lock couldn't be fully secured when in the room.
Pros: The variety of breakfast items available. The cooked items were freshly cooked
Cons: Should provide a menu for food available at other times
Pros: Location was great for our wedding at Horstead Keynes Station. The staff and owner were very accommodating with regards our booking and the extra bits we asked for. No problems with parking and considering the age of the property the accommodation was just what we would expect.
Pros: It was fourth or fifth time we’d been there, any more questions :-) Silvia and Bernd from Bavaria
Pros: Lovely pub down stairs. Very welcoming/friendly staff and locals.
Pros: The rooms had a nice, quirky personal feel. The staff and owners were amazingly hospitable and helpful, friendly and very charming. The bar was inviting with a good choice of drinks. The chef fired up the pizza oven specially for us and we had a great pizza for lunch - so good we had two more that evening.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
Pros: The staff were friendly and very accommodating. I appreciated the early check in when our flight from Canada got us there in the morning, and the when the owner insisted on giving me a lift into town to help me solve a banking issue. Very kind! I mostly liked the pub...there's a strong community vibe there with loyal regulars who drift in regularly like clockwork and like to talk about anything from beer to football to taxes. I was there a few days for the football trials at the college and tried about half the items on the menu and all of the beers. Never disappointed.
Cons: I liked the room provided in the front that was simple with a nice washroom, and thankfully a window that opened for fresh air, but the twin beds were enough to make you feel homesick after a few days. When they replace them with better ones with improved bedding I bet a guest will sleep more comfortably.
Pros: My favourite place to stay in the area, really friendly staff who make you feel welcome. Lovely room and comfy bed, had good night sleep and quiet. Lovely food in the pub downstairs, I can recommend the stone baked pizzas. We went early in the morning and they have everything available in the breakfast room. Lots of parking at the back of the property and they allowed our dogs to stay. I really enjoyed our trip and will be booking to stay again.

Featured amenities include express check-out, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Planning an event in Haywards Heath? This hotel has facilities measuring 700 square feet (65 square meters), including conference space. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: excellent parking and breakfast
Pros: Clean nice area
Cons: Very expensive for what you get
Pros: The staff was extremely friendly and the hospitality we enjoyed during our stay was outstanding. Food and beverages were tasty, and the surrounding countryside was beautiful.
Cons: The hotel rooms (at least the one we stayed in) have seen better days and could need a little refurbishment. Also, the walls and ceiling were quite thin and you could hear the other guests walking around in their rooms.
Pros: Good breakfast Quiet Easy parking Clean room Spacious room
Cons: No water in the room No air con - room hot No plug sockets by the bed to charge phones and use them No plus docket by bed to plug in fan ! Tv remote - needed a degree to use it ! Mattress needs replacing / could feel springs and too soft
Pros: The staff were all welcoming, helpful and attentive. All in all, exceptional customer service was provided and could not be faulted. Reception staff on both days were polite, cheerful and welcoming. Dinner was of good quality in the evening.Very well cooked steak, puddings excellent.Service was first class. Hotel had a pleasant feel, though a little tired. Car park provided plenty of spaces.
Cons: Bath/ shower had rust- not something I would expect.Mould on bathroom tiles.Bathroom did not smell particularly nice. Only one pillow per occupant provided. Rather sparing selection of coffee in room- one per occupant. Woken by car alarm - no responsibility of hotel and then early in morning by wedding guests leaving. Had to wait at least 20 mins before free space available in restaurant for breakfast due to wedding party. This could have been a problem as had a family engagement. When given a table, found the eggs/ bacon were unappetizing as had been in the warmer for some time.A guest at another table asked for freshly made fried and scrambled eggs which I didnt have the foresight to do.Choice of croissants/ fruit was minimal and had run out to a large degree.Coffee was unpleasant.
Pros: It’s proximity to Hickstead show
Cons: Breakfast started at 7 . There was an option for a cold continental breakfast from 6 same price as full breakfast. Better option to go to petrol filling station.
Pros: Ideal location for our trip to Hickstead allowing us a lay in and not having to get up to early. The staff couldn’t do enough to help and were always very pleasant and polite. Food was beautiful.
Pros: The breakfast menu was what I would expect from a hotel of this standard. However I wanted cereal to start with, but you did not offer full fat milk. I cannot stand the thin versions, so I had to go without. You offer options on everything else why not milk.
Cons: No just the milk
Pros: On arrival the reception was friendly, helpful and took care of all our requests.
With a stay at The George in Henfield, you'll be connected to a shopping center, within a 15-minute drive of Preston Park and River Arun. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Dinner. Staff were efficient and friendly. Good location with parking good bus service into Brighton on hottest day of summer hence no parking woes at the beach
Cons: We paid for a larger Tudor room with air conditioner but were downgraded to a small room in which the air conditioner worked. No one had bothered to check if aircon worked when room was serviced.
Cons: Very small
Pros: pretty original beams in the room. Reasonably comfortable bed. Lovely dining/pub downstairs. Lovely staff.
Cons: The room needed some deeper cleaning (cobwebs), but mostly things were just worn down and in need of repair, or replacement at a higher quality. Bad tile work in the bathroom, a dangerous step as you entered the room, not very nice coffee/tea setup, window that did not function properly.
Pros: Room comfortable with good bed. Good wi-fi. Bar area very pleasant, good draught beer. Breakfast was well-prepared, tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking fine.
Cons: Expected to have dinner there but thai menu that evening so went elsewhere. Other possibles within easy walk.
Pros: Adequate for one stop overnight.
Cons: Room temp was hot but then again a a boiling summer.
Pros: Comfy bed and pillows.
Cons: Toilet cistern constantly dripped. Rm 6
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, good beer/cider, tasty food with a good selection of wines.
Cons: The room was warm due to the weather and so we had to open the window to sleep but we were woken early by the traffic noise on the main road outside. There was an air conditioning unit but it did not seem to function.
Pros: Helpful people, comfortable bed, good sized room
Cons: One bar of soap for shower and sink, One chair.. room had 2 single beds
Pros: Location and friendly staff
Cons: Bathroom a little small. Shower cubicle would benefit from being updated
Pros: Great food, chatty barman more than happy to help and good shower
With a stay at Moaps Farm Bed and Breakfast in Haywards Heath, you'll be a 4-minute drive from Sheffield Park Garden and 9 minutes from Ashdown Forest. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Breakfast was sufficient and served by a very friendly hostess, the location was exceptional with wonderful views across Ashdown Forest towards Lewis. The accommodation consisted of a large sitting room with views, a very roomy bedroom containing the most comfortable super king bed we have ever had with an on-suite.
Pros: Both were wonderful
Cons: Can't think of anything that needed changing
Pros: The view
Pros: The views
Cons: Absolutely Nothing like described. Can’t call itself a b&b! No locks on doors, clutter in our small room. Very run down surroundings. Poor facilities. Breakfast was not good, no cereal options at all. Owner is friendly enough but has no idea how to run a business! We paid £100 to stay in a stable with a shower. The only good point was the amazing countryside. We were very disappointed with our stay here.
Pros: The breakfast was very good and you could book any time you liked .
Cons: The carpets were very untidy apart from that it was fine.
Pros: NOTHING - this place is a rip-off which Trading Standards Dept. should investigate for misrepresentation.
Cons: We booked Moaps Farm B&B at Danehill only because we were in a rush and despite the extortionate price. The misrepresentation on its website of the condition of the establishment, its lack of basic amenities (not even a TV or a key to lock the room, so if you are daft enough to stay there after reading this review then don't take any valuables!) has left us feeling as we would have, had we been the victim of a common thief, or a con artist. She may as well have stolen our credit cards, as there is no way would we have handed over money to stay there if we had seen the derelict, overgrown and neglected state of the premises, but we had paid in advance and would have felt robbed if we had only paid £20 per night, let alone the extortionate amount charged to stay in this shambollic tip. We were greeted by a yard with piles of junk and derelict garden furniture. Our 'room' was in a courtyard accessed by a five bar gate with barbed wire wrapped around the top. The courtyard itself was carpeted with nettles, thistles and slugs and had rubble, rotting wood and ashes with the remains of a burnt out brazier. The room was a converted stable, still attached to the rest of the stables that can best be described as derelict. The fixtures and fittings were mismatched and shabby, the carpet badly marked, scruffy and dirty. We couldn't even begin to guess why there was a piece of kitchen worktop propped against the wall next to the toilet, nor why there were some electrical sockets so high up the wall you would need to stand on the bed to reach them - just under the cobwebs. Whilst our visit was in October, it was quite mild but we wouldn't be surprised if the central heating didn't work, the radiator in the bathroom didn't look too healthy and there was no heating during our stay. Sleep was impossible because of the spotlight shining directly at the glass panel of the door through the flimsy curtain.
Cons: Room in an overgrown stable yard. Door not lockable.
Pros: Choice of breakfasts on offer - very nicely cooked. Hospitality of hostess was welcoming and couldn't do enough to ensure our comfort. Quality of mattresses on beds were excellent in both rooms and ensured a restful night's sleep. View for location was beautiful and tranquil.
Cons: We were happy with the booking.
Pros: The view The cat called puss
Cons: Could not lock door Water pressure poor couldn’t have a bath Did not feel safe
