Pros: Very nice bed and breakfast very close to the centre of Vichy. Comfortable beds and good wifi. Very safe off street parking. Breakfast was lovely with homemade Jams and compote. The hosts were very nice guys as were there 5 beautiful dogs
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: If you like charming houses, with nice interior decoration and creaking stairs, this is definitely the place to stay.
Cons: A bit far from highway, but on the other side there are no car noises outside. My navigation software didn't find the correct street at first, but friendly neighbors helped out to find the way to the hotel, so keep an eye on the road names. Hint for the hosts: The name and number of the hotel/ house should be better visible/ readable from far away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owners, helpful and dedicated to guests. Fantastic house.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Interesting and thoughtful barn conversion. Bedrooms particularly have been designed and equipped with guests in mind. Excellent and high quality breakfast.
Cons: Passing through our hosts’ working space every time we entered or left seemed a little strange though it wasn’t an actual problem as we were only there one night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely overnight stay. We felt welcomed and were amazed at the wonderful location and the attention to detail that had been put into making each room unique and comfortable. Breakfast was a range of French breads and home made jams, a choice of hot drinks and fresh orange juice, served outside on the shady deck.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous room, very clean, spacious and well decorated. The bathroom was enormous. Owners were very freindly and warm.
Cons: If you don't like dogs, these guys have 4 large dogs, three of which live in the house in the sitting room.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: good stay, friendly hosts, luxury room, twelve pretty 10 weeks old basset hound puppies were awesome!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A large comfortable house with lots of books. At the time the resident 'hushpuppy' had delivered 14 little ones so it was a very dog-friendly atmosphere. The owner recommended a local restaurant, which was 'interesting' in having virtually no choice on the menu. Good breakfast.
Cons: The house is a bit out of the way in the middle of a housing development, and not easily accessible to Vichy. You certainly need your satnav.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place to stay in a converted barn. Very tastefully decorated. Lovely hosts and the best breakfast we have had all holiday especially the apple tart!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, with tasteful and interesting decor and a delightful host. Although we had a car, we liked the fact we could walk into Vichy for dinner.

Pros: Amazing art deco house, full of period features and furniture, but also very comfortable. Swimming pool looked nice, but was sadly only there for a short stopover.
Cons: There is not much in the neighbourhood, nearest restaurants are in Vichy city centre.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about our stay was exceptional -- from Thierry and Karine's magnanimity and hospitality to the delicious and magnificent spread at breakfast to the painstaking detail made to preserve and persist the Art Deco style of the property to the collection of vintage cars on the property. While we were staying for a wedding hosted at Château de Maulmont, our stay at La Passagère set the stage for an overall wonderful experience. Thierry even shipped a suit jacket that I left behind back to the U.S. just in time for my own wedding! My wife and I are looking forward to our next trip and stay here!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely welcoming hosts Able to put our bikes in garage Great support on the Ironman weekend Good breakfast Comfy bed Nice bathroom Enjoyed the pool
Cons: Would have like a bedside lamp on both sides of bed-not a deal breaker though!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent reception on arrival, charming and interesting host who had spent a lot of time and effort to make his establishment a great place to stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was an amazing find. Conveniently located for the Vichy Ironman event we couldn’t have asked for more. We loved the Art Deco interior, the history of the building and the peacefulness of the location. Thierry, the owner, was a fantastic guy who made us feel most welcome in his beautiful home. He shared with us his classic car collection which was fascinating. Breakfast was a lovely experience with fresh croissants from the bakery and great coffee all served from original Art Deco crockery. It was nice to meet other guests from around the world and chat over breakfast. It was good to have Fargo, the dog around too as he made it feel just like being at home! The bedrooms were very clean and the beds comfortable. It was a bonus to have use of the shared kitchen with hob cooking/fridge facilities and a coffee machine. There are also plenty of nice restaurants a short drive away in Vichy. Thierry has done a fantastic job of sourcing original Art Deco furniture for the rooms. It felt like we’d been taken back in time! My husband made good use of the small pool in advance of his race. I’d hope to return to this delightful B&B if my husband enters the 70.3 Ironman in Vichy again. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Cons: There’s really nothing I’d have changed as we had such a fantastic three nights at La Passagere.
6.8 Good
Pros: The House is very beautiful 1930's Artdeco throughout. Bedroom was very nice with a spacious bathroom. The property was close to the place I was working so extremely convenient. Excellent WiFi.
Cons: There is no TV in the room which wasn’t such a bad thing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We slept well and enjoyed breakfast. The owner has collected a lot of the furniture from the period to give house the right atmosphere from the art deco era.
Cons: We enjoyed everything and the owner went out of his way to help us in a foreign country
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed, amazing shower, welcoming host, delicious breakfast, peaceful setting, immaculately decorated Art Deco property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeus & confortable place, Fantastic breakfast, Friendly & warm owners

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely big room which was spotlessly clean. Great city centre location. Beautiful breakfast room.

Pros: Large room with very comfortable bed and good bathroom with a great shower. The air conditioning was very welcome! The whole place is immaculate and the owners obviously take pride in their hotel. They are very helpful and friendly and serve a really good breakfast. There are many good restaurants within walking distance. We would heartily recommend and booked to stay again the following weekend
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Didier and his wife looked after us superbly and very efficiently. Email correspondence prior to our visit was prompt and helpful. The hotel is charming and maintained to a high standard, well situated too, close to the town centre (walking distance). Breakfast was of a high standard too.
Cons: Parking was a short walk away so we had to bring our vehicles back to the hotel to collect our luggage...but I wouldn't let that discourage a visit, it was easily manageable.
Villa Margotine - Bellerive-sur-Allier - Building
5
9.3 Excellent (70 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Bellerive-sur-Allier, Villa Margotine is within a 5-minute drive of Kennedy Park and Vichy Opera.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The landlady, the decor, the breakfast The level of care. Just about everything Martine is the most amazing hostess. Friendly, welcoming, full of info where to go, what to see. Breakfast was wonderful, served with smile when we wanted it. Nothing was too much trouble. Martine's English was a huge help for us as our French is practically non existent
Cons: We didn't want to leave
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location: walking distance to the center of Vichy (about 15 min). Quiet, safe place. The hostess live in the same house. Room: actually it is an apartment consisting of a large bedroom and a large bathroom joined by a small corridor. The apartment is separated from remaining part of the house by doors, so you have privacy. There are four electric sockets at the extension cable in the room, so there is no problem with charging everything. Bed: large and comfortable Bathroom: Large, with huge shower cabin with fancy shower. Plenty of space for toiletries. Breakfast: excellent. We had freshly boiled eggs, pancakes, fruits, fruit salad, yogurt, three different home made jams, croissants and tasty bread The hostess welcomed us with tea and coffee, she offered to cook dinner, but we were too tired. The hostess is warm and welcoming, we enjoyed a talk about Turner's colors on the sky and contemporary art. Parking on the street (free). Easy to find a parking place and the neighborhood is safe.

Maison Decoret - Vichy - Building

9.2 Excellent (95 reviews)
Overview Reviews

Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Planning an event in Vichy? This hotel has 753 square feet (70 square meters) of space consisting of conference space and a meeting room. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved it ALL!
Cons: The Volvic water! ( joking) we loved it!
7.0 Good
Pros: Location, la cuisine and especially the small cookies 'pate sablee'.
Cons: bed turned out to be 2 singles put together, not comfortable at all, I slept much better in other hotels. In the 'rose' room the Aircon units are right outside on the balcony and make a lot of noise/blow hot air. For a pricey hotel like the Decoret is not acceptable. During breakfast I had to ask 4 times for baguette, untoasted, and somehow I ended up with toasted bread... Room and wine was overpriced, breakfast is better in a small cafe.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff and food
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We were very happy with our room which was the Green room. It had a 6 ft bed, good AC, well designed bathroom with a separate wc. There didn't seem to be hotel parking, maybe I'm wrong, but we parked on the quiet street just outside the hotel and it felt very safe. The hotel is in a very good location near the opera, parks, shops and river, with beautiful old villas all around. The river was a big (good) surprise as we knew very little about Vichy. There was a lovely promenade with the park on one side and the river on the other. We had a really delicious dinner, we chose a tasting menu with wine selection. We did notice (as in a previous review) that the restaurant was very warm when we walked in but the staff were happy to put on the AC. Then with the doors open there was a nice breeze. The staff at this hotel were really attentive and friendly and we enjoyed our stay very much.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food in the restaurant was excellent for both dinner and breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful.
7.5 Good
Pros: A small upscale property in a location that used to be great but lost it chic. Good property, but the restaurant comes first.
Cons: The quality of fit-out is below the target standard.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It has its own personal touch. The food was artistic. the staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. They were not like those other big hotels who simply do their job.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike in this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very understanding receptionist with good English.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A lovely room in an excellent place - more a restaurant with rooms rather than a hotel. The Michellin Starred Restaurant is certainly not for anyone on a tight budget but if you can justify the cost, what a meal!! We indulged in the tasting menu and had one of the best meals of our lives.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The evening meal was quite excellent and we were well looked after. By the staff.
Cons: There was nothing to complain about
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely rooms. Great location. Fantastic restaurant
Cons: None

Pros: Receptionist Aurelian was amazingly welcoming and helpful. Because of the extreme heat in France at the time of our visit we had been upgraded to a suite with air conditioning which was a lifesaver.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very relaxing. Spa and massages available on site.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice looking hotel, good lobby and rooms.
Cons: While the aircon was working, it did not keep the room anywhere near cool enough.
6.8 Good
Pros: Good size room.
Cons: Air con useless. Room very hot.
7.5 Good
Pros: Super nice location in the city center of Vichy. Everything in the city was reachable on foot from the hotel. Very friendly staff and the ability of late check- in.
Cons: Some struggle to get the AC going. No possibility to darken the room completely so unfortunately woke up quite early from the sunlight.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable bad. Phenomenal jacuzzi in the room, although we struggled a little to get it running without flooding the bathroom. :-) Staff is very nice and you are very close to Vichy old city.
Cons: The breakfast is relatively basic with not much to choose. So 12,50 is too expensive.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Jacuzzi bath was great and the room was clean and well equipped very good value for money
Cons: Outside looks a bit tired
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location fantastic, free car park right next door, good price
Cons: Could do with a bit more gym equipment,

Hotel de Biarritz - Vichy - Building
8
9.0 Excellent (860 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel de Biarritz, you'll be centrally located in Vichy, just a 4-minute walk from Vichy Opera and 6 minutes by foot from Hall des Sources. Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and luggage storage. Limited parking is available onsite.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: To keep costs down for our one night stay en route to Provence we booked a double bed suite for my partner and I which had a connected twin room off our bedroom for our young adult children. The modern shower room with hand basin was small but very well appointed and everything worked well - a rainfall shower head as well as directional spray option was a nice addition. The wc was separate which was good given that the four of us were sharing the en-suite. For one night this suited our purpose, but given the ages of our children, if we were staying longer we would opt for two independent rooms each with their own en suites for additional privacy. The was a large floor standing air con unit in the double room which was essential given the 37 degrees outside but the adjoining room only had a fan. A breakfast buffet was an option but as the weather was so good and there were lots of cafes in the area, we opted to breakfast in the fountained square up to the left of the hotel where we bought fresh croissants and pastries from a boulangerie and ate them at the adjoining cafe which served drinks but not food (having checked with the owner first whether he did food!).
Cons: Mostly re location: This wasn't so big a deal especially if you have satnav but the overnight parking for the hotel was in a below ground public parking area on the far side of the square where we breakfasted. It was something like 5 euro for 24 hours which was fine. As the crow flies it was very near but due to the one way system it was 3 sides of a square to get to. We unloaded all our overnight bags and valuables whilst parked outside the hotel whilst 2 of us checked in with all the bags and 2 went off to park the car. I don't remember this being highlighted in the booking info but is useful to be aware of. The area is quite close to a pretty long park with bars dotted around the edge. We actually struggled to find a family restaurant to eat at which wasn't just snack based. It was either expensive Michelin star type or croque monsieur and burger so after much walking around we did find a friendly Italian restaurant with great stonebaked pizza just behind and across the road from a large bar at the left end of the park.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Closed to City. A monitored Parking place closed to hotel . I could park my motorcycle there against a parking fee overnight.
Cons: Hotel has not its own parking place / hotel doesn’t take over the parking fee.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect : directly in the city center near the carpark, but still very quiet and accessible
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is wonderfully clean, the room size is very good and the bathroom clean with new refurbishment....in fact the whole hotel has been refurbished to a very nice standard. The owners are very nice and helpful. This is a truly unexpected gem.
Cons: Even though there wasn't a lift, the patrons helped us with our luggage.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Group of us stayed here for a wedding nearby. The rooms were spotlessly clean and seemed to be recently renovated. Amazing showers! Staff were very nice and helpful, despite some with lack of English. We were offered by the lady on reception desk to iron the men's suits as they could not find the irons for guests. Very good value for money and location in vichy centre so close to everything. Fan, hairdryer and toiletries in room very welcome yet unexpected in a 2 star rating.
Cons: The top floor rooms are very small, which was not ideal for a couple trying to get ready for a wedding! Also, reception is closed from 12-4 in the afternoon which posed a problem for us as we needed to book a taxi due to rain. The lack of English was a hindrance but probably to be expected in such a remote town in France.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and modern. Close to centre. Good shower.
Cons: Separate toilet from the sink area. We upgraded our room but it was very small. Very little room to move around easily.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The renovations of this sweet, historic hotel were tasteful and functional. The interior design was great - very much in the style of a boutique hotel. The staff was exceedingly friendly, and the location was terrific (close to the parks, sources and lake; by all the shopping; and near a large parking lot) I would definitely stay there again!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Modern room with lovely shower room and separate WC. Central location.
Cons: No negative issues.
5.0 Okay
Pros: not much
Cons: very cramped
10.0 Excellent
Pros: great hotel and location

7.5 Good
Pros: Centrally situated. The Entrance hall was nice. Staff very pleasant.
Cons: We had a room overlooking the road at the front, it needed some refurbishment. Breakfast was poor. The 2 hot things was boiled eggs and small pancakes, 2 cheeses and 2 meats. Bread was nice.

Pros: Nice location, beautiful lobby with bar and nice breakfast area. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are nice. AC works great! The outdoor seating area in front is very nice. I’ve been to Vichy 5 years in a row. When I go back, I’m staying here again!
Cons: Elevator is a bit small- but that’s typical in older French Buildings.
7.0 Good
Pros: Old fashioned building with high ceilings. Location is next to a park on the river which is good for runners.
Cons: Elevator is small to fit a stroller and a passenger. No ramp for a stroller at the main entrance, so I had to carry over some steps. During the night I heard heating plumbing rattling which ruined my sleep.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: location, comfortable room, very clean
Cons: No tea/coffee making facilities in room.

6.8 Good
Pros: The hotel is centrally located, situated beside the park, close to the river. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Hotel staff are courteous and helpful.
Cons: The air conditioning system was unable to provide adequate cooling in all parts of the hotel, but especially noticeable in the rooms, especially at night. The swimming pool was a real disappointment - there were no umbrellas to provide shade and no bar service; the pool itself is limited in size.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very nice shower and bathroom. Location is great and we had a nice terrace on our room.
Cons: Room service is quiet an unusual menu and timings. Room is small for the cost. And breakfast although tasty is definitely not worth the cost. Parking is paid extra.
5.5 Okay
Cons: Staff doesn't speak or doesn't want to properly understand English.(Toubon law??) , but I don't mind that too much. Waiting for almost an hour for our car in the lobby.after checkout to be brought from their parking garage across the street to the hotel. Not really 5 star experience, rooms were a bit small and outdated , carpet on the floor needs replacement. But they have a big SPA and that is their usp. Overall ok, but nothing special.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and spacious room and easy access to spa.
Cons: Dinner a little disappointing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel in great location
Cons: Large room and staff were excellent.

Cons: It’s perfect.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: the hotel is well-located, the room is comfortable and we even had a little terrace, which we couldn't use because of the rain. the SPA area is spacious
Cons: the swimming pool at the 7th floor was cold. there is not really enough space for all in a mineral water pool in the SPA area. the price per room could have included visiting SPA already
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The garden was relaxing. The evening restaurant very good. Excellent breakfast
5.7 Okay
Pros: The hotel was beautiful and roomy, with a relaxed feeling. Le Bistrot restaurant was excellent, as was the lounge bar. It was nice that the guests had free access to saunas and the swimming pool. The hotel was well worth its price.
Cons: The room was a bit plain and didn`t have the same comfortable feeling as rest of the hotel. The bed was terribly soft and uncomfortable, and we did not sleep well in it. The treatments in the spa were not worth their price, and felt a bit unprofessional an uninspired.
5.3 Okay
Pros: Not much, however the room was quite comfortable.
Cons: The services in the bistrot was very slow...

8.3 Excellent
Pros: We liked the personalised greeting. The hotel though old, had a refreshing, tasteful, modern decor, lovely good size bedroom with elegant bathroom. The beautiful breakfast and restaurant dining rooms overlooked the well appointed little garden with a pool! We enjoyed a delicious evening dinner served in their lovely very busy resturant and was well priced.
Cons: We were booked for three nights, many weeks ahead, to our surprise after being all settled in, on the second day, the owner pressurised us to pack up and move to another room for one night to please her favourite client! We were very busy with the Ironman event and said it was not possible... besides we felt insulted to be put in that dilemma.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The quercky style of the decor. The food in the restaurant.
Cons: Could not pay by credit card.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location in Vichy close by both the river and the old part of town. Pleasant and well fitted room, nice restaurant with good set priced menu and an excellent breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful.

7.5 Good
Pros: nice welcome, good breakfast. nice clean facilities.
Cons: would have liked a room at the rear of the property if possible as I am a very light sleeper and needed the widows open to keep cool and the traffic noise kept waking me, but cannot blame the hotel for my sleep problem :)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The host is a wonderful man, creates a welcoming and warm atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious, wholesome, well served. The rooms are clean and nice!
Cons: The wifi is slow :(
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The familiy room was actually two rooms joined together with a bathroom in the middle. This gave us privacy and more confort. The area was very quiet at night, but central enough at thesame time. Everything was pleasant and well kept.
Cons: It as on a third floor without lift. Which is ok unless you are carrying lots of luggage or a dog that pulls a lot up and down stairs.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Bed very comfortable
Cons: I didn’t like not being able to open the window
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The family room spacious beds are comfy. We loved the cleanliness. A nice family hotel, found the style antique and beautiful.
7.5 Good
Pros: Friendly staff and nice facilities. Good money/value relation.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Nothing in particular or maybe just the facade and some of the deco’s inside the villa
Cons: Matrasses were too soft, the floor made of wood and constantly making noise and when one person wakes up in the villa everyone else knows it, no sound isolation whatsoever. Check-in hour, 10pm does not cater for late runners, we had to drive like crazy on a stormy weather to arrive there on time. Lucky us, we’ve made it, but the reception desk had made sure to repeat we were not welcome after the closing time
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was in the city and had shops around it, yet it was quiet. The bed was comfortable and rooms are big.
Cons: Parking was not private. Had to park on the streets around it.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel and I can only assume the receptionist, breakfast server was the owner, a fantastic guy, so helpful , was fantastic .
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner of the hotel gave us a very warm welcome and when we asked about its history he answered with enthusiasm; obviously is proud of his hotel and enjoys being in the hospitality business. Despite the location on a street corner the room was quiet. Each room is different and so feels more personal than chain hotel bedrooms. Comfortable bed and very good breakfast, at a very reasonable price.
Cons: Parking is on the street and free but you may be unlucky and not find a space close by. The hotel is a short walk to shops and restaurants but this part of Vichy has many one way streets so driving is not so easy; even our GPS didn't help.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Dog friendly; restaurant attached is fantastic; service brilliant!
Cons: Right next door to a strip club. Brawls outside all night until after 4am. Apparently normal, says the waitress across the road
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Fine breakfast. We would have liked to try the restautant but could not because of scheduling.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An extremely pleasant, value for money place!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet, clean, very spacious bathroom, excellent breakfast and perfectly located for the station which was what we wanted. Very, very good value for money. Friendly staff. Room temperature perfect and we slept very well.
Cons: Not luxurious but we weren’t paying luxury prices !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant location, right in the middle of Vichy. The room was massive and the bathroom big and modern. The towels and bed sheets were beautifully clean and soft. We also had a good breakfast in their restaurant and our dog seemed welcome there. The staff were nice and spoke English. We quite liked the atmosphere and decor of the hotel (elegant and old-fashioned, in a good way!).
Cons: The furnishing looked dated, the room could do with a more neutral, brighter and modern decor. Due to the hotel's location we had to pay for the parking.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I was specifically interested in the restaurant (L'escargot qui tette) which was very good.
Cons: I had trouble with their WIFI (not unusual for me in French hotels) but they bent over backwards to help me, even sending out a tech expert from their kitchen staff out to advise!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely bathroom clean modern and spacious. Staff were very nice...all perfectly clean...friendly atmosphere . Breakfast was EXCELLENT...fresh delicious croissants..yogurt..fresh juice..fruit crusty bread and cheese
Cons: Lift seemed a bit unstable...bedroom v dark
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Room excellent value for money, clean and comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel was a perfect for our short stay in Vichy located a few minuets walk from the center of the town. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The reception staff were helpful and polite. One of the best features of this hotel was the restaurant. I usually avoid hotel restaurants but this family run kitchen was excellent. The french style cuisine was well presented, absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. The owners differentiated their restaurant by dressing the staff as they would have appeared in restaurants when I was growing up 40 years ago. It was not just this touch of nostalgia that produced such a good experience it was the professional approach of the waiters.
Cons: It would have been convenient to have car parking but these older style building did not cater for vehicles when they were built. I used a 24 hour car park at the shopping center located about 10 minuets walk from the hotel. This was bookable on line and was reasonably priced.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very comfortable bed. Good shower and bathroom. Helpful lady at the reception desk. Basically it is a very decent old family-run hotel. And they have been there nearly 100 years which I liked!
Cons: Breakfast - the service was good, but the range of food choice was poor. Nasty orange juice, though excellent quality tea on offer to choose from. Nice bread roll, but nasty croissant. Considering the restaurant is Michelin-listed breakfast should have tried much harder for quality.
7.6 Good
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff and excellent restaurant
Cons: Noise when Lapdancing club next door closed.

7.5 Good
Pros: Good place for an overnight stay, with a comfy bed and quiet location. Excellent evening meal in the restaurant despite being the only people there. Breakfast was also good with a good choice of things to have.
Cons: Damp bathroom (room 1), comfort rooms are good value but are a little small especially if you have a bigger dog. Service in the restaurant wasn’t slick; although it should be said that our waiter was extremely helpful and made every effort to speak English where he could. As the only people staying at the hotel, and on a Sunday afternoon, we did feel that there was a skeleton crew working, but would imagine that there would be a greater feeling of atmosphere with more people / guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the whole Chateau, its personal straff, the dinner, the rooms were perfekt;-)
Cons: -
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The chateaux had been refurbished to a high standard. Shower was very good. Quite location.
Cons: The rear to the outside was not well kept. Needed attention. Could be so lovely sitting over looking the moat.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Style of the building Very good breakfast Bedrooms well equipped - free mini-bar and great bathroom
Cons: No outside sunbathing or relaxing area Lovely moat and terrace but sadly overgrown with weeds and bridge was fenced off Dinner menu had limited choice so we changed our plans and managed to find a great restaurant in nearby Vichy - not easy on a Sunday evening Also no bar or lounge area
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Absolutely amazing place to stay the restaurant food was delicious and served at a very high standard. Highly recommend.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable room, plenty of free car parking and staff were very friendly.
Cons: Thought the breakfast was a little basic for €13, staff always had to be searched for.
6.8 Good
Pros: Clean and comfortable. Good bed, good shower, big soft towels. Excellent breakfast and evening meal as mentioned in other reviews.
Cons: Service was sadly patchy at best. Some areas of the hotel looked and felt uncared for, particularly outside.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food and wine were excellent. The breakfast has local produce and is delicious
Cons: As per my previous reviews of this property, it is a pity the fence between the property and the moat has not been repaired which detracts from the experience
6.8 Good
Pros: The food in thee restaurant was very good and varied. All courses were well presented, tasty and reasonable in quantity. The location was a little remote but this provided peace and quiet. The room was somewhat small but otherwise comfortable.
Cons: The photographic descriptions provided in the advertising details showed that the moat was full of water but unfortunately upon our arrival it was empty but muddy, dirty and completely spoilt the view and the outside appearance.

Pros: Homely and well located
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It's traditional look and feel. Centre of city but very quiet in the courtyard rooms facing inwards Friendly helpful staff/manager.
Cons: It's a locally run inner city hotel. Don't expect it to be as plastic and shine like the hotel chains. Be realistic and you will enjoy. Nothing bad to say
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were very kind and helpful, the hotel was excellent and is in a very good location in town center
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful host, good location for visiting the town centre.
Cons: The bathroom was VERY small..
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the hotel were very friendly, welcoming, helpful and informative. The hotel is clean and tidy and very homely. We felt immediately relaxed on arrival. This is a quirky hotel and that is completely part of its charm. It is a little tired in places but has a really lovely atmosphere. The hotel is in a very central location enabling us to walk out to restaurants and shops. Breakfast was served in a beautiful room (looks like an old ball room) overlooking a terrace, Breakfast choices were very good and fresh. Clean friendly service and a relaxing atmosphere. In our room we had a lovely shower and I know this sounds a minor detail but the quality of the toilet paper was excellent .. nice detail as I hate cheap looroll ! Would stay here again in Vichy and recommend to families.
Cons: Some of the decorations in the room (stickers on the walls ?) were a little strange and not to everyones taste. Perhaps a little redecoration would be welcome to freshen but we like the overall character of the hotel. Parking in the streets only... and we found this challenging on a Saturday night.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The manager was very friendly and helpful.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very polite, friendly and helpful check in. Very positive old school downtown flair inside the hotel. Quiet, spacious room, very comfortable bed. Perfect location at the city center, cheap underground parking (La Poste, 8€/24h) in short walking distance. Very fair price.
Cons: Nothing to complain about.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owners and the welcoming.the breakfast..
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Its in an excellent position with gated parking and the staff are always lovely
Cons: I would describe it as " faded grandeur" which is reflected in the very reasonable price, I have stayed before and will stay again.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location, friendly staff, paid parking close by.
Cons: Saloon doors on the bathroom were a bit unusual. No top sheet on the bed.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Right in centre. Balcony. Restaurant looked good & very busy. Secure parking well placed just across from hotel Reception very helpful ( gave detailed easy to follow directions to get to hotel as normal road to hotel closed for resurfacing!)
Cons: Nothing really bathroom a bit small especially shower cubicle but ok for one night
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect. Unfortunately it is an old hotel and the carpet in the rooms reflects that a little. I will never understand why there is carpet in the rooms, but the doors are old and make a lot of noise when opened or closed.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The Villa is some 200 years old and has some great characteristics. The room was extensive and we loved the french doors onto the balcony. Our hosts were very accommodating and patient as we arrived 1 hour late. A great taste of old world France in a nice way.
