A palace built for the Havana aristocracy (who must have known the first three rules of real estate: location location location) this stately palace is on the eastern side of Plaza de Armas with Havana Bay at her back. The arched colonial façade opens into an elegant lobby with crystal chandeliers and antique furniture. This is the real deal a true 19th century palace which captures the regal feel of historic Havana. The open courtyard with cheerful bubbling fountain and limestone columns is a perfect alibi to escape from the bustle outside. The standard rooms are breathtaking with their "colonial" design and modern comforts (without the small sitting area as in the junior suite). The French balcony doors open onto a dazzling and spacious terrace with inspiring views. All rooms feature Air Conditioning Phone Satellite TV Safety Deposit Box Room Service Hair Dryer Private Bathroom Power 110V/60Hz Power 220V/60Hz and Minibar ($). The furniture in the junior suites (down to the bedside footstool) re-creates how the rooms must have been equipped in the 19th century without being outdated or old-fashioned. Wrought iron beds beautiful tiled floors and a stylish modern bathroom. Junior suites include a sitting area; all face the Plaza de Armas. The suite is similar furnished and equipped as the junior suite and standard rooms but even more spacious as its younger sisters. But especially the suite stands out as the VIP room of this equal VIP hotel. Celebrities such as Sting Jack Nicholson former President Jimmy Carter and Robert Plant have spent a Cuban night here. The extremely privileged spot of Santa Isabel not only puts many landmarks of the historic center within walking distance it also allows you to choose whether to stroll along the narrow city streets or along the seawall. Its location on the pleasant Plaza de Armas is unparalleled. There is no swimming pool neither a gym however the typical traits of colonial houses are present: the beauty and abundant vegetation of the interior patio surrounded by elegant columns that sustain the upper floors where the colonial architecture is combined with the perfect comfort of modern hotels. The foyer of the hotel is in the ground floor as well as the reception is the desk office the Commercial Hotel Management El Condado Restaurant the Pink Hall restaurant the Santovenia Lobby Bar El Globo snack bar the toilets the central kitchen and warehouses. On the second floor are located the Cyber Café the General Management and 13 rooms with balconies and 10 Junior suite rooms. The house keeper office is on the third floor as well as other 1 4 double rooms 10 of them with terrace and 4 balconies. The roof of the building is also a lookout where the visitor will be able to enjoy a splendid view of the baroque and eclectic monuments of Havana also the bay the Christ statue of Havana La Giraldilla among others.
