Nice fod good info on whiskey When checked out and leaving , I recommand hat the people at the reception desk inform/remember foreigners to drive at the left side. I did leave the hotel and had a car accident on the road up the hill ! total loss, just because I did forget I was in the uk
Excelent staff, 1st class food and service, high standards throughout Bar closed too early(10.50)
The quality of the food was very high and the staff were very attentive and polite. The quality of the bedroom was adequate but we expected a higher standard.
Super location and friendly staff None
Staff were wonderful, helpful and really polite. None.
Friendly, mainly local staff; excellent food in both main Restaurant and Bistro; comfortable/relaxed atmosphere; ideal location for exploring Scottish Borders. Two night weekday stay and upgraded to a Superior Room at no extra cost. None
The staff were very helpful. I have not received a more helpful, polite and welcoming welcome from all the hotels that I have stayed in over the years. The bed was comfortable, the food excellent and staff very attentive.
The position Burned Poached egg! How do you burn a poached egg!! Also the plug in the bathroom didn't work
Hotel was comfortable and served excellent food - both dinner and breakfast. Was not easy to find in the dark though!
The hotel has a delightful situation on the banks of the Tweed and adjoins the picturesque ruins of Dryborough Abbey. The staff are warm and welcoming, food is good with excellent service at table. Our bedroom and the public rooms were attractive and comfortable. The hotel is smart but has an informal, friendly atmosphere, fishing rods, bicycles, dogs and walking boots all welcomed. The hotel is on the coast and castles cycle route,we enjoyed cycling straight out of the carpark into the quiet and beautiful countryside. None experienced
The location - in a farmhouse in the countryside just out of town. Ideally placed to go to a restaurant in town, and in a peaceful beautiful setting. The b&b is ideally situated for people who are interested in visiting the medieval abbeys and castles nearby. The room wasn't heated very well and poorly insulated. The shower didn't work properly - there was only a trickle of water from the showerhead which made the shower unusable.
Lovely location, run by such a helpful lady. Only a few bedrooms in the farmhouse but so peaceful and homely for it. Very classy, run by We really enjoyed meeting our fellow guests over breakfast but not everyone might; just be aware breakfast is served to all guests at the same 1 large dining table so you will be getting to know each other if you eat at the same time :) Difficult to find - ensure you know exactly where you are going before setting out
Surrounding countryside is very stunning, close to other towns in the area. Lovely old house on a working farm, makes a good base for exploration of the borders area, nice walks and many historical places of interest to visit.
Good family facility. Seperate area for shower and bathroom. No lock on door when leaving room.
Friendly hosts and a lounge for guests including an open fire Bed wasn't fantatstic and no shower - we used the old bath and there was plenty of hot water!
It were friendly staff and it were quit place. OK I need a dutch
Friendly and individual service.
nice place, very friendly people
peaceful and relaxing lovely country side only a short drive to hawick some nice places to eat. didnt like the shooting did spoil the peace for a while.
Excellent B & B.Lovely room and best bath I have used in accomadation for years.Really good brakfast.
The room was clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was in a good central location. There were not many vegetarian options on the menu.
Quite frankly leaving A male member of staff at the hotel (not sure if owner or manager) ruined our stay. basically I thought he was immensely greedy. We had enquired about keeping the room on until the afternoon of our last day and he replied that someone was booked to come into it, however as soon as a payment was mentioned he allowed us to stay on until 2pm and then proceeded to charge us £30 on our card. I think this is outrageous and cannot be justified, had we known in advance of the price we would have left it and gone and paid for a nice meal for 2 somewhere to kill time. I also found when checking our bill that 2 small glasses of wine had cost us £7.50 and to add insult to injury we had not drank it because it was sour. Female staff very pleasant
friendly welcome and service breakfast a little plain
Excellent accomodation, good staff, good food None
Excellent, friendly staff. Room small but perfectly adequate, the real plus points were the bathroom which was big with a great shower and also the breakfast. Fantastic - I would definately recommend the Station Hotel. None
Clean and comfortable room. Good extras in the room - freeview TV, coffe/tea making + biscuits, trouser press. Excellent breakfast. Lack of water pressure in the shower
very friendly staff and a very clean and pleasant room
Staff friendly and helpful Would be helpful if a second chair in bedroom when occupied by 2 people
food was out of this world not what you would expect from a small town
Lovely town By a busy road
Town centre location, and the breakfast was lovely.....
The restaurant was excellent, comfortable and relaxing and appropriately priced. Parking was good and the rooms were large and comfortable with good facilities, the reception was courteous and efficient. No
A large airy room, easy and secure parking
The food was exceptional both evening meal and Breakfast Nothing at all
The attention to detail. No, the proprietors are very busy updating and upgrading the hotel and this is clearly in evidence.
room was cold until heating came on.
The management and staff were excellent and accomodating. Reservation was booked for my parents. They were able to check in early, with ease and a great welcome. They had a great experience at the hotel and would strongly recommend both for location, service and quality.
Clean, comfortable. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
Being comfartable Good housekeeping, a rare comodity now. Excellent mini high tea menu and a great breakfast served courteously
Warm and friendly, comfortable room, excellent breakfast served with a smile. Just a minute or two walk to the lovely little village and interesting church.
Lovely food and good, friendly staff and atmosphere
Large room Pubic hair on bathroom floor on arrival, poor food, breakfast not hot.
Excellent food, friendly and efficient staff. The hotel is under new management and upgrading is ongoing. We were in no way inconvenienced during our visit.
Food, freindly staff
Lovely location for a quiet weekend walking in the Scottish Borders. Nice restaurant with good choice of menu.
The Hotel was clean ,warm, comfortable and very peaceful. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. We had dinner one night which wasn't quite up to standard.
The service was excellent from the minute we walked through the door. The staff were very attentive without being in your face. We felt that the staff were interested in you and were happy to find out what you were doing and could help with recommendations for places to visit and things to do.
Lovely room and decor in general Drinks were very expensive (even allowing for usual high hotel bar prices).
The room was a large and of good standard Staff were very friendly and attentive The food in the Bistro was of pub standard but at middle restaurant prices Out of character with the image of the hotel and needs to be improved to encourage repeat visits
location and friendly staff also the food was excellent
