Pros: We were looking for somewhere to stop overnight after crossing from England. This was an excellent choice. The accommodation was great, breakfast typically French and we went on our way next day into Germany rested and refreshed.
Pros: Excellent facilities. Nice surroundings. Super host who went out of his way to get us breakfast early , as we had a ferry to catch. Near to shops and small town, which we shall explore next time!
Cons: There is nothing to dislike. Wish we could have stayed longer. Only an overnight stop before heading back to England.
Pros: Superb accommodation with the highest levels of access to all areas. Equipment also good and surrounded by wonderful gardens. Our host Olivier was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and the generous breakfast was outstanding in variety and quality.
Cons: There was nothing we did not like...!
Pros: wonderful breakfast
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable, as was the bathroom. The gardens were well maintained and attractive. The owner delivered a delicious breakfast to our room the following morning.
Cons: The accommmodation is right on a busy road which we found noisy. Also, we had booked expecting a genius 10% discount which the owner would not honour even though we showed him the booking confirmation. It was not a huge amount extra but we felt disappointed that he charged us more than we were expecting. He had sent an email prior to our arrival with his room charge clearly stated so we can only assume he did not approve booking.com’s discount offer.
Pros: Excellent varied breakfast - not just croissants and bread. Delivered to our room at nominated time. Excellent.
Cons: Nothing - met expectations and beyond. 45 minutes from Calais on direct main road.
Pros: Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, nice rural setting which was close to other towns
Cons: We have no complaints
Pros: Hosts couldn’t have done more to help. Beautiful garden.
Cons: On a very busy road
Pros: It's lovely. The owner was welcoming and friendly. The gite was clean and comfortable with very nice furnishings. The bed really comfortable and the bathroom great with a big shower. There's a kettle, mini fridge and microwave so you can heat up your own food. It also has a lovely garden.
Cons: It's hard to find as it wasn't available on the sat Nov.

Pros: Bistro was amazing
Pros: breakfast and dinner very good hotel just reopened after renovations. all very clean would stay there again
Pros: Excellent restaurant. Very dog friendly. Comfortable room.
Cons: Rather bizarre interior decor, maybe just not our taste
Pros: Accommodation the best and very good value for money. You are on site for a magnificent restaurant
Cons: Restaurant staff friendliness. I felt as though a single diner was not quite as welcome as a couple or group booking
Pros: Owner was very friendly and helpful. As well as the bedroom there was a kitchen/sitting room. There was a good place for our cycles. The property was within easy reach of the station.
Cons: The room was a bit cluttered with excess furniture.
Pros: Simple, friendly Central great breakfast
Pros: We have stayed at this property on a number of occasions and have always received a warm welcome and found the accommodation comfortable with a good standard continental breakfast. The home made jam an added bonus!
Cons: None to comment on.
Pros: Everything was perfect. We even left the wedding earlier so we could spend quiet time at the rented place :)
Pros: This accommodation is surprisingly quiet for a town location. We have stayed many times which should be sufficient to indicate our satisfaction. It is ideally situated if en-route to Dunkirk to catch the ferry or exploring the area.
Cons: Parking is on the street and can sometimes be difficult which may not be to everyone's liking but we have never experienced any problems.
Pros: Breakfast was Continental but excellent selection of bread, cheese, ham, preserves, etc.
Pros: Big room with interesting furnishings. Provided us with a parking permit, we were lucky enough to park right outside the property. Breakfast was delivered to door with a gentle tap of door to let us know it was ready. Couldn’t do enough to help and make sure we had all we needed.
Pros: The owner was very welcoming, nice bars and restaurants within walking distance.
Cons: All good no complaints.

Pros: Excellent food, good surroundings
Pros: Dinner was excellent however breakfast was rather disappointing. The rooms are on the small side but very adequate and bed was extremely comfortable. The stairs to the accommodation are precipitous and could be a problem for some guests.
Cons: Breakfast was rather disappointing. Too much cake and not enough bread (could the owners possibly be related to Marie Antoinette?!)
Pros: The outstanding food at the restaurant, nice bath
Cons: All okay

Pros: The breakfast was generously set out and the property was delightful. A beautiful garden to sit in and relax and so close to the canal for cycling which was my main reason for that area plus the delightful gastronomy in the area. The patron was warm and friendly and we spoke in french and english which was good as he has excellent english but realised I wanted to speak in french too. He is an interesting host and there was much to discuss. Plenty of parking. I hope to take my family there in the near future.
Cons: The tricky door but I mastered it before I left - a one-nighter might not! The late night dog barking - not the owners fault as it came from elsewhere.
Pros: The owner and location were lovely
Cons: The bedroom we had damp and needed decorating also the bathroom was not great
Pros: It was clean, full of history and we love the decor.

Pros: Very convenient for Ypres but at a much reduced cost due to the event taking place in and around Ypres.
Cons: The Shower / toilet facilities are very compact and basic, however everything worked
Pros: The female receptionist was very happy and wiling to help although she spoke little English we managed to get directions to nearby sights, she was lovely and couldn’t be more helpful
Cons: The rooms are basic, you get what you pay for but for an overnight stop, not bad!
Pros: The owner was very kind, he offered his best with help of the accomodation. Comfortable bed Great breakfast
Cons: The location is a bit far from the city They have exact time for check in English is not offered for communication
Cons: we agreed with the hotel to arrive and check in at 2pm but when we arrived the door was locked and nobody came when we rang the doorbell. There was a note with a phone number on the door, so we called the number but only got an answer machine, we left a message and our phone number, but never received a reply. We drove off with our luggage again and returned at 6pm. When confronted with what happened, the lady at the front desk quite rudely denied she wasn't there... No apologies at all. When we paid, she filled in a higher amount on the credit card machine terminal. When I pointed this out, she answered "oh I thought you where another customer who booked a more expensive room". That was after I already spelled my name, showed her my booking details, told her about our appointment at 2pm, pointed out my name on her booking list... Sorry to say, but this lady really can't cope with her job.

Pros: Breakfast was very nice and good value, the waitress was friendly and helpful.
Cons: Decor very dated and not particularly clean.
Pros: The hotel proprietor was very friendly and helpful. The room was good and the shower was excellent. Breakfast was terrific. Location was close to town square.
Pros: Location was excellent. Very close to the town square.
Pros: The location was fantastic, very typical French hotel. Lovely staff. The room was basic and clean.
Cons: It seems that there were bed bugs, I was bitten badly and reacted and had to have antihistamines to counter the bites.
Pros: near the train station. fair price. I was in a new room with a new shower so it was pleasant. quiet, clean and warm in a cold winter night. i slept very well.
Cons: hotel needs updating. room a bit crowded wiht eating table, desk and not a lot of walking room. there were no kettle or facilities for a hot dirnk, nor a cold drink. but i would not expect luxury at 61 euros per night.
With a stay at Auberge de la Foret in Hazebrouck, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Saint Eloi Church and Public Garden. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: Dreadful dried up meat and awful meal Nearly everything Poor breakfast and coffee for €8
Pros: The Manager who worked long hours
Cons: Second floor room up lots of quite steep stairs
Pros: Great restaurant although service a touch slow. Nothing to complain about really, food was good. Rooms a little dated but clean, quiet and comfortable. Ample safe parking.
Pros: The food
Cons: It was dated and run down
Pros: The staff was fantastic and attentive to our needs. They were warm and helpful during our entire stay. The hotel’s appearance is very quaint and charming with lots of interesting interior design. We ate dinner at the small restaurant in the hotel and the food and wine were both excellent. The staff also spoke English which was very helpful for us.
Cons: There is not much in this area of the town in terms of dining, but the restaurant in the hotel was delicious, so that didn’t end up mattering. There was also no A/C or fans so you have to sleep with the windows open if it’s hot outside. It wasn’t bad, just not ideal. But the rest of the experience was so pleasant that I don’t really count it against them and would still stay here again.
Pros: Charming traditional French Auberge. A little faded and maybe in need of a lick of paint but this was more than made up for by the warm welcome and excellent food. Dinner was excellent value for money and delicious. The patron was attentive, friendly and professional.
Cons: My only criticism of the room was there was a limited amount of lighting in the bedroom. This was particularly inconvenient in the toilet cubicle.
Pros: The friendlness of the Patron. The quality of the dinner and staff.
Cons: Ther was really nothing to fault
Pros: The friendly warm welcome was a great start. Very friendly, answered all the main questions about wifi, breakfast, and how the hotel works, in the welcome. I had seen online the amazing food on offer in this establishment, and wow, it was amazing. The restaurant had a wonderful ambience, the food was outstanding. This is a place for all the foodies out there. Even I was beaten with the size of the portions, and that never happens! The staff love their place of work, and they love food they create and enjoy giving you the best experience. Well done, 5*
Cons: Shame to say the room was a little tired, and lacked electric sockets. But bed was very comfortable, and had plenty of pillows.
Pros: Good food. Well positioned for overnight stay. Nice areaA perfect one night stay
Pros: Friendly owner, staff. Superb food, particularly the salmon - we can't speak highly enough of the salmon. Pretty location, hotel is full of character and must have been fabulous in its day. Although some items are shabby, the overall impression is charming.
Cons: The bath was awkward in which to shower. I recommend installing a stand up shower over the bath. Towels were too small and rather threadbare. New thick big towels would make a big difference to the visitor's perception of this inn. Some of the decor is a little shabby.
With a stay at Hôtel Fleur De Lys in Hazebrouck, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Saint Eloi Church and Public Garden. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very comfortable, large, open room with a vestibule. Excellent shower
Cons: 2 km from the city centre so you need to bring your own dinner.
Pros: Continental Breakfast was fresh and very nice, beds comfy and room reasonably clean, bathroom was clean but shower over flowed every day leaving a damp smell, hotel is more like an American motel stuck at edge of town, good 30 mins flat walk to the town centre, a few cafes, bars n some nice restaurants in town!
Cons: Motel style n shower was poor
Pros: Room was lovely and spacious with ensuite. Great to have had a microwave as well. Nice facilities and countryside location. Lady checking me in was nice. Nice and bright room.
Cons: Bed wasn't that comfortable for me personally. TV didn't function and only had access to one channel. Was a bit chilly but was able to up the temperature. Location was a bit further out than expected.
Pros: staff very helpful and polite
Cons: nothing to dislike A1
Pros: Basic room, but worth the money we paid, bed was comfortable. It had a microwave and fridge in the room and the room was large. Parking outside the room
Cons: Toilet seat kept falling off, no shower door on shower cubicle, meant water all over the floor. We paid extra for breakfast, had to boil our own egg but the machine they used didn’t work correctly, people kept turning it off, so water was cold.
